Slides turn off play in captivate 8

I have tried to use a button to get to the next slide to avoid slides placing project into pause status however the buttons do not respond until I click on the exterior play button.

A button by its very nature will pause playback. So I'm unclear on why you inserted one to avoid causing the project to pause. If there is no button, normally there is also no pause. Unless, of course, another object is pausing playback.

  • KEYNOTE - Export to quicktime with slides turned off

I have just done a full set of speaker walkup slide intros and then tried to output to quicktime with certain slides turned off and the ones I wanted to export turned on. Each time I would export the QT movie (for individual speakers turned on and the other turned off) and Keynote would record the first three slides rather than the three further in the deck that I have turned on. Has anybody had the same problem? Maddening!!!

Apple promised a 6 month update scheme, that takes us to May 2014 to sort this out, in the meantime I'm using Keynote 09 for all the stuff, 6 cant do.

  • TS4006 Turn off play sound

How to turn off play sound on find my iPhone app?

This horrible, loud, and obnoxious ding, ding, ding, ding (and on for ten dings total in descending volume) plays about 30 times for a total on 2 minutes.  It will stop itself.  It used maybe about 1% of the battery power on my iPhone 5.  I tested it, and I clocked it twice:  that's all the torture I could tollerate.

  • Why is U2's new album turning off playing of all songs?!?!

    Hi,
I have an iphone 5s 64GB, today as I was listening to music in shuffle mode,  I fast forwarded through a song and suddenly all audio stopped, I took the headphones off and tried playing without headphones, and it still didn't work, so then I turned off my phone completely restarted and I could listen to music again. After a few songs the music turned off again. I repeated the process. I was pretty upset at this point, I had noticed both times that the new U2 stuff was there when it stopped playing, I don't really care about U2 being put on my iphone although I would probably remove them anyway I only like stuff I've chosen on it.
Anyway then I restarted again, and then I started playing, went forward through 10 songs without a problem and then back to the U2 song Cedarwood Road, and I noticed a couple things
1 it didn't play, even though it was set to play ( I had assumed before that songs were playing but not making any sound. I put the song forward by a minute, pressed the pause button and then play, the tracker went all the way back to 0:00.
    2. When I went forward again to a new song, I experienced the same thing - it won't play.
I then turned off the phone again, turned it back on, went to the music app which started at Ted Leo and the Pharmacists again, I then went one song back to Cedarwood Road - but it was no longer there!!! First of all clicking the back button just kept restarting Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, I instead had to click multiple times in quick succession (  approx. 10 times ) to go back the next song, which was no long Cedarwood Road but the song that was before Cedarwood Road in my shuffled tracks. I then went back a lot of tracks to get see what the **** had happened when I got to California ( there is no end to love ) and again - song stops playing, I cannot play other songs. I went back before that track by a couple tracks, restarted went forward a couple tracks the song has again disappeared from my track listing.
Now - IF this is Apple's solution to people complaining about U2, well then they just turned a free album giveaway into inserting active malware onto people's phones, and I guess I'm one of the lucky winners.
If this is part of how it worked in the first place I can certainly understand why nobody wanted the gift, which I should point out that gift in danish means poison ( also marriage, hah hah).
I think someone  from the company actively putting malware on people's computers should contact me and help me get it off, and also identify the problem so they can fix it before it harms any more of their customers.

I just fast forwarded through the tracks after I had restarted again and while the California song was gone from my shuffle order the Cedarwood Road song was back exactly where it was before.

  • Ipod Touch - turn off slider appears on startup and ipod won't play music

Hoping someone can shed some light on my problem.
The two problems I have are:
    1) the red Turn Off slider appears immediately on turning the iPod on
    2) when the play button is hit, it automatically pauses immediately.
    The problems in detail:
I have a 2nd generation iPod touch that was working fine until I updated to 3.1.2 firmware. It worked fine for a few hours and then the touch screen began behaving weirdly. First, it wouldn't allow me to slide the unlock slider across the screen, and then when it finally would let me, it basically accessed random apps and moved randomly between the app home screens. All of this was jerky and erratic and it looked as if my iPod had gone schizo!
I took the iPod to a Genius at the Apple Store, but when I arrived the problem had fixed itself (at least, the random accessing of apps etc), but I noticed that on startup, the red turn off slider would appear immediately. After canceling the slider, I went to play some music. Immediately after hitting play, the ipod paused. Repeated attempts yielded the same results. It won't let me press play or listen to any music, regardless of whether it was iTunes purchased, an audiobook, podcast or whatever. You hit the play button, it turns into a pause button for a split second and then reverts back.
I have tried restoring the iPod a number of times on my computer and other macs (I'm running 10.5.8 OS X and iTunes 9). I have also done a couple of option+restores, having downloaded previous firmware versions (3.0 first, then 2.2.1). Both attempts left me with an error message (20). I am going spare about this and would really appreciate any advice!
There is one thing that worries me. I have been told by the Genius I spoke with that the moisture indicator inside the headphone jack shows that it has been exposed to water. Would this result in the above described problems? Everything else seems to work fine. I have even managed to get YouTube back after fiddling with the date settings (i.e. setting the date to 2030 and then back). I want to either restore my iPod to a previous firmware version that worked or make the update that I paid for work the way it should!
    I appreciate any suggestions!

