Slide show on my iPad

I would like to use images I have in iPhoto on my Mac for a slide show that I can show on my iPad.
How do I do this?

You can sync photos to the iPad from iPhont on your Mac by connecting the iPad to your computer's iTunes and selecting it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and then on the right-hand side selecting the Photos tab. There is a bit more info on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 . You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad.

Slideshows on the iPad (or on any handheld device) do not support titles, only the slideshows in iPhoto on the Mac do that.

I have just moved a special iPhoto slideshow to my iPad.
Export the Slideshow to Movie, drop into Movies on iTunes. iTunes > Advanced > Create iPad version > Sync iPad..

Select your iPad under the devices heading on the left. Then click on the Photos tab in the iTunes window on the right. You can select the folder from which you want to sync your photos in the drop down menu bar - so select iPhoto there. Then select the album or events that you want to sync from the windows below. After you have made your selections, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
I am not sure how the iPad will handle a slide show in the photos app that was created on your Mac. You can create basic slide shows on the iPad using the different albums, events or faces that you have in the Photo app, but as for the captioning that you have already set up, I don't know how that will work in the app when you sync the slide show.

Currently, the order in which the phone numbers appear (in a contact) is dependent on the sequence to which you enter them. There is no way to change that order other than re-entering them in the desired order.

Making new photo albums and slide shows

Is there a way to make new photo albums or slides shows on the iPad? I wish to organize photos and create slide shows while I am on the road, away from my sync computer.

The only way you could do this would be to first delete all photos in your Saved Photos album and then add the ones you want to use in your slide show one at a time (each photo you add is placed after the one previously added). Currently, by using the iPad alone with no third party apps, the only way to add photos to the Saved Photos album is either from Safari (touch and hold an image until the "Save image" dialogue comes up) or from email. On the iPhone originally, this was where photos you took with the camera went. Without the camera, it's left a bit stranded on the iPad.
The other "Photo Library" album is changeable only through an iTunes sync. If you put all the photos you want to use in your slideshows there, you could email them to yourself and then put them in the Saved Photos album one at a time. But that's awfully tedious and you can only have one Saved Photos album available at a time, so you'd have to do that with every slideshow you wanted. Not much use, I admit.
Until Apple improves the photo app on the iPad, it's not at all a versatile or very useful thing.

Well I guess you can press cmd + shift + 3 to take a picture of your whole screen or cmd + shift + 4 to take a picture of a selected area, that will create a file called "screen shot yyyy-mm-dd at hh:mm:ss.jpg" on your desktop then you just select those files and drag them into iPhoto.

When I travel for business I like to try to just bring my iPad and no laptop. I need to be able to project some slides (could be .ppt or .pdf). I have Chromecast installed and working on the TV. I also have the latest "free" version of Powerpoint on my iPad. I do not pay for the MS360 subscription at this time - I only use it to view slides as needed and edit on laptop. Series 3 iPad with latest software.
1) Is there a way to project a slide show to a projector or TV using Chromecast in conjunction with either Dropbox or Powerpoint, on the iPad?

Image vibrations in display slide show on iPad and Apple TV

I am using iPhoto 11 to create slide shows. I use the standard export option for I wish to run the same movie on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Running the slide show in iPhoto the quality is good, however on iPad and Apple TV some of the images become very unstable and vibrate or shake for some seconds.

Rentals are one-time only downloads, they will not show on other devices/computers for redownloading.
