Related Integration server for Business System in SLD
HI All,
IN SLD we have one Technical System for PI and one TS for R/3 System.
When I crating Business System for R/3 in R/3 TS, in Integration Tab what I have to select for Related Integration Server option.
It is having None and Business System of PI TS System.
Please help me in this.
Regards,
SreeHey
Looks like you are defining this Business system as a Integration server.
See here is what you need to do.
Step 1:First of all create a business system for XI system itself, this business system will have details of XI system and its role will be Integration server. You can have only 1 Integration server(hence you are getting the error).
Step 2:Now define a business system of type Web as ABAP for R/3 system, this system will have role as Application system but the related integration server will be the name of the business system of PI system(the one which you defined in Step 1).
As of now,are you getting any business system name in the drop down box for related integration server while creating business system for R/3 in SLD?
If yes,then simply select that
Thanx

Integration Server in SLD shows no System
Hello,
I have the following problem. When I log into the SLD, go to technical System, filter for XI then I See Adapter Engine, Integration Directory etc. For each of them the column System is filled (SAP-System and Host). Only for the Integration Server it isn't.
And when I log into the Runtime Workbench and select Configuration then I et an error that no Integration Server is available in the SLD.
Does anybody know what is the problem for that.
thanks
MichaelaHi,
The best way what you could do is goto transaction RZ70 and enter the appropriate details in the SLD Bridge tab
then do the proposal and finally press the esecute button to start the data collection.
This will automatically create an entry in the SLD then you need to maintain business system manually.
But before executing the data collection remove the existing IS server info if it's already present.
More details on this can be found in XI Post installation document.

SLD: recreate deleted Business System of type Integration Server
Hi,
accidentally i deletet the business system of type "Integration Server" in the SLD. And i can't recreate it. It always says:
"Integration Server already defined There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System."
Any ideas to create such a business system?
The old one isn't there in the list, after i deleted it.
regards,
msHi,
If you change/delete the host name of the Integration Server after the installation in either the SLD or the exchange profile, you must adjust it accordingly in the exchange profile or the SLD, respectively

[XI] Missing related integration server in SLD
Hi Experts.
I'm very new in SAP Netweaver and it's components. Now I study <b>XI</b> and I would like to config some simple scenarios (FILE-XI-FILE etc). My colleague have installed XI on our machine and everything set up as well. I started with <b>SLD</b> in order to configure Technical systems and Bussiness systems. At first, I configured <b>Technical system</b> as <b>Third-Party system</b> and then I start to configure <b>Bussiness system</b>. I used Third-Party system as well and when I was on the last step of the Business system wizard. The Business System role was preddefined (Application System) and unabled to change. I wanted to choose from the List of Related Integration Servers, but there is <b>nothing in the list</b>. Now I'm helpless and I don't know how to get the name of the integration server to the list. Could anyone help me with my issue? Any help would be welcome. ThanksHi
Thank you for your help. Your posts were helpful, but it didn't solve my problem yet. Look at that scenario: <a href="/people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-i:///people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-i. I have exactly followed <b>that scenario</b> and in the <b>step 6</b> I wanted to choose <b>related integration server</b> (in that scenario it's <b>SXI</b>) but I have an <b>empty list</b> of my related integration servers. In SLD I tried in Administration->Content Maintenance->(subset)Landscape Description->(class)XI Domain and I found out that there are <b>XI Contained Adapter and XI Contained Integration Server</b> associated with it. So is there needed some configuration in Content maintenance in order to solve my problem. Probably my question isn't very well described, but I'm sorry because I don't have any experience with XI and I just started with it. <u><i><b>So my question again: How will I get the name of my integration server to be in that list (like in that scenario in step 6 ...)?</b></i></u> -
Hi,
In our SLD under Business Systems definitions all of our "Related integrated Server " fields have no values (No Intgration Server is defined"). I am trying to understand where I am missing an entry in SLD for the integration servers.
ThanksHi SUnil,
Hope this document, helps in fixing your issue.

