  • Third Party System In SLD??

    Hi Friends...
i need to use third party systems in my scenarios..
for third party Business systems and Technical systems ..is this mandatory to provide Logical systems and host names in SLD.
    regards
    Ram

    Hi,
    I hope no..But..
Unlike SAP products, third-party products are not necessarily included in the SLD component description. Therefore, you must first register the third-party product before you can register an installed system of this third-party product in the SLD.

If trasport target defined as QA1CLNT400 then change it to QA0CLNT400 in Dev SLD.

  • J2EE Host for the SLD can't send data to itself

I am trying to setup a SLD on our ABAP+J2EE Add-in WebAS 640 SP10 system.  The SLD is setup fine.  I can import information from all of my ABAP systems via RZ70 with no problems.  I setup the data send from the J2EE side via the Visual Admin.  All my other J2EE systems send their data correctly as well.  Except for the J2EE system that the SLD is actually hosted on.
When I do a force send from the Visual Admin tool I don't get any errors.  If I trace from the SLD side I get the following details.
    #374140 04/20/2005 10:51:44.281 [Thread-113] FINE com.sap.lcr.sagent.builder.GenericBuilder: Generic builder end work

However I end up with absolutely no information about this J2EE system.  The only thing that I can think of that might be causing a problem is that I am running in a Microsoft Cluster and sqld15 is the virtual host name of the MSSQL database.  The virutal host name for the SAP systme is d15cs. However the ABAP side of this clustered system doesn't seem to have any problems with the situation.
I am a little bit at a loss because I am new to the whole J2EE side of the world.  My searches on SDN and OSS have not revieled any helpful information.

    Hello,
I think you delete the content, when you delete the "sld/active" in -> Administration -> Namespaces.
We already tried this and after that we imported the Content again. Short conclusion: It did not work for us.
We still have the problem - the j2ee-instance cannot send its data. The ABAP-instance with RZ70 works fine. The manual sending with Visual Administrator reports no error, but still no data in the SLD.

  • Configuring SLD

    Dear all,
I have been studying the guides under System Landscape Directory (SLD) regarding the SAP recommendations on SLDs. I read in the Planning Guide - System Landscape Directory for NW 7.0 SP15 that if you have a central SLD that various data suppliers send data to, you must have a dedicated user id for each data supplier in the central SLD. I do not understand this. Why couldn't I use the SLDDSUSER of my central SLD for all data suppliers?
    Many thanks
    Andreas

    Not quite, Nesimi
The planning guide is clear: For each data supplier, you need a dedicated user in the central SLD.
What I do not understand is why. Why can't I get away with using the SLDDSUSER of the central SLD for all data suppliers? What difference does it make if I have a dedicated user for each data supplier in the central SLD?
I have 10 systems to send data to my central SLD and I want to avoid creating 10 different users, if it can be avoided
    Regards
    Andreas

    Hi Jayant,
    sapgw01 is available?.
Central Application Server = Sapgw  + system number or instance number  of R/3 system.

  • Which SLD?

    Hi All
We recently installed an in-house XI system along with Solution manager and we started using the SLD from the Solution manager, it works fine everywhere but the Integration Builder (Design and Config). Is there a setting somewhere we are missing here? When I try importing Application/Software components from the SLD within the Builder it points to the XI's SLD which we are not using.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Ravi

  • SLD Administration

    Hello Experts,
I have installed a NW 04S system.I need to access SLD.I have given all UME,ABAP rols to J2EE_ADMIN. But when I try to access SLD page (http:
host:50000/sld) with J2EE_ADMIN user it gives error saying
" SLD not configured; configure the SLD in Administration first "
But the adminitration tab on this page is disabled. Please tell me how to configure the SLD.
    regards,
    Pravash

    Hi Pravash
The problem which you are facing is because your user j2ee_admin does not have SLD rights.
    Follow these simple steps:
1.Create a role called lcrsld or something you like
2.Assign actions to it related to lcr.For example lcr administrator. You can search with the name lcr and get all the lcr related actions.
You can also refer to the below link
3.Now add this  role to your j2ee_admin or any other new user.
4.Thats all you can now access SLD
The above 3 steps will solve your problem.

  • Which SLD option should be used while Installing BI in SAP

    hi all,
I had installed my BI development server with local SLD. now while installing quality server i want to use the same SLD which is there in development.now while installation its ask for the option of choosing SLD.
can i choose use central SLD and give the host name of development SLD.is this the correct procedure or should i install using the option
    "Configure a local SLD"
    Regards,
    Priya

If you want to use the Development SLD then for QA you need to select the Central SLD option and then provide the host name and the port no of the Development server.
Decision of Local SLD vs. Central SLD totally depends on the system load. For PI systems generally it is recommended to have local SLD for each D, Q and P.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Naveed
