Skype Rate Page is not working
When ever I use http://www.skype.com/en/rates/ and I enter a country in the "Search for the country/region you want to call" input field and push the button, then nothing happens. I tried this with different browsers IE, Chrome, Firefox and logged in or not. Always the same effect. Friends have the same problem.
In the Console a error is shown:
who can tell me hao to get the rate information for India and if a subcription is available. If I enter http://www.skype.com/en/rates/?country=IN then I see only:
and the message "You will not be able to call landlines or mobiles in India from Skype when you're inside India". But no rates at all. I located in germany and I did two calls to india (landline and mobile) both working and be charged with 0.011 €/min. But I see not rate info on the webpage
(independend of the browser). Even a refresh (F5) does not change anything.
When I use http://www.skype.com/en/rates/?country=DE then i even see no rates and no warning (like for india).
I have the effect on multible devices (windows PC, iPad, ...), so I belive it is not on my side and mor a web server topic. -

I am little bit confuse about the International calling rates of the skype. plz tell me is 0.7 cent means less than 1 cent or it's 7 cent . and 0.7 cent is also applicable on indian calling . and in the skype has any kind of indian unlimited calling scheme.
Hi and welcome to the Skype Community,
The Skype rates are only depending on the calling destination (in your case Suriname) regardless from where you are calling from. So simply look up Suriname on the Skype rates page and you have the information you are looking for www.skype.com/go/rates

With Skype there is no such thing as an international call. All calls are local worldwide. Your location is irrelevant.

Excellent question, and one which only Skype Customer Service can answer as we here in the Community do not have the tools to test and resolve such issues. Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
Skype is aware of existing problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and - very important! - choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent. Please see also this:

Price for skype number and yearly subscription
Hi,
I would like to get a skype number and get a yearly subscription for unlimited calling to america. I understand that there is a discount for doing them together though I cant seem to find what it is and how much it will cost me monthly for such a plan.
Also am I correct that I can use the above plan with my smart phone?
Thanks for your help.Hi and welcome to Skype Community.
You can get a discount when you purchase a Skype Number depending on which subscription duration you prefer. However, this may only happen if you have an active calling subscription during your purchase.
What you can do is to buy the calling subscription first to the country of your choice. Specific details including the price can be viewed here:
http://www.skype.com/en/rates/
Just type the country you prefer on the search box and press Enter.
After a successful purchase, you may then buy a Skype Number next. You may get a 33% discount for a 3 month subscription and up to 50% discount for a 12 month subscription.
You may learn more about Skype Number from here:
http://www.skype.com/en/offers/skype-number/
And yes, you can use Skype on your smartphone as long as the device you have is Skype-supported. Check out which mobile phones are currently supported by Skype from here:

Hope this helps.

Also, what are the nationality of your various Skype Customer Service people who have participated in this now enormous e-mail and where is the call-centre that they exist? - I ask this as I can only assume their failure to understand English is because it is not their first language.

Hello Paying Customer,
Thank you for getting back to us.
We understand your request for the detailed breakdown of your Skype Credit and usage on your Skype account. We know how important it is to have the issue fixed and we will do our best to look into this for you.
To assist you further on your request, can you please specify from what date would you like us to send your call history alongside the call costs?
Additionally, please note that we are unable to send you the breakdown of your Purchase History as it is readily available on your Skype account. Please go to this link to see your Purchase History:
https://secure.skype.com/account/purchase/history/orders (https://secure.skype.com/account/purchase/history/orders)
As an added note, auto-recharge automatically tops up your Skype Credit when your balance falls below a certain figure (typically $3 /€2 / £2). This ensures you never run out of credit and prevents calls ending mid-conversation. In your case, you are automatically top up when your Skype credit falls to £2.
With Auto-recharge, your credit card or PayPal account is debited in the same way as if you were making a manual purchase, although once enabled there is no need to approve each recharge.
Auto-recharge is turned on by default when you first add credit to your Skype account. The amount you first credit to your account will be the amount that gets topped up automatically.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Should any further issues arise, please feel free to contact us again.
We’d also like to advise you to update your Skype profile with the latest details. This will help us to provide you with the best possible solution more quickly and protect your account from abuse.

I presume that your stating "We understand your concerns regarding your charges and recharge information you want from your account.

I am no futher in resolving the veracity of my last auto recharge so if you cannot

Dear Lou Belle L.
Thank you for your speedy reply; I did gather that £2 was the autorecharge reset.
Can you tell me how/IF to corelate the running usage tally with your real time credit
status ? ( think bank statement where you actually have a start credit amount to deduct cash usage and rationalise your account final total ) Your system has no initial credit term of reference hence no way to determine your credit status except the amount shown in your Skype gui after you log in, so it is impossible to verify your charges.
This I phrased as "Your system seems not to operate with credit and debit on a referenceable manner ( how much and to whom calls made between auto recharge
which makes checking accountability impossible to ascertain." in my first query.
To call a spade a spade, after I had finished using the paid call part of your facility, I was sure that I had over £2 credit, when I looked at the still open Skype gui several hours
later I had received a recharge of £10 and have no way of verifying the veracity of that recharge justification.
Yours accountably

Hello Paying Customer,
Thank you for contacting Skype Customer Service.
We understand your concerns regarding your auto-recharge and call history. We
will be glad to look into this for you.
Auto-recharge automatically tops up your Skype Credit
when your balance falls below a certain level (typically $2/€2/£2),
ensuring you never run out of Skype Credit in the middle of a call.
Auto-recharge works with credit cards, PayPal and Skrill (Moneybookers). You’re debited in the same way as if you were buying Skype Credit normally, but with Auto-recharge, you don’t need to approve or confirm every time your Skype Credit balance is topped
up.
Auto-recharge is turned on by default when you first add Skype Credit to your Skype account using a credit card, PayPal or Skrill.
The amount you first credit to your Skype account will be the amount that gets topped up automatically whenever your balance falls below the minimum level set.
To set up Auto-recharge:
Sign in to your Skype account:
https://login.skype.com/account/login-formhttps://login.skype.com/account/login-form
Click Buy Skype Credit or Buy More Credit, depending on whether you have previously ought Skype Credit. Select the payment method you want to use (credit card, PayPal or Skrill) and click Next.
Check the amount. The Auto-recharge option is already enabled. Click Next.
Enter your payment details and click Buy Now.
Learn more about how to manage your Auto-recharge settings at:
https://support.skype.com/faq/FA1042https://support.skype.com/faq/FA1042
To view your call history, simply sign in to your Skype account:
https://secure.skype.com/account/call-history
You can only view your call history for the last six months in your account.
However, if you need details of any call history older than six months, we can provide it to you on request.
Important: We do not store any information about any Skype-to- Skype voice or video
calls, only calls to mobiles or landlines using your Skype Credit or subscription.
Should any further issues arise, please feel free to contact us again.

First time using Skype to call
Hello!
I live in Fla and I am goint to Brazil. Because this is the first time, I want be sure I will do the right thing: I have skype on my cell phone, i can buy credits to talk with my family and friends in Brazil and USA. I need to be in a place with WiFI and I just dial the number? How I shoud do? Sorry, I am a old lady and not smart at all with new " toys ". No roaming? Thanks!
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi DaniaFlo2013!
Yes, you will need to be in a place where there is WiFi so that you can connect to Skype and then you just need to dial the number you want to call on the Skype dial pad. Make sure that you disable data connection from your provider to avoid roaming charges.
Please also take note that you will need Skype Credit or a subscription so that you can call normal phone numbers on Skype. You can view our subscriptions by visiting the link below and type the country you want to call on the "Find country" search box:
