I got a z77gd65 motherboard and i put my video cards in the pcie2 (1st slot) and pcie 7 (3rd slot) but i cant enable sli, but when i put it in the pcie2 (1st) and pcie 5 (2nd) slot i can run
i wanna run it on pcie2(1st slot) and pcie7 (3rd slot) becuase it creates and bigger gap between the cards for more airflow...
any help
my bios is v10.3

E2 and E7 for SLI is most likely not going to work. E2 will run 8X and E7 would run 4X. Test each VGA by itself in slot E2, find the hotter running of the two and put it in the E5 slot. Due to lane limitations, E7 is for the most part useless when configuring in SLI.

If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this. It might help.

Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. All H.264 files (assuming they are H.264 level 4.1 or lower) are compatible with the built-in Videos app.

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. Hi, I'm working with PCI-6052 for bufered data output and PCI-6601 for read two encoders at same time, when I work with single board I don't have problems but when I work both simultaneously I have a problem only I can out data or only I can read the encoders but not both at the same time. You probably have one task in LabView running in series after the other. Both of these tasks require a loop. Your buffered data output needs to be written in continuous fashion in a loop (I believe) and your encoder measurements are being read constantly as well (should be in a loop). Try experimenting with these two suggestions.
I would copy both programs into 1 VI and keep them running completely separate. LabView will be able to assign each a different thread so they should be able to run completely in parallel. Therefore you would have 2 parallel loops that are not connected at all.
You can also create two completely different VIs and run them in parallel. There is no reason why the two different programs would interfere.

I need to move my Audigy2 sound card to another PCI slot and...

Hello everyone , hope everyone is doing well today. (and everyday!)
As the topic says I need to move my PCI Audigy2 card down slot , got a new BFG 6800 Ultra and need to make some room.
My question is how should this be done with as little trouble as possable , I really want to (if possable) avoid at all costs an XP reinstall.
I think if I try to remove the card through DM then shut down and move the card to another slot and then start the PC (I have my BIOS set to plug and Play OS) it should detect it and reinstall it in the other slot. But with IRQ problems being what they are , all that should be sometimes isn't.
I have once before tried to remove all creative drivers , then uninstall the card and move it to another slot on another system (NForce chipset) and wound up doing a major reinstall because it would not see the card , but I have an ASUS K8V SE Dlx (VIA Chipset) now and it seems to be a more trouble free board than Nvidia.
Well thats about all I have for now , if anyone has ever doen this before I would really appreciate any help/tips before I take the plunge.

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
Install iTunes on the new computer.
Launch iTunes on the new computer. Everything in iTunes will be exactly as it was on the old computer.

My iphone cut off while using itunes and now it wont work. it cuts on and off and it wont restore.

while putting music on my iphone from itunes my iphone suddenly cut off. it wouldnt come back on unless hooked up to charger and even then it turns on and off.. i have tried restoring it but it wont work. it actually restored once but it just started doing the same thing within an hour. every other time it errors out. what can i do?

If you have already tried restoring the iPhone, then the next troubleshooting step to address this issue would be to try putting the phone into recovery mode and attempting a restore from there. I have an article for you that can help you perform these steps:

HT1551 Atv3 doesnt want to finish installing update although ive tried several times, now the remote wont work with it either and when I press the remote the light on the box flashes several times, I unplugged everything but nothing works and I cant reset

my Atv3 is due for an update and ive tried several times to install it but although it downloads it never finishes installing and tells me that it wasnt possible to update and to try another time. I try every other day and it only inches forward in the progress but it never completes the installation. I was tired of waiting and I decided to keep on trying in a period of time one night until it would finally install, that never happened and Im not sure what is going on but the remote stopped working with the atv3 and when I press a button the box light flashes several times but does nothing, ive disconnected it and left it that way for over 24 hrs, ive disconnected everything (tv, internet etc) and nothing. I cant reset the atv3 through the remote either...i dont know what else to do

Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!

yea I am going to get some better fans, but as far as flow in the case it is full size and has ample room, I think that the side panel fan is just a bit weak. I'll get the case open and see what happens. Thanks for pointing me in a direction.

