Hi Roland and others
I have checked the SLDCHECK, and here is the result:
Use transaction SLDAPICUST if you wish to maintain the SLD server access data
Launching the SLD GUI in a separate browser window...
=> Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!
Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
Retrieving data from the SLD server...
Function call returned exception code 3
=> Check whether the SLD is running!
Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
=> Check SLD function and configurations
SLD is still down:

I was running Firefox fine just yesterday. I screwed up the registry a litle while removing an installed program completely, so I restored the system and everything appeared to work fine. I then decided to play an old video game, Return to Krondor, which was made back in 1998, so I ran the program with no other programs running in compatibility for windows 98. After finishing the game, I closed it and put the computer in hibernation mode. I come back today and firefox will not run at all. It is not running in the background and there are no programs running. There are no services running which could interfere with it. I think somehow Firefox may think I'm in compatibility mode still, but I have no idea.
I'm running windows Vista 32 - bit with an AMD 2.4ghz processor, 4gb ram on an Emachine computer. I have already tried system restore, restart, processes etc. Nothing works. I can still run Internet explorer and all other programs. The person that I was assisting, has Windows 7 which has 64 bit system. Her browser was IE 10.
Was IE11 ever offered (or installed) via Windows Update?
Is her computer currently fully-patched at Windows Update?
Is Adobe Shockwave Player v12.1 (or higher) installed on her computer?
Is Adobe Flash Player v15.0.0.189 (or higher) installed on her computer?

I'm not sure but since it's saying there's a library issue, you could try running:
# ldconfig
Failing that you could try a:
# pacman -Rns slim
# pacman -Syu slim
I tried both "ldconfig" and "pacman -XXX", but the problem is still there.
Maybe I need use another way to recompile slim in my machine.
But I have no time to test it now, I will try it another day.

Jlaunch process is not running aftre system copy
Dear All,
I am having EP Production server, which is on SGeSAP Cluster. We are planning to remove the cluster and move the EP Production to a standalone server. So we planned to do a system copy po this server.
I have done a system copy of EP Production server, after doing the system copy, database and SAP instance is getting started without any problem in the new server, but processes related to java is not getting started.

SPAM and SP Updates not running on system
Hi SAP people,
I have been struggling for a few days with a landscape that I am trying to set up and would appreciate your input.
I am running on Windows Server EE, with MaxDB 7.6.00 build 35. I am installing ERP2005.
When I try to install the required SP's and SPAM updates, I get messages like "DD ACTIVATION" and "imp all", that display for at least 12 hours.
I have tried to import the packages 1 by 1 and alternate between running them in dialog and the background.
I have executed r3trans -d from the "e:\usr\sap\GAQ\DVEBMGS01\exe>" and get this output.
E:\usr\sap\GAQ\DVEBMGS01\exe>r3trans -d
This is r3trans version 6.14 (release 700 - 15.06.07 - 15:50:00).

r3trans finished (0012).

Also, the latest SLOG output is as follows:

I have downloaded the 133 kernel and the relevant R3trans and TP files.
Can anyone advise me to the next course of action?
I have added the dbms/type = SDB parameter to the instance profile. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance. Helpful suggestion will be rewarded.Hi guys,
Further update.
Once I execute the TP command, I get this...

This is tp version 372.03.35 (release 700, unicode enabled)

And after adding the dbms/type parameter to the instance profile and the windows environment, when I try to execute the r3trans, I get the following...

My Applet not running in java not installed systems.
dear sir/madam,
i have an applet which uses java.awt.* and java.awt.event.* classes, is running in systems with J2SE installed. but it is not running in systems with java enabled browsers without J2SE installation.
i want my applet to be run in all java enabled browsers without J2SE also.
how to make my applet work.
thanks in advance.
-- ks_mosesinstall J2SE to develop Java programs..
install JRE to run your Java Programs
To run your applets into such a browser, you must have a plugin installed on that browser to run your applet, so install JRE(Java Runtime Environment), it will install the Java plugin automatically so you can run your applets, GoodLuck

