  • Failed to send SLD settings to remote agent

    Dear Guru's,
I'm facing problem when trying to register SLD Agent. I have run this command :
/smdsetup.sh sldconf , /smdsetup.sh managingconf and etc but nothing is worked for me.
after i have run those command, Agent is available within system, but when i tried to push SLD Setting i got this error :

I just update the Solution Manager ABAP SPS11, but my JAVA SPS is still 07.
Is it because i don't upgrade my Java ?
My DAA Agent is 7.20 patch level 87.
kindly need your help to enlighten me about this issue, i cannot move to other configuration because this error.
    thankyou.
    Best Regards,
    Marvin

    Hi Marvin,
Can you explain in details which system are you trying to connect with some screenshot and logs.
Are you trying to connected a non-ABAP/non-AS-java system ?
If yes, you check this thread.
    http://scn.sap.com/community/netweaver-administrator/blog/2013/08/11/trex-configuration-with-solution-manager-71--part-1
Also, check this sap KBA for more information.
1147499 - Connection to the System Landscape Directory
If you are registering DAA of SLD.
    then Use below command
    smdsetup managingconf hostname:"sapms://<fqn>" port:"<MS httpPort>" [optional user:"<...>" pwd:"<...>" servername:"<...>"]
    smdsetup managingconf hostname:"<fqn>" port:"<p4 port>" [optional user:"<value>" pwd:"<value>" servername:"<value>"]
If this is also not working,
    Execute the command
    smdsetup supportlogs
At the end of the execution of the command, a Zip file is generated in at the following location: /usr/sap/<AGENT_SID>/<AGENT_INSTANCE_NUMBER>/SMDAgent/supportLogs_<TIMESTAMP>.zip.
    Ans share the zip file.

  • SLD Settings in CAF (NW2004s SP10)

    Hi All,
I am working on CAF Application (NW2004s Sp10). I have created an application to read PO Details. I am using external service from ECC6 system. • Sld settings for idoc to idoc

    hi experts,
for the idoc to idoc scenrio (not making use of BPM)
I have 2 business systems in sld which will be referring to the two r/3 systems.
suppose bus_system1 has logical system name as logsys1 for server1
suppose bus_system2 has logical system name as logsys2 for server2
in we20 for server1 and server2 what logical system name is to be included for the partner profile .(is it the XI server name with receiver port leading to the xi server)?
here there are 3 systems participating in the transfer of data and i am a bit confused . Please help.
    Regards,
    Shrita.

    Hi Shitra,
On the service marketplace there is a nice how-to-guide
(http://servie.sap.com/nw-howtoguides => Exchange Infrastructure => How To Sample IDOC Scenarios within XI 3.0) that explains every step you must go thru.
So you could use this how-to-guide as reference.
PS.: The guide "How to configure the IDOC Adapter" (same place) is also worth reading)

  • Need SLD settings

    Hello All,
I am working on IDOC TO JMS Senario. What are the settings need to do in PI System Landscape Directory. Can anyone guide me step by step.
    Thanks&Regards,
    VenkatK

    Hey,
         Create a Product.
Create a Software component refering to that product.
    For Idoc
Create a technical system of type WEB AS ABAP refering to the software component.
Create a Business System of type WEB AS ABAP refering to technical System.  Logical system name should refer to the one created in SALE.
Import the Software component in IR.
Import the Business system in ID.
For JMS create a Business service inI D.

  • SLD Configuration

Hi, I've a problem with the SLD settings. I followed all the configuration steps: server activation, CR files importing, configuration of the SLD Data Supplier Bridge. I created an RFC destination and it is now running.
Then, if I try to test SLD Connection from the Web Dynpro Content Administrator toolbar, it is OK; but when I try to run my application or to create or maintain a JCO destination I get this error:

You said you have created RFC destination, is it in sm59??
Have you created the JCO destinations and tested them? YOu need to update hosts files and also services files for message server port.
If on click of maintain JCO destinations, error is coming, then there is problem in server settings, try restarting server....
Once your JCO destinations are tested propertly, then webdynpro applications should work properly!

