Skype STOLE my Skype Number after 4 years of ownin...

I have been in a whirl with Skype's customer service now for 3 weeks. I can't believe how poorly I have been treated. Here is the story:
I had a Skype number for nearly 4 years now. It was apparently up for renewal on Nov 8, 2013. I can't say why it did not renew. Skype claims my CC on file was expired which it was not. In addition they never notified me that it did not go though. The also did not notify me when they disconnected it. I only found out when a fried tried to call me then called my cell.
I have at least 4 Skype operators in writing admitting they messed up and never contacted me. There is not a shred of an email, message, text, call nothing to indicate an issue with my number. Since I can still make outbound calls why would I know anything???
Anyway the moment I became aware of the issues I tried to renew the number. It was FEB 14th and the number had gone back into the available pool. Someone of course had already reserved the number. Luckily the Skype operator ABIGAIL M said it was ok as they did not pay for it and it would be available again on MARCH 4th so I should sit tight and grab it again then. I am sorry I decided to calm down and agree to this...
March 4th I sign on at 11:20AM Eastern and surprise the number is still not available. I get back on with Skype operator CHERRY O who tries to tell me I can't get the number back for another 60 days and that ABIGAIL M was wrong to say 30 days. I lose it at this point and sign off to try again with another operator later.
At 7PM Eastern I get online with JAIME T who now informs me that ABIGAIL M was right and it was CHERRY O who was wrong. Problem is that before I could grab my number back that someone else had already taken it and paid for it! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!
Then March 5th from 7:20PM Eastern though 11:30PM Eastern I go through RACHEL N, JESUS M and finally RYAN M. I am begging every one of these people to SIMPLY CONTACT THE NEW BUYER and POLITELY ASK THEM TO SWITCH NUMBERS. They don't have to agree to change but would assumingly as they wouldn't want to get calls for me from 4 years of business contacts, etc.
NOT ONE OF THE 5 SKYPE OPERATORS HELPED RESOLVE THIS. None would agree to moderate between myself and the current number holder to do a transfer. If that person simply gives up the number it would be a 90 day wait with no way to guarantee I'd get the number back. They need to do a transfer as this is the only way to make it work. I have no way to contact them aside from calling the number and leaving voicemails.
Skype has done nothing for me other than to repeatedly say "sorry".
SOMEONE STEP UP, GO UP THE LADDER TO WHOEVER CAN RESOLVE THIS. I mean really it shouldn't be that hard and it's 100% Skypes fault - over and over in this incident.

What you so well describe here, a number transfer (highlighted by me in orange type) is not something Skype has the facility to do:
None would agree to moderate between myself and the current number holder to do a transfer. If that person simply gives up the number it would be a 90 day wait with no way to guarantee I'd get the number back. They need to do a transfer as this is the only way to make it work. I have no way to contact them aside from calling the number and leaving voicemails.
In the system's simplicity, there is no flexibility. 
Just out of curiosity ... and curiosity alone, have you checked the e-mail address on your account to double-check it is the correct registered e-mail address?  I ask because I recently did a Skype Number renewal, and I received e-mail alerts every step of the way.

    As strange as it sounds, this is how to change the term of your Skype Number subscription:
    Cancel, yes; cancel, your current month-to-month Skype Number subscription.  This will prevent the month-to-month subscription from renewing.  You have use of the Skype Number until the last day of the subscription.
    Sign on to your account dashboard the next day or even the day of your current subscription's expiration, where you should be greeted with a triangle icon alerting you to reactivate your Skype Number.  Click on the link beside it, where you will be able to reinstate your subscription for a longer term.
    (Your Skype Number will be held on your account for 90 days after the month-to-month subscription ends.)

        I'm travelling to Europe (France & Spain) from India. Since Skype hasn't started the Skype to Go in India, I was thinking of going for a Skype to Go number in the USA, which my family will call from their existing Skype credit (through WiFi on iPhone). One Skype to Go number of the USA will be configured to call France and another to call Spain.Therefore, when someone calls my USA number (either through a landline in India or through Skype), it will be routed to my France/Spain local mobile number, which I will purchase on arrival. I wish to know if this (calling from Skype to the Skype to Go number) is really possible. If not, what can be the solution. Also kindly suggest any alternate route other than the USA which will be more reasonable.
    One may ask why take so much trouble, and rather not call directly from Skype to the local France/Spain mobile number. The issue is that I wish to be accessible to other important people who do not use Skype, and will call from their Indian landlines to the USA (caling from India-USA on landline is quite reasonable compared to other countries). I will share my Skype to Go numbers with whom I want to be in touch when abroad. 
    I chose USA since India-USA on Skype/Indian landline is cheap & USA-Europe is again reasonable with unlimted packages on Skype pay as you go. Please get back to me.

    1. You need Time Machine
    2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
    3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
    4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
    5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
    6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

  • Skype UK area code number

    There are only 30-odd code numbers in the drop-down list that appears when selecting a code prefix number for the UK.  There used to be an (033) catch-all, trans-UK number but that is no longer on the list.  I'm 10 miles from Bath and Warminster -- but there is no code offered for my town, although businesses here do have Skype numbers that reflect the BT coding system.  How do I get the code I want?  (I'd prefer 033 as I tend to move house every once in a while.)

    You have to just sign in with your Adobe Id during the installation process and it will validate your subscription from the activation server. Once your Id is validated then your subscription will be activated. You don't need serial number to activate subscription.

    I have a Skype Unlimited World account that is paid for by my company.
    I would like to get an additional Skype phone number to use for a my side business which caters to U.S. customers. 
    I live abroad in Thailand and would like a U.S. number for my website.
    If I purchace a Skype U.S. number, would that take the place of my existing Skype ID that I use for my company?
    Can I have them seperate and would the fact that I have a subscription allow me to have a discount on the new Skype number?

    The answer to your question is, Yes. Your Skype Name (a Business Member) can receive calls into your PBX.  All you have to do is make sure that it is added to your SIP Profile and that's it.  Then, when a Skype Client calls you, you will answer it in your PBX.  Again, the only problem would be is if that User Name is a Personal Skype user, you will not be able to use that name, but can  use a new name like "Call-Jase" or something like that.
    I hope this helps you get going with your Skype Name in your PBX.  Have fun.

    Skype rejects my phone number on verification. The number is correct.

    If you're talking about the phone number used for sms verification codes with iCloud keychain, the number can be changed as follows:
    iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
    OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Make sure the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

    Ever since I updated to Windows 10 a few days ago, skype keeps logging me out after 10 min or so.  I read other posts all which suggested unlinking your account from your microsoft and/or Facebook account, which I tried but it didnt help.  I am not linked to either of them.  I am using the desktop version of Skype, not the windows app.  I never had any problems before this windos 10 upgrade.  Any ideas?

    I installed 10.9.2 today and am unable to start Google Chrome, Google Chrome Canary, or Skype. All 3 of them seem to be failling on the same piece of code ("FillInSystemVersionInfoFromString"). Has anyone else seen this issue? Could it be related to some other conflicting software? I don't see the issue with any other installed applications, and the same thing happens when I try starting the apps from a brand new user account. I also already tried to re-seat the 4 RAM sticks, no dice.

    you'll need both serial numbers to install the lr 5 upgrade.
    if you purchased and downloaded lr 4 from adobe or registered with adobe, you may be able to find your lr 4 serial number under the account used to make that purchase/registration (not necessarily your current adobe id), Adobe ID
