While Yoper sounds pretty good and it was interesting to see the comparison, I would like to see an comparision between Arch and both of those Distros. I used Gentoo before I started using Arch and it was cool but the main reason I switched was the time that it took to update and maintain the system. I just don't have the time for that anymore. Then I found Arch! Fast, lightweight, and very customizable. I was in heaven . I have tried almost every distro listed on Distrowatch and I always come back to Arch. One thing I hate most about distros like Yoper is that you have no choice but to install KDE. I find that to be relevant in most distros and thats another thing that keeps me using Arch. I don't use KDE or Gnome and I don't want that to be installed on my system if I am not going to use it.
I closing of my ramblings , I would love to see someone do a comparison article of Arch with other distros and give Arch the credit that it truely deserves. Thanks to all who work with Arch for a fast, stable, bleeding edge, and fully customizable distro.
P.S. Also I think that the community with Arch is much better than being treated like s!@t like with other groups and I do mean Gentoo the most. I hated to even try to ask for help in IRC I'm sorry to say because they were horrible. Sorry if I offended anyone with that but thats the experience I had.

Yes I agree but still I would like to see perhaps a little recognition in the Linux Community for Arch and its Dev's. They deserve it. Well lets just say that if anything I am very pleased with the work they have done. I have been using Arch for almost 2 years now and yes I have tried others on a seperate partitions just to see what's up but my primary is and always will be Arch. I read the article and just thought Hey, Arch is better than both of them as far as I can see so I had to open my mouth about it. Thanks for your response. I had Yoper installed for about a day. I don't care for KDE that much and I hate RPM. So it was not for me for sure. Others, fine but I will stick with Pacman thank you.

I've been using Plaxo for a while to keep the calendars and address books of my wife and myself in sync(different me.com usernames - when will Apple support this syncing between family members??).
Until now, this has worked without too much issues.
Q: I recently added a photo to someone's card (via my iPhone), and this replicated correctly to the address book on my 13" MacBook, as well as my online me.com address book - but it apparently didn't get uploaded to Plaxo (and hence also did not (yet) make it across to my wife's address book.
I cannot seem to find a setting to enable or disable this feature - guessed that all address book info get's transferred over with Plaxo, no??
Any ideas (other than manually copying/mailing the pic over: just want this to work automagically...)

Has anyone tried a Mac mini with its HDMI output as a substitute for the now old model Apple TV?
Yes, I did and it works great. It's a Mac, so it has the OS X desktop rather than the ATV media browser, but playing HD video through it's HDMI port is great. It can play all of my iTunes videos in addition to just about everything an ATV can't play. I'm using it mainly to watch Hulu Plus at present.
It has been correctly pointed out in the past that some HD rentals from the iTunes store are available only through the ATV, but the new ATV does not have a hard drive, so direct purchases will be impractical. I expect that rental restriction will change in iTunes 10 as all content for the new ATV will have to stream from another location.

Hmm, that's some sort of MIDI Arpeggiator setup in your environment. Strange that you don't know it, this has to be custom-installed, it is not part of the standard setup.
You can do two things about it:
1.unlock your current screenset (shift-L), then close the (Bass Driver) window, then relock the screenset (shift-L). Next time you open up this project you won't see the Bass Driver, but it is still in the project.
2. You can remove the whole page: open the Environment (cmd-8), then go to the dropdown menu arrow top left of the Environment window and select the Bass Driver layer. If it is selected, dropdown again and choose Delete. Now Save your project under a different name (Save As...), so that you still keep the Bass Driver setup in the original project. If you don't need to keep it, you can simply Save.

DURIM - Okay. I would expect the "Cache Warning" message because your default directories would not be the same as the ones in the settings file I generated.
If you go back to the "7.0" directory and open the "Logs" folder, can you copy the "Audition Log.txt" file and send it as an attachment to [email protected]? We'll take a look in that logfile and see if it gives us more information about why this is failing now.
Also, do you have any other Adobe applications installed on this machine, such as Premiere Pro? If so, do they launch as expected or fail as well?
I do have the trial Pro version of Adobe reader, but I have not activated it, because I fear the same thing will happen did it. I cannot afford to activate the subscription for that product and take the chance of it not working either. I depend on those two programs religiously. Here is the files that you requested. You cannot. If someone else told you there is a way then they will need to show you. After Effects requires a 64-bit system and the latest release requires Mac OS X v10.8 or v10.9 minimum

How about Jdev10g with OA extension of p6509325_R12_GENERIC?

Let me come straight to my interest!
I create a datalist control asset using photoshop. Bring this into Flash catalyst by importing the artworks. Then selecting respesctive artwork and making it as an horizontal list control with custom way for sliding between thumbnails with some description text.
Till now it is 100% possible with flash catalyst beta 1.
Can flash catalyst team further tweak this ui design tool to go ahead and select the data template and add custom interaction where, we can go ahead and give the path in such a way it makes a 180 degree carousel in seconds without any coding. I just need to go into the template and draw/move the positions for 5 thumbnails which sits within the width area of the datatemplate, then all the thumbnails follow the path.
This might be two much, but next wish is to, create states within the data template for loading the thumbnails into list control with custom animations, loading the thumbnail when some search is changed , i mean on layout updated on the datalist.
So in short , my wish is second level tweaking of layout needs to be done within data driven controls.

I am just rephrasing my question for you to understand!
But I don't mean only carousel, I love to see the list control comes in some innovative paths. As you know in flash CS4 adobe has come with motion editor concept for tweening, where you can go ahead and fix some path for the motion of any object on the stage like in aftereffects.
Now how about i take a template from illustrator where i define the data template of a data list control and scroll bar as vector assets. Now in flash catalyst, i come and fix them as data template and scroll bar. Now i double click and go into the datatemplate and then have a editor like in flash, where i can set a path for the motion of the repeated items, then in runtime it follows that path. This is my first idea.
Second one was i have a search box on top of it , then i type some name to search from the above mentioned datalist control, now it refines and updates the exisiting list with relavant repeated items. When this layout updates , each item should animate and sit back on the data list.
It's a small example for my idea! Hope you got my point!
As you said , I am also mentioning the same repeated items(a.k.a. Data Template, a.k.a. Item Renderer)! One more level of animation to avoid coding and easy to create stunning path following list controls. Even it can be used to define other controls too ! I don't mean images, it can be anything!

I've had this problem with any new device I've gotten to upgrade an old Apple one (iphone or ipad).
Go to settings, Twitter, and delete your account; then re-add it. That should do the trick! Good luck.

I made everything as well as was written, but on completion of the ios 6.1.3 installation the iPhone asks to be activated through wifi or through a wire to the computer.
I connected Iphone to the computer and the text takes off: (Were sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time. Please TR again later, or contact customer care! )

Perform the following steps:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to Wi-Fi if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.
