Skype v7.0.0.102 crashes after login
Hello comunity,
after i update my skype from 6.21.0.104 to 7.0.0.102 it always crashes after i login in skype.
I get the following message in my event log:

Most likely this is one of the several cases when the latest Skype 7.0 version is not able correctly to interpret BIOS data. At least, this was the issue with the previously reported cases with this error message:
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00d527d7
It seems that Skype has identified the issue and a fix is promised in one of the upcoming Skype versions.

Meanwhile, the working solution is to uninstall the 7.0 version and install the previous 6.21.0.104 Skype version:

After updating to version 7 on starting skype it closed aftre several seconds. Tried to clear Skype folder in Application data and reinstall application - nothing help. In the attachment there is dxdiag system info.

DxDiag.zip 9 KBAt present on the PC Skype 7.0.102 is installed. I started Skype two times, in event viewwer there were 4 info messages, see screenshot. Hte details of messages:
- Service started.
- SkypeUpdate service is shutting down due to idle timeout.
- Service stopped.
- Service started.
I haven't found any errors. In the system tab there are only messages that event of starting skype update was sent, Skype update was moved to state Working, Skype Update was moved to state Stoped.

ios7 bookmarking web application to home screen via Safari, crashes after login and when we try to open any link inside from the icon that gets created on the home screen. Can anyone please tell me if there is any scheduled fix for this bug in safari?
From what i understand i see that - Cookies are not transferred between your website and your webapp when installing the icon on the home screen (for authentication purposes for example). It was working until 6.1 and now it’s not working anymore.

Language changing is set up to use Alt+Shift+(1\2\3) to switch to English\Russian\Ukrainian accordingly.
After pressing Alt+Shift+2 or Alt+Shift+3 in any chat Skype stops responding. Bug existed since dinosaurs.

GNOME 3.16: Crash after login with GDM
Hi all,
I've just upgraded to GNOME 3.16, but unfortunately it wasn't completely successful. After I login with GDM, I get the "Oh no! something has gone wrong" screen, with logout the only option. Funny thing is: when I press the super-key, I have a working GNOME shell. I can even start programs like nautilus and firefox. But the error screen is in my view.

Upgraded to Skype 7 But crashes after login
Hi,
I updated my skype the other night and it crashes every time it logs me in.
I'm using my hotmail/msn login. on windows 7 home premium.
Had no problem until I upgraded.
I tried uninstalling skype, then clearing anythig in %appdata% roaming and local
Installed skype again and same thing.

Skype 7.5 Crashing After Login/Startup
DxDiag is attached. There are NO LOGS in my event viewer for Skype. Nothing is being logged on crash. No error message either. The window simply pops up for ~1-3 seconds and then disappears.
ALL VERSIONS OF SKYPE ARE DOING THIS. NOT JUST 7.5
I've tried reinstalling, completely wiping everything and all that jazz. No dice.
I've tried skype 6.3. No dice.
Updated ALL drivers. No dice.
Windows 7 x64 SP1 ALL UPDATES.
sfc /scannow log attached as well.

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer. -
My computer crashed, and after restarting, at first the desktop would build and startup scripts would appear. But now, the desktop is not building, and I can't get past the login page.
It Command+V boot, safe boot, or boot from the start disk.

Do I understand your post that you cannot boot from your software install DVD?
If that is the case, I suggest you take the computer to an Apple store or to an Apple-certified technician for diagnosis/repair. There is really little one can do without being able to boot from that DVD.

Macbook crashes after login, but fine in safe mode... please help!!
So, out of nowhere my trusty macbook a few seconds after my desktop appears the computer needs to restart screen scrolls down, and that's pretty much it, as far as i'm aware I haven't changed any permissions and as far as i can see there isn't a programme to blame, as mentioned safe mode is fine, this is how i'm able to write this, is there anything I can do from here to try and fix the problem with the regular login?

Will.If it works in safe mode then that usually means there is something related to system files causing the problem or the installation of incompatible software or malfunctioning software. The simplest solution is to reinstall OS X as follows:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update. -
Why does my macbook keep crashing after login and sleep mode?
For some time I've experienced my MacBook restart shortly after turning it on or awakening it from sleep. Today it did it repeatedly several times.
Anyone knows why?

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
Skype on Mac crashes after a few seconds
Hi, so a couple weeks ago I was trying to use skype and it just kept crashing after a few seconds of me opening it. I've tried reinstalling it, updating it, updating my computer, nothing has worked. If I'm actually able to call someone it's fine, but otherwise it just crashes on me.

7.0.0.102 Crashes immediately after login
After updating to Skype 7 it crashes immediately after login.
I don't have facerig or FFsplit or any webcams. Windows is updated firewall is turned off.

after an update Skype crashes on login. I tried to uninstall it and again install newest version downloaded from web, but still crashing.

Skype crashes upon login and I get a "Skype has stopped working." message. It started after my Win7 computer got a BSOD while skyping someone. First time I uninstalled Skype and reinstalled which got it working. The second time trying to open it though the error came back and uninstalling/reinstalling is not working. I have uninstalled, deleted the Skype appdata folder, removed all of the Skype registry keys, restarted, then reinstalled only to get the same error.