Business System of type Integration Server In SLD .
Hi
Can anybody tell what is the criteria on which we decide whether a business system to be created in the sld should be of type Integration Server or Application System .
And also can we have only one Business system of the type integration server in the sld ?
Can anyone please explain the concept behind this.
Thanks
Nilesh.

steps to create a business system
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/flatFILETOFLATFILE&
If there is no business system for integration server, that means the post installation steps are not completed or someone messed with the business system for integration server.
To define a business system, follow post installation steps from install guide.
http://service.sap.com/instguides
SAP NetWeaver -> Release 04 -> Installation -> SAP XI -> Installation Guide - SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0 SR1 follow page 38
If you do not have integration server, that means your XI will not work.

Use of Related integration Server in SLD
Hi all,
I understand that Related integration Server from SLD is used when we have proxies. Is there any other use for it?
cheers
danusHi,
The Related Integration Server is used to assign your Business System to a Transport Group.
When you create a Transport Group in the SLD you assign the corrsponding Integartion server to this transport Group.
Now, when your create a Business System and assign the Related Integration server , this assigns the Business System to the correspinding Transport Group.
The best use case is when you have a single SLD being shared between Dev , QA and Prod.
The Related Integartion Server has nothing to do with proxuies.

Two integration server on the same sld group
hii,
If I configure two xi integration server to one sld in the same group?
Is it recommended?
Will it cause a collision between the two systems?
tanks in advanced
RoyiHi,
This can be done as follows,
1. Create multiple Business System Soruce Gropus. When creating the group for the source, you need to give the related integration server . In your case create the Source Busss System Group A and Group B for intregration server A and B.
2. Create Business System Target Group Group C for integration server C which is the target integration server.
3. Assign the source business systems to the correspiodning groups by providing the correct related integration server.
4. Do the same for the target Business Systems as well.
5. Now, go to each of the Source Business System and then select the Transport Targets option and map it to the corresponding business system on the target side. This should be done for all Source Business System of Group A and Group B . They should all point to the correct Business System of Group C.
6. When importing objects you would need to make sure that the Business Systems Being used in the Configuation Scenario all belong to the same Source Business System ., ie. a confgiuration scenario should be such that all business systems used in it belong to either Group A or Group B and not to both.

How to get DEV Integration Server into Prod SLD?
Hello,
in a two-tier landscape I need to define transport targets in SLD. Both PI syetems have their own SLD. In each SLD there is just the Integration server of the corresponding PI system. How to get the DEV Integration Server into PROD sld? Manually?
Thanks,
CHRISTOPHHello Seshagiri,
that is what I wanted to know. So there seem to be two possibilities:
- Creating the DEV Integration Server in productive SLD manually
- Exporting the DEV Integration Server from DEV SLD and import it into productive SLD.
I tried importing / exporting SLD content some time ago. AFAIK there is no exporting single technical / business systems, you can just export all the content together from a SLD?
Thanks,

How to register an Integration Server with an SLD?
In my SLD I can see:
- Adapter Engine
- Integration Directory
- Integration Repository
- RWB
But the Integration Server is not there.
I have tried:
- Restarting the PI 7 system
- OSS Note 764176 (Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents)
- Registering to the SLD using the Visual Administrator and RZ70
Any ideas?
Thanks.HI Paul,
Just check in Integration repository whiole creating the Communication channel for File Adapter
Are you able to see the entry for Adapter Engine as--integration Server as shown in the Blog OR missing that???
If you are missing that means you need to implement that Blog which i provided
If you just want to create the Integration Server in Sld means , follow this

Integration server as logical system in IDoc to file scenario
Hi,
Will we configure integration server as logical system in IDoc to file scenario or the RFC destination related to the port will be suffice?
For which logical system will the outbound partner profile configured?
Regards,
Gajendra.Hello,
I feel that the RFC destination linked to the port is the key here.
Because the scenario (IDoc to File) works in both the cases:
Case 1: Used the logical system as Integration server
Case 2: Used the logical system related to the file (third party) in the SLD.
In both the above cases the RFC destination points to the integration server.
Is this the case that in the XI scenarios (where IDoc are sent) the logical system name in the partner profile is just dummy and has not much significance??
It is the port that matters and once the Idoc reaches XI the routing takes place based on the configuration in ID.
Thanks.
Regards,
Gajendra.