this happened to me. I figgered that after you play apps like games which r side ways causes this for example nba live lite it caused the problem to me same when the slider stays in one spot i see that apps cause this problem. i just figgered it out cause it happens allways after certian game apps or other app. To fix this test all the apps and see and delete the ones which cause this but not all apps which r side ways cause it. I hope this helps

  • How do I tell Apple to fix their software like apps that play sound even though the sound is turned off and not being able to disable features you hate like game center

Apple is suppose to be the pinnacle of usability and, yet, I want to throw my new IPhone 4s as far as I can and watch is smash into a million pieces on concrete. Seriously, I've already got three things that irritate the **** out of me. First, there are Apple apps that insist on playing sound even though the sound is turned off. If I flick a switch to turn the sound off, I want the sound off!!!! Second, if I do not want a totally unnecessary feature like Game Center, I should be able to disable it. I completed most of the Angry Bird levels with 2 or 3 stars and now I have to start over from square one. Maybe, this happened when I upgraded to the 4s but it sure seemed to happen when I joined Game Center. Tomorrow, I am going to reset my 4s to factory defaults to try to get rid of my Game Center account. I don't want Game Center! I do need Game Center! I hate Game Center! Finally, I had an alarm go off to wake me up and there was a Snooze button but no button to turn the alarm off. I flicked the slider to access the main screen expecting to see something to turn the alarm off but there was nothing. The alarm just kept alarming. I had to warm boot my IPhone to shut the alarm off! Really, Apple!!!!

The sound is turned off. Only, some Apple apps like YouTube and Siri make sound when the sound is turned off. It is very embarrassing when this happens at work. My question was how do I tell Apple to fix this?
Turning off game center does not work. The games just prompt me to sign in when they are started.I have tried everything I can find online to stop this behavior. It is annoying and should not happen. My question was how do I tell Apple to fix this?
The alarm went off. There was a green thing that looked like a button but pressing it did nothing. There was a red button that said snooze. I did not want to snooze. I wanted to turn the alarm off. I slid the bar to unlock the phone and there were no running apps with a button to press. The alarm just keep running. I have not had this problem since it first occurred. The alarm now shuts off when I just unlock the phone. It may have happened because I had another alarm app running. The two may have interfered with each other. I would like to tell Apple about it.
It also annoys me that the button that closes apps leaves the phone app running. If I press on a number at 6:00 AM to get information about who called me, the phone automatically dials the person back and my natural reaction is to press on the button to close the phone app but the phone keeps dialing this person at 6:00 AM. It is a bad design. I would like to tell Apple about it.
Finally, I looked all over Apple's site to try to find someplace I could send them a polite message to let them know that I was not happy with these "features" but could not find anything. It is extremely frustrating to have issues with a product and not being able to tell the manufacturer about it. So, you grow up!.
When trying to fix the Game Center issue, I saw a link someone posted to report issues with the IPad to Apple. The answer I am looking for is where is the link to report issues with the IPhone.

  • HT204406 Although I have subscribed to ITunes Match my ipad setting only states under Settings Music, to subscribe to iTunes Match. But i have subscribed. i have played the downloaded songs from the icloud, too, and when i turn off my computer, the ipad m

I subscribed to Music Match with iTunes and yet my ipad settings for Music only still has the option to subscribe, and therefore I cannot click on an option to Activagte iTunes Match, since it is not there. I have all the right number of songs from the icloud showing up in my ipad now, and I have played a few, but when I tried to turn off the computer, it showed a field stating that my ipad music would stop playing too, and it did. I thought this might have something to do with homesharing, but this I thought was something separate from iCloud.
There is something wrong, but I don't understand what. It has just synced, but the problem persists.

Home sharing is separate from iTunes Match.  Sounds like you were playing music using home sharing, which turned off when you turned off your computer.
Open iTunes on your computer and go to the Store menu.  Confirm that there is a setting called Turn Off iTunes Match.  That will confirm that iTunes Match is enabled on your computer.  Then check to see what Apple ID you subscribed to iTunes Match with.  It will be the ID in Store>View Account (in parentheses).
On your iPad, confirm that you are signed in with this same ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store (at the top).  If so, you should see an iTunes Match setting listed with an on/off slider.  Slide it on to enable iTunes Match on your iPad.

  • Ipod touch screen went black and then started flashing. Then the turn off slide comes up.

Ipod touch screen went black and then started flashing. Then the turn off slide comes up. Restored multiple times and didn't work. Ipod works with Itunes fine (can put music and podcasts on the ipod), but can't take songs off of the ipod. Using windows xp and everything is up to date. Any ideas of how to fix it?

I didn't know that it was posted three times. My computer didn't say that it posted anything.
My ipod still syncs to itunes and I can put podcasts and music on my ipod, but I can't delete songs after I put them on the ipod. When I try to delete songs I try to delete it from the main music list on the ipod. It's also doing all the other stuff that I posted before. The screen will go black and then the power off slider thing shows up for a few seconds, then it'll show the unlock slider bar. Then goes black again. It will also do that when I have the ipod unocked and changing songs or playing a game. I've restored it to the factory default/new ipod and it still does the same thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and then restored it again to the factory default and it's still doing the same exact thing. I checked and my computer is up to date.