Scanner Wont Work....And I cant figure out how to trouble shoot

I have been using this printer-copier-fax-scan-web for over 2 years. No issues whatsoever. I installed the info on it when I first bought it and no problems installing.
The printer is wireless.
Today was the first time it would not scan. I tried to troubleshoot by checking if I had connectivity. I did. So the only thing I can figure out is that it has to be the lack of an OCR application.
What is OCR and where do I find those settings? I have looked everywhere.
I touch Icons to scan:
1) Scan
2)to computer
3) Jacquie's computer
4)Save as a PDF
5)start Scan
The error message I keep getting on my computer monitor is: An error occurred while scanning
On the printer: it says the scan was unsuccessful because of
1) Connection to the computer is lost
2) The scan application on the computer is currently in use
3) OCR application is not installed on the computer
Since I know the first 2 arent the problem. I figure it is the OCR------which I havent figured out what that is.
I have been scanning to a USB device and then uploading up to my computer to work around but it is driving me nuts.
Any help would be awesome. Thank you.

I understand that you're experiencing a scan issue when attempting to scan from your wireless HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer to your computer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue.
The OCR software that the printer is referring to is the HP Scan software. OCR is specific to PDF scans. Therefore, to ensure that the HP Software is functioning on your computer can I please have you click here to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Once the download is complete please allow the Tool to Run. When prompted select the 'fix scanning' option. The HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will run on your computer and look for any driver, software, or connectivity conflicts. If any conflicts are found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
Once the Tool has completed please test scanning again.
If the scanning issue persists, can you please include your Operating System in your next post so I can provide accurate step-by-step troubleshooting to assist you with resolving this issue.

New itunes wont work on my G5 and now i cant backup my devices

Ok, i litterally just found out a few min ago that i need the latest and gratest itunes to even sync my devices (iphone 4) how am i to sync my phone? I have apps on it which require physically connecting them to my computer. Any ideas out there? i can still sync my ipad but it has IOS 5.1.1. If i cant sync my phone im just going to have to go back to IOS 5.1.1.

If you have an iPhone5 you have to use iTunes 10.7. If you have anything else, especially older equipment even with iOS6, you can use iTunes 10.6.3 which will run on a G5.

Remember with an older computer you will find more and more hardware and software will not work with it. You should pay attention to system requirements before updating anything or buying new components.

Get's stuck, wont work, have to close and reopen all the time. Like the program is frozen, and I can not click on anything.

just started after updating to newest firefox. I will go on my email, check out what's going on and then when I try to click on another email it stops working, and my hand icon gets bright and transparent as if to tell me this program is locked or frozen. I close, reopen, works fine for a few emails, and then does it again. very frustrating. I was fine with the old firefox, can i get it back?

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Back buttons wont work on Canon 70D and images wont display - help!

Hi guys. so i was shooting at tthe beach with my cannon 70d, i took some 2" long exposures with flash on then my camera shutter started to lag and the camera would say "busy" alot. after a few pictures the back buttons on my camera stopped working (like delete, menu, options and such) and the images i took would not display on the screen. my hands were a bit wet while i was holding the camera but shoud that be an issue since it is weather sealed? please let me know what to do.

