Skype took my credit instead of my minutes

i bought a skype number, a subscription of 60 minutes to UK landlines and mobiles and 5euro credit...and when i called on skrill support number in UK skype took from credits instead of minutes.....why? what did i do wrong? or...what do i have to do for skype to take from my minutes?

Hi and welcome to the Community,
Based on our records, you made calls to a UK shared-cost number.
Shared-cost numbers are not covered by any subscription in Skype and calls to these numbers will automatically be taken out of your Skype Credit balance.

Skype is using Credit instead of my subscription

HI,
I had both Skype credit and a subscription to Paraguay, and I was able to call my daughter's cell phone. But the first subscription ran out of minutes until Jan 2nd 2012, so I bought a new one, I picked the top choice of Call World and I thought that was the one I had originally bought. Even though the new subscription was in place, today when I talked to my daughter on her cell p hone, it used my Skype credit instead of my subscription. So I cancelled my 2nd subscription until I get this figured out. Also, I cancelled my first subscription because it said I couldn't call any cell phones until Jan 2nd. I thought the 2nd subscription would allow me to continue call her cell phone. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Yes you can, somebody send me an iTunes gift with their iTunes credit, but it seems I can't how's that possible.?

Tabular model process-took 4 HOURS instead of normal 10 minutes

There must be some sort of log I can view or review to get a better look inside the process?
When I refreshed my development project (which is using the same server for workspace) it takes less than 10 or 15 minutes.
Then I deployed it to my server and after 35 minutes I closed out of SSDT BI as it appeared to have frozen.
I then deployed again with no processing.
After that I processed manually through SSMS by using Process (but scripted out) for a process full.
After 12 or so minutes most everything appeared to have processed and the last feedback was on:
CREATE MEASURE 'PROFIT_WORKSHEET'[Less Cost Over Profit -Indirect Costs]=CALCULAT ..."
I could see that the SSAS server was still working via CPU activity, but no futher messages were reported to SSMS. Then after 3 hours and 45 minutes later it claimed to have completed and displayed:
"Execution Complete" (it had lots of white space above it, around 20 or so blank empty lines which was odd)
The tabular model seems to be functional, and it is less than 350 MB in size (almost the exact same size of my development workspace model) so I am at a loss as to why the delay like this?
Any suggestions, thoughts?
It returned 40 million rows, but I have other models that return more and process in 3 or 4 minutes so it is very odd (and it isn't 400 million, just 40 million)

According to your description, you create a SQL Server Tabular Model project which takes 10 minutes to process in SQL Server Data Tools, the problem is that it takes 4 hours to process this database in SQL Server Management Studio. So you need the detail
log that inside the process, right?
In your scenario, you can enable SQL Server profiler to monitor the queries fired by the process, once you find some queries took a very long time to run, consider creating the smaller cube partition or optimizing the query by adding index or partition to
improve process time.

Skype took money for subscription but never activa...

Hello to skype users
Have you ever faced such situation like mine.
I have subscription for 400 minutes a month, paid by Skype Credit. Skype takes money every month though dates when it is activated always shifting further and further. For example this month they took money 10 Euros on December 2nd but said it will be activated on December 5th.
OK then, I thought today is 5th and made a call, and was charged for this call. I went to my account to see subscription is not activated, it still shows 0 minutes from last month.
After a big search on skype site I sent a letter to support only to receive outrageous lie that I already have used all my 400 minutes in the month of December. When in fact skype even didn;t activate December subscription yet,
What should I do?

Skypes indeed takes payment for subscription renewals 3 days in advance, prior to the actual date when the subscription will renew. afaik, your minutes will reset at 1:00 GMT.

2 Skype Caller ID confirmations sms every 5 minute...

Hello guys,
Today I decided to put some credit on my Skype account, and I wanted to activate the called ID right away aswel. Everything went well at the beginning, Skype accepted the first code I received.
However, like it says in the title, I've been receiving 2 text messages every 5 minutes with 2 different activation codes from then on. The 2 codes are the same in every pair of messages I reveive though.
Besides being a hassle because my phone rings twice every 5 minutes, I'm also worried because I'm abroad now and my provider charges me for received texts aswel. Want to fix this as soon as possible!
Been googling for a while, but haven't seen anything similair.
Any ideas?

The fact that you are roaming, may cause this issue.
When a text is delivered over the telecommunications network, the message center has a retry scheme to cope with issues such as handsets that are turned off or are out of network coverage. The message centre will expect to receive an acknowledgement back from the receiving (handset) end confirming that the message has been received. Once this is received the center stops retrying to send the message.
However, in some rare cases there may be a fault at the receiving (handset) end, and the confirmation is not received by the message centre. Message centers are designed to continue retrying to deliver unreceived messages, so if there is a fault they continue to try to send the message.
In these rare cases, the message center’s reports may cause the text to be sent twice. This issue lies on the network provider’s side and unfortunately Skype cannot control it.
I d suggest turning off and then back on your mobile device in such cases. However, like I already said, roaming can cause such issue to appear and there is not much you can do. Sorry!

Fraudulent Skype Charge to Credit Card

At least once a week, I review my credit card charges posted to my account. Today, I noticed a charge for $25 posted by Skype Communications initiated on Jan 7, 2015. I do have a Skype account; however, there is no billing information on file nor have I ever purchased anything from Skype. I contacted my credit card company about this matter and they concluded my credit card information had been compromised. Therefore, I will be receiving a new account number and cards this week. I'm not sure if I am a random target, but I figured I'd share this info on this board.

Customer took unauthorized credit when paying for invoices

How can I post a debit memo against a customers account during the incoming check posting process?
The customer took an unauthorized credit on the check they sent which paid for other invoices. I do not want to short pay one of those invoices , I would like to post a debit memo on their acct when I am posting their incoming check payment.
Please inform me of the process. Thanks.

you can use 'Charge off difference icon' & at the bootom of the screen use posting key '01' & the same customer number & enter the amount to create a new item on the customer.
You can also use the text field to describe why this was created to help the users figure out at the end of the month.

Bought subscription but skype says no credit when I try to call

I have bought a 1 month 120 min subscription for Swedish calls but when I call I get the message that I have no credits? I got an email confirmation that my order went though

Why does Skype make your credit inactive?

I was just curious on if anyone knew why Skype would de-activate your credit after 180 days. That irks me quite a bit seeing how I paid for those credits. If I just wanted to throw money money away I could do it faster if I walked over to at trashcan.
I have periods of time when I am active on skype for various reasons (interviews, traveling in a different country, poor cell phone reception, etc.) and other times when I am inactive. For this reason I decided to buy Skype Credit so I can have a form of communication incase my cell phone doesn't work. I almost lost that credit if I didn't sign in today. Shouldn't the policy be once paid for that you always have? What if I am in a situation where my phone craps out (Reception, breaks, battery runs out) and I have to make a very important call and I login to Skype to do so only to find out I'm screwed on that end as well?
I am just curious on your thoughts and was wondering if anyone can provide an explanation on this poor business practice (I'm a little jaded at this point).

I agree. This policy is extremely annoying for consumers. I think that it would help people if Skype were to give a reason why they insist on inactivating credit after 180 days and sending you endless emails about it and generally wasting their consumers' time.

I just made a number of calls to South Africa and these calls sucked up my $9 pre pay even though it was supposed to come off my subscription mins of which I had plenty! Can someone explain this to me as to why this happened and how to approach Skype??

No, gifting (either an amount or a song, app etc) can only be done via a credit card - you can't use your balance for gifting.
