  • SLD configuration in already existing Solman system

    Hello,
    We already have dedicated central SLD in our landscape but now we want to configure SLD in already existing SOLMAN and decommission the existing one.
    Can anyone suggest how to configure SLD in already installed SOLMAN (may be high level step by step process)?
    Thanks & Regards,
    NK

    Hi Nitin,
    What will be the purpose of SLD of solution manager ?
    eg. 1631346 - Solution Manager 7.1: SLD configuration for PI monitoring
    You can add this SLD with a higher rank than the older SLD but lower than LMDB in solman_setup.
    Refer:Step By Step Process to configure SLD, MOPZ & EWA in Solution Manager 7.1 SP 8

  • Install error: J2E already exists

    I had to abort my first installation of the Java Sneak Preview, because my C: drive was running out of space. I am using a 2nd disk for the database. After carving out some more room on C:, I tried to cleanly and thoroughly wipe out all traces of the failed install before trying again. Unstalling MaxDB from Windows's Add/Remove Programs wouldn't work (I don't remember the exact error, but it was running the uninstall script with -all and reported it couldn't do this because I needed to get rid of an instance first ???). Since the database was on my removable D: drive, I finally got rid of it the old fashioned way: I reformatted the disk. I also deleted any trace of "J2E" I could find in the Windows XP registry. Nevertheless, my retry of the Sneak Preview install fails on a sapdb_db_create statement, with the root problem as reported in XCMDOUT.LOG that J2E already exists:
    > Subprocess starts at 20051107193441
    Execute Command : d:sapdbprogramspgmdbmcli.exe  -R d:sapdbj2edb db_create J2E CONTROL,CONTROL
    Execute Session Command : exit
    > Subprocess stops at 20051107193441
    ERR
    -24953,ERR_DBEXIST: database instance already exists
    Since I literally wiped out the database, can anyone tell me where the installation is still detecting the existence of J2E? How can I get rid of all traces?
    And since the initial problem I had was too little free disk space on my C: drive, and since I bought a second hard drive precisely to get around this problem, is it possible to direct not just MaxDB but the Was 6.40/J2EE Engine itself to my D: drive (it seemed to install on C:\usr\... without my having any choice in the matter)?

    Roland,
    That worked: After dropping the instance, I was able to cleanly deinstall MaxDB and try the Sneak Preview installation from scratch. I've rewarded points accordingly.
    However, I then ran into another problem perhaps you can help with. I will explain it here, but please let me know if you would like me to post it in a new thread, so you can potentially get separate points for this one :-).
    So here's the new problem: The installation hung during the 22nd task, Load Java Database Content. I let it run about 12 hours, before giving up, clicking Log Off, and rebooting my laptop. In jload.java.log, there are entries for the first couple minutes after that task began, then nothing. So after rebooting my machine, I crossed my fingers and tried to recontinue the installation, but I get an error, the root cause of which seems to be that the database needs to be restarted?:

    Any idea why the 'load database content' task hung? (By the way, I have 1 GB of RAM - should be enough?) And should I manually restart the database and try to continue? If so, how do I manually restart the database from the command line?

  • Need help with Sharepoint foundation web application stuck on "STOPPING" error job-service-instance-GUID Number already exists

    Hi All,
         I cant get to stop SharePoint foundation web app service. Its stuck on status stopping

    Hi,
    It seems that the issue is in the timer job definition for executing this operation.
    My suggestion is to start the service again and delete the job definition from the error and again try to stop it.
    This might be helpful:
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/22368/is-there-a-powershell-cmdlet-to-delete-a-timer-job
    I had a lot of issues in the past when try to stop this instance after the Web apps are provisioned.
    As general rule now If I have multi-server Farm topology that has servers that should not serve Web App requests I turn off the service prior to provisioning any Web Apps in the Farm.

  • WDA Error : An instance of popup view already exists in the application

    Dear Experts,
    I have used a popup in my WDA application which gets opened on the click of the button. Whenever the application is launched for the first time and when I click on the button to display the pop up I get the error "An instance of popup view already exists in the application"; when I close the application, relaunch it once again and click on the button to open the popup, it works fine. What would be the reason for this behaviour?

