Sleep proxy Apple TV 7.0.2 not working

Since my Apple TV automatically upgraded to 7.0.2, the sleep proxy doesn't work.
Before, all my Macs (OSX 10.9,10.8 and 10.7) on my home network were displayed under Shared Devices in the Finder whether awake or Sleeping. Selecting one of the Macs automatically woke up the mac in question.
Same for iTunes Library sharing/home sharing with Apple TV: When selecting 'Computers' on the Apple TV, the Mac(s) with shared Libarries automatically woke up.
And lastly, the Apple Remote Application on iPhone/iPad showed all my home sharing devices, whether awake or not. Again selecting a sleeping device in Apple Remote automatically woke the device.
All this doesn't work anymore after the Apple TV software upgrade.
Digging a bit deeper, a Sleep Proxy is supposed to advertise itself using mDNS _sleep-proxy._udp. I don't see any of that anymore.
Is this yet again a feature silently dropped by Apple?

Did you try to go to Settings > Store, tap on Apple ID, Log out and Login again.
What message do you get when you open the App Store?

If there's a hardware defect and your phone is under warranty, bring it to Apple for replacement.

Yes, I understand that. But The screen issue is not a result of user damage. The phone was not dropped when the screen got cracked. My daughter was standing in a chair at the table and dropped one of her toys onto the bottom of the phone and cracked it right by the home button. (Nowhere near the LCD/digitizer flex cables, connections, or logic board components) then a few months later my phone had died, I plugged it in, it showed it was charging, then Apple logo disappeared and screen didn't work. AFTER contacting Apple about the issue and them telling me that it "is a result of the very minimal crack to the sheet of glass that has no relation to the LCD or Digitizer and that the warranty does not cover it I had taken it upon myself to change the LCD/digitizer to no avail, as well as backlight ic and backlight coil to no avail. But how do I go about letting Apple know that it is in fact NOT due to the cracked screen nor is it due to the flex cable connections? I can't. So the lady that works the call center phones trying to "convince" me that she knows what she is talking about and "convince" me that it is from the cracked screen I have to take her word because I can't show Apple that its not because of that without paying them $199 to fix the screen in which case they will just send me a new phone rather than fix the faulty hardware under warranty.

Knowing what you see or are experiencing can help diagnose it.
In the meantime, a common fix, hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds and see if you can force it to rebood. If you see a silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps.

Screen is frozen on apple logo and standard reset not working

All of a sudden the apple logo appeared on the screen of my 6th generation ipod classic and the standard process to reset will not work although I've attempted it numerous times. I also noticed that my ipod is not being recognized by either My Computer in Windows 7 or ITunes. I need help desperately!

So you can't the iPod to boot past the Apple logo? What happens if you try to manually force it into Disk Mode? Does that work? If so, you can try connecting it to your PC and iTunes in that mode to see if that will iTunes or your PC recognize it long enough for you to perform a restore operation.

HT204291 After updating software on my Apple TV home sharing will not work. Both Apple TV and iMac have home sharing on but when Computer is selected on Apple TV I just get a message saying "turn home sharing on". But it is. How can I solve this problem

I have just updated the software on my Apple TV since then home sharing will not work though I had not used it since installing iOS6 on my iPad 3. Home sharing is shown to be on on the Apple TV and on on my iMac. The Apple TV is connected to the router with an ethernet cable and all functions work correctly apart from my computer.
I have done the following.
Switched off the Apple TV and rebooted, did the same with iMac
Turned off home sharing then turned it on.
Checked that home sharing is on on both devices.
Selected Computer
Get a message telling me to turn home sharing on - IT IS!
Tried using airplay mirroring on the iPad but the airplay function is missing from iPad.
It is so annoying since before iOS6 and updating the Apple TV software everything worked perfectly. Any help would be very gratefully received.

hope this message finds you all in time. The recent Apple TV update 5.1 is terrible. Apple knows it is which is why (thankfully for some relentless user -I have no idea who but I believe it was under threat) they have allowed to sign 5.0.2 again which means you can downgrade your Apple TV 2 and 3 to a 5.0.2 version via iTunes. Who knows how long they will keep the window open but I have downgraded my ATV early this morning. I couldn't post this earlier because I was out all day but I am doing it now.
Here's how to do it:
1) Connect your ATV to your computer via a Mini USB (not included with ATV but included with many other electronic devices) - in order for your ATV to appear in iTunes you must FIRST plug the USB cable to your computer and ATV and only THEN plug the power cable.
2) Download your ipsw restore file from Apple.
5.0.2 (ATV 2): AppleTV2,1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw
5.0.2 (ATV 3): AppleTV3,1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw
3) In iTunes select yout ATV, hold SHIFT and click on Restore
4) Find and choose the downloaded IPSW file in the Open Dialog Box and hit Next
5) As long as Apple still signs that version the Restore process will begin and will take a few minutes to complete.

Launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account then click Edit Payment Information.
