Sleep button used to have a click sound

My phone is 4 days old and I remember hearing a "click" sound effect when pressing the sleep/wake button. After a day or two it stopped, and makes no sound. I've checked settings and there is no option for it. Do other people's make this sound when putting your phone to sleep?

Hi TechFrency, This happened to me. Make sure you don't have your phone vibrate mode only. The button on the top left side. If it has a red dot then it's in vibrate only. This will silence the clicking sound.
Hope this helps.

Greetings, I have an iPod Touch, that I recently tried to access the apps store. I can't enter my password, due to not being able to switch the keyboard to lower case letters. I tapped on the arrow up button, and it makes a click sound, but the letters do not change. Am I doing something wrong?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • My mac pro wont start. I push the power button and I get a click sound. A few seconds later another click sound and that it.

My mac pro wont start. I push the power button and I get a click sound. A few seconds later another click sound and that it. I've tried different power plugs. Going direct into the wall, through a power strip. By iteslf, with other devices plugged in. I removed hard drives, and some RAM, and nothing. Sometimes it would not turn on, and then some minutes later it works. So its was sparatic, but now its been the same situation for three days where it wont turn on.
I'm guessing power supply, but I wanted to see if anyone had a similar expereince and what the solution was, before I drag this beast to my local Apple store and have them look at it. Its a real pain to get it there and back and I want to be armed with some info for them. I already dragged this to them when it first started to do this, and of course it started up just fine for them. And you know if it works for the Genius then theres nothing wrong with. No matter what you explain to them.
I figure if anyone had a the same problem and was able to resolve it, I can relate that experience to the Genius even if it start up for them.
    Thanks

Try a SMC Reset using the extended method:
    Remove the AC power cord.
Press the power-on button. [This drains the stored charge from the power supply]
    wait a quarter minute.
Restore the power cord, being certain to JAM it into the socket, as the big block of rubber inhibits proper seating.
    wait a quarter minute
    attempt to power on.
If no joy, examine the button battery half-hidden behind the graphics card. Remove it to measure the Voltage. A new battery should not cost over US$5, and measures a little over 3 Volts. BR-2032 is used in garage door opener controls and car door locks controls. The geeks at Radio Shack can measure it for you.

  • When i touch my iphone 5s home button it makes a small click sound before pressing completely. Is it normal ?

when i touch my iphone 5s home button it makes a small click sound before pressing completely. Is it normal ?

Mine does this too. I know EXACTLY what you mean. If you push lightly (not actually depressing the button) it makes a higher pitched "click". Like the saphire is getting caught up on the ring surrounding the saphire layer. Any input Apple???
My wifes 5S hasn't started this yet. Wondering what the issue is here? I have notices other threads with the same issues.

  • Should Keyboard have the "clicking" sound when typing?

I noticed that the MacBook Pros, when typing on them, have the clicking sound when pressing each key. My wired keyboard also has a clicking sound when typing. However, the MBA I just received in the mail, does not. Only the space bar essentially does. Is this the same for all of them? Thanks.

Yes, this is normal. The keys don't really click, the spacebar isn't really a click but it makes a slightly more click like sound the other keys on the MBA.
The latest MBP keys are more like the MBA keys I believe.

  • When i used to download a game i use to have to click to allow certain downloads. now i cannot find the bar. it used to appear at the top of the screen

when i used to download a game or a programme i use to have a tab that used to ask if i allow the programme or an extension to download. now i cannot find it any more with the new firefox. can you tell me where to look?

You can check if you see a download action for that file tab in Tools > Options > Applications
You can delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

  • Default Strata navigation buttons used to have colors besides blue with Windows 2000.

I recently moved from Windows 2000 to Windows 7 and noticed that the default Strata navigation buttons are now all blue. For example, with Windows 2000 the stop "X" was red and the "Forward" and "Back" arrow buttons were green. No biggie, but is there any way to get these colors with the default navigation buttons in Windows 7?
    Thanks!

Hello and thank you for the reply!
While I am waiting for the issue to start up again, I'd just like to cover some things you mentioned in your post. :)
I only updated the bios because I was originally experiencing these issues. It was a method to hopefully resolve them, which did not work. I was very careful, and the process was a success. I updated to the most recent recommended driver for my motherboard
    from the manufacturers.
As for Auslogics Boost Speed, it is not running on my computer, as it is a piece of software I only have used to clean junk files (cache/temp) for a very long time now with no issue. I have also tried updating all of my drivers with success, however that
did not solve the issue either. I even rolled back my network card driver just in case with no luck.
I have not thought of disabling my audio driver yet, being how it effects far more than just my audio when it happens. My mouse is jittery/laggy as well when no sound is playing. But other tests have shown that it may be a network issue. Next time it happens
I'll temporary disable my network drivers to see if that causes the issue to clear up.
I will be sure to mark answers which help appropriately. Thanks again! I should return with the information requested from Zigzag's wiki within 2 days of on-time, when this happens again.

    hello,
i have a problem with my sound on iphone 4 no sound by getting mails and messages also the keyboard cliking sound is not working  i do have sound by mobile rining i get i icon on the screen this is not reconized for the i phone the iphone is new

Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B:
    Restart phone
    Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware problem that needs evaluation by Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your country.

  • How I can bring back the keyboard clicking sound?

I used to have a clicking sound when I used my keyboard.
The sound went away. How can I get it back?
    Thanks.