System Preparation Tool Must be Administrator
Hello,
I am attempting to run the System Preparation Tool with Windows 8.1 Enterprise x86 on an Asus T100TA. I have all of my drivers and software I want already installed on my image.
But I am unable to run the Sysprep through the UI or Command Prompt, even though I am in the Audit Mode's Administrator account. What options are there? I already had to reinstall twice after leaving the tablet on overnight and wasn't able to get back into
the Administrator account. I get the "You must be an administrator to run this application" message.
Thanks,
Zach
zmbHi Zach,
I did some tests on my machines and it took some time. I apologize for that.
I found the following rights are needed to run sysprep.exe:
•Back up files and directories
•Modify firmware environment values
•Restore files and directories
•Shutdown the system
I got following error message in setuperr.log if one of the rights that are essential for running Sysprep.exe have been removed, even I am already in Administrator account.
2014-12-18 19:49:34, Error [0x0f0053] SYSPRP ValidateUser:User does not have required privileges to sysprep machine
2014-12-18 19:49:34, Error [0x0f00a1] SYSPRP WinMain: you must be an administrator.
2014-12-18 19:49:36, Error [0x0f0053] SYSPRP ValidateUser:User does not have required privileges to sysprep machine
2014-12-18 19:49:36, Error [0x0f00a1] SYSPRP WinMain: you must be an administrator.
Please use the Local Security Settings tool to check the user rights assignments first.
Click Start, click Run, type
secpol.msc, and then click OK.
In the Local Security Settings window, expand
Local Policies, and then double-click User Rights Assignment.
Look through the list of user rights and verify that the Administrators group has the rights that are needed to run Sysprep.exe.
If you need to add a right, double-click the right, and then click Add.
In Select Users or Groups, click Administrator, and then click
Add.
Click OK twice to add Administrator to the list of users who have that right.
Note: If the policy that removed the necessary rights from the Administrators group is set at the Domain, Site, or Organizational Unit level, you need to modify the Group Policy
of the domain.

"qmasterd not running" - how this happened and what we did to fix it.
For this with the message "qmasterd not running".
This may be of help to those of you who are unsuccessful in
• initialising qmasterd
• can't sucessfully 'START' qmaster from the system preferences panel
• can't start qmasterd from the shell or the startupitems
• can't establish a cluster in qmasteradmin.app
• etc etc
Taste will vary ofcourse.
SOLUTION: after 2 days of concentrated troubleshooting on this we REINITIALISED the startup disk and RE_INSTALLED THE 10.4.8 O/S and all the applications and replaced (copied) the user data on the primary startup disk.
Affected H/W:
• g5 QUAD w/8GB memory and 3.7TB disk (including 2 x 250SATA internal DDMs) with 7800graphic card
• 30inches HD Cinema display
HIstory:
• decided to UPGRADE internal 2 x 250GB SATA1 DDM's with 2 x 500GB sATA2 DDMS because of storage shortage.
• on advice, we used APPLE MIGRATION ASSITANT to migrate 100% functional OS 10.4.8 startup disk (Macintoish HD) to external FW disk that had a fullfunctional 10.4.8 and apple pro apps as a back up. (This proved to be a very bad error of judgement - a mistake)
• all data migrated over to external disk sucessfully. System restarted on EXTERNAL DISK and tests (TTPRO) and user apps run - all is ok
• replaced G5 internal UPPER SATA1 250GB disk with new SATA2 500GB .
• using G5 startup DVD's , built and initialised OS/X 10.4.8 system on NEW G5 QUAD internal UPPER 500GB SATA2 disk as Macintosh HD.
• used Apple MIGRATION ASSISTANT to migrate all user and apps and ALL the files and objects from the working EXTERNAL disk we made earlier.
• reatrted and all looked fine. FCS, SHAKE, MOTION etc etc.. all business apps. UNTIL!..
• we could NOT get qmasterd to start - msg "qmasterd not running"
• restarted system many times.. no success.
ERROR SYMPTOMS:
• noticed sever apps were corrupted such as WACOM TABLET, LIttle SNITCH and others - these were remidied by reinstallation ... however..
• console crash reporter contained MANY dumps of qmasterd with general addressing exceptions:
Exception: EXCBADACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERNPROTECTIONFAILURE (0x0002) at 0x0nnnnnnn
also r31 contined the page aligned address of the exception.. and this was ALWAYS different.. so assumed a data driven (parm??) corruption.
• other symptions include that need to kill -9 (force quit) qmasterd as it would NEVER shutdown.
WHat else we did to try and fix this:
• repaired disk permissions (disk utility.app) - no luck...
• repaired qmaster files disk permissions as per http://www.kashum.com/blog/1152611689 and follwd instructions.. no luck
• removed QMASTER as per the instructions at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93234 - reinstalled - NO LUCK - still dumps... ;(
• removed all the qmasterd parms hoping that would help - no luck
• used many sugesstions form these discussion, COW etc .. including disconnecting all networks... no luck
• tried out most of the suggestions including an excellent on from Richard BF at http://www.kashum.com/blog/1152611689 - a trully excellent entry for those with the issue of Unable to connect to background process' error dialog problem.
• einstalled QMASTER for SHAKE4.1 disks - no luck
• resinstalled FCS (2 hours later) - no luck
• restarted on secondary system (the external disk) and QMASTER works fine!
• reinstalled the original 250GB SATA1 - restarted form it to verify QMASTER was ok.. no dumps existed.
• reinstalled OS 10.4.8 (OS only) .. no luck
• used CARBONCOPY (CCC) to make new disk - this failed miserably .. will not use this again ever....
final outcome:
• concluded that APPLE MIGRATION ASSISTANT had somehow corrupted some objects in the SECOND GENERATION of copy) from external DISK to new internal 500GB SATA2 drive.
• threw the towel in and initialised the G5 QUAD's UPPER internal DDM (500GB SATA2) - installed a new OS to 10.4.8 + maint
• tediously installed every APP including ADOBE CS2 and the CS3 photoshop whilst I mess around calling Adobe locally for an activation code (I always need to do this I dunno why).
so a great waste of 2 days.
Summary: when QMASTER works it is terrific.. especially for rendering and transcoding... but when it doesn;t it is dreadful.
Maybe someone with expertise could shed some light on this.
cheers
W
Hong KongHI Chris, I closed it because:
• at the time + a few eeks after I posted it, I had few views of it .
• it is just a reference document to suggest the trouble shooting procedures and headaches we endured to try and rectify it in the view that others may try this path
• it is in fact old news for some who have FCS 2 now.
The 'fix" is described in the "SOLUTION" part of my post.
I agree your symptom you are having wth QMASTER is of great frustration.
I would encourage you however to perserve to get this working because wehn set up it works very well.

