my skype name is davidmanyagi1 I bought same subsription to kenya when I make the call to mobiel in kenya we can not hear each other but there is anoying echo,I tested my mic and speakers and there oky.how can this problem be solved?.please advice. Thanks

Thank you for coming back to me re-camera problem.I found out that the problem was my internet,you have to upgrade the software on the tv,I could not download it from home so I took it to the shop,they had a better internet reception.When I got home I had perfect reception.The camera is perfect,the problem I find now is the incoming picture is not as good as mine because they not are not using the same equipment.

You can use your laptop or tablet if you are taking them with you.
You can also use a friend's device (mobile or desktop), go to an internet café, or use an airport or even hotel computer.
Basically, any device will do!
The device needs to be connected to the Internet - most hotels, cafes and airports provide free wi-fi nowadays, I always use those.
Download and install Skype on the device or launch it if it is already installed.
Login with your existing Skype login and password. (Don't forget to log out when you're done with your calls!)
You will see all your Skype contacts and past conversations, and you can call them for free, just as you would do it from home.
If you want to call a mobile or a landline back home or in the country you are travelling to, you can also do that with Skype Credit or a Skype subscription. Calls to landlines and mobiles are not free as we need to connect you to a network operator. However, they are usually much cheaper than what you would pay using your mobile! Can't send video messages from the Skype by mobile

i have nokia x2 mobile pone. i had installed skype in it. i can take vedio calls from skype using the camera. but i can't recode vedios to send vedio messages. when i start to recode vedio to send. application stops. sometimes entire skype application is stop. please help me to fix this problem.

Ok. Trying to send a video message fro the desktop. Some contacts when chosen do not have this as an option, the ones that do, when I click on it, I get an error message that says:
"OOPS! Somrthing went wrong. Please tray again or get in touch." Trying again gets the same result, and I can find nowhere to "Get in touch" with skype.

Skype on mobile broadband

Hi all - I recently started using mobile broadband with Optus. I'm running OSX 10.5.8 on a laptop.
I just tried to video chat and it didn't seem to be connecting.
It then showed a message which said - no proxy found.
Also, when I select the accounts tab and scroll down to Skype Access (Wifi) is says:
"Your current wifi network Optus ... does not support skype access. Please try another available public network. Tip: Skype access doesn't work with private or closed...". And it ends there.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Skype on Mobile

I have registered with Skype. I got a Skype number and got Skype Credit but I seem to be having trouble installing Skype on my Android Mobile.
So the question is...do I need to have Skype installed on my phone to receive calls, even though I put my mobile as a call forwarding number?

Skype & NFL Mobile Apps for Verizon

What's the deal with getting these apps approved? According to VZ, Palm is holding them up from being available. There has been a lot said and written about the relationship with VZ, but to have the apps available on android and blackberry phones, but not web OS is a huge mistake. Please tell me that this will change soon.

Unfortunately, we have no information on the status of app submissions or approvals.
As far as I knew, Skype was not even making a webOS app yet, as seen in a 2009 article from US News. I admit that's a bit dated here in the world of webOS, but a quick visit to the Skype download page lists mobile apps for several platforms, but no mention of even a 'coming soon' placeholder for webOS. I didn't stay there for long, but hopefully Skype has a feedback and suggestion page where you could request a webOS version of their mobile application.
As for the NFL app, again we don't have any information, but if you would like to see a particular app or feature like VZ NFL added, visit our feedback portal at www.palm.com/feedback .

My Skype, Her Mobile

Hi,
I have a subscription to unlimited calls from my Skype here in the UK to mobiles & landlines in Thailand.
My wife is on her way here soon & so with a stopover in China for 6hrs, so can I call her on her mobile as usual when in Beijing airport?
Would I have to change the country dial code, or would I have to change my current subscription detail just so as to call her in that time.

Hi Glyn,
If she is using her Thai SIM card (e.g. her "thai number") in her mobile for the whole travel you can simply call her all the time, even when she is in China and the call will be included in your subscription. *but* she will have to pay roaming fees when she is taking calls while she is not in the "home network" of her mobile network provider.

Skype Premium mobile call charges

I can't find anywhere in the details where skype says that if you subscribe to premium UK then mobile calls in the UK are also free and unlimited.
Has anyone experience of this or can answer?

If you don't have unlimited data, then you could incur overage charges for Data use. How much will depend on what data plan you have. Check your AT&T account at att.com for details or contact customer service.

Skype number forwarding to mobile costing to much each receiving call??

Hi, I brought a skype number, I only want to use it for receiving incoming calls.. I do not wish to call anyone on my skype number.. But I've been having to buy credit a few times now because each time someone calls my skype number & i have it so it forwards to my mobile phone it's costing me to much ? Is there a cheaper way I can have my Skype number & receive incoming calls forwarded to my mobile phone? When I answer not on Skype, iPhone mobile phone number I pick the call from?? I subscribed to something I thought was it but I was rong because I still have no credit to receive calls to my mobile phone?
Can someone help me please ?

A: Sure, you can answer calls from your iPhone for no additional charge by using Skype for iPhone! Sign in and your calls will ring there at the same time your computers signed onto Skype would!

A: Yes, but that requires Skype Credit or a calling subscription for calling out. Again, picking up from the iPhone app won't cost you more.

Skype mobile charges when overseas

i have skype on my mobile in Australia. when i go to the USA and use skype then will it work with my Australian SIM card and what charges will i incur? i.e. do i need to buy a SIM in the USA to avoid international charge rates?

Hi. Skype does not relate to your SIM card.
Skype uses your mobile phone's mobile data internet (not the SIM card).
If you use your Aussie SIM card in the U.S., you will probably be charged
"roaming" charges for using your SIM card overseas, if you make calls
from your mobile phone in the U.S. . . . . . and . . . . you will get high charges
for using mobile phone data in the U.S. with your Aussie SIM card.
You will need a SIM card in the U.S. to get mobile calls and mobile internet data
at local U.S. prices without the international "roaming" charges.
So, to use Skype with mobile internet data, you will not want to pay international
costs using your Aussie SIM card.
To use Skype on your mobile phone, I suggest to see how much a U.S. mobile
SIM costs and U.S. mobile data charges etc., then you can use Skype in the U.S.
to call home in Australia at local calling costs without the international
roaming charges.
Don't forget, if you use a U.S. SIM with mobile data in the U.S., you can have Skype
running on your mobile and this will allow people in Australia (or anywhere in the world) to call from their Skype to your Skype on your mobile phone . . . for free.

Does Skype drain mobile data? I'm using skype on my 4G LTE plan. I have only 500mb left but for some reason Skype doesn't affect my mobile data. Is it supposed to?

Unfortunately it seems some people forget their b's and B's.
Remember that there is 8 bits (b) in a Byte (B).
Some rough calculations (ignoring 1024vs1000 etc.)
100kbps (100 kilo bits per second) is the same as 100,000bps (100,000 bits per second)
100,000 bps / 8 = 12,500 Bps (Bytes per second) and is the same as 12.5 KBps (Kilo Bytes per second)
12.5 Kilo Bytes per second x 60 seconds = 750 KBps OR 0.75 MB per min
So for approximate usage at recommended rate of 100kbps for voice only Skype calls is:
0.75 MB per min
7.5 MB per 10 mins
22.5 MB per 30 mins
45 MB per hour
