Slides and forms can't work in CS5?

Download and install CS5 trial version but can't open flash files with flash CS5. Got error message like this:
'Slides and forms documnets are not supported in this version of Flash. Please open in a previous version.'
Does full version support flash file with slides? If not, what can I do with the old flash files which created by Flash MX2004. Any solutions in CS5 for this kind of flash files?

Well, it seems like I can install MX 2004 on Win 7, however it won't be supported because it wouldn't have been tested on Win 7 (as it came out long after MX 2004 was created). So I'm not sure all of the features will work properly, but it may be fine for grabbing the assets out of your presentation and arranging them on frames so you can update it in a newer version. I wish there was a feature for re-creating the app in a new format, but unfortunately there isn't one. However, templates (File > New > Templates) were created for CS5 that are very similar to slide/form presentations that you could use to create similar applications.

Having the same problem in CS6. I can tell you that converting back to CS4 will NOT solve the problem. It seems when support for backward compatibility is discontinued, there's just no way to get

I am just about giving up! I have upgraded Pages to 0.9 4.3. Now when i copy text from an incoming email and paste it it pastes in as an Object and I can't work on it.

I am just about giving up! I have upgraded Pages to 0.9 (4.3). Now when I copy text from an incoming email and paste it into Pages it pastes in as an Object and I can't work on it. It has a border round it and corner markers. I have never had this problem before. I have looked at every conceivable thing but cannot find how to get rid of this Object and just paste in the wanted text. If I fiddle and fiddle within this text I can eventually get a cursor and work on the text - but how on earth can I get rid of the surrounding box?
I don't know if this is at all clear but I can't think of any other way to describe this - but it looks like this in Pages with corner and top, bottom and side markers.

Peter hello - I have been copying and pasting for as long as I can remember and it has NEVER done this before - so why now!? Anyway, Jerry has told me about Paste and Match Style --- yet another new thing!
I have also discovered that I don''t need to hold down Option when I go to Save to get Save As - I can hold down 4 keys (shift, option, command and S) and it will bring up Save As!!

Thanks for your help Brij011 - much appreciated. Apologies as I'm a newbie but I've looked at the info for synching and I appear to have all the switches flicked on my iPad. Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

As Jocheim points out, this is not the place to get help. My guess is that you need Photoshop Just choose the appropriate sub-forum.
Also, this ARTICLE might be very useful at gathering the types of info, that will help others help you. Note: much relates to Adobe Premiere, so you can skip over those parts, but you should get the general idea.

I have dead time after a transition on one of my slides and I can not get rid of it

I have a transition between slides and then once the transition occurs, there is dead blank space for 5 seconds and then the next slide comes in. I have tried everything to get rid of the dead space but I can not seem to resolve the issue. Anyone have any thoughts?

All of my transitions occur in the build inspector. None of them have been incorporated in to the slide inspector. My text moves in at a duration of 1.5 sec and then moves out at the same duration. And that is it. No delay on builds on the next slide. All of the slides are set up the same way. And I am working off of two monitors and there is a space that shows the next slide and it is completely blank, but I don't have a blank slide in the presentation. Thanks for any help you might have.

I have updated my Apple ID via my iPad, but my other devices still think the ID is the old one and I can't work out how to update them

Yesterday, after discovering that the email address I used as my Apple ID was about to be deleted, I used my iPad to update my Apple ID to a new one. Everything went fine, until I moved on to my iPhone, which is still asking me for the password for my OLD Apple ID. I can't work out how to tell either my iPhone or my Macbook that this one is out of date and get them to change to the new one. iTunes is changed, but the settings aren't. Can anyone help me please?

You haven't stuffed it, you just haven't signed out, so do that now, everywhere your old ID appears needs to be signed out of.
Any variant of "Find My" (phone/mac/pad etc) that's signed in should be signed out.
List what needs a sign out if you don't know how to.

I installed Parental Controls on our MacBookPro 10.7.5. Now it's unusable (except for my admin's acct). Constant messages keep popping up that say "You don't have permission to use (whatever) application." You have the option to click: ok, always allow, or allow once, but no matter what you select, the messages keep popping up and prevent you from working. I have searched these forums, and all I have found is that you are supposed to uninstall the application (Spotify, dashboard, etc). Deinstalling every app is not a solution.
If the parental controls just don't work - and frankly I'm tired of wasting all this time trying to fix the bugs - can someone recommend a program that will restrict certain user accounts to any websites I haven't specified?

But neither "Modifying hal configuration" nor "Using the Desktop Environment settings" (xfce) worked. So I tried the "I don't want this crap, how do I turn it off?" solution and well it works
Maybe I turn it back on in a month or so.. but for now i'm fine with no hot plugging but a working keyboard...

Form can not work for certain user.

We have one customized request search form. We meet ‘'ORA-01403: no data found’ for ONLY one users. It works fine for all other users. I checked the user responsibilities. All users have the same responsibilities. And other function and form works fine for this user. So only this form failed for this user. Any comments?

The important thing to work out is what query is giving the ORA-1403? Without knowing that, it could be caused by anything. My guess would be that there is some data condition that is false for the user that is failing but true for all other users. However, without knowing the query giving the error, you don't know which data to look at.

Aerender and BG renderer not working on CS5

Our company just upgraded to AE CS5 and have been having some major problems trying to render in the background with aerender. We use the BG renderer script quite a bit to render in the background. We have tried the old version (1.6) and the new version (2) with no success. Basically, the terminal window opens and this is as far as it ever gets:

It always quits after the "successfully launched" line. aerendercore never starts up. In the console I get these lines:

We are running OS X 10.5.8 and AE 10.0.1.9. AE is installed under a corporate admin account and we use in a regular user account.
Any ideas? Could it be related to how it was installed? Without background rendering out productivity has been cut dramatically.

I've been starting by deleting all the prefs in the user/library/preferences/After Effects/10.0 folder.
After booting up AE I first go and click the "allow scripts..." setting then open the BG Renderer script and authorize. At this point I then test to make sure it's working, which it is.
Next I'll go and optn the" Output Modules..." menu item. I click "New..." then select Format Options and pick ProRes 422 (though I have tried other formats, they all act the same) and click on the Audio checkbox. Click Ok, then name the output something. Then I try executing BG Renderer and it gives me the error. Trying to launch aerender via some other means (Terminal or the aerender droplet) also don't work.
I've also tried editing an existing Output Module or deleting one with the same result. Very perplexing.

AppleTV and iChat: can they work together?

Right now when I use iChat, I hook my the video out of my laptop up to my HDTV and the audio to my stereo. So far it's worked great.
I was hoping that AppleTV would let me do that a bit more easily. Does anyone know if that will be possible with AppleTV

It will depend on whether it is software on the TV that calls the Computers iTunes and iPhoto libraries or whether it is just a point to plug the Computer to something that can display on a TV screen.
I am reading it as the latter.
