Slide show template?

I am trying to design a slide show to place in an existing page on a website.
Looks like there are supposed to be templates within adobe flash pro cs4 (which I have), but I don't seem to have them.
Anyone know where I can find a good one?  I just want fading images with thumbnails below.
I could use bridge to create it, but those don't start on load... and I want this to start on load.
I am pretty good with dreamweaver and photoshop, but have limited experience with flash.
THANKS!!!

Hi Sisilla,
I was just thinking that if you need to get a nice slideshow
with effects going on your website quickly you could use another
program that specializes in just that. There are lots of
these Flash slideshow programs that you can download. Here is one..
http://www.amarasoftware.com/flash-slide-show.htm
(I never tried it myself) If you put "Flash slideshow maker"
in a google search you will see there are lots of em.
Also, other Flash creation programs like SwishMax have
built-in transition effects that you can use. It is much easier
than trying
to do the same thing in Adobe Flash. You could get your
slideshow going quicker since it takes longer to learn Adobe Flash.

  • Modifying Photo Slide Show Template

    Hello All,
I've never used Flash before, and I don't know any
ActionScript. I am using Flash 8 Professional on Windows XP
Professional. I believe my problem is fairly simple to solve, but I
have not been able to find any information on the Internet. I would
greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
I am using the Photo Slide Show template, and I would like to
add transition effects to it. Is this possible? If so, how would I
go about doing it? Please help me. I appreciate your time and
    consideration.
    Thanks,

  • Using Photo slide show template

  • Customizing a Slide Show Template

While uploading a slide show to share with friends on the Photoshop website I picked the birthday template from the occasions list.  As this was a 1st birthday I changed the candle count to just 1.  Now that I have customized the template I don't know how to save it.  When I look at it online it still has the default 10 candles.  Can anyone tell me how to save the template after I customize it?

I changed the default birthday cake to one candle and clicked on done.  It still comes up online with ten candles.

  • Lightroom Slide Show

I do all the web work for our SCI chapter members. I use Lightroom for all the photos I get and put them up on the web. Most all the members love the slide shows I do with Lightroom.
My question is: I get photos is all sizes, either in JPG or Raw, what is the best size to start with so I do not lose any photo quality?
Do I resize them down to 200K, 100K or keep them at 1250K or larger. The major problem with the Lightroom Slide show is that when you export it to the web site it has four folders of photos. Large, Med, Small and Thumb. There are sometimes I do 50 to 200 photos at a time. That is a lot of Mb uploaded to the server. Any way to get around this problem.
    Thanks,
    Mike J S

    Post-Script:
I am fairly well versed in Lightroom though it is entirely possible that color labels and flag status can be added to a slide show template through some means unknown to me. With that said, I am open to being educated should someone know how to do it... feel free to educate me (-:

  • Movie clip slide show

Hello! I am placing the slide show template from Flash CS3
inside of a movie clip, but it is not working! I’ve exhausted
any ideas I had during the past 8 hrs! I’ve even tried using
other slide shows, but no luck! What I am trying to do is, once a
button is clicked from the home page (the site has only 1 scene), a
movie clip slides in, holding a slide show… Is this possible?
Would you be able to direct me to a tutorial or give me an idea of
    what I am doing wrong?
    I really appreciate your help!
    Thanks!

I wasn't sure what was meant with the mention of a slideshow
template, but I finally figured it out I think... When you want to
open a new file in Flash CS3, the offerings at the far right
involve a number of templates, one of which is a slideshow
template. I opened it up, managed to open the timeline, and I don't
think it involves any kind of classes, none I could find anyways,
and it appears to be written in AS2.
So I imagine it would be useable as is. It's a basic frame by
frame piece, no dynamic loading. And it otherwise has all the
controls (buttons) that one would need, which could save some time
if tyou wanted to try to create your own.
It's possible there's just some error in how it was brought
in or something... I would just copy its maintimeline frames into a
movieclip in the new file and try to work it from there. One
potential problem is that because it is written in AS2, and it uses
_root references, it may not feel at home when it's placed in a
movieclip on its own. So you probably need to look into the code
and make some adjustments for that kind of stuff.
If the main file is an AS3 file, then you will need to change
the slideshow to AS3 as well if it's gonna live in the same file.
You could save it as a separate swf in AS2 and load it into an AS3
file during run time, but you still may need to modify the _root
    references to be _parent types.

