Skype to Go fails to dial out to my configured num...

I am using skype to go to call my speed dials which I have configured.
I call in on my mobile, choose the number that I want to dial and the automated attendent replies with it fails with "skype has encountered a technical problem please try again later".
This always happens when I NEED to use the service!
What do I need to do to fix this, or what do I need to do the next time it fails on me (again)?

Hello,
Please let me have the #s you are calling from and to and to what contact #.
Thank you.

I have the one year subscription activitated which includes LAN lines and mobile dialing. I can receive calls to the phone just fine. I cannot make any outbound calls. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Update: I can dial out from my PC using my subscription so the subscription isn't the problem.

• Unable to dial out in China

my att Curve 8300 is unlocked but I'm unable to dial out, however, I can receive calls. I'm in China. I put the Sim card in
another unlocked phone and it works. When I check my BlackBerry the display reads:
Sim Card: Security Disabled (this top part is in the locked description but the following is in the unlocked instruction) Why?
ID#
Personalization all read Disabled.
I have entered my code to unlock the phone twice, and I'm told if I do it and it fails the third time it will self destruct...or it will
permanently be locked. Any clarity will be appreciated. Thanks.

• VOIP Dial out issues with SRP547W

Hi All, this is my first post so I appologise if I have posted it in the wrong place up front.
I have recently purchased an SRP 547w replacing an 877w and linksys pap2t voip box.
I have 1 major issue at present - no matter which number I dial, I cannot ring out. I get what appears to be an engaged tone.
History: I used to run the linksys papt2 behind the 877w and it worked without issue. Ports opened and forwarded were:
udp 5060-5061
udp 8000-8001
my SIP port is 5060
the RTP ports are 8000-8001
I know this works on the SRP547 as without them, I cannot make any calls into the system.
These settings worked perfectly on the PAP2T; I have copied them across to the SRP547W and opened the same ports. I can call VOIP device on the specified number, but still no dialing out.
The 2 main differences I can see on the new device 1) The VOIP is integrated into the router so I'm not routing traffic in exaxtly the same way as I was with the PAPt2 and the second being that the SRP547W also has the ability to connect a PSTN line - which I do not have.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the issue?
For the record, I have diabled the firewall - same result; additionally, if I connect the PAP2T to the SRP547 and forward the ports (or enable UPNP) then I can actually dial out which means I think its safew to say that my issue is within the SRP547W.
I can conrim that the SRP547 does 'hear' the tones from the phone. When I dial certain numbers (to force certein codecs) the system responds to them.
If anyone else has had a similar issue, could you help me out with some direction?
I'd post logs, but I'm not sure how to get them off this device (yet) - I've only had this device for 4 days.....

I forgot to post an update.
Get this, I figured out the problem and it was Sun Rocket.
They did a firmware update over night that caused it to break.
After about three months of working with Linksys, Comcast and Microsoft and tyring everything I was told. It still failed.
Then after another month, I finally was contacted by an engineer from Sun Rocket who was giving me advice over everything we already tried.
I asked him if there was a firmware update from the date I put the complaint ticket in. He checked the database and sure enought, that is what it was.
Their firmware update did not work well with the Linksys router. He rolled back the firmware and now it works perfect.
The SunRocket tech said he put me on a list of Sun Rocket Gizmos NOT TO update firmware.
Well , about 2 months later, they updated it by mistake and now I am going through the pains with SunRocket all over again.
I told them how they fixed it but the Level 1, 2 and 3 techs don't seem to know how to roll back the firmware and they did not have any notes from the engineer on what version to roll it back to.
The the root cause was SunRocket's Gizmo.
Trust me, I've tried chaning the MTU to remoting in to the Sunrocket Gizmo and change the bandwith settings ect ect. I've been through the ringer and I still have problems with them.
The SunRocket Gizmo can not handle the high bandwidth like the linksys router can.
Good Luck, I only have SunRocket for another month and I am thnking about going with Vonage or Comcast.
Here is a picture of the SunRocket Gizmo I am using.

Try to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
If you are on the latest Skype 6.5/6.6 version, then do also this:
Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

• GE 31591 Will not dial out (UK)

I have a new GE 31591 with credit, I receive in coming calls but I am unable to dial out.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Is your phone connected to the landline? It sounds like it is trying to dial out on the landline, that is not connected.
Make sure that the phone is logged into Skype (showing your Skype name, credit balance etc.). Dial the number in full international form to make sure that works eg 00441234567890. Press the blue Skype button rather than the green button and you should get the option to make a regular (landline) call or a Skype call. Select Skype call.
If all this works then you can configure the green button to work like the Skype button, also setting country and area codes can make the dialing simpler.
/Simon

