Skype stops working, here's the event viewer
yet another skype issue.
please tell me what this means, what can I do? it totaly freezes my screan reader and makes me scared to restart the computer in case skype stops working. i really need it to work.

In order to fix this, I need to run:
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade b2b -force -inplace -cmd application content -install -cmd install features
But SP doesn’t recognize “b2b”. is the the content or config db?

It has for sure to do with the screen resolution...after I unplugged it and rebooted everything worked fine. Now I connected the screen again and have set the resolution down to 1600x1024 and that also worked... after that I setted the resolution back to 1650x1050 and it still runs, also after a few reboots...
As soon as it will give some errors I will update to the latest skype and will do the same 'tricks' ... because I had skype 7.xxx installed before , without succes... lets see how long my skype runs properly -

this doesn't help because this folder doesn't even exist in my nvidia folder.Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here. -
Skype stopped working on ipod touch w 4.3.5?
My skype stopped working on my ipod touch (3rd gen), maybe when I upgraded the ipod touch software to iOS 4.3.5. I have looked everywhere online for an answer (well, looked in the places I could think of). If, for example, I delete my Skype app and re-install it (from my ipod touch device), it doesn't fix the problem.
If I delete my Skype app from iTunes on my laptop and re-install it on my laptop, and then sync it to my ipod touch, this doesn't seem to fix it.
Finally (and I don't know how I did this, as can't seem to find other references to this, I went to safari and googled my problem, from my device. I received a 'skype blue' page stationg 'skype isn't available for your phone' (heading), then 'Due to a mobile upgrade? why not find an iphone, Android or
Symbian phone that works with skype? etc etc. Obviously this is not the right spot (apart from the bleeding obvious, ie that skype doesn't work any more). I am not using it from a smart phone.
when I install or re-install skype on my ipod touch, and click on the skype logo, the skype welcome page has 'skype name' and 'skype password' but I can't enter any data, nor can I hit the 'sign in'. The only thing that works is 'create account' (which I don't want to do, obviously, as already have a skype account).

Perhaps the answer lies in returning to an older software version (iOS I mean)? But can only see how to 'restore factory settings' so presumably that would be to a much older software version (or not fix the problem). As you can tell, I may be talking rubbish, sorry.
ps - I have 'flashed my firmware' once some time ago on a laptop I had (PC), but I would be hesitant to try something dramatic, given my lack of knowledge!
FINALLY (promise) in the drop-down box below, after choosing my Product, when choosing Operating System, the highest choice is '4.3.3'. I have 4.3.5 I think. Maybe THIS IS MY PROBLEM??OH MY GOODNESS, apart from now realising that I wrote way too much (sorry), I have just fixed it (after 1 week of trying, within minutes of posting my first query above). How do you change the Event Viewer archive location in Server 2008 R2?
We're wanting to redirect the security and system event viewer logs to the D:\ on a Server 2008 R2 box
We've got the current logs to save there, however all archived system/security logs are still being saved on the c:\ in their default location in %windir%\system32... and killing the OS partition.
I can write something up in PoSh and schedule it, but I'd rather use any built-in capabilities first...
I've taken a peek in the HKLM\Services\CurrentControlSet... hive where the event viewer behavior is configured and do not see an option to set a path for the archive location...Unfortunately, you cannot customize the location of archived event logs in Windows. The logs will always be archived to %windir%\system32\Winevt\Logs\Archive-xxxxxx

How do you split clips in the event viewer in iMovie '11?
I'm using iMovie '11 and have imported a very long movie (over an hour from VCR Tape) that I want to split into multiple events, however the "Split Clip" option is grayed out. How can I split a large event into smaller events?
I have discovered a round-about way to split large events from comments in this forum, so apologies, and or thanks to other posters.
You can split events by deleting (and discarding) a single frame at the point where you want to split the two clips. It's processor intensive (takes a while to do), but it works.
1.) In the Event Viewer, click to select where you want to split the event.
2.) Drag the yellow handles to make the selection as small as possible (1 frame?). If you drag the thumbnail display slider to the left to show only 1/2 second intervals, it helps when selecting a single frame.
3.) Right click and select "Reject Selection". The clip is now split.
4.) When you've completed all of your clip splitting, select "Show: Rejected Only" at the bottom of the Event Viewer to show all of the rejected frames.
5.) Click on "Move Rejected to Trash". This operation could take a while.
That should be it.

Have found the following repeating error and warning in the Event Viewer Windows 8.1 64 bit reg.the application Nividia Stream:
1. The error :
"Can not find the description of event 2001 identification from
the source NvStreamSvc.
Either the component causing this issue is not

The software - now have Nividia GeForce Experience updated to the version 2.4.1.21 on 30th
March.

Do a backup.
Take notes of all account information or take screen shots. You may need to set the accounts up again. Quit Mail.
Copy the line below.
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Select Go/Go To Folder from the Finder menu bar. Paste the line into the window. You won’t see it.
Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after every update. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible. -
Hi, I've tried charging continuously for 72 hours. But to no avail. It just stopped working out of the blue. Actually I believe I let the battery die off completely. When I tried charging it again, it never worked.