  • Lightroom 3 Slide Show Quality Issues Anyone?

I am experiencing slideshow quality issues with LR 3.2 using Canon 5D MKII 21 Mp RAW files. My Canon Digital Rebel 6 Mp RAW files produced high-quality slideshow PDFs using LR1 and LR2. The 5DMKII RAW files produce soft PDF imaging, regardless of preview rendering or slide show export settings in LR3, and I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING! I then went back and tried doing a LR3.2 slideshow PDF with my Digital Rebel 6Mp files and they are much higher resolution, regardless of the settings in LR 3.2 – The exact opposite of my 5DMKII slideshows. Go figure, the 6Mp images are superior in LR 3 slideshow than the 21Mp 5DMKII images!
I developed a simple work around that improves the quality of slideshow PDFs when using larger Mpixel file images:
    1)      Select the images you want use for your slideshow and export them to JPEG, sRGB, 80-100% Quality, Resize to fit: 1536 x 1024 Resolution, NO Output Sharpening
    2)      Import the 1536 x 1024 JPEG files and place them into a collection, sort their order, and add caption or title information if needed.
    3)      Open the collection in Slideshow Module and select a template you like, or create your own custom template.
    4)      Play the slideshow and let it create previews when prompted. Adjust slideshow template settings until happy with the layout.
    5)      When finished with the slide show template, save as it as a ‘New Template’ for future use.
    6)      Next select ‘Export PDF Slideshow,’ Quality 80-100, Width 1600, Height 1200, and Save.
    7)      View the slideshow ‘Full Screen’ in PDF reader. It should have much higher resolution than normal slideshow export when using > 8 Mp files.
It takes a few extra steps, but not much additional time to create slideshows using this method.
Adobe must be aware of this problem, and probably does not apply sharpening to files >8Mp for PDF slideshow export to correct for over sharpening of Portrait images. This is just a guess! If you export RAW images to full size JPEGs and use these JPEG files to create a PDF slideshow, the Portrait images will look over-sharpened in Adobe reader! Using my work around process, the landscape and portrait images appear fairly uniform in sharpness, even though the portrait images are 2/3 the resolution of the portrait images ( 1024 x 683 versus 1536 x 1024). This is one of the issues Adobe needs to correct with the Slideshow Module PDF Export program module.
That must be hard to do! Let’s see, who is the developer of Acrobat and PDF format…Oh I forgot it’s ADOBE! As a 45-year veteran of the computer technology industry I've seen worse things, but this is very disappointing when you consider Lightroom is now a “mature” version 3 generation program! Yes, Separate slideshow programs are available, but why should you need to use one if all you want is “basic” slideshow capability!

After much trial and error I discovered using the 'Widescreen' template provided in the slideshow module provides very sharp imaging for PDF export. I haven't tried video export, but I would assume it is similar. I cannot explain why this is, because even when I change the guides from 0px to say 60px (i.e. no longer widescreen fill) the images are sharper than using any other template.
Try using 'Widescreen' template. Then try adjusting the guides using 'Widescreen’ template, and save as a new user template. I have no idea why it makes a difference, but it does!

  • Using The Slide Show As A Template

    Hello Everyone.
I have created a Slide Show. It contains 20 Images, and I have applied Different Effects and Different Transforms. Such as Opacity, and Scale.
I would like to use this Slide Show for my next Photo Shoot Projects. In other words, use this Slide Show as a Template, so I can  Apply my next Images to this Slide Show.
Technically,  Replacing all the old Images with my New Images
How can I do that ?
    Thank you very much.

    Mr. Gerard:
Yes Sir, I did exactly what you told me. I Created a test folder with 10 images named them 1-10, and created a Slideshow, closed After Effects and opened new Images Named them 1-10, and later I did copy 10 Images named 1-10 into that folder and It Is Working.
Thank you very much for your help

Upload Spry-UI-1.7 folder to your remote server by clicking the folder and hitting the UP arrow in your Files Panel.
Also, validate your code and fix reported errors.  You have unbalanced div tags.