• GE 31591 does not dial out

Hi - This is my second Skype phone. I first go the RTX 3088 and had to reboot the base every couple of days. I then bit the bullet and purchased the GE 31591 and set up was a breeze, the only problem I encountered was that I did learn to dial out I needed to dial 1-areacode - xxx-xxxx but I could live with dialing the extra 1. All was good for about 2 weeks and then out of the blue I tried calling my own cell number to look for my phone and noticed that it would not dial out. I can hear the phone dialing out and then it goes silent and my cell phone does not ring.(nor any othe phones that I dial) The GE 31591 recieves calls fine. I purchase a skype number so that I could get rid of my landline. I can dial out from my PC when I login to this same Skype account. I tried rebooting the base station but nothing works. This has been like this for a couple of weeks. I have invested alot of money and time into Skype and really do not want to go back to a landline.

Hi - I fixed this - It appears that a firmware update changed my Preferred line setting.

• Unity Connection 8.6 not able to forward from extension (dial out)

Dear all,
I'm having a problem at a customer where i'm not able to forward calls externally from the Unity (that's a wish too).
Basically here is the request for which I'm having an issue:
- I'm making a menu with a number XXX (CTI Port) with a System Call Handler
- Under that menu i've 3 choices which points to 3 internal numbers (YY1, YY2, YY3) (CTI Ports).
- All the CTI Ports are forwarded to international numbers which are the final destination
So the flow is the following:
NOT Working
- XXX --> Choice 1 --> YY1 --> Forwaded all to 000countrycode
Working
- XXX --> Choice 1 --> YY1 --> Forwarded all to 444 (internal number)
The strange thing is that I tested everything when I was on site by calling internally XXX from an internal number and it was able to forward all my call to the international number ...
If anyone have a clue about what I can do, I'll appreciate a lot ...
Thanks in advance
C.

Hi Taranjit,
The rules are not made to enable unity to dial out, my goal was to permit only internal calls, but in this specific case, the internal number, is a CTI Port forwarded all to the external international number...
I tried the Unity connection system handler from a internal phone and it was working perfectly, but not if the call is coming from outside apparently.
Kind regards
Christophe

• Database Error: DBD::Oracle::db do failed: ORA-04030: out of process memory

Hi
I have a stored procedure that uses the XMLQuery function (SELECT XMLQuery( '......' RETURNING CONTENT) FROM dual; ) to extract data from 3 different tables and store the xml file in XML DB. This store procedure was running fine for a long time until 2 weeks ago where I started seeing the following error:
Database Error: DBD::Oracle::db do failed: ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 92 bytes (koh dur heap d,qmxtkWriteXobToOpn:heap)
Currently I have 16,000 records. I am not sure what is going on, the size of the previous successful output xml file is about 2M. I also noticed when the stored procedure runs with 3G of system memory available, it basically used up all the memory and cpu time. The store proc consistently dies after 3.5 hour and spits out the ORA-04030 out of process memory error.
Does anyone have any suggestion what to look for or what parameters I need to set? Thanks

Unless your database is strictly a DSS-type of database, your AWR report exposes loads of issues with it. And I think none of the time during the AWR window was spent on database. Look at the DB time (with all those multi cores) compared with the elapsed time of the AWR.
As you are on 11g, why not make use of MEMORY_TARGET (a single parameter to manage both SGA and PGA)? If you are already on it, ignore this as I can't see it anywhere. If not, get rid of SGA_TARGET and PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET and replace it with a single MEMORY_TARGET parameter. However you may have a minimum threshold set for different SGA pools so that they won't shrink beyond that point.
Having said that, setting MEMORY_TARGET is not a guarantee to avoid ORA-4030. Just a single bad PL/SQL code could go and exploit the untunable part of your process memory and even go and blow up the physical memory. If you are using FORALL and BULK load, see if you can cut it down into few chunks rather than running as a single process.
What does your V$PGASTAT say?

Hi Giss68,
Could you check the Advanced tab of the Flat File Connection Manager to see whether the InputColumnWidth and the OutputColumnWidth properties of the Column2 has the same value? Please refer to the following link about the same topic:

