Skype won't delete my account and remove my Skype ...

The issue: I wish to delete my Skype account and also have my Skype name removed from the Skype directory.
Why: I am using another Skype account with a very similar Skype name. I don’t want people to select the wrong name when they add me. Apart from this, it is my wish, my choice to have just 1 Skype name in the directory, not 2. 
First and foremost it is a disgrace that as a Skype user I cannot delete my own account (including Skype name from the Skype directory) if and whenever I wish to do so. You have to ask Skype to do it for you. But do you get any help? No, none what so ever!
The first thing I tried was Live chat. A complete waste of time. Then I submitted a support request. In response to my request I received an email from Skype Customer Service in which I was asked to provide the following details.
1. Country creation.
2. Year and Month of creation.
3. Registered email address.
4. Please provide us 3 Skype Names of your contact list.
In reply I sent a substantiated email with as much detail as possible.
1. Country of creation I provided.
2. I replied I could not remember the year, let alone the month I created my account. I did provide 2 possible years. There is no way to check the year and month. And Skype does not provide this info on your Skype account. So what then?
3. Registered email address same thing. I replied it could be 1 of 3 of the following email addresses I might have used when I registered. I also pointed out that I had changed my primary email address since registering. So again, how can you check your registered email address when Skype does not provide this info on your Skype account? Or do they mean the primary email address you are using now? Then be specific and say so!
4. I replied I had no contacts remaining in my contact list, because I had already blocked and deleted my contacts. I did offer to provide 3 blocked contacts.
I got the following astonishing reply.
"Thank you for the information provided, we appreciate it. However, we are sorry as not all of the answers match the data stored in our systems. Based on this we cannot carry out the request for safety reasons.
Please check your records and contact us again with the correct answers."
What a rubbish service! Instead of helping me - I wonder if someone read my email at all - I get this standard reply telling me to check my records. Check which records? Check them where?
Is there somebody out there who CAN help me?

What do mean when you refer to my registered email address? The one I used when I originally registered or the primary email address I am using now (which I changed before my I submitted my request and which is non existing, because I want to delete my account)?
Your Skype Account's Registered E-Mail Address is the one recorded or which appears in your account as the e-mail address Skype will use to send billing and payment or other account-related correspondence.   Occasionally you will receive promotional advertisements.   If the e-mail address is "fake" or "non-existing," then naturally you will receive no correspondence from Skype ... that said, if you want to discard the old account, then be sure to remember exactly what you input in that field so the customer srevice agents can match the information you provide with what appears on your account record.
Also I got the question in which month and year I created my account. I dont remember! How/where can  I check this? My Skype account details do not provide this info.
You are correct - the date your account was created does not appear in our account information.  You may contact Skype Customer Service separately to ask what this date is. 
Skype Customer Service could ask any number of questions related to your account that they would expect you would be able to answer.

    Be sure she signs out of your account before wiping her phone. Also, make sure Find my iPhone is disabled before you wipe it..
    Unfortunately, since you have "merged" her data with yours, you will need to delete each unwanted item individually. If you delete the account, when you sign back in with the same account the same data will be synched back from iCloud.

    I think you have to turn off Private Browsing.
    Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

    Help!  I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 6 and now one of my two emai accounts - my work account - no longer receives/sends emails.  I checked my e-mail settings and they were correct.  I then deleted the account and tried to re-add it, per discussions in other forums, and it won't verify the account.  In addi tion, there was previously an Advanced section in the e-mail account setting, and now there isn't - don't know if that is part of the probem and the phone needs additional information that it's not asking for anymore . . . I'm beyond frustated.  Many hours of lost productivity.  Any suggestions?  Can I got back to the previous version?  I was thinking of buying new phone in next few months, but if this is resolved I'm leaving Apple.

    In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
    If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

    I have deleted preferances. I deleted the account using the - sign in system preferances. I make the account inactive, close mail and relaunch and it is active. I have using the email and installed a new ssd system drive. I was able to change some of the mail program settings but then it just quit letting me change and save them. When I delete it in the mail program, it asks it I want to remove it for good, I say yes.

    Mail on my iPad 2 has stopped working since the latest update. The symbol is on the screen in its' usual place but it either opens briefly, just showing the blank framework for Mail before suddenly quitting, or all the App symbols disappear completelly from the screen. I'm not confident that i know what to do! If I delete the account and reinstate it will I lose everything that was there before?     Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
    Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Close all apps in the multi-task window
    1.Double-click the Home button.
    2. Swipe the app's preview up to close it.

    It is my understanding that if you delete the account per the instructions below, you will be able recreate, but you will NOT have access to the prior BBM contacts.

    You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
    Your choices are:
    --Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
    --Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

    hello, this is a scam tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff! as you've rightly mentioned, you're already using the latest version of firefox installed and you can always initiate a check for ''updates in firefox > help > about firefox''.
    you might also want to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan] in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.

    Set it up again. If you didn't delete anything from the mail server, everything should sync right back up.

    Download the yahoo email app, if you already deleted and reinstalled the email account and still have issue.
    This is a known issue with Yahoo email account.

    Since you have used your old Display name, it'll always show your email address in the forum for this question. When you post another question in the future, it should show your Display name instead.
    As I said, User Name is to be used to log into your forum account, the Display Name is what it'll be shown when you post in this forum. You can try to post a test in the forum to see if your Display Name is being shown or not.
