SLI clip failure, SLI mode selector card will not stay in place

Sometime overnight, the rubber clip securing my SLI mode selector card failed, and now the card won't stay seated in the socket.
Part of the clip that seats through the motherboard broke, and now I cannot use the clip at all. Where would I obtain replacements for this piece?

I have a few extra ones that came with my motherboard. they were in a little plastic pouch, did you not get any included? i would call MSI and ask them to mail you some, otherwise, i would gladly mail you a few myself.

Battery will not stay in place

My iBook battery keeps falling out, and it will not stay in place unless taped. I'm not within my 90-day warranty period, but I am within my one-year warranty period. Any advice on how I can contact a hardware specialist without paying a fee? Should I just buy a new battery?

I suppose they may help. But when my G5 started choking on memory because of a firmware update, I called. I was within the 1 yr. warranty. The Apple tech told me he couldn't help and I should take it in to an Apple authorized repair shop. That's what they're supposed to do. In the end, bring it in.

A week or so ago I upgraded some apple software and now Safari drops my news bookmarks folder. I can restore it from Time Machine but it will not stay in place. Suggestions?

My iMac, running 10.10.3 seems to have an interesting issue. Since the last round of apple updates[ including photos 1.0]safari has been dropping my "News" bookmarks folder. It disappears on restart or when trying to add a bookmark to any folder. I am able to restore it with time machine and it will stay in place until all of a sudden .I notice it is once again gone. Restore and its back. Quite a pain in the butt. Any suggestions on a more permanent fix would be appreciated.

K9n2 SLI Platinum DRAM timings will not stay

First off, I would like to say that I am posting this for my friend and that we both love MSI products. His setup is
K9n2 SLI Platinum,
Phenom 9950 140 watt black edition,
2 gigs OCz sli ready 8500 1066 1x2 kit,
BFG 8800 GTS G92 core 512mb graphics card,
and Corsair 650 watt PSU.
I don't at this time of writing have any screens, I can only explain whats going on. When he goes into BIOS and sets the Dram timings to 5.5.5.15 moves the voltage to 2.0, sets the Dram to run at 1066 which I think is 1.2.66, it reads at the top of the BIOS screen 1066. He then saves and exits reboots into windows runs CPU-z and it shows the timings have changed to 5.6.6.16, when he shuts down and goes back to BIOS it has changed there as well to the 5.6.6.16. The BIOS is the most current 3.2 also all the drivers and updates are the most recent for hardware and windows Vista home premium 32 bit. I Am trying to be as specific as possible to help you guys help us. The ram is in Dual channel Unganged. Please note it reads in CPU-z even with the 5.6.6.16 timings 1066 rather 533 DDR2 however the ram supports 5.5.5.15 in timings so I don't think that this could be good for it. We have done Memtest on the ram all test did fine we also used the windows version no errors on both test, We have not used Prime95 yet.
Any help would be great and much appreciated at this point. His computer has crashed twice, once was the Blue screen of death and the other was just a lockup. I also should mention CPU, mobo temps I think are well within specs CPU idle 37c load 45c graphics card at idle 40c load 46c. Thank you for reading Shucky.

No performace lost, instead higher efficiency like you noticed.
Think of it like this:
A pipe with a big diameter can transport a lot of fluid.
A pipe with high pressure, where things have a high speed, can transport a lot of fluid.
A pipe where the diameter is not the same in both ends. Well, you can't say how much fluid will come out the other end, at least not without a lot of calculating and testing. (Like you also noticed. :D )
What is a pity is that program(mer)s have difficulties making use of all the cores. Phenom have four true cores. I think it will take about two years until all four can be put to full use, but if there ever is any real use in using all four cores is hard to say and a different question.
Sure AMD and Intel and Microsoft et al have found ways of distributing processor work, but they are far from optimized. And it isn't easy: Think of the project your work group got from your chief or teacher: How many should be involved? Or if you are 300 people in your dorm, or even just four of you in your family, should all help out with the washing up after supper?
No, is the best answer to that. So what has begun is developing processors, with a variety of cores. One may - as a silly example - make icons until or unless it can do better work somewhere else. - Not an easy thing making it do tasks like that, either! So that is why I did the washing up just now.

CF card will not stay ejected

How come when I eject a cf card on my macbook and my new iMac, before I can remove it the card re-mounts. I don't have time to pull the card out and I always get a warning. It does this on both my computers. Any ideas? I am running Tiger on my macbook and leopard on my iMac.

Yes, that is necessary. Also leave only one HDD temporary where you planing to install your OS, when installation is done then attach your other HDD(s).

No need to be wiped, only Windows re-installation.

I've installed Mavericks on my Mac Pro. It works well, generally, but will not stay sleeping! Pressing the power button twice sometimes extends the sleep mode but even that seldom results in a full overnight sleep. File sharing off. What else can help?

I've done all of these, even trying a different USB port, and still, nothing. This is really confusing. Windows 8.1 said something to do with USB malfunction or something and nothing works. I need to restore my iPhone quickly and nothing has happened. My cable is not genuine Apple product. iTunes makes the noise that it makes when I connect the device, but it doesn't say 'iPhone is in recovery mode' or even say 'iPhone' in the corner. I am really fed up and would really appreciate a response.

HT4628 I did the security update on 4-2-13 and now my airport card will not turn on. OS 10.6.8 Intel imac 4,1 core duo. My macbook pro did not have this issue and wifi here is working on that. Is there a setting that was changed? Thank you!

Airport card will not turn on after security update yesterday. worked normally (for the download of the update) until then. Wifi here works fine with my Macbook Pro right now so the issue is with the card / computer / software not the provider. Did the update change something?

First, there are no Mac viruses in the wild.
recently random sites have had a warning message thing come up that looks like a Norton Anti-virus telling me to run my browser in 'safe' mode or something.
So far it hasn't really done anything malicious, but I'd like to stop it before it does.
The file is an .exe file and unless you are running a Windows partition on your Mac, the Mac OS X cannot open those files. You're OK! If you are running Windows then you would need anti virus software, but it would be installed on the Windows partition, not the Mac OS X.
Nothing to be worry about. They are trying to get your to purchase anti virus software. Norton a/v for a Mac is the worst thing you could install. It's invasive and impossible to UNinstall.
