Skype's customer service fortress

Since Skype doesn't allow phone calls and since Skype only allows live chat to "eligible customers". Since I have a fraudulent skype charge on my bank account what I am suppose to do? Come here and be all like here's my first 4 and last 4 of my credit card, here's my name and address for all the public to see? What do I have to do? Contact the FTC?

Skype is aware of lingering problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this may also block reaching an agent.

    Have a subscription and suffer through terrible phone connections when I try to speak with my colleagues in China.  Yesterday, tried to call Seoul, South Korea and even though I have unlimited landline and mobile access to all the countries (yes, Korea is on the list of available countries) I was denied and told I had to purchase Skype credit.  No problem, bought the credit so I could make my appointment call and figured I would call Skype the next day to resolve my issue of having to pay for credit even though I pay a monthly subscription fee (yes, my subscription is curren!).  
    WOW, what did I find out (too late).  It is impossible to speak with anyone.  No customer service line exists.  Unbelievable!  Posted twice to the "community board" about my problem but not sure as how that will resolve anything (haven't heard a thing in two days).  So what, I'm just screwed now??  This type of practice is unethical.  I will definitely cancel my subscription when my current subscription has expired.  What a poor practice.  I won't recommend SKYPE to anyone.

    I hate them for different reasons I have been trying to cancel my subscription for months now and they wont let me they send me a bill to one e-mail and when I try various ways of getting in they say that, that e-mail doesn't exist and yet their still taking money out of my account.     I am not happy with Skype Customer Service.  My work forced me to log out of Skype to get my WiiFii working (don't ask me why).  I logged out, but could not log back in because I forgot my password.  I tried to get my password, but it went to an old non-existant email.  I then contaced Skype about 5 times to help; and they claim they can't identify me.  No one to talk to no emails to resolve it nada.  I want to keep my Skype account and want to work with customer service, but they are not at all good on interaction.  Anything I can do to get them to work with me?  I lost my contacts and funds .. not happy.  Is there a better service than Skype for customer service?

    Please understand that Workspaces is a free service; Adobe doesn't charge for it. As a result, it is not possible to provide 1:1 support. But I will try to answer your questions:
    What size limits are there on quantity of documents, total storaga capacity, folder sizes etc   -- No limit on number of documents uploaded or folder sizes, but the overall size limit for an account is 5 GB.
    Is there a limitation on the number of users who can be sharing workspaces, collaborating on documents -- no limit.
    Can access limitations other than Administrator / non-Administrator be set on Workspaces -- no, these are the only roles.

    I am having a major issue with Skype right now... I TRIED to pay for a Skype number along with a 3 month subscription for $18.00... and something went wrong on PayPal's side and the payment never went through... So then I called PayPal and they said that I could try it again.... So I looked on my Skype account and now somehow I have THREE pending PayPal orders for a Skype Number... and also a pending payment for a visa payment.. because I really need this subscription and just wanted it to go through faster... 
    I have emailed Skype's customer service and they have answered TWICE now with a link that doesn't work.. 
    WHY can't Skype have a Customer Service PHONE NUMBER so that I can talk to an actual person in REAL time and not waste my time with this BS? This is seriously a joke.. I am trying to pay them for a service and I have to wait for them to find the time to help me...

    Then, you may please contact Skype customer service to request a refund of the subscription and credit.

  • Customer service with a person please

    There is a  $71.30 charge on my American Express which I did not authorize.  to compound the issue, I  do not have sufficient funds to call my country. Please some one contact me.

    I tried the link to contact customer service, but it told me I don't have the authority to contact customer service - yeah, how borked is that?
    Skype is crashing every 30 seconds today all day about 15 crashes so far.  I can't even find a way to let them know this.

    If, after updating your Skype software, the crashes continue, please post a new request with as much information about your system as possible on the correct message board matching your operating system.
    Skype is aware of lingering website issues experienced when trying to contact Skype's customer service unit.  Temporarily enabling scripts, pop-up dialog boxes, and disabling plug-ins which could prohibit pop-ups may help get past website problems.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
    If you still experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.  A few people reported back that they suddenly succeeded after several failed attempts.

