SLD Data Bridge Synchronization

Hi All,
I need to automatically synchronize SLD data from my CE 7.1 SLD system to Sol Man 7.01  system with the help of data bridge automatically. I know there is new feature call Data Synchronization available from 7.1 system, but with this it is able to do for lower versions  like 7.01?
Please let me know, whether we have got any SAP Document for this?
Thanks,
Anand.

HI,
what imformation do you want to transport to your solm system. you can use sld ->adminsitration->Data Suppliers.
here you can " Update Other SLDs" but there will be some information (like bs) which you could not synchronize
to your solm sld.

  • How to transfer SLD data from PI 7.1 to Solman 7.0

    Hi
. I Have a Landscape with Solman 7.0 (Central SLD) and PI 7.0 (DEV, QLT,PRD)-- Local SLD's, now customer wants to update from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1.
PI Local SLD's are pointing to Central SLD of Solman through SLD data Bridge.
But if i upgrade PI from 7.0 to 7.1 (with SLD 7.1), where should be my Central SLD ???  as SAP recommands we are not supposed to set a Central sld which is of lower version as in my case Solman with SLD still on 7.0 (To forward data from Local SLd to Central SLD -- pre requists either SLD version should be same or Hiegher) but they are on  SOLMAN 7.0
    Karthik

    Hi,
Ok i will be more precise on my question.
we have a landscape consisting ECC,SRM,CRM,PI and SOLMAN, (DEV,QTY,PRD) they are all on 7.0 version.
To my knowledge DEV,QTY,PRD systems Data Suppliers are pointing to Local SLDs respective PI (DEV,QTY,PRD) ie all DEV systems -> PI Local SLD and all QTY systems -> PI QTY and All PRD systems are Pointing to PI (PRD)
SLD Data is transferred from Local SLDs to central SLD in this way using Bridge Forwarding
PI DEV -> PI QTY, then from PI QTY to PI PRD and Finally  From PI PRD to Cental SLD on SOL
PI DEV -> PI QTY->PI PRD -> SOL (CENTRAL) all are on 7.0.
Now Customer wants to upgrade PI 7.0 to PI 7.1. then if upgrade is done to PI (DEV,QTY,PRD)
The Bridge forwarding will remain the same like this
PI DEV(7.1) -> PI QTY(7.1)->PI PRD(7.1) till here its fine now how to forward to the Central SLD of SOLMAN as its is still on 7.0 version
I Have read from the SMP that Bridge Forwarding from 7.1(in my case PI) i to 7.0 (in my case SOL)is Not allowed
But Bridge forwarding from 7.0 to 7.1 is allowed,
PI DEV(7.1) -> PI QTY(7.1)->PI PRD(7.1) <- SOL , Now central SLD will be PI PRD.
if i do so SOL will not be Central SLD any more and then how SOL can generate  EWA and other Solutions without SLD Data from Sat systems
Please provide me a solution for this.
    Thanks
    Karthik

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c9/dc37520bdf4b48bb8f6d4329f073d5/frameset.htm
Further just check if te user id credentials you are inputting in SLD data supplier bridge configuration are valid. Check if the user id is not locked. Further check if the password is valid and finally if he has all SLD relevant authorizations.
If I rememeber you had posted a thread for a similar issue recently.

  • SLD data supplier - HTTP call failed

    Hi All,
I am receiving the following error when navigating to 'Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier' within the Visual Administrator
    SLD_Collector_Task
HTTP call failed: Failed to send HTTP data: 401 : Unauthorized. Please check if the target SLD system is available and the SLD bridge is started there
The target SLD is started. How do I check if the SLD bridge is started?
Does anyone has any advice on this error? Thanks.

    Hi Lee,
You can check this using t-code RZ70
Also read the post installation guide for how to configure sld bridge where your sld is running.

  • SLD Data Supplier Issue

    Hi Friends,
I have problems configuring data supplier bridge. I logged into the SLD with admin user. I went to Administration -> Data Supplier.
I dont get to see the fields for entering Host, gateway etc required for RFC. I just have an option where i can select true/false for sld/active and there is a button to add SLD. Nothing else.
I dont see an option to start or stop the SLD Data Supplier Bridge.
I followed a document to configure ESS. The document asks me to open the Visual Administrator and follow Cluster->Server->Services->SLD Data Supplier. It is required that i have to enter the Gateway Host and Gateway Service/Port in the RFC Settings tab. Strangely I couldnt find any such tab in this path.
What could be wrong? We have the latest patch level installed.
    ECC 6.0
    EP 7.0
    SAP NW2004s..
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Nathan.

    Hi,
Thanks. How about Visual Administrator? What is the most recent version of ESS and MSS?
    Regards,
    Nathan.

  • Error while testing the CIMClient Test in SLD Data Supplier

    Hi Experts,
I am setting my SLD Data Supplier in Visual Administrator. I had filled the host/port/user/password information for both "HTTP Settings" and "CIM Client Generation Settings". Now, when i click on the "CIMClient Test" button, its getting and error message saying "Failed to Generate and Test CIMOMClient Object".
I have full authorization to use admin tools.
    What might be the problem.
    any help must be appreciated.
    regards
    sunil kumar

    Sunil,
    1. Try to restart the SLD Data Supplier Service in Visual Administrator.
    2. Check your input for testing CIMClient.
Hostname should be fully qualified domain name.
And cross verify the Port number properly.