  • Trying to create ASM instance, thinks one already exists?

    I've got a problem with creating the ASM instance. Basically, I've reinstalled (v11.1.0.6) clusterware, and two database software installs (one for asm, one for db) due to a san swap. Now, I believe that there is still a hangover to the original installation. When creating the ASM instance through DBCA on Windows, I get the following:
    DBCA could not startup the ASM instance configured on this node. To proceed with ASM diskgroup management you need the ASM instance to be up and running. Do you want to recreate the ASM instance on this node?
    Yes
    Enter password
    DBCA will now create and start the ASM instance. After the ASM instance is started, you can create disk groups to be used as storage for your database.
    OK
    ASM Instance Creation...
    Encountered file error when copying listeners from home=D:\oracle\product\11.1.0\asm_2
    OK
    The operation will be stopped. Re-run DBCA after successfully running NetCA.
    I have a listener running (listener_rac), I have a similar problem with netca as it says I already have a listener called listener, which I do not, however, I have created listener_rac instead.
    I feel trhat the problem is that ASM1 (for node 1) or ASM2 (for node 2) already exists. However, I can not find either of these. I can create an ASM instance in single node mode, however, this creates an instance +ASM, which does not conflict.
    How do I find the non-existent instance, and remove it? (not in registry or services)
    Alternatively, any other ideas as to what is happening?
    Thank you for your time.

    I have a listener running (listener_rac), I have a similar problem with netca as it says I already have a listener called listener, which I do not, however, I have created listener_rac insteadDBCA created your listener... you can check on listener status
    srvctl status nodeapps  -n node01
    Listener is running on node: node01
    srvctl status nodeapps  -n node02
    Listener is running on node: node02
    if not start, start it by
    Usage: srvctl start listener -n <node_name> [-l <lsnr_name_list>]
    srvctl start listener  -n node01
    by the way, you cam use "netca" delete/recreate (listener_rac)
    After that, point to ASM:
    I feel trhat the problem is that ASM1 (for node 1) or ASM2 (for node 2) already exists. However, I can not find either of these. What did you see?
    crs_stat
    srvctl status asm -n node01
    srvctl status asm -n node02
    if you see asm on node01/node2... you can start them if thet offline
    srvctl start asm -n node01
    srvctl start asm -n node02
    and then.. use "DBCA" to help create ASM diskgroups.
    I can create an ASM instance in single node mode, however, this creates an instance +ASM, which does not conflict.that can conflict.. don't start it (+ASM)
    How do I find the non-existent instance, and remove it? (not in registry or services)
    Alternatively, any other ideas as to what is happening?use "crs_stat" command
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/rac.111/b28255/crsref.htm#CWADD6025
    and use "srvctl"

    That just means that the client already scanned for compliance, scanned again now and found out that the state for that patch (installed, required, etc) has changed.

  • Folder name already exists error when activating feature

    HI,
    I am creating a document library and adding folders to it using elements.xml in VS 2012.
    First time deployment of the item works fine, the folder is created. But further deployment or activation of feature from site features is throwing the error "Folder name already exists".
    Below is the elements.xml of List Instance, which was modified to add the folders.
    <ListInstance Title="TestLibrary" OnQuickLaunch="FALSE" TemplateType="101" FeatureId="Guid" Url="Lists/TestLibrary" Description="TEST Library List Instance">
    <Data>
    <Rows>
    <Row>
    <Field Name="ContentTypeId">0x0120004F994A3C0FF76546A528DA0D4B515898</Field>
    <Field Name="FileLeafRef">Test_One</Field>
    <Field Name="Title">Test_One</Field>
    <Field Name="FSObjType">1</Field>
    </Row>
    <Row>
    <Field Name="ContentTypeId">0x0120004F994A3C0FF76546A528DA0D4B515898</Field>
    <Field Name="FileLeafRef">Test_Two</Field>
    <Field Name="Title">Test_Two</Field>
    <Field Name="FSObjType">1</Field>
    </Row>
    </Rows>
    </Data>
    </ListInstance>
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you got “Folder name already exists error when activating feature”.
    I had used the following code snippet to create a folder within a document library, it didn’t throw errors when reactive the feature.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">
    <ListInstance Title="LibTest"
    OnQuickLaunch="TRUE"
    TemplateType="10000"
    Url="Lists/LibTest"
    Description="My Lib Instance">
    </ListInstance>
    <Module Url="Lists/LibTest/Folder1" />
    </Elements>
    http://shareden.blogspot.com/2012/11/creating-feature-with-image-library.html
    Also, when you redeploy the project, it will give you a dialog which would promote to delete the existed list or not.
    If you click the “Resove Automatically”, the visual studio would delete the existed list automatically, and create a new list.
    Thanks,
    Jason