  • Can you turn off timer on iPhoto slide show

i would like to turn timer off on I photo slide show is it possible

    Hello there, scbullard.
The online iPhoto Help menu provides some great information for changing settings on your slideshows, including the length of time a slide plays:
    iPhoto Help: Change slideshow settings
    http://help.apple.com/iphoto/#pht6d9774ac
If you want to apple the change for the entire slideshow:
To change settings for an entire slideshow:
Select the slideshow in the Source list, click the Settings button in the toolbar, and then click All Slides.
While a slideshow is playing, move the pointer to make the slideshow controls appear, and then click the Settings button:
    Do one of the following:
To set the length of time each slide appears, select “Play each slide for a minimum of __ seconds,” and click the arrows to increase or decrease the number of seconds.
To play the slideshow as long as the music plays, select “Fit slideshow to music.”
To change the effect between slides, select the Transition checkbox, and then do one or both of the following:
Choose a transition from the pop-up menu. For some transitions, you can change the direction in which the effect occurs by clicking the arrows.
To change how long the transition lasts, drag the Speed slider.
Tip:  If transitions play too slowly, try decreasing your screen resolution (choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Displays). Very large photos might also transition slowly; try changing the photo’s size (see Export a photo).
If you wish, specify additional slideshow settings:
To make each slide’s title, description, place, or date appear, select the Show Caption checkbox, and then choose an item from the pop-up menu.
To display slides in random order, select “Shuffle slide order.” If you don’t see this option, play the slideshow, move the pointer to make the slideshow controls appear, and then click the Settings button.
To automatically restart the slideshow when it’s over, select “Repeat slideshow.”
To prevent black borders from appearing on photos cropped to an aspect ratio that doesn’t match the display’s, select “Scale photos to fill screen.”
Choose an option from the Aspect Ratio pop-up menu, depending on where you’ll play the slideshow. If you don’t see this option, press the Escape key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings button in the toolbar.
If you want to make the change to individual slides:
To change settings for an individual slide:
Before you change settings for specific slides, it’s best to specify the settings for the slideshow as a whole. If you specify settings for individual slides and then change options for the whole slideshow, the slideshow settings might override the individual settings.
Select the slideshow in the Source list, and then select a slide in the photo browser at the top of the iPhoto window.
Click the Settings button in the toolbar, and then click This Slide at the top of the Slideshow Settings window.
Do any of the following (some options aren’t available for every slideshow theme):
To add an effect such as a sepia tint, click one of the effect thumbnails. To turn the effect off, click the thumbnail again.
To change the length of time the slide plays, select the “Play this slide for” checkbox and click the arrows to increase or decrease the number of seconds.
To change the slide’s transition effect, select the Transition checkbox and choose an option from the Transition pop-up menu. To change the transition’s duration, drag the Speed slider. For some transitions, you can also change the effect’s direction by clicking an arrow on the directional button.
Tip:  To see the transition, click the Preview photo.
To customize the slide’s pan and zoom effect, select the Ken Burns checkbox. For more information, see the task below.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Bug or feature: Audio from videos can still play with sound turned off

I've just noticed that with the sound switch turned off (i.e., red dot showing), if I play a video and slide the volume bar to the right for the video, the audio plays on the iPhone speaker. I thought the hardware sound switch was a "master" switch which would kill all sound on the iPhone, except, of course, for headphones.

That switch is GENERALLY for the phone functions. Other apps may or may not respond to it depending on how they have been written.

  • IPad turns off while playing certain games.

During certain newer games, my iPad will freeze and either keep the screen and have rectangles, or it will go black and restart. While this is a relatively small issue, I would just like to know if there is an easy solution; will I just not be able to play certain games? Or is there a fix?

    Try the basic:
    (A) Restart iPad
    1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
    3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (C) Reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings
    (D) Restore iPad
    1. Connect your device to your iTune (computer).
    2. Select your iPad when it appears in iTunes.
    3. Select the Summary tab.
    4. Click the Restore button.
    Note: Data will be lost

  • How do I turn off and on the icon size slider bar at the lower right status bar of a folder window.

I have been trying for days to help a friend with a new iMac to turn on the icon size slider bar that on my iMac appears at the bottom of ever folder when it is open when in the "view" > "icon" mode.  I cannot find anything that discusses this slider bar.  I can turn this status bar off and on on both my machine and my friends machine, but I cannot turn off or on the slider on either machine.

This did not help.  I am a Mac User since 1984 and generally I am never stymied buy the Mac OS, but this one has me.   I can open and close the lower status bar, as you described, and that works fine for me because I have the icon slider bar already there and it works fine; however when I open the lower status bar on my friends machine there is no icon size slider bar, and I can't seem to find out how to get it there, as it is on my machine or at all. The icon size can be controlled from the View menu, but as a photographer, it is really handy to have it at the bottom of the folder window.  Thanks for trying.
