Skype taking subscription amount before the new subscription is due to start

My new subscription was due to start on August 1st but for some strange reason Skype attempted to take the money for it today.  Not happy about this and also not happy as there is no email support. I don't have time to check community messages. 

All subscriptions autobill 3 days in advance to ensure payment goes through.  This helps resolve bank/transaction delays and helps you resolve billing issues before the subscription is over so that there is no interruption of service. The three day early auto billing is clearly stated in Skype Terms of Use as well as the "How Subscriptions work" FAQ: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10414

    there is no clean solution for your problem. Browsers cache files by url, you can avoid caching appending in query string unique value per deployment. For example
    _layouts/my_js_file.js?v=<current date> - will be refreshed from cache when day changes
    _layouts/my_js_file.js?v=<GUID> - if guid is generated on every request, this file should never cache
    _layouts/my_js_file.js?v=<product version> - more preferable solution, browser will update cache on every new version that was deployed
    Actually, ScriptLink should take care about this, internally it has a method that appends unique id into query string based on js file content, if content changed, hash is also changed and new unique id is generated.

    Apple has not detailed Mountain Lion's requirements or how it will be made available, and probably won't until much closer to release. So we cannot answer your question at this time.     The obvious and simple solution is to restore from the back up you made before upgrading.
    Other than that you'll need to give us a lot more detail. Mavericks doesn't ask you to upgrade your Photos, upgrading to a later iPhoto asks you about upgrading the Library. Where is the library? What version were you upgrading from? Anything else you can tell us that might help understand the problem you're having.

    Generally once Apple gives the official release date, then Macs have become available for up to date pricing.  As long as just the season has been stated, there is no guarantee that Macs purchased during the season in question will get up to date pricing.  So watch http://www.apple.com/osx/uptodate/ or http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/ the day that the release date is announced.   Past performance is no guarantee of future returns.  Thankfully since 10.7's release Apple's full fledged releases have only been $20 USD, and updates are free to the full fledged release.  I.e. 10.7.1 to 10.7.5 are updates to 10.7.
    10.8.1 to 10.8.4 are updates to 10.8.  It was only with 10.6 and earlier the distribution for each full release was at least $99 and up to date were around $20 going back to 10.2.  10.6 is though available on the Apple Store for only $20.

    Go to Settings > Privacy > Contacts and change the setting for "Find Friends" to "ON". That should also allow Find Friends to now access your contacts and dispaly names and photos.

    Do you really mean an iMac2?  If you do you're about 10 years too late in wanting to return it.  I guess if you do have an iMac2 then it makes sense you posted on the iMac(PPC) forum since this one is for models at least 6 years old.

    Thank you for providing so much information about what is going on.  It sounds like you have setup iTunes to save new content to your new external hard drive in iTunes>Preferences, but it sounds like iTunes is not opening iTunes Library.itl file on the new external drive.  You have one last step to take to have iTunes point to your new external hard drive rather than your old one:
    Steps to create or choose a different iTunes Library file
    If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
    If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
    You should see the following screen:
    Additional information
    If you do not see the screen above, then you did not hold the correct key at the correct time. You may want to try again. Note that if you pinned iTunes to the Start menu programs, and open it that way, it may not work.
    Once you select "Choose Library," you will need to navigate to the iTunes Library.itl file on your new external drive.

    - If you restored the 5G frmm the iTunes backup of the 3G were th app in the iTunes library of the computer you used? They have to be.
    - If yes then try again. When I first restored my iPad 4 from the iTunes backup of my iPad 1 app data did not transfer. I tried again and it did.

    Figured I'd add to this very old post as opposed to starting a new one. I've followed the steps outlined by Hillary, and the new table simply never shows up at the Subscriber.
    I've also attempted everything through the GUI, but get the message "[0%] A snapshot was not generated because no subscriptions needed initialization." when trying to launch the Snapshot Agent.
    Note this is on 2012, and the initialization was done via backup/ restore (not snapshot).
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    No to both of your questions:
    No, you cannot clone the PPC hard disk to a new Intel disk. The systems are completely different.
    No, you don't have to reinstall all your software manually.
    You have to install Tiger from the install DVD that shipped with that MacBook Pro. You CANNOT use any other install disk, so take care you don't damage it! Once this is done you can transfer all your data, applications and settings from the old computer using the migration assistant in /Applications/Utilities.
    Be aware that there might be problems with applications that are not universal binaries and require Rosetta emulation: Intel-based Mac: Some migrated applications may need to be updated.

  • What is taking so long with the new Cabinet

    I have been waiting for Infinity now for what seems ages.
    The new Infinity cabinet was installed back in early November, the estimated date for cabinet activiation was Sept 2011, then Dec 2011 and now March 2012.
    What can be taking so long with getting this cabinet up and running, at the end of this month is it close on 4 months. I havent seen any activity around the cabinet for some time, other cabinets in the area were installed and were available to accept orders within a month.
    I have tried calling and I just get given the date as possibly March, is there any way to get a more accurate date, is there a problem with the cabinet, a problem with power?
    For some reason the cabinet has been installed on the opposite side of the road to the existing BT cabinet which I thought was a little strange, as surly that makes it a little more hard work to get online and reroute cables etc.
    I live in Skelmersdale and I believe the Cabinet is 46.
    If anyone is able to provide any more information on this I would appreciated it.

    There's lots of possibilities.
    There could be a delay in supplier equipment (MSAN to go in the cab)
    Ducting could be collapsed so they can't get the fiber to the cab until that's replaced.
    The power company could be causing delays to power the cabinet up.
    Road works may be needed to connect the FTTC cabinet to the existing cabinet.
    There's a couple more reasons it could be delayed too.