    There is definitely more amusing endeavours in this world, than trying to understand why an SQL Server install failed. The log files are verbose - but somehow the real information about what went wrong seems to be hiding. Never have proverb about not being
    able to see the forest for all the trees felt more appropriate.
    Nevertheless, this is where things go sour:

    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:40:775]: Product: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Native Client -- Error 1316. The specified account already exists.
    What account? I supposed you have already asked yourself that and just shaken your head.
    But there is another error code 2203, NET HELPMSG 2203 says "The password parameter is invalid." And I note that the source is apparently on a share.
    So where is my guess: the MSI installer - which runs as a service, somehow does not have permissions to read the installation from the share. Or is trying to log on to the share with your username/password? No, I don't know, I am just speculating widely.
    But my advice would be to copy the installation directory from the share to a local disk.
    Maybe that CryptAcquireContext is significant as well - I don't know.
    Oh, wait, here is something just before the section above in the log:
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2205 2:  3: Environment
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2228 2:  3: Environment 4: SELECT `Name`,`Value` FROM `Environment`,`Component` WHERE `Component_`=`Component` AND (`Component`.`Action` = 1 OR `Component`.`Action` = 2)
    Action start 9:04:15: WriteEnvironmentStrings.
    2205 is "The logon processor did not add the message alias." I see that in a successful log that I have, so that is probably benign. But 2228 seems to be
    "There are too many names in the user accounts database."
    Exactly what that means, I have no clue, but it could be a Windows problem.

    Please help!
    Samnang.

    Hi SSamnang,
    According to your description, you come across the error that the specific account already exists. Please help to share the complete error log in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20150102_161500\SSCRuntime_Cpu32_1.log. You could
    use google drive to upload the error log following the steps in the article:
    https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2424368?hl=en
    From the exception help link, we notice that, the issue could be due to that an attempt fails to install SQL Server Native Client on a computer where SQL Server Native Client is already installed.
    I recommend you to check if there is already an existing SQL Server Native Client on your computer. If there is an existing one, you could uninstall it and install SQL Server again.

    Hi Bobo Dasilva,
    What you showed according to your output is you created an autobackup without the info on the datafile called:
    C:\ORACLEXE\APP\ORACLE\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\XE\AUTOBACKUP\2009_07_26\O1_MF_S_693232337_56R8O2N0_.BKP
    Than you created the tablespace which implictly created a new controlfile autobackup because you changed the structure of the database.
    C:\ORACLEXE\APP\ORACLE\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\XE\AUTOBACKUP\2009_07_26\O1_MF_S_693234306_56RBLMM1_.BKP
    This last controlfile autobackup is than used by the restore process which is the reason the controlfile is aware of the extra added datafile.
    Best would be to to force the restore of the controlfile from O1_MF_S_693232337_56R8O2N0_.BKP if you want the controlfile not to contain the info.