SMF and multi-user service not running
Hi,
I have an issue with several services not starting ...
As you can see, the multi-user services is "offline*" And it remains like this...
I've recently patched the system hoping it would resolve this issue, but no luck. Restarting the server does not help.
# svcs | grep multi-user
offline 14:14:21 svc:/milestone/multi-user-server:default
offline* 14:14:53 svc:/milestone/multi-user:default
# svcs -xv
svc:/milestone/multi-user:default (multi-user milestone)
State: offline since Wed Dec 05 14:14:53 2007
Reason: Start method is running.
See: http://sun.com/msg/SMF-8000-C4
See: man -M /usr/share/man -s 1M init
See: /var/svc/log/milestone-multi-user:default.log
Impact: 6 dependent services are not running:
svc:/system/webconsole:console
svc:/milestone/multi-user-server:default
svc:/system/basicreg:default
svc:/system/zones:default
svc:/application/graphical-login/cde-login:default
svc:/application/cde-printinfo:default
I've tried to enable the services above manually, but had no luck.
Thanks.Darren_Dunham wrote:

svc:/milestone/multi-user:default (multi-user milestone)

Reason: Start method is running. The start method of milestone/multi-user is responsible for (among other things), running all the /etc/rc2.d scripts. If you've placed a startup script in there and it's hanging, you'll see this behavior. From memory, I think there's a 30 minute timeout before it gives up and continues.
During the problem period, you probably want to do a 'ps -ef | grep rc' and look for any rc scripts running. That will probably point to a startup script hanging.
DarrenThanks Darren,
That was the problem. A hung script in rc2.d/
What is odd, is that this script is the same on many of our machines and no problems have been found until now. Thanks for your help. Killing that processes made everything start properly. -

