Skype TV Cam not delivered

I placed an order with Chat and Vision for a VG-STC2000 Skype TV Camera through Skype prefered partner list in Australia on the 17th of Oct 2012. its 20 days now and after 2 follow ups they say that the consignment is damaged and ask me to wait for another 20 days.
Bad Service from Chat and Vision Australia. Well i should recommend that Skype take them off the preferred partner list

just bought it a few days ago, their confirmation says 2-3 days now its already 5 days.
I sent them complain but no luck.. No body responded.
I think skype should be responsible by redirecting us to a scam vendor.

Hi- its working now. The problem is that all your contacts needs to update Skype and have the latest version and then bingo - it works. Its fab now.
Problem solved and set for Christmas call around.

FaceTime camera not working with Skype

Recently I've had trouble with my Facetime/iSight camera not playing nice wth Skype.
The camera works fine with Photobooth and Facetime, but if I try a video call in Skype, I just get the spinning graphic. Doesn't matter how strong the connection is. Until recently, I could get Skype to recognise the camera in the video preferences tab, but now nothing, just blank.
I've tried installing a plugin from Skype that's meant to fix the problem, but still no luck.
Any ideas appreciated

For Skype specific problems like this, search or post in Skype's dedicated forum.
Also, your OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2) is out of date. Restart Mac, repair disk permissions, and apply the OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.5 (Combo). Repair permissions again immediately following the restart that completes the Combo install.

There was a issue with school computers being used to spy on kids in their bedrooms, Mac's were involved.
So Apple most likely tightened the API's to only select, trustworthy companies as not to abuse the web cam access priviledge.
If you want to use a web cam with these other programs and services, you'll likely have to buy a third party USB one, so you can manually disconnect it.
There isn't a way to physcially disconnect the built in web cam on Mac's without busting open the machine.

Isight camera not working after the last update

i've tried photobooth, ichat, skype and it doesn't show up anywhere. in fact, when i go to system profiler, it doesn't show isight under USB connections at all.
just to give you a recap of what i've tried so far:
* restarting (obviously)
* resetting PRAM/SMC (by booting it the way it was specified in the isight troubleshooting thing)
* just shutting down my computer and taking the battery out for several hours
any Help pls
because i mast to use it as soon as possible in a conference

Try running repair permissions from your HD and afterwards run +repair disk+ from your software install DVD.

To fix your iSight, shut down computer. Reboot in safe mode (press power button and then hold shift key down). After computer boots, restart again. Hopefully, your iSight will start working again.

Camera not working after updating to Mavericks

After updating to OS x Mavericks my webcam is not working anymore.
I tested it with photobooth and skype but its not working.

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
To find out what you need to fix, you may need to test more than one Apple app in more than one user account.
All works for me, but you may need to update to the latest Skype (Skype_6.9.0.517).

Camera not working, Facebook, twitter and foursquare doesnt work too

Hi, I have a few problems with my Blackberry Z10. It is a brand new phone and I just used it for less than 2 weeks.
Issue 1:
The camera sometimes is not working. The back camera. It occurred 3 times in less than 2 weeks. First time, it say unable to start camera. Second and third time, it keeps asking me to close the camera application as it is still in use. I already close everything. I need to restart phone to fix it.
Issue 2:
Facebook message cannot be sent using the Facebook apps for Blackberry. When I try to send a msg, everything seems normal. It will display "Sending..." then "Sent at [time]". I thought it was sent but when I check my Facebook from my laptop, the msg is not delivered. When I refresh my Facebook in my phone, the message gone missing. It is not lagging or sending msg out slow, it cannot be sent at all without any error message.
Issue 3:
Twitter and Foursquare do not sync up with Blackberry Hub. For Twitter, I need to manually refresh to see the update. For Foursquare, it does not sync up at all. At the Hub, it displays "No entries in this view", even I refresh many times, set the app to Auto-Sync or even restart my phone. Does not help at all.
My phone details:
Blackberry Z10
OS Version: 10.1.0.2773
Facebook version: 10.2.1.13
Twitter Version: 10.2.0.1
Foursquare Version: 10.2.0.235

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone.
Regarding your Camera issue, remove your battery for 5 seconds. Reinsert it and after your device reboots, launch your Camera. Does it work? Does the error return?
As for your Facebook messages, to clarify you are in the Facebook app itself composing the message? If so, what happens when you go to the Hub>Compose>Facebook and select the contact? Does the message send?
For your Foursquare issue, since you added your Foursquare, has anyone commented on your check-ins? Liked them? Made a friend request?
For Twitter, delete your account then reboot. Readd your Twitter account. Do your mentions and DMs now show in the Hub?