  • SLD in 2004s

    hi all,
I am facing a problem in the SLD settings. we are using NW2004s sneak preview. In the sld page, under Administration -> Data Supplier bridge, i cannot find the options for entering the parameters Server and Service. the start/stop bridge button is also missing.
In that page, only the following option is available:'Update local SLD (sld/active): TRUE.'
in the user admin i have created all the required users, roles and groups and all the settings have been done exactly as described in the post installation guide:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/652b1f46-0a01-0010-25ae-e7cb07b55414
still i cannot find the above mentioned options. what could be the reason?
    thanks n regards
    Shyam.

    Hi Shyam,
There is a small change in the new sld. Now you can find the Data Supplier Bridge
    under <b>Administration</b>--><b>Profile</b>-->Inside the <b>Section</b> dropdown select <b>datasupplier</b>
    I think this will help..

  • Solman 7.1 SR4 SLD config

    Dear Experts,
My landscape is ECC6 with out Diagonostic agents installed in any sateites other than Solman 7.1 SR4.
In all satelites SAPHOSTAGENT is installled and working properly.  Kernal Level is 700 in satelites and 720 in Solman.
I ran solman_workcenter in solman where everything went fine except SLD config where conect all Diagnostics agent to SAP Solution Manager step only solman s showing other satelites are not showing i ran rz 70 in all satelites no errors reported in it.  I can view satelite system details in mange system  tab but not in the former one.
My doubt is is there any way i can add satelites to solman sld without DAA installation in satelites ..?..... I am sure its possible....
Kindly open the attachent. Helpful answers will be rewarded . Thank you

    Hi Manjesh,
I believe your requirement is to register all sattelite systems to Solution Manager SLD without using DAA on the sattelite systems.
For registration of sattelite systems in a central SLD, you need to follow the below steps -
For ABAP stack of sattelite system -
Maintain SLD host settings in transaction SLDAPICUST & test connection
Maintain SLD host & gateway settings in transaction RZ70
Execute settings in RZ70, this collects & sends data to SLD and also schedules a job to perform this task regularly
For Java stack of sattelite system -
Maintain SLD settings via RFC destinations - SLD_DataSupplier & SLD_Client
Perform a manual collect & send data to test
Login to SLD system and check the last updated date under Technical systems.
This will help you to register all sattelite systems to Solution Manager SLD without use of DAA.

  • PI 7.11: Import of CTS+ transport fails (Integration builder only)

    Hi,
I've released a transport from DEV to QUAL system.
    I've imported via STMS.
But I don't see the transported objects.
The imported change list is already closed and I cannot activate the contained objects.
There's no open change list available for my user.
When I try to transport those objects again, I get an error in STMS:
com.sap.aii.ibtransportclient.XiTransportException: caused by: ClientServerException exception:Unable to transfer object Configuration Scenario SetEmployeeSOAP (DirContext) to change list 'XI 7.1 Import' (c6a9ea7b-57db-11e1-a930-000025876142) since object is already in your change list 'XI 7.1 Import' (e1586c72-57c2-11e1-bf9c-000025876142).
How can I activate the objects contained in the mentioned change lists?
    Thanks in advance!

    Unfortunately, I've crowned too early
The target systems are not filled in correctly.
We have a 3-tier environment (DEV, QUAL, PROD).
I've setup the same SLD settings in SLD in DEV and QUAL system.
    SAP_DEV has target SAP_QUAL and SAP_QUAL has target SAP_PROD.
But in the scenario that I've imported into PI QUAL it didn't replace SAP_DEV with SAP_QUAL (e. g. in CC, Receiver determination etc.).
What can be the reason for that?
Are my target settings not correct?

  • Error while calling RFC

    Hi all WebDynpro Gurus
    I am using EP7.
I am developing an WD application for KM functionality in which I need to call RFC from backend. I followed the "<b>Creating WD application accessing ABAP function</b>" example.
But when I executed the application I got following exception.
    <i><b>Root Cause</b>
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
com.sap.lcr.api.cimclient.CIMClientException: java.net.MalformedURLException: URL must have a host part
    <b>Correction Hints</b>
Accessing the System Landsape Directory (SLD) failed. Depending on the concrete reason (see root cause) check the following:
is the SLD Supplier in the J2EE engine configured correctly? See the SLD documentation for more details about the SLD and about how to configure it.
are all JCO destinations maintained correctly? Use the preinstalled Web Dynpro Content Admin application to check/edit the destination. Use the Ping and Test functions of the Content Admin to verify that each destination is properly configured.</i>
I checked JcO connections in the webdynpro content admin. There the status is unknown and create tabs are disabled.
I checked the SLD connections in content admin , the entries are as below:
    <b>Host name : blank
    Port: -1
    User: blank
    Url: http://.-1/sld</b>
Where could i configure these SLD settings and what should be the new entries ?
I dont have permission to view WebDynpro console.
    Please help me out.