  • Error when starting Dreamweaver CS6 w/Web Assist Data Bridge installed

When I start Dreamweaver CS6 I get messages that it can't find the following files in the Configuration/floaters directory.
    The Files are:
    WA_Memento.htm
    WA_Site Tools.htm
    WA_Site Tools_Progress.htm
Then it says "The Floater will not be shown."
    How do I fix this?

Resetting your workspace in Dreamweaver should resolve this. Click Window > Workspace Layout and reset.
If you owned older extensions, then installed Data Bridge, Dreamweaver is probably just trying to find the floaters the old extensions used. Should be a quick fix if you reset!

  • How to add attributes in Cost Objects via Data Bridge?

    Hi everyone,
I need your help. I want to know if is possible to add attributes via Data Bridge in Cost Objects tables like the country or address of a customer?
    Thanks for all.
    Sincerely,
    Pedro Sousa

    Hi,
Jef is right you need to use the different values in the "Attribute Flag" field for creating attribute hierarchy using data bridge.
For attribute Hierarchy you need to use option 12 & 15 depending on your requirement.
12  - Attribute Assignment  - Used for assigning attribute to a member of the main hierarchy
15  - Attribute Hierarchy only - used for creating hierarchy within attribute hierarchy.
As mentioned by Jef for details you can refer the Data bridge user guide section 4.3.

  • PI 7.1 - SLD Data Supplier issues

I am getting an error while clicking on "Collect and send data' in the SLD Data Supplier service in the NWA. The error is as follows:
    http://<hostname>:<java port>/sld/ds, Status: 403, Message: Forbidden
I looked at all the places that I could think of. Any suggestions?
    SLDCHECK works fine.
All the SM59 destinations work fine.
All the destinations in NWA for the Data supplier (SLD_DATASUPPLIER and SLD_CLIENT) work fine.
I am able to do the development in ES Builder fine. But, when it comes to the adapters, I am unable to see any of my adapters as my cache refreshes are failing. I started debugging this issue and stumbled upon the error in the SLD data supplier.
    Thanks

  • Problem changing sld data supplier slddsuser to new userid in VA

We are experiencing lockouts with slddsuser in the SLD so I planned to change all fo the userid's under sld data suppliers to a unique userid for each client.  I created a copy of user slddsuser in solution manager and made sure in the UME the new userid's had all of the same security.  When I change the userid in sld data supplier in the J2EE the HTTP fails with a 403 http error.  The CIM test also fails.  The message says to verify the gateway and that the sld service is running which they are since I can change the userid back to slddsuser and everything works fine.  What am I missing for security on the SLD side the new users are exactly the same as the slddsuser that works find??

    Hi
One reason why no other user will work is because you would likely have to create any new users for each data supplier in the target SLDs UME
Actually I noticed in another thread a useful suggestion - its possible one of the data suppliers reflects the wrong password
or an old password for SLDDSUSER this could be causing the lock - unfortunately there is no easy way to identify this
    - perhaps you could check the SLD logs (now and in future) and/or increase the trace level to diagnose
    Best wishes

  • Help with Data bridge

    Hi All,
Ive just brought Data Bridge the Dreamweaver extension, to try and make life a little easier as i am still new to web design and need to develop a donations page for a funeral directors.  I dont need to worry about the payment of the donation as this will be done through another website but what i would like is to have a search box where doners can enter the deceased name, the name will then appear with a link to donate for that individual. So what i do need is to build a database to hold deceased client information, a search page that searches that database, an 'order' page that would accept input from the donor and link it to the decedent record, a user authentication page for the staff (funeral arrangers) to gain access to the data, and a set of data management pages (add/edit/delete) so that staff can manage the decedent data. I have set up a mysql account via my server but not sure where to go from here. Can anyone point me in the right direction, where do i start?
    Thanks for any advice!

To start with, you will need to create a database containing tables.
After that, you will be able to use Data Bridge to create the relevant pages. Data Bridge will automatically create pages for search, insert, edit, delete, search results and a details page.

  • SLD Data Supplier User is locked at regular intervals

    Dear Sirs,
I have a Webdynpro application using two JCO connections to the backend to fetch data. One day it just stopped working. After some searching I found out that my SLD Data Supplier user was locked in the UME, due to too many failed logins.
When I unlocked this user everything worked again. Next morning when trying the application, the SLD Data supplier user was once more locked. If I lock it up it works, but it stops working again at fairly regular intervall (due to too many failed logins).
The time it stops seems to be 15 minutes over each hour; however sometimes it seems to work for more than an hour some times less. This makes me belive that there is some kind of regular job which mess it up.
Below is an extraction on what is going on in the logs around the time it stops working.
I know others have had these kinds of error messages in conjunction with XI, but did not find a solution of the forum with fits me.
Any hint on how I can solve the problem, or find out why the user gets locked is appriciated :=)

    Hi Jørgen,
This problem must be due to the user being entered with an incorrect password in one of your systems which accesses XI. I'm afraid the only way to find it is to go through all your systems' RFC destinations, transaction SLDAPICUST, and anywhere else the user info might be entered.
I would normally recommend creating a separate user for each system accessing XI, so that in cases like this it is far easier to narrow down the search.

    Thorsten
