Slicers and lost formatting in pivotchart

Hi!
Here is an exemple where I filter my pivot table and chart with slicers. When I filter on "Sedan", I lose the formatting because there is
no data for "Sedan" in "Location B" and in "Year 2013".
I found this but it's a workaround that's pretty hard to use in my real model.

I saved a template to get my formatting back but that's not nice if you share the results with your boss and have to explain that he has to use a
saved template every the formatting is lost!

1) Partition your hard drive or add an external drive and install Snow Leopard (with the Optional Rosetta) into it and then you can dual-boot (System Preferences:Startup Disk) into Snow Leopard and run FCE 3.5 there.

Hi, my mum re formated her computer and lost my itunes. I know want to create a new iTunes but have lost the cd to set it up. I've created a new itunes through the website but cannot install smart sound and when i plug my ipod in it says I have to sync my ipod. i don't know what to do! Please help.

I'm sorry, I'm not following your response. If you mother has iTunes on her computer and you want to add your music back, you can use the article links I provided above to transfer your music from your iPod back to your mother's computer.
If you have Windows XP and internet explorer 7 you can get rid of the downloads you don't want to install by going to Start>Then right click on Internet at the top of your first column.
When the menu opens, choose Properties. On the first tab, click on Delete under Browsing History. When the next box opens Click on Delete Files next to the Temporary Internet Files box. That should clean out your temporary folder where these downloaded files are being stored.
Regarding your question about Windows Media--this forum is for iTunes users. If you have questions about Windows Media you'll have to go to the Microsoft forums.
Smartsound isn't an Apple product either, so you'll have better luck getting advice in a more specific discussion forum.

If it has been wiped clean then you will not be able to locate it, it will be essentially a new iPhone.

Lost format in Appleworks -- user error

Hello. I'm stumped by a problem I'm sure I inadvertently created. While becoming acquainted with Font Book, I managed to trash all the fonts, an embarrassment for someone who started years ago with a 512K Mac. I rescued them, dumped them back in the fonts folder in the hard drive library.
I have a huge number of files in Appleworks. Some of the documents consist of a word processing document with an overlay draw grid. Since the font fiasco, I have lost the formatting of these documents and can't seem to recover it. Hopefully there's something simple rather than redoing each one separately but so far not so good since I can't seem to reformat even one successfully. The font is Helvetica 14. I used a mix of single and 1 1/2 line spacing (all have reverted to single space) but now nothing I do to the document allows the words to line within the grid as they did. The decimal tabs no longer function as decimal tabs but have decided to become centering tabs. The grid itself has not changed a whit, it's as though Helvetica 14 suddenly became a different size -- I have older copies of some of the documents on my old computer for comparison and to confirm my settings.
Can anyone offer any help?

I believe I have solved my problem. I copied the Helvetica font from my old computer (which actually was a newer version of the font) and installed that on my current machine. All Appleworks documents described previously regained their former and proper formatting. When comparing the old good printed documents to the new printed lost formatted documents, the Helvetica 14 was definitely larger than the Helvetica 14 I'd been using which changed everything not only in length but height. Thanks to anyone poised to answer but I think I'm safe for now. I'm still puzzled as to how Helvetica grew but at least I'm back in business.

Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

CD's can only be played on PC's or Mac's (obviously). If they contained music in them, they will have to be downloaded over again. What is best to do for further problems ike this is to put those songs on a big external hard drive at about 500GB for $60. They work very well and they are time saving. Putting in multiple CD's into one big hard drive will work well. Unless you have the songs on your computer with another music player like Windows Media Player for Windows XP - 7, you do not have to do all those CD downloads. If you have them on your computer do this: File>> Add File to iTunes the drag a big box around most of the music songs and they will be uploaded.

Also, iTunes will only allow you to transfer PURCHASES to it. Follow this advice^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^....!!!!!!

I opened an older catalog and lost the original catalog with over 2 years of photos on it (I never opened any other catalogs---I never chose to back it up either). it is not saved anywhere I can see as a catalog on my computer. If I didn't save it before opening the older catalog ( I don't specifically remember saving anything) would it be save in another format other than a catalog somewhere?

What happens if you choose File->Open Recent? Is the other catalog listed, and can you choose it? Simply switching to a different catalog should not cause the previous catalog to disappear.

Have you opened Disk utility and formatted it? Most new HDDs come formatted for Windows, not Mac.

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them. You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.

I recently updated my iPhone 4s to ios6, and lost 1200 odd contacts. I have a backup from about 4-5 months ago avaiable. Can I add/update contacts from the back up rather than restore which i assume will literally delete any new contacts added...?

I have a backup from about 4-5 months ago available on an external hdd as a time machine backup. Can I add/update contacts from the back up rather than restore? The reason i wish to do this is because in the update i didnt lose any messages, so all of the people i have met and networked with since that last update those many months ago, i have in my messages listings. They are all unidentified numbers at present but over time i will be able to work through the messages and based on the conversation recall who each was with. Also, yesterday, some two weeks after the update had left my contacts list entirely empty... a vast majority just reappeard, though all of them are without any phone numbers, all just emails or facebook contacts. This is the work of facebook not mac/ios6 isnt it...? Any help here would be greatly apprecaited. I am about 2 days from flying to canada and having those contacts would make life a lot easier.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

i recently did an up grade on my ipod touch and lost all of my music (1700 songs). all of my music wason my ipod. i have an external hard drive with most of my songs (1400 songs) on it. through playing around and just trying to fiquire it out, i managed to get the music from the external hard drive to my ipod touch. the problem that i just found out is that i cant play those songs from my computer unless my iopd is connected to the computer. when i try to play a song, it gives me thiserror message " THIS SONG CAN NOT BE USED BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL FILE COULD NOT BE FOUND. To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

i have one aspx page in which i have embeded an swf object,
which calls webservice to load data,
it works fine on localhost,
but when uploaded it gives the error no 2032 stream error ,
i added the crossdomain.xml in the root project then that error was gone and found the following error,
"unable to load wsdl. if currently online please verify the uri and or format of the wsdl"
Can anybody help me with this?

I had the same error message and I believe I added the -use-network=true to the additional compiler arguments to fix the problem. The default value for this should be true.
Sorry if this doesn't help...It's just a guess.