    You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the web-form and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype and you will receive a reply via e-mail unless you are transferred to start an instant message chat session with a Customer Service agent.

    Hi Skype Customer Service,
    I have previously sent an email, about two weeks ago, regarding the use of Skype as a customer service hotline- however, we have no received any feedback.
    If we could get some assistance, it would be greatly apprpecaited.
    Our company would like to use Skype as a customer service tool interface and need the assistsance of Skype to do so.
    Our questions are:
    1. To who should we speak with to set up a business acount
    2. Are there any regualtions/precaustionaries that we must first be aware of
    3. Is there dedicated support? Such as, will it always be in the formmat of sending an email (such as this) or is there a hotline available for us to speak to a representative for a faster service.
    4. Do you have any other companies that are currently using Skype for the same reason that you would be able to share some of the best practices on how to best use this tool.
    There are also a couple more specific questions that arise from these four questions, but we would greatly appreciate feedback regarding these questions to begin the process and then look at more specifics later.
    If we could please contact as soon as possible, we are extremely interested in getting this up and running as soon as possible.

    You ask, "what is happening at Skype..?" Dude, unfortunately, Skype is now owned by Microsoft. Skype has gone downhill since the buyout just like their Windows 8 systems is going downhill because is completely sucks as an alternative to Apple's OS. Ever check out Apple's customer service...?     Microsoft needs to "take a look and listen!" It's complete BS that customer service representatives aren't "made" available to assist us paying customers. Skype needs a good competitor to steal it's business as a result. Beware M.S... it won't be long... you'll lose out for the same poor business plan you had with your OS platform! In the interim, give us a live person to speak with!!!!

    Hello, I have a Skype (Baddieisboss) which I have used for over 2 years to run a business. I have accumulated over 5000 contacts throughout the 2 years which were customers and potential customers. Today I woke up, my Skype was logged off and it had said I had been blocked from using Skype. I contacted customer support and they told me I was suspended permanently for solicitation (breach of paragraph 6.3 (c) of the Terms of Use which prohibits the use of the Skype software to send unsolicited communications). I dug into this issue a bit more because I have never spammed anyone for any reason and found out that there was a huge loop hole that people are taking advantage of to close down Skype accounts with ease. All it takes is to make a few fake Skype accounts, add the person and use the report abuse function. The person doesn't even have to accept your friend request for you to do this. Customer service gives you automated messages saying it will not be reversed and to make a new account. Their automated system is very flawed and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. There are many other posts of people who are having the same issue. Russians add you, tell you to pay X amount of money or they will have your account banned, and voila 10 minutes later you're offline.I have tried to contact the skype email several times, they send automated messages and don't care about their customers at all, please help.

    They have promised twice to reply but do not.
    I have posted on the board. A mod replies, but does not answer my question fully and does not reply to follow up questions.

  • Scam? Hacked account? Skype customer service

    How can I know that it is not a scam? I made a complaint about an undelivered message and a refund claim. I received a confirmation email and a response email (attached below). I clicked the link and was directed to a chat. I was asked to provide my first name and my user. I was directed from one area to billing area. In that area I was asked to provide the first 6 and the last 4 digits of my payment card. I was told that somebody was using my card and that if I wanted to report it, I had to provide information on the name on the card and the issuing country. I didn't feel comfortable releasing such information and said that I would check with my bank. I have checked with my bank and no unusual movements have been made.
    Do you really use a customer support chat skype.ehosts.net?
    Am I supposed to provide that much detail?
    I don't feel safe using skype anymore. I want to cancel my account and ask for a refund of my unused credit. I won't provide any further details. If you are skype, you are supposed to know how I payed you, aren't you?

    I am pleased to confirm to you the message you received is legitimately from Skype Customer Service.  What you describe is Skype's method of authenticating your credentials, in other words, proving you are who you say you are.  These procedures are used to prevent identity theft.  Another good rule: ensure the communication method starts with https:// which tells you the communication method is secure.
    I use live customer service chat with other services; all of the chats start with https:// in the header of the chat window.  I have been asked similar questions, and for account-related enquiries, even more details are asked in order to confirm I am authorized to discuss the account.