  • "file already exists"

    Hi there!
    Photoshop CS4 gives me a strange error. When trying to save a psd file as a jpg (using "save as"), it doesn't change the extension when selecting jpg from the format drop down menu. This results in a message, saying that the original file already exists, or when I save it to a different location, I get a psd file with jpg algoritm. Anyone any idea?
    I'm using XP SP3. Other programs do not have this issue. For instance, when working in Adobe Acrobat, and trying to save a pdf in the rtf format, it correctly changes the file extension, and saves the file as rtf.
    Thanks in advance!

    TurboPriest wrote:
     The problem must either lie with Photoshop, or a combination of Photoshop on my XP configuration.
    Most probably, since I don't get that problem. Maybe try installing the 11.0.1 update (if you haven't yet). If that doesn't work, then try to figure out the extent of the issue.  Try PS in a different Windows user account (create a new one), and turn off the unnecessary stuff that runs in the background on your computer. If you're not familiar with msconfig, then see this document for turning of background stuff:
    http://go.adobe.com/kb/ts_kb404984_en-us
    Let us know if either of these change the situation, and hopefully we can help you out from there.
    Also, have you installed any plug-ins for PS? Maybe one of these is interfering with Photoshop's jpeg plug-in somehow. Check out this document:

  • Function module in Infotyp which checks if identical data already exists

    I want to create a new hr master data (tcode pa30) for Hans Müller in e.g Company X and fill out the necessary fields in Infotype 0001,0002 (Name, Birthdate, etc. ) u2013 done !
    After  creating the new hr master data for Hans Müller Iu2019d like to fill out a special Infotyp (0032) namely Internal Data.
    PROBLEM:
    While filling out the IT 0032 I do not know if the person - Iu2019ve created a new master data for - is already existing in the system ( but in other e.g Company Z) .
    So what I need is a function modul in the Infotype 0032 which checks if there is already a person with the same data existing in any company (the whole data bank) using 3 characters from Infotype 0002 (Personal Data) namely ,   First name, Last name, Birthd. .
    And if a person with the same first name ,last name and birthday is already existing the function module should link to that one or just show me a information.
    Also tried to show you my problem on a graphic,
    Function_Module_Infotyp0032.png
    I hope you can help me. I would be very thankful for any hints , information or programming approach.
    Regards
    Sean

    the problem with your solution approach is that there could be different pers. no. for the same person in my issue.
    If I understood you well, that won't be a problem, since you already know which PERNR to use (The one you are using to update IT0032) In that case you only have to check if for that PERNR more than one record in PA0001 with different Company Code is present.
    If your problem is that another person with the same name and same date of birth is active in the system with different Company Codes it would be similar.
    For instance: Let's say that you find 2 different PERNRs for a given Name and Date of Birth in PA0002, then you can check IT0001 and look for the BUKRS value for those 2 Personel Numbers. If the values found are different you can raise the error message or whatever you need.

  • Error creation of JCO connection: System Already Exist

    Hi Experts,
    We have created the SLD connection to the ECC6.0 from the Portal 7.0.
    Created one JCO connection using that SLD successfully for the Clinet 100.
    Now we required to create one more JCO Connection for client200 also. But it is giving the Error that
    System Already Exist.
    How can we resolve this. When we create the JCO connection for one client, con't we create one more JCO connection for the same system for the differt client or not?
    If so How do it?
    Regards

    I think you can add one more client in the existing connection. well, I am not sure about that even.

  • How to check if nativemenu already exists?

    In my simple example below, everytime you click on the link to reload the page, a new nativemenu is created along with the one that was already there... Click the HOME-INDEX link multiple times and you will see multiple copies of same menu pop up along the top.
    How can I check to see if the menu already exists, so that it is NOT recreated everytime?
    Using Air 1.5 on Win XP Pro.

    air.ui.Menu.setAsMenu(_MainMenu);//No second parameter specified, so assumes Overwrite=false
    Adding the 2nd 'true' parameter still causes the menu to be created everytime, but it will OVERWRITE the previous menu, so there will only ever be one instance of the menu.
    Depending on the size of the menu, it would probably be less cpu intensive to just use somekind of IF statement to determine if it already existed, but if that does not exist, then this is the only alternative I can find right now.
