Skype stops working

My skype stops working.
C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\CoProcManager folder and rename the nvdxgiwrap.dll to Old_nvdxgiwrap.dll.
this doesn't help because this folder doesn't even exist in my nvidia folder.

Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

    My skype stopped working on my ipod touch (3rd gen), maybe when I upgraded the ipod touch software to iOS 4.3.5. I have looked everywhere online for an answer (well, looked in the places I could think of). If, for example, I delete my Skype app and re-install it (from my ipod touch device), it doesn't fix the problem.
    If I delete my Skype app from iTunes on my laptop and re-install it on my laptop, and then sync it to my ipod touch, this doesn't seem to fix it.
    Finally (and I don't know how I did this, as can't seem to find other references to this, I went to safari and googled my problem, from my device. I received a 'skype blue' page stationg 'skype isn't available for your phone' (heading), then 'Due to a mobile upgrade? why not find an iphone, Android or
    Symbian phone that works with skype? etc etc. Obviously this is not the right spot (apart from the bleeding obvious, ie that skype doesn't work any more). I am not using it from a smart phone.
    when I install or re-install skype on my ipod touch, and click on the skype logo, the skype welcome page has 'skype name' and 'skype password' but I can't enter any data, nor can I hit the 'sign in'. The only thing that works is 'create account' (which I don't want to do, obviously, as already have a skype account).

    Perhaps the answer lies in returning to an older software version (iOS I mean)? But can only see how to 'restore factory settings' so presumably that would be to a much older software version (or not fix the problem). As you can tell, I may be talking rubbish, sorry.
    ps - I have 'flashed my firmware' once some time ago on a laptop I had (PC), but I would be hesitant to try something dramatic, given my lack of knowledge!
    FINALLY (promise) in the drop-down box below, after choosing my Product, when choosing Operating System, the highest choice is '4.3.3'. I have 4.3.5 I think. Maybe THIS IS MY PROBLEM??

    OH MY GOODNESS, apart from now realising that I wrote way too much (sorry), I have just fixed it (after 1 week of trying, within minutes of posting my first query above).     Hi this is Interesting and thank you for your support till now.
    It has for sure to do with the screen resolution...after I unplugged it and rebooted everything worked fine. Now I connected the screen again and have set the resolution down to 1600x1024 and that also worked... after that I setted the resolution back to 1650x1050 and it still runs, also after a few reboots...
    As soon as it will give some errors I will update to the latest skype and will do the same 'tricks' ... because I had skype 7.xxx installed before , without succes... lets see how long my skype runs properly

    There are crash reports referring to Catalyst Control Center (CCC.exe).
    Try to adjust settings in Catalyst Control Center:
    - set all options in "Game" menu of Catalyst Control Center to "Application Controlled"
    - change the smooth-vision anti-aliasing to use application settings.

    Do a backup.
    Take notes of all account information or take screen shots. You may need to set the accounts up again. Quit Mail.
    Copy the line below.
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
    Select Go/Go To Folder from the Finder menu bar. Paste the line into the window. You won’t see it.
    Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
    Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

    If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
    Show User Library Directory in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion & 10.8 Mountain Lion
    You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after every update. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

    I have been using skype for years now today i cannot get it to work, first message i was using an old version so must update, the only update available is skype for desktop, in the past i use the version from windows store (i have windows so i ''updates'' to the desktop version and ''SKYPE STOPPED WORKING'' close program.     I tried loading Skype up at about 11am this morning on the 6.21 version and it was crashing every time. I uninstalled and updated skype to the latest version (6.22.81.104) but the problem persisted. I tried several known fixes including deleting IE Explorer Temp files and updating Adobe Flash on IE Explorer but nothing has worked so far.

  • Skype Says Skype stopped working when I log in.

    Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.
