Skype to skype problem

Hello skypers!
Im having a problem with my skype after getting forced into updating my windows from 8 to 8.1. It appears that my skype have some latency connecting to calls - not only incomming calls but also my own.
Scenerio: I am calling a friend who is picking up the call within 10 seconds, i wouldnt notice this before about a minut later when I connect to the call.
While trying to connect to my OWN call i get a message telling me that there is a connection error.
I've tried several sulotions regarding firewall, internet explore, updating, reinstalling etc.
Note that im on a 2013 laptop and while i skype i use a ethanet cable. At my home my other devices dont have this problem, even my other computer.
Im not sure if this is relevant but im using the desktop version which im only able to find in 32-bit eventhough i use 64-bit.

Let's see if the Skype Customer Service will respond to this inquiry in a manner which indicates that they have completely read and understood the situation which I am about to explain.
Over the past 8 years, I have been regularly using Skype to call family in Switzerland. That's Skype-to-Skype, not Skype-to-phone. I have either used a modern Macintosh (OS 10.6.8, using Skype 6.15) or most recently an iPhone5 (OS 8.1.3) and the downloaded Skype App. The person with whom I have been speaking in Switzerland has been using either a modern Windows PC or iPhone5.
Each time, I can't call them, and the person over there must first call me.
Each time, I can transmit a live picture to them, but I can not receive their picture.
Oh, yes, I just tried to message Skype Customer Service about this issue, and received the following message: “500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.”

After upgrading my iPad 1 to OS 5.1, I got trouble to use Skype. I can not hear the calling tone from other during the usage of Skype-to-Skype. But when I touch the answer key, I still can hear other's voice and other also can hear my voice. If I use earphone, the calling tone from other is audible. There is also no problem of test call. What's going on with my iPad 1? I do hope someone can help me to fix this problem.

I experienced similar behavior (neither Keychain Access nor Safari would start, Chrome cannot access https sites, etc.). It got fixed by following instructions in this article:

Basically remove the ~/Library/Application Support/Ubiquity and restart. OSX will create a new one with the right permisions.

Skype Connection chat problem

Hello i have the following issue with skype.When i call someone the first 10 seconds he can hear me very well but then my voice lags and shuts so i cant complete any phrase.My internet connection is fine for sure cause other communication programms like viber work fine.I have already tried the following:Reset skype,rename skype folder and unistall skype nd install it back again and even to a different directory,checke my microphone and everything.
Please help...!!!

I've been having this problem as well, I noticed that you're playing league as well, my problem happens almost exclusively when im playing league of legends or have the client open.

Skype international call problem

I have charged around 10$ for skype to go calls. everything was working perfectly fine for the past 2 days until today.
Problem:
Dialing the number and then it says "connecting, then dialing" however there is no sound at all starting from the connecting phase!, my friend picks up then it automatically declines/ cancels the call after 5 seconds of the call. i do a test call, works fine. skype to skype, works fine. where is the problem? why when it comes to international calls i dont hear anything?
i have been charged over 3$ for nothing and i need to know why this is happening

Am also having same proble, am unable to make an international calls to anyone in my home country. When i try to call, i can hear only the first ringing tone after that nothing and the receiver side there was no call reached.
Kindly check and let me know better solution and fix the issue soon.

Skype TMG 2010 problem

I have a problem configuring my TMG 2010 proxy allowing skype to go through while HTTPS inspection is on.
I execlude *.skype.com, *.skype.net from the inspection process, but still i couldn't connect, morover when I disable HTTPS inspection feature it's work just fine.

I'm using Mavericks and there are no issues with SKYPE.
I using SKYPE 6.9 and this version is working well without issue.
For some reason I didn't downloaded SKYPE 6.11 I don't know why anymore ... but I'm sure I hat my reasons not to do so.

Outgoing audio problems during skype to skype vide...

When I make Skype to Skype video calls, my callee tells me that my voice is unintelligible. One person described it sounded like I was on a helicopter, another callee said that I sounded like I was underwater. My voice was also repeating. When I turned off my camera, the problem ceased. I really want to be able to use my video camera while I am talking. Can anyone help?

Several weeks ago my PC stopped ringing when I receive calls eventhough the screen shows that someone is calling. Is it possible that a new version of Skype was installed automatically and caused this problem? What other solutions are there?

You will probably have to ask the other person you are trying to calll for setup, OS ans do info.
Make sure both of you are on the same version of Skype :

Charged for skype to skype call

I just received a skype-to-skype call on my computer from a mobile using the skype app. Why was I charged over $1 for this? I'm currently in Spain and the caller is in France, but it was a legit in-app call, so this is not a legal charge. Has anyone had similar problems?

For the meantime, it may also be advisable to run a full antivirus scan using a fully updated antivirus software, then change your account password as a safety net (just in case your account was hacked/compromised).

1. Yes. Subscriptions work from anywhere worldwide provided you have a high speed internet connection.

Skype to Skype calls won't connect, to phones will

I developed a problem with Skype sometime last week. I can connect Skype to phone lines using credits with no problem. I cannot, however, connect Skype to Skype calls. I can send a contact request, see when it is accepted, and exchange sms messages with the contact. However when I attempt to call the contact, or when they attempt to call me, the call hangs up on "connecting" and the other party never sees it coming in to be answered. Later, however, the missed call will appear in the call history.This does not happen with every attempted skype to skype call, but most of them. Skype and Windows 8 updates were run recently before the problem started happening. The other contacts have various versions of Windows including 10, 8 and lower (and unknown.) All Skype calls to landline or mobile numbers are completing as normal. Have tried disabling all firewalls, making sure skype is on the allowed list with firewalls, uninstalling and reinstalling, checking every possible setting we can think of. I'm stumped, my company's helpdesk is stumped, really need to find a fix for this.