There may be nothing wrong with your camera.
You mention taking long exposures with it. If you had Long Exposure Noise Reduction enabled, that will cause a delay and "busy" warning. The way LENR works is right after you take your shot, the camera automatically takes a second shot of the same duration, with the shutter closed. This "blank" shot is then used to determine where noise is occuring and that data is used to "subtract" the noise from the first shot. While the second "blank" shot is being made the camera is in "busy" mode. If your first shot was 2 seconds, then the camera will show "busy" for another 2 seconds while LENR takes the second shot. If your first exposure was 30 seconds, then there will be an additional 30 second busy period, etc. You can cancel the second shot from happening by turning the camera off, but doing so will delete both the original shot and the second "blank" shot. To prevent LENR from automatically operating, it can be turned off in the camera's menu. With it off, your images will typically show more digital "noise" as a result, of course, so you should plan to apply some noise reduction later during post-processing.
Another possibility, you mention using flash. There are a lot of variables, but it's also possible the camera was showing "busy" while the flash was recycling (recharging, if you will). If using the built-in flash in particular, the duration of recycling can be slower than it would be with an external, self-powered flash. This is because the built-in relies upon the camera's main battery for power. As the power level of that battery is reduced, the duration of recycling will grow longer.
Also when using flash, after a certain number of "pops" are done within a certain time period, most flashes have a protection featyre to prevent them from overheating, by stopping any additional flashes for a while, giving the flash time to cool off.
If you merely touched the camera with wet hands, it's possible but not certain that the dampness might have damaged the camera in some way. Essentially, some water has to intrude into the circuitry and cause the camera to short out to cause a problem. The 70D has some sealing and resistance, though maybe not as much as more high end cameras. But no Canon DSLR is completely waterproof, either. I'd be particularly careful if changing memory cards or lens or batteries, not to let water get inside. But I've gotten soaked in a sudden, heavy downpour while carrying a pair of older and less well sealed 30Ds without any problem. Once I got to shelter I turned the cameras off, removed all the batteries & memory cards, removed the lens and propped open the memory card & battery doors, then let them sit to dry for a several days. Both worked just fine afterward.
Unless the camera gets splashed with water... or dunked in it... it's rare for water to get inside. I think it unlikely to happen merely because your hands were wet. But, it only takes a single drop in just the wrong place, so I'm not entirely ruling it out as a possibility, either.
Salt water is worse than fresh water. The salt increases the waters conductivity and is corrosive too. If the outside of the camera got wet from your hands, you might want to wipe it down with a lightly dampened, lint free rag or a pre-moistened "monitor wipe" or similar, just to be sure that any salts or minerals are removed. Stay off the optics of the lens and viewfinder, though. If those need cleaning too, use lens cleaning procedures instead.
I do not recommend putting a camera in rice to dry it out, other than extreme emergencies. Rice gives off dust, which can intrude places you don't want it and make for problems too. Better is to use some sort of dessicant in a package that prevents dust... a lot of people who shoot in humid environments will keep a package of dessicant in their camera bag. For example: 40gm dessicant in aluminum tin with indicator. This can be dried in an oven at low heat and reused over and over. It has a "saturation" indicator on it.
Prevention is the best solution. I recommend getting some sort of protective cover for your camera if you will be using it at the beach a lot. Not just to keep water off it, but also sand can cause problems if it finds it's way into some of the camera's nooks and crannies. There are raincovers you can purchase, or you can simply make one out of a plastic bag, some gaffer or duct tape and rubber bands. For really wet work very close to surf or right in the water, there are fully sealed underwater housing ranging from relatively inexpensive, heavy duty plastic bags that might serve near the surface, to diving rigs that can be used doen to 100 feet or more depth, but cost a whole heck of a lot more. These also often limit the lenses you can use with the camera, and might require special flashes be used.

My home button wont work on iphone 4 and it can not charge and shuts off at random times, what do i do?

For some time now my iphone shuts off randomly or does not charge but as i woke up this morning, my iphone did not charge the previous night and would not reconize any charger. continuosly trying, the home button suddenly stopped working! this is a nightmare whats wrong with my phone?!
P.S. I changed the color of my phone (the glass back) will apple still fix it for me?

Apple wouldn't replace it. Since you replaced your rear glass im assuming you know a little something on how to open the iPhone. Go ahead and order a new Charge port flex cable (it runs the home button as well) Unless the home button has damaged under the "dome" you wouldnt need to replace that cable unless you really have too.

Itunes v5 and greater wont work. why? error and crash

I have unistalled and cleaned my registry free of all itunes and quicktime files and still nothing works. Which is not good because I have many days of AAC files. previous version of itunes have always worked fine.
Any ideas or am I stuck waiting for the next itunes release with tones of AAC files that cant be played?

I do wonder though, why did it work with the SA version of QT, when the itunes download comes with QT?
i'm speaking as a "technical journalist" rather than a "software installation engineer". (i have been the former, i've never been the latter.)
as i understand it, the odds of running into an installation error (of any software package) increase when you've got two separate installs "chained together". that's what we've got going on with the itunes-5.0x/QT-7.0.2 installer bundle.
in additon, more things seem to interfere with QT 7.0.2 installs than QT 6.5.2 installs. (QT 6.5.2 came in the itunes 4.9 installer bundle.)
those two factors taken together raise the chances of the QT part of the 5.0.x/7.0.2 install going wrong by comparison with the 4.9/6.5.2 install.
basically, i'm just doing what we did on itunes 4.9 installs when things got sticky in certain ways. i try to run the itunes and QT installs separately. i just have to advise people to do that more frequently than i did with 4.9.