  • How can i create my BC featured product list in to a slide show for multiple products in one row. i have products aligned in a row i just would like to make it a slide show of the multiple (20) products.

i have products aligned in a row already using custom css.i just would like to make it a slide show of the multiple (20) products in the one row.
i am using the featured product module from the development section of business catalyst. i would love to display as many new products as possible in one row of products. so i can just click a arrow left button and scroll through the products.
holy-shippers.businesscatalyst.com is the site i am mentioning.

    Hello,
Aside from any custom implementations that may be suggested by any other members, you could also consider using some hero-type slider like those found on our new responsive templates, and have each web-app item contain a product.
    Kind Regards,
    Alex Pavelescu

  • How to make vintage prints slide show one photo at a time?

Does anyone know to program the vintage prints slide show to display only one photo at a time?

The slideshow templates are fixed and can't be changed.
    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
    iMovie, on every Mac sold.
Others, in order of price: PhotoPresenter  $29
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
FotoMagico $29 (Home version) ($149 Pro version, which includes PhotoPresenter)
    Final Cut Express  $199
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Express is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

  • What's the Best Free Software to create slide shows?

    Hi,
I have to edit a movie on FinalCut ProX that includes beside interviews,  a lot of photographs.
I usually animate them using the program it self (transform features and motion) but it takes too long.
Could someone advice me if there is any application available and free that I can download from the Internet?
I've tried Picassa which is Ok but a bit too simple with not too many templates.
It has to be an application that permits to export the slide show and use it further in The FinalCut Pro X project.
    Thanks a Lot!

IPhoto is still too poor for its visual graphics editing options.
    What does that mean?
    JBRVideoProductions wrote:
Have you used Motion by chance?
    Yes.
Motion can do a lot of amazing things. But if you're looking for speed ("FCPX…takes too long") and templates, you need to look elsewhere.
Perhaps you should download the Lightroom trial.
Or for a dedicated slideshow app, Foto Magico.
    Best of luck.

  • Full Screen Photos In Slide Show & Other Questions

Hi - I'm using Premiere Elements 4. I have a few questions since I'm new to using the program. First of all, how do I get the photos to take up the whole screen (instead of showing a black border) when they are played back? They were taken on a 7.2 megapixel camera at the maximum quality setting. Also, the resolution is bad when it's played back but fine when you see the preview of the photos in the program. I've seen other posts about needing to change the resolution but I was wondering if I got the photos to play full screen if that might fix my problem because I can play the photos as a slide show in the Windows Photo Gallery Program and the resolution is perfect and the photos take up the whole screen.
Secondly, how do I delete a menu from the Disc Menus Section? Also, how would I delete the "Scene Selection" button from the menu screen that I want to keep? I want to be able to have a menu with just a "play all" button.
    Thanks for your help.

The only way to remove Scene Menu button from Disc Menus is to physically remove it from the template by editing it (They're PSD files) in Photoshop Elements.
As for photos, DO NOT use photos from that 7.2 megapixel camera at full resolution, niagara. It's a sure recipe for disaster. RAther, per the FAQs at the top of this forum, rez those photos all down to no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size.
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bb8822c
That done, you can get your photos to fill your screen one of two ways:
    a) Leave the Default to Frame Size option checked in your preferences. The only case in which this won't work is if you're using 4:3 photos in a 16:9 widescreen project.
    b) If this is the case, go to Edit/Preferences and uncheck Default to Frame Size BEFORE you import that photos into your project. (It won't work if you do it after.) Then, after placing each photo on your timeline, right-click on each, select Show Properties and, in Properties, open Motion and set Scale to 85%. Note that, because your photos and the widescreen have different aspect ratios, you will lose some of the vertical off the tops and bottoms of your photos.
There are many more ways to do it -- but it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

  • Help placing a Bridge slide show in a DW page

I've created a slide show (paintings on an artist's website) using Adobe Bridge. Though I followed the instructions for placing this file in a page created from a template, it interrupts the horizontal navigation bar when viewed in a browser.
Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi
If the slideshow works, then it is probably your css margin settings that require increasing. If you are using a table based layout the you will have to either increase the size of the table or convert to a css based layout.
    Can you post a link?