Technical systems in SLD not replicating in LMDB
Hello ,
I am installing new quality solution manger system (QSM) and trying to connect sandbox erp system to QSM .
Already configured SLD and sandbox is visible in it by RZ70 and configured synchronization connection between SLD and LMDb in solman_setup .
Currently on the QSM is available in the LMDB , what should I Do ?
Also for connecting diagnostic agent , In step select SLD it is configured but showing with 0 agents so in connecting diagnostic agents step , when trying to get agents nothing is found .Hi,
I did not understand what is happening in the LMDB, you say that QSM is there...? What you should do in this case is to perform/finish the system preparation and basic configuration. Once these are finished, do the managed system configuration for the sand box. But before that, review its definition in the LMDB according to this wiki: Maintenance of Product in the System Landscape - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki.
In relation to the SMD agent not being available in the SLD, it's not necessary, it only matters that the agent is connected to the Solution Manager. Connecting it to SLD will enable it to connect it to the Solution Manager, but you can connect it directly to the Solman, skipping the SLD. The steps are described in KBA 1907909.
I recommend using the Java message server port to connect it, you can check the dev_ms file to ensure that the correct port is being used.
Best regards,
Daniel. -
SHADOW system Dispatcher NOT RUNNING
Hi All,
We are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC6.0. The PREPARE went fine but during the upgrade, we are getting an error. The SAPup is not able to connect to the shadow system for running some jobs. When we checked the MMC, we found that the dispatcher is not running for our SHADOW system. We are on Windows/Oracle 10g.
Here is the dev_rfc.trc file -

Application file does not run on user-end system
Dear Friends,
I just finished preparing a DAQ VI for measuring reed switch parameters and tested it many times on my system with Labview 8.5 prof edition and DAQmx8.6.1. The program runs excellently on my system. Now when I build the application(.exe file) and try to test it on a fresh system without Labview, my program is not running and the "Active" yellow LED on my USB 6221 keeps on blinking every 3 Seconds. I have no error message displayed because I have not done anything exclusively to show error messages. I have installed only DAQmx8.5 and Labview runtime engine on that system. I herewith attach my VI. Please guide me through in overcoming this problem and also brief me on how to display error message on the front panel to the user during runtime.

FINAL4main.vi 83 KBHi Mike,
Thanks for your ideas. I incorporated create task-create channel-start task-clear task methodology in my VI and could experience a lot of improvement in the execution speed too. I attach my VI for your viewing and comments.
I would like to add some more finishing to the executable. I want to display any error messages to the user on a separate tab on the front panel which need not be always visible to the user. I also need to disable the "Maximize" button on the front panel so that the user cannot maximize the executable window. I also need to hide and show a numerical indicator programmatically. Is it possible ? I also need to disable the "Test" pushbutton, once it is clicked till one entire cycle gets over.

Help PowerBook 150 not Run disket flash Question mark System 7.5.3 - 18 parts.
PowerBook 150 not Run disket flash Question mark System 7.5.3 - 18 parts. Please Help !!!
Hi,
First of all, in order to verify whether the 7.5.3 system software files are of the type earlier downloadable from Apple (with one large image file split onto floppy-sized segments), could you confirm that the first of the eighteen files has a file name with ".smi" at the end (before .bin or .hqx), and that the remaining seventeen files each include ".part"? The US version had totally nineteen files (one. smi and eighteen .part), but as I indicated above, this was different depending on language version.
If the PowerBook 150 is empty (without an operating system), you will need a startup floppy. Do you have access to a Disk Tools floppy for the PB 150? A Network Access Disk 7.5 floppy would be useful under all circumstances, and can be used as an alternative startup disk (and the system folder could be copied to the hard disk, and would then act as a temporary system). The problem today is that Apple's older software downloads list, which contained the Network Access Disk 7.5, does not appear to be available any more.
If you have the NAD 7.5 file already, the normal way of creating a bootable floppy was via a utility called Disk Copy (on another Macintosh computer with a built-in floppy drive). Disk Copy 6.3.3 can still be downloaded (https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1262). The Make a Floppy command under the Utilities menu is used to create properly sector-copied floppy disks. Please note that the Disk Copy utility is not needed or used to mount a self-mounting image (.smi).
There were special methods allowing an NAD 7.5 floppy to be made through a Windows PC as well (using a Windows version of StuffIt/Aladdin Expander and a utility such as WinImage).
It is also possible to obtain a version of StuffIt Expander for the PB 150 through a PC (but the PowerBook would need at least a temporary operating system first). With access to an older Windows PC (capable of running a DOS program) with a floppy drive, you may want to try the following: Prepare an empty PC-formatted 1.44 MB diskette via FORMAT A: in DOS or the "full" formatting option under Windows. Download the MACDISK.EXE file from http://rrzs42.uni-regensburg.de/Macintosh/files/macftp.html . Run this MACDISK.EXE (DOS) program on the Windows PC. Follow the instructions on screen. The result will be a Mac-formatted (sic!) floppy that could be moved to and used with the PB 150. This floppy contains a StuffIt Expander installer. Once installed, drag downloaded .bin files onto the StuffIt Expander program icon to decode them.