    Vinod,
Claim: "Hello, World" application with WD and RFC is the "Hello, World" application with most complex configuration.
    Prove:
    1. You need to run http://host:port/sld and import CIM context
    2. You need to add technical WebAS ABAP systems to SLD (same URL)
    3. You need to run Visual Administrator and setup SLD connection parameters (host, port, user, password)
    4. You need to (re)deploy your WD application
    5. You need to run web-based WebDynpro Content Administrator and configure JCO connections.
Fortunately, [1]-[4] is necessary only ones per server, [5] is necessary per every application.

  • BPM -  IDoc to SOAP problem (Unable to convert sender service)

    Hi,
I have a BPM scenario where I'm sending an Idoc from r/3 to XI to SOAP.  As part of my scenario I'm sending an acknowledgment (ALEAUD) back to R/3.
I'm getting Unable to convert sender service IP_BPEL_INBOUND_ORDER to an ALE logical system on the Ack back.
So I usually know what to do when I get this, I do the SLD settings on the r/3 service and I'm OK.  But in this case, it's asking for those ALE settings on the Integration Process?
I tried adding a logical system on it but now I'm getting the error that this is already used by the r/3 service.  So I'm not to sure what to do next???
    Rgds,
    Yves

Ok do one thing, in you mapping take one field at target side (may be u can create one or use which is not been used yet) just map the standard function called Sender to this field in target.
Now in Intergration Directory when you do the header mapping by using F4 do not map the business systems this time, just press the button "Etended Path" (m not sure abt the exact name of this button) not use the X-Path here and select that target field which you mapped with Sender function in mapping.

  • How to add similar systems in SMSY: BI Portal and NW Portal?

    Hi All
I am trying to add our BI Portal in transaction SMSY and assign it in our Solution Landscape, however I am having a few issues. Basically we also have a NW Portal 7 in out landscape aswell, and I cannot seem to add 2 Netweaver Portals. So here is where I am stuck:
Firstly the BI Portal (BBP) does appear in the Systems section in SMSY and I have configured the SLD Settings in the Visual Administrator.  In Systems the BI Portal is listed as EP Core, Enterprise Portal, Search and Classif. (TREX), so when I go into: SYSTEM GROUPS AND LOGICAL COMPONENTS > SAP NETWEAVER > Enterprise Portal, I already have one logical component set to SAP NETWEAVER PORTAL SERVER (the NW Portal 7 (EPP)).
So , what I want to do is add another portal component (the BI Portal) and assign the various Dev, QA and PRD Systems and finally include it in the Solution Landscapes.
Does this make any sense to anyone and if it does can you let me know if I am doing this correctly or have I missed something vital.
    Thanks in advance
    Phil
PS: Will always award point for helpfull answers.

    Hi Phil,
The Logical Component "SAP Netweaver Portal Server" is a supplied reference and should not be used.
You should create your own logical component based on a copy, typically identifying it in the customer name space by prefixing a Z_ to the logocal component name, into which you would populate the server/client info for the vaious system types.
Because the logical component "SAP Netweaver Portal Server" already exists, you cannot create it again.
This is why you are getting this error.

    Paul

  • File Adapter and Third party system

    Hi,
I am new to XI and implementing a simple scenario.
In SLD- I have 3rd paty software component and product.
3rd party technical system: using my pc - For host name I am using my machine name.
Scenario: Using file adapter transform csv file to xml.
File resides on my machine. I have configured file adapter inbound and outbound. Integration Dir & Rep objects are all activated.
But nothing happens, cannot see any message in Messgae monitoring..
Any help would be great.. Is my technical system setup wrong?
    thanks

chk whether the folder in your m/c where the CSV file resides is shared and has appropriate access. Also you need to specify your m/c IP with fwd slashes, e.g) //<Ipaddress>/foldername
configuring your m/c as a Third Party system in SLD is fine.
If you think ur SLD settings are not correct, you can define your file adapter commn. channel  in a Business Service(which does not require an SLD entry) and check whether it works.
    Thanks