Camera not working on new profile

I have 3 profiles on this same Skype, on one laptop. 1 profile works fine but on second profile camera not working (video not showing), audio works fine. I created a new account (e-mail is same from second profile) and is this same - video not working. I dont understand what is wrong. This same laptop, this same camera, this same drivers/windows7, latest Skype, and from 3 profiles one working fine. Please help!!!

Try to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:

LT2223 ThinkVision Monitor - Inbuilt Web Camera not working

I am using a LT2223zwC monitor which has a built in Web Camera but does't seems to be working - Skype cannot detect the camera and I have no idea how to get it work. Tried the Lenovo Web Conferencing from Control Panel, it only allows me to adjust the Speaker and Mic.
Any assistance is much appreicated.

Macbook Retina Display isight camera not working - graphics freeze

I recently bought a base MBP-RD and can say that I am overall impressed with it, though I have found a couple issues already. One of them is related to the iSight camera which for some reason doesn't work. The camera appears in system profiler, but it shows as "camera not detected" when trying to launch application like iChat, Skype, FaceTime, etc. I already tried re-installing OSX Lion, and still not working.
I have also found some weird issue with graphics where it freezes a series of frames when going to Mission Control or App Expose.
I am returning this computer as there are other things I didn't like, but overall pretty impressive (no LED battery indicator, no Lock slot, no sleep light indicator...)
Please reply if you have same issue.

i think Macbook Pro is a good computer but plenty of issues, since day one.
i received my computer with space bar cracked. i figured this out @ night when the keyboard backlight was.
then my USB port ***** on it, it does not read all.
even after the update no go the USB port does not work all the time with the apple usb to ethernet adapter.
while if i install vmware it does work on the windows in VMware environement.
my Camera also is not being detected how can i fix the camera.
please do not tell me go to genius bar, they are all but not genius, if you have issue they ask you to format they do not know how to troubleshoot.
Conclusion problem with macbok retina version:
isight Camera wont detect
USB port Does not work with all devices.
Space Bar key broken from manufacture.

Built In Video Camera not working

I used my Video Camera to Skype about 2 days ago. And now I cannot Skype, or use my You Cam. It says things like "Camera not detected." I've updated Skype, and You Cam, and everything else. The white light turns on when I try to use my video camera as well.

here is a link to a video for getting access to the webcam. You are going to have to check the connection cable to make sure it has not come off if it is still connected then you will have to replace the webcam.

Macbook pro camera not working -- very bad support

I have a macbook pro bought around October 2010. It has 3 years international warranty.
Few months back when I wanted to use skype, I figured out that the camera is not working. Took it to Apple care centre in Bangalore.
They found the camara to be defective. From their notes
" Reset SMC and PRAM. No go. Tried with known good OS. No go. Found camera not detected in system profiler. Checked with known good display. Camera working. Denied coverage as dent on the display clamshell"
Chatted with the relationship officer Joana,
1. I fail to understand that replacing the camera requires relplacing the whole display
2. Small scrach (can send the picture to you) on the outer cover of teh display is not the root cause of the camera not working
3. Display is working perfectly fine. Only camera not working
The relationship officers are such dumb and techically challenged people, that they fail to understand the real issue and instead just try to console you.
If camera is not working due to a defect, it needs to be replaced in warranty, if Apple's design dictates camera replacemnt to the whole display replacement, so be it.
Due to my feedback, some of my colleges (10+ guys) took Macbook pro. Extreamely dis-satisfied with the support cell and their techical abilities. Did not expect this from Apple. Will not take any Apple product and will not recommend anyone. Thinkpad rocks!!
