Sleeping in 20 minutes against my will

Hello,
My MacBook is sleeping after 20/21 minutes, even though I want to listen to an iTunes' radio station while I am doing some cleaning on my home.
I go to System Preferences and put it to save energy after 1 hour and it does not obbey me.
Maybe I could fix this through the Terminal.
How could I do it?
Thanks,
Jorge Lucas (the guy from Rio Grande do Sul)

Király (and Nero),
I made the wrong question.
In the reality, my MB is not sleeping after 20 minutes: it +*logs out*+ after the 20 minutes of just playing iTunes radio station.
Your advice, Király, is the same: should I delete the file
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist?
Thanks,

my iPhone 4 has just shut down.  Rang the phone then vibrated for 2 minutes bank screen, will not turn on, also tried charging and will not charge.  Any suggestions?  I did download a ringtone app and went on to iTunes to sync!.

Try charging the iPhone via a wall socket for at least 30 minutes then try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.  Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

  • Computer is stuck in an endless loop of "this computer is scheduled for sleep in 10 minutes" it's 2 in the morning and I am afraid

My macbook pro (2014, mavericks, I would tell you what specific version but my computer is sick) started acting strangely, the brightness button failed to work and things were loading slowly before I got the first prompt that my computer would be going to sleep in ten minutes. Now the window will not go away. If I cancel the prompt, it comes right on back with a fresh count down. I can't type or do anything or access my library because that stupid window is trying to take over my life. I've restarted my computer multiple times, put it to sleep, let the timer run out, reboot it in safe mode, and none of it has worked. I'm panicking. Please I am so tired I just want to go to sleep without all this fear in my heart. Is this because daylight savings? I hear apple can't seem to wrap its head around daylight savings ?? And that a year or two ago there were folks with a similar issue but their OS allowed a lil way to the library I don't have. Can anyone help me. I am tired

I would first do a SMC and PRAM reset.  See this link:

  • When I'm on Instagram viewing pics, after about 5-10 minutes my Ipod will go blank....I tried resetting and it still do the same thing....Help!!

When I'm on Instagram for about 5-10 minutes my Ipod will go blank/reset for out of no where.  It does this consistently, please help!!!

    Try:
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
    - Contact the developer/go to their support page.
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • Screen saver puts monitor to sleep after 5 minutes regardless of settings

Within System Preferences, I have set the Energy Saver to put my display to sleep after 15 minutes of disuse—yet it goes to sleep after 5. I have tried changing the display settings to 30 minutes, 1 hour, Never, etc., and nothing works; it always goes to sleep after 5, even when I have unchecked the selection for putting the hard disc(s) to sleep when possible. Does anyone know what would be causing this or another setting I am somehow overlooking?

    try resetting PRAM

  • My password was changed against my will ...

    Hello,
I had an account. The ID is: [Redacted for privacy]
While it was opened, I saw that the password was changed against my will.
I tried to reset it, it did not work out. I knew that the password doesn't even exist, which is bizarre. I have used this acocunt for many years.
It is clear that someone has hacked it.
I need to reset it now and then get it back after getting a new protected password.
    How could I proceed?
    Thanks in advance.

I will assume you are using a slower iPhone 4 on iOS 7 if you are experiencing such problems so frequently. You might already be trying this, but my first suggestion would be to double tap the home button and see what you have running. You might not be quitting any of the apps you open. To stop an app from running and slowing down your phone, after double-tapping, slide the preview cards up for apps you don't need to run.

  • Waveburner merges regions into tracks against my will

I've been using waveburner for years and this is the first time I've had this bug where it's merging regions into CD tracks against my will. I'm using version 1.6.1. It's also got the dreaded wheel turning syndrome a lot. Thank you folks.

I've experienced this bug, and others, Jonathan. I stopped trying to drag anything in or out of folders several versions ago--just too buggy. Would be great if this functionality gets fixed, but from your report... we're still waiting.
I've found that folders work great as long as you stick to the pack and unpack feature. Too bad this is one of the many areas in which Logic claims to have more features than it does in practice...

  • Why does my mac go to sleep every 30 minutes?

When watching a film my mac logs off after every 30 minutes. I have checked my energy saver preferences and moved everything to never sleep and unchecked 'put hard disks to sleep when possible' but still it sleeps after 30 minutes of non-use.
    Is there something i'm missing?

    From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Security & Privacy ▹ Advanced... ▹ Log out after … minutes of inactivity: Off
If there's a closed padlock icon in the lower left corner of the preference pane, you may need to click it to unlock the settings. Enter your login password when prompted.
These instructions apply to OS X 10.7 or later. If you're running an older version of OS X, the preference pane may have a different name.

I own a licensed copy of LR 5.4 (downloaded) and Photoshop CS5. If I lease the LR/Photoshop combo, and later decide against it, will I still have my purchased copies of LR and Photoshop?
Also, if I lease LR, will the downloaded copy have to be started from scratch or will the pictures I already have be in it.
    Thanks

Yes. Those are perpetually licensed products with their own serial numbers. They'll keep working provided you have the hardware and operating system to run them.
Subscribing to Adobe Cloud products - including the PS + LR combo - has no effect on your ownership of your perpetually licensed products.
Also, if I lease LR, will the downloaded copy have to be started from scratch or will the pictures I already have be in it.
Lightroom is database driven via the Lightroom Catalogue.
Once you've successfully installed the subscription version, open your existing Lightroom catalogue and everything will be the same as before.

James did you find a solution? Last night my daughter put her Macbook Pro to sleep and now it won't turn on or charge? I think it is not charging because the light does not come on. We charged mine and the light came on and worked so it is clearly her computer. Help!!!

  • 3gs wont turn off or restart, but will sleep after the minute that is set on my auto-lock

Has this ever happen to any one?

You could try holding the Home button and the on/off buttonfor 10 seconds, which should do a hard reset, unless obviously you've already tried that.
Eventually the phone will run out of battery and will obviously automatically turn off. When this happens you can try and turn it on again (after plugging it in to charge) and see if the phone turns on and off ok.