hi Ernesto,
As the problem you are facing is a dial out issue on MPE, go
through the checklist mentioned below in order to confirm the configuration
is intact.
Here is the checklist :
1. Ensure that H323 GW is defined on CCM/CUCM.
Device > Gateway > find.
Look for a device name that equals either MPE's hostname, FQDN, or IP
Address.
2. Ensure that h323 Gateways are configured on MPE.
MPE Administration Center > System Configuration > Call Configuration > H323
Configuration
Ensure that h323 is enabled.
Ensure that you have entered your CCM's IPs in h323 Gateway 1, 2
3. Ensure that CCM's interface with MPE is up.
Ensure that MPE's IP Address is listed under the "IP Address" column.
Ensure that this IP Address is that of the FIRST NIC on MPE, not the second.
4. Verify that MPE has the CSS required to call the destination.
FIRST, FIND MPE's CSS:
When MPE places a call, the CSS in question is Device > Gateway > MPE-GW >
Inbound
THEN the relevant config is under Device > "Call Routing Information -
Inbound Calls" > Calling Search Space
SECOND, FIND DESTINATION PATTERN's PARTITION:
If the destination is an IP Phone within the CCM/CUCM Cluster, then the
relevant config is under Device > Phone > click on Directory Number in CCM.
If the destination is a PSTN endpoint/phone, then the relevant config is
under Device > Route Pattern.
5. Ensure that your user profile is set to allow outdials.
MPE Administration Center > User Configuration > User Profile Management >
Your User Profile > Can call out of meetings should be set to "Yes".
6. When you place a call from from the CLI, the system applies permissions
from the "Guest" User profile since mpxadmin or root are not Users within
the MPX application. To allow this to work, you need to verify two
settings:
MPE Administration Center > User Configuration > User Profile Management >
Guest > Can call out of meetings should be set to "Yes".
Ensure that the Guest profile is not in a "locked" state.
MPE Administration Center > System Configuration > Usage Configuration >
Allow Guest outdials should be set to "Yes".
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Karthik

I found http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/events.htm#BABGGADB
Setting Timeouts for Synchronous Processes
For synchronous processes that connect to a remote database, you must increase the syncMaxWaitTime timeout property in the SOA_Oracle_Home\bpel\domains\default\config\domain.xml file:
<property id="syncMaxWaitTime">

<value>60000000</value>
<comment>
The maximum time the process result receiver will wait for a
result before returning. Results from asynchronous BPEL processes are
retrieved synchronously via a receiver that will wait for a result from the
container.

The default value is 60 seconds.
</comment>
</property>
But this changes nothing...
Is this value ignored?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

You stated that you can ping ACS from the router, did you try sourcing the packets from the GigabitEthernet 0/0 interface (which is the one TACACS+ will try to use, given the configuration that you posted)?
What does the network path between the router and ACS look like (ie, any firewalls, NAT, etc)?
Can you connect to port 49 at the ACS IP address from the router sourcing the packets from GigabitEthernet 0/0 ?
Are you using VRFs?
What version of IOS?

Hi Frank,
This is the service impl class TerritoryProposalPublicServiceImpl for our product's application module "TerritoryProposalPublicServiceAM".
I added a new service method in this AM. I am using ServiceFactory class to call this method "findProposals()", first time when i run the code it invokes the service correctly, second time it fails throwing this errors.
I found the place where it is getting exception, these are all frame works classes
ServiceImpl.invokeCustom() -> calls acquireResources() method -> Calls ServiceConfiguration.getRootApplicationModule(this.getApplicationModuleDefName(), this.getConfigurationName()); -> Calls getApplicationModule()
Exception is thrown from the line in bold
Properties props = SDOValueStoreHelper.INSTANCE.getAppModuleSessionProperties();
props.put(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_APPMODULE_NAME, pool.getName());
props.put(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_TRANSACTION_ID, id);
SessionCookie sess = pool.findOrCreateSessionCookie(id, id, props);
sess.setEnvInfoProvider(envInfo);
SDOValueStoreHelper.INSTANCE.setSessionEnv(sess);
sess.setEnvironment(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_APPMODULE_NAME, pool.getName());
sess.setEnvironment(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_TRANSACTION_ID, id);
appModule = sess.useApplicationModule();
//bug9215734,
appModule.getTransaction().setBundledExceptionMode(true);
Please see if you can figure out why sess.useApplicationModule() not able to find application module.

All -
I'm new to consuming web services in JDeveloper. I'm using Oracle JDEV 10.1.3.3/OC4J. I'm using this version since it is compatible with Oracle EBS 12.1.3. My intent is to pull data from our third party recruitment app (Success Factors) and load that data into Oracle HRIS. I'm already doing this through a .NET application. I'm converting it to be a Java Concurrent Program in EBS. The code listed below is a stub call to verify I'm on the right track. I created a JDeveloper Web Services proxy project. I'm testing it locally on my windows desktop. When I'm able to consume the service successfully, then I'll think about moving it to the EBS server.
I'm getting the following error when I invoke the following service:
HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: String index out of range: -7
End point is: https://api4.successfactors.com/sfapi/v1/soap?wsdl
Any help/assistance would be much appreciated.

The other end is throwing back a programming error.
That might be because you are sending incorrect data and the other end fails to validate it.
You might be able to guess based on your C# code. But, since you are using soap one generic solution is available to you.
- Get an http proxy interceptor like wireshark.
- Run it while your C# app runs, collect the http requests from that.
- Run it while running your java code, collect the http requests from that.
Compare the two.
