Skype won't let me cancel my subscription

I keep trying to cancel my subscription and am getting pissed off at skype.
I have been trying for days now and still no luck!
When I go into settings under my subscriptions on the left side as instructed I get my payment history.  I then go to cancel and get:
Oops something went wrong
We're having technical problems. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again after a few minutes.

When I try to follow links for support I get a page error...
It also won't let me delete my credit card until I delete my subscription...so I am stuck going in circles...

    I followed the steps:
    1) Went to my subscription page and clicked on settings. New page opened.
    2) There I had two options: View your stored payment details or Cancel subscription. I clicked on Cancel subscription. New page opened.
    3) Skype asks if I'm sure I want to give up my subscription. I have two options: Ok, Ill stay or Thanks but no thanks, I still want to cancel. I click on the latter. I click on Thanks but no thanks, I still want to cancel. It couldn't be more clear that i click on that option since that it my entire purpose of being there in the first place. And guess what happened. New page opened. Only this page is my subscription page (see step 1). It is as if skype doesn't acknowledge step 2 and 3. as if my whole journey through page after page never happened and I have to redo the whole thing again and again....with the same devastating results.
    I want to CANCEL MY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION. The link to cancel the subscription,  seems to me, is a freaking illusion. And skype is making money off me against my consent.
    So I am here begging and pleading with the almighty skype to just cancel my *edited for profanity* monthly subscription before I lose my mind.

  • Help. Adobe won't let me cancel my subscription. Why?

    I have tried everything to try to cancel my subscription. I go to where I can cancel it but the site tells me that I need to update my Internet Explorer. I have the latest version. I can't update to anything else. But all I want to do is have someone cancel my subscription. Why does Acrobat make this so hard to do?

    I canceled my annual subscription last month. It took half an hour to find the chat person that could do this. There is no way to cancel online except chat. The cancel was at 1 pm and I received an email saying the subscription was canceled. At 10:30 pm I now see that ADOBE re-activated the damn subscription so I'm waiting again to CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION. You charged me again!   • Skype won't let me sign out or quit

    My computer has been on standby for 3 days now because Skype won't let me quit or sign out. I can do other things on my computer while having Skype frozen but when I try to shut down my computer, it says Skype cancelled the shut down. 
    It would mean the world to me if a good samaritan could help me fix this really bothering issue.

    I am having the exact same problem, my laptop (macbook pro) has been on for a week, this is because whenever i try to shut it down it won't let me as it says 'to try again quit skype then restart from the apple menu', i have tried many times to quit skype but it is not working therefore my laptop is overheating.. what do i do?!
    I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me because the last thing i want is for my laptop to break!

  • I can't get rid of the set voicemail password page and it won't let me cancel to get to the keypad so how do I operate the phone?

    I have been left a voicemail message, but the phone keeps asking me to set a voicemail password, fails to save it, (says voicemail unavailable), then won't let me cancel, so I can't get to the keypad or use the phone to make calls! help!

  • Won't let me cancel scheduled recording

    Hello,
    I scheduled a TV show to record by going to the TV listings, selecting the show, and then clicking on "record it." I want to cancel it because it turns out that it's conflicting with 2 other shows I have taping at the same time. So I went to my scheduled recordings and clicked on the "cancel" button but nothing happens. I have tried refreshing the page, going to another page and then coming back, just giving it some time, etc. I've canceled programs plenty of times before without a problem so can anyone tell me why it won't let me cancel this show? (It's not on for several hours so that's not the problem.)

    this is happening to me too.  I scheduled a recording through my tv, but i decided that i didn't want it recorded anymore, so when i was on the computer, i tried to cancel the recording and it wouldn't allow me either.  Since verizon went to this new screen, i havent been able to cancel recordings

    Try this:
    Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.
    In the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\syswow64 and press Enter.
    Next type this and then press Enter:
    regsvr32  jscript.dll
    Next type this and press Enter:
    regsvr32  jscript9.dll
    After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.
    Reboot your computer.
    Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.
    Open in your Internet Explorer this page and watch the response:

    Skype won't let me call, receive calls, or do anything. Anything and everything I click on doesn't respond. I've tried to have both regular skype and beta and that doesn't work either

    Skype has stop working since I downloaded the latest update.  I down loaded from your website and installed version 6.16.59.105.  I am running it on Windows Professional 7 and Internet explorer 11.Symptoms.It allows me to log on but not to call anyone. When I call an online contact the system shows the “calling” but my contact never answers.My contacts never receive any call I try to make.Skype will not hang up on a failed call. The system continues to show the calling screen when I hit the ”hangup’ Icon or use the hang up command from the menu. The system will go on calling my contact forever (well it has lasted for 95 minutes till I shut down the computer)My contacts cannot see me on line.What I have done to try and fix the problem.I have uninstalled Skype, downloaded again and reinstalled. I have done this 3 times but get the same result.I have tried deleting the DbTemp folder and also found and deleted the Skype folder in the %appdata% folder.I have even tried  deleting skpe, deleting the DbTemp folder and deleting the skype folder in the %appdata% folder, then downloading a new copy and installing it.     First of all, did you sign up for a 7 day trial? If so you wouldn't have had to put in any card details. Your subscription will expire in a few days and you'll revert to a Free account (with no charge).
    If however you remember putting your credit card details into the Spotify website, then you may have two accounts. Check your email inboxes for a confirmation email from Spotify to determine which one's linked to your Premium account.
    Finally, how much are you charged each month? If you signed up via iTunes by paying within the app you will be charged 12.99 rather than 9.99. Please cancel that payment via Apple.

  • Skype won't let me type in my password!!!

    Whenever I try to log into skype, I keep getting this odd login box, as to the regular one. It won't let me type in my password or even change my username. I've tried to uninstall and re-download numerous amounts of times, but it didn't help. Any ideas?

    What you are seeing now is the new login window introduced with Skype 5.5. The new login procedure requires that a functioning Internet Explorer with enabled JavaScript is installed on the computer. You may try with resetting of Advanced and Security settings in IE. You can also do this by applying the Fix It from this Microsoft site:

    If nothing of this helps, then the following procedure will return the old login screen:
    Quit Skype. Make sure that you don’t see any Skype.exe processes in Windows Task Manager. If necessary, then stop these processes. Open C:\Program Files\ folder. If you have 64-bit Windows then it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder. Find the Skype folder and then Phone. Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). Right click on the newly created shortcut and select the Shortcut tab. In the Target field you will see now: "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" (or with (x86) if you are on 64-bit Windows). Click with your mouse on the text in the Target field and move your curser one space after the last quotation sign and add the text /legacylogin. The text in the Target field should now read:
    "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /legacylogin
    Click OK to save the changes. Start Skype using this new shortcut. Can you now login to Skype?

  • It won't let me cancel my photoshop membership and my 30 day window runs out in 2 HOURS!!

    I have had my photoshop annual membership for the past 29 days and decided I do not need it anymore (it will be 30 days in 2 hours), and when I try to cancel my membership I am bombarded with different links that just sends me going round in circles!! I have tried to find an e-mail address or telephone number I can contact to get direct help as it is urgent, but can't find any. I have tried to cancel it by going on my account, clicking manage plan under plans and products, then cancel plan, but this does not work. I have also tried the 'contact us' link then 'still need help? contact us', but when I am prompted to log in nothing happens. I have researched different ways and nothing seems to work!! I know that after 30 days if I want to cancel my subscription I will be billed 50%, and I will be very angry if this happens to me because it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to cancel it within the 30 days!!
