All I can see is how to make all slides have the same duration

Slide durations are not changeable on a slide-by-slide basis.

The best way I could think of and what we implemented is:
Creatin a DB Lock Object around data which you want to work upon.
Requesting a lock when some one opens up a session for editing, if granted then go in edit mode else go in display\ read only mode with a message.
Release lock after save.

How to stream one table twice (with different names) in another schema ?

hello guys,
i have to replicate one table (TAB_1) from one schema (SCH_1) on source database (DB_1) twice to schema (SCH_2) on target database (DB_2) with two different names (TAB_1 and TAB_1_SHORT). TAB_1_SHORT on target db should be a subset (eg. WHERE STATUS = 1) of TAB_1 !
how to do ? can anyone help me ?
i tried to realize that this way:
1) creating 1 capture process with 1 table rule on source db (without any subset rules to capture all changes) for table TAB_1
2) creating a propagation process without any rules
3) creating 1 apply process with a table rule for table TAB_1 without any subset_rule but with schema transformation from SCH_1 to SCH_2 (DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.RENAME_SCHEMA) => this works correct !
4) creating a subset_rule (WHERE STATUS = 1), a schema transformation from SCH_1 to SCH_2 (DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.RENAME_SCHEMA) and a tablename transformation from TAB_1 to TAB_1_SHORT (DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.RENAME_SCHEMA) for table TAB_1_SHORT => doesn`t work, no errors posted in dba_apply_error !
in another try, i tried to transform the table- and the schemaname in the capture process, with the effect, that my first table TAB_1 wouldn`t be streamed again.
i`m not sure, what is wrong. i think it must be possible to stream a table to two different targettables in the same schema on another db, isn`t it ?

Adding a normal table rule and also a subset rule would not work since the rule would be evaluated only once in the positive rule set. If the normal rule is evaluated first then the subset rule and rest of the rules would not be evaluated at all hence this would not work.
This can be done using either of the following methods:
Method 1:
     1. Use the declarative transformation on the capture/apply and rename the schema from SCH_1 to SCH_2.
     2. Now, on the apply site, set a DML Handler for SCH_2.TAB_1
     3. In DML Handler perform the following:
          a. get the column value for STATUS
          b. check if the value for STATUS=1, if yes then modify the object name to TAB_1_SHORT and execute the LCR.
          c. else do not modify the object name (leave it as it is, TAB_1) and execute the LCR.
Method 2:
     1. Add a DML Handler for SCH_1.TAB_1
     2. In the DML Handler perform:
          a. use set_object_owner method of LCR$_ROW_RECORD to rename the owner to SCH_2
          b. get the column value for STATUS
          c. check if the value for STATUS=1, if yes then modify the object name to TAB_1_SHORT and execute the LCR.
          d. else do not modify the object name (leave it as it is, TAB_1) and execute the LCR.

The names are for your benefit. The devices are identified by serial number in iTunes. iTunes knows which device is which no matter what you name the devices. It works the same way with iCloud. How to make one dvd from several camcoder dvd's. I got a dvd camcoder, to be able to play them into DVD player I had to finalize my disks. Now I got several DVD's whith short files and terrible custom camera menu. I'd like to make it more presentable.
The main problem is I dont want to recode my vob files. So Final Cut and other editing soft is bad idea.
Is there any soft on mac I could reauthor my DVD's?

No, Apple does not take trade ins. Your carrier may have different polices regarding trade ins. Best to contact them about it.

i will make the partions at a 250gb raid. one with 120gb for the bootsector, and the other for documents, etc.

O.K., i was looking the hole day to get that partions on a raid working.
to make the partions on each HD with the same volume, this is no problem. when you then create the first raid, works fine. but when you make the second raid, you get a massage, that this raid is not found.
then you see both raids at the disc utilty, but only at the first you seen the volumen down under, by the second not. the first works, the second is not avabiele.
so, now i have only one big mirrowed raid for my boot sector, and its runs fast, quick and without big noise... thats what i want, and the second big raid for my files.
2 raids at one mac pro with 4 hd. one with 2 x 250 gb hd for the bootsector, and the other with 2 x 500gb for files

SQL Query (updateable report) - Can't figure out how to make one

Hi folks,
Can someone tell me how to make a report where the data can be updated? Not an interactive report, a SQL report that selects only one row. The only options in the drop down I see are "SQL Query" and "SQL Query (PL/SQL function body returning SQL query)", but I have a report elsewhere that says it's type is "SQL Query (updateable report)", but I can't remember how to do it :(

100GB seperated in 2x50GB - How to make one 100GB HDD?

Yesterday I bought my Toshiba Satellite A100-225. This notebook has an 100 Gb harddisk. But when I go to 'This/My computer' I see two harddisks. The C: and D: harddisk are both 50 Gb. But I would like to have just one 100 Gb. I have heard a little bit about partitions.
Could my harddisk be partitioned? How can I make one 100 Gb harddisk of it? Is this advisable to do? I hope somebody could help me further.

As far as I know all newer Toshiba notebooks are delivered with partitioned HDD. In my opinion you should leave it and use second (D) partition for data saving. In the case that operating system crashes you can delete just partition C and use it for new installation.
Expert mode installation on recovery DVD allows you to install recovery image on defined partition. If you have just one partition and something goes wrong the whole content will be lose.
The 100 GB is enough space and it can also be split on three partitions where the first one (C) will be used for OS and installation of different applications and other two just for data saving.
I dont know how you want to organize it but you can do what you want. Very useful tool for HDD partitioning is Partition Magic.