Have you looked at it in Settings? Try cycling the selection there.
Do you have any sort of Muting turned on?
If you can't find an easy thing, like the two above, then try a Reset of your iPad.

  • Clicker Sound on Headphones!!! I sware.

alright so in one of my previous questions i insisted that before the NEW update there used to be an option that u could have the clicker sound on ur headphones also. well that idea was shot down by a few rude users.
but last night i was just playin with my iPod without any music or videos playing before i went to sleep and icoulda sworn the i heard the clilcker sound through my headphones. so i checked my settings and the clicker was set to on: well duh. but i shoved my iPod under a blanket and continued to play with the clickwheel and noticed that it AUTOMATICALLY plays the clicksound on ur headphones!!!
no wonder that option isnt on the menu anymore because Apple has automatically added it in. Aftrer a few tests i discovered that It doesnt play on the headphones wen u have music playing.
either this was an obvious update that people havent bothered to mention or maybe im the only one who has enough time on my hands to notice sumtin like that
    =)
    enjoy!!
how many of u are gonna test this? lol

    For me, clicker=annoyance. =)

  • No Click Sounds

I noticed this evening that I do not have any clicking sounds when im typing notes or sending emails on my iphone but my speakers work for my ipod and also the ringer, i also do not hear the lock click sound when you push the on/off button I have held down the on/off button and the home button to reset but im still missing the clicking sounds, have anyone had this happen?

Well, if you did a reset as in described below, I would say a restore is your next option.
    A reset/reboot is:
    Go to Home Screen
    Press and Hold Home Button
Keep holding and press and hold Lock Button
    Keep holding Both
You will see Slide to Turn Off (Don't let go to slide, just keep holding)
The phone will turn off (in time, but screen will look like it has some white lines)
    Keep Holding
When you see the Apple Logo, you can let go.
Turning off via the Slide to Turn off while good and fine to turn off, is more like the Sleep Mode on a computer. Thus any locked up issues in memory remain when you turn back on. A reboot as described is like doing a real Turn off and Turn On on a computer.
You can also ready this thread about my opinion on when software glitches in apps seem to show up.

  • Why the click sound is not working after publishing?

    Hello all.
I have around 190-200 slides in my project. I want my mouse object to have the click sound in some slides and without click sound in rest of the slides.
Using its properties panel I have added click sound for the required slides. But after  publishing the project I am unable to hear the click sound. When I refresh the page I could hear the sound. Why does this happen?
    Regards,
    Kartik.P

    Hi,
Do you face this problem even with a single slide project? Because this seems to be working fine at our end.
Also, is it an upgraded project, single click or double click?? Does it happen only on few slides or all slides with mouse click sound.
    Thanks,
    Sikandar

  • New iMac20, strange clicking sound

    Hi,
I have had my iMac 20" MB324RS/A for about 2 week, and from first day I have strange clicking sound like a clock "tick-tock" with 2-3 sec frequency. There is no dependence between this noise and CPU/HDD/CD load etc.
I now, somebody have a troubles like this, but only when display sleepeng. My iMac have this clicking every time after "Power On" regardless of OS was loading or not.
    Sorry for my English

Well... looks like any 5400rpm drive produces such a clicking sound, even though I've never heard it on a 15" PB 1.5 Ghz et al.. The new Hitachi HD isn't as bad as the other one (Toshiba), yet the sound is still very noticeable.
Guess I got to get used to it. On the Titanium PB, the fan kicks in when charging the battery for about 15 min, so a PB 12" with a clicking HD might not that bad.
Traded a yet jet engine for a movie projector, he he he.
The display doesn't look quite as good the TiBook's and it's got a fairly poor viewing angle, yet I knew that already. Besides that, you got to love the 12" PowerBook!!! There's a significant speed increase (1.5 Ghz 1.25 GB Ram, bigger, faster HD vs. 867 Mhz, 768 MB Ram) and - thanks to DesktopManager - the smaller screen is very usable for most tasks. It's much more portable than the 15" and the best of all, all my third party (PowerPC) menu items, preference panes, Latex installation, applications work perfectly. Cloned the TiBook HD and I was up and running within 2 h, thats how long it takes to copy 40GB via FW 400.
Let Apple roll out some great Intel machines and software developers universalize their apps. In the meantime, I'm carrying around a cute little PB. Buying a PowerPC Mac today is a reasonably choice, if you're like me and need to support a bunch of Macs around you. Software reliability is another key point. Joe Average might be tempted to get a fast Macbook though.
Who knows, maybe Apple comes up with a 12" PB replacement tomorrow, which is so good, I'll be kicking myself he he he. Wish list: HD screen (without any strange lines, of course), back-lit keyboard, thinner and lighter, Core Duo.

  • Unplayable songs/ harddisk makes clicking-sounds

Some songs I downloaded from CD's are not playable anymore.
When I push the start-button my harddisk starts making clicking-sounds.
    Is this a hardwareproblem?
On my backupdisk the unplayable songs can no longer be found.

    @ Webcrasher:
Are you sure about AIFF not being able to store info about artist, genre, etc.?
Just try it out yourself: 1) Delte a AIFF-file, 2) drag it out of the carbage can to the Desktop and 3) drop it to the library. You'll see the info is still there.
The same happens if you connect an external drive with your AIFF-files to somebody elses Mac. The AIFF-files pop up in the iTunes library with all the info you need.
Normally it works this way. If AIFF-files are corrupt, like some of mine are, you won't get the info if you import them again.
