Slideshow and image gallery

I have two questions. How can I create a slideshow on my opening page, is there a way to do this importing iphoto then is there a way to create galleries instead of having all the links above such as photo 1, photos2. I would like to have someone go to weddings then they can hit one button and slide through the photos??

Everything you're looking for is right here....

  • Mythtv music and image gallery unresponsive

I'm running the Mythtv packages from testing, and find that I cannot play music or view images on the system.
At some point in the past, these functions have worked.  I don't check them every time I upgrade, but went to use them the other day.  On the mythtv menu, if I click on "Listen to Music" or on "Image Gallery", I get no response at all.  Since it acts like it isn't getting the key press from the remote, I tried with the keyboard; same result.
This is the first time I've had a problem using testing packages and am not sure where to report problems, so I'm starting here.

    Ok, never thought of that.
    I'm getting an error:
2008-01-26 17:14:16.810 Unable to run plugin 'mythgallery': not initialized
2008-01-26 17:14:17.690 MythPlugin::Init() dlerror: libGL.so.1.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
2008-01-26 17:14:17.690 Unable to initialize plugin 'mythgallery'.
Will check to see what isn't updated, etc.
    [bump]
found an error about nvidia-utils, which I upgraded to the testing version; it wanted nvidia and the testing kernel, updated those as well.  All this did was screw up everything; sound system stopped working, still no access to gallery or music.....
I downgraded everything, now my capture cards don't work, I'll get it all back up before trying to figure this out again..

  • Can't open Photo and Imaging gallery - 6 year old 1350 printer, running XP

Model 1350C printer running on XP without problems for 6 years.  Today Photo & Imaging Gallery won't open.  Error Message "Program encountered an unexpected error.  the type initializer for HP.CUE.  Gallery Image Manager Keyword threw an exception."  Have no idea what this means, or what to do.  Any ideas.  Printer works great, but I can't use the scanning functions

Should I try doing that before I try the Archive and Install?
Running DU from the HD will not allow you to repair the HD, but it will allow you to Verify the HD to tell if you need to boot from the Install disk to actually Repair it.
Should you need/want to do it from the Install Disk...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Also, if I try Archive and Install, will it delete all of my personal files, too, or will these be carried over?
If you use A&I and choose the Preserve Users & Settings, it should just replace the OS' files and leave all yours intact. About the only way it could fail is Power Failure during it, (make sure Laptops have AC power during A&I or Repairs, , updates, etc.), Bad Disk/Directory info to start with, or flaky RAM or some such odd thing.

  • Need Ideas for Minimalist Website and Image Gallery

I am looking for ideas for creating a minimalist online image gallery/portfolio? I want to either use html for the site and then flash for the portfolio images or some other method. I want to click on the thumbnails and then a large image will open.
Should I use Flash, Dreamweaver, Would it be easier to load the images dynamically to a folder. Does anyone have an example they could show me. Thanks.

I second Mahendra's suggestion for JAlbum Excellent product!  Just so you know, you don't need to use their image hosting.  Simply download the software and install it on your PC.   The beauty of JAlbum is that it generates thumbnails and HTML pages for you from your folder of images.  Lots of different Skins available. CSS can be customized.  And you can't beat the price.
Minimalism is nice but on the web, if you don't have some real text in the HTML markup you're essentially invisible to search engines, language translators and web assisting technologies like screen readers.  I realize this is a portfolio, but you want to maintain some degree of visibility so people can find you.  For this reason, Flash sites don't do well.  HTML is preferred.
    Good luck with your project,

  • N95 and image gallery sorting by filename, not by ...

    Hello!
In N95, the default sorting of images (and photos) is by date-time. This is stupid and useless, because:
    - I edit some of my taken photos, so they have different datetime stamps than originals
    - I always manualy define the order of photos by putting numbered prefixes in filenames.
The gallery on N95 should be able to sort by filename. I cannot find a "sort by" option. Is there any?
Or did Nokia forget to add such an important option?
    Thanks,
    Smargroth

So it seems that the only solution is to "touch" files (modify timestamp); in groups, so I can simulate "albums" (all files in one group get the same timestamp). Then the files are sorted by filename.
But this is possible only using microSD card, connected through "Data transfer mode" to PC.
I don't know who programmed this gallery application, but it is really some of the worst programs which I saw. Didn't they ask any user what we want? Yesterday I tried to copy a lot of my journey photos (around 4000) to memory card and what then? Each time when I opened the gallery, photos was processed around 2 minutes before displaying!!! I hate this application. Why does it need to count the photos? And, if it really needs the total number of photos, it can store the number or make some database, which is refreshed on demand, like music list.
And, I don't find any option, to hide some folders from displaying. For example, I have some photos for contacts, and I don't want them to be displayed in gallery. Is this possible?
Because, in my opinion, this gallery application is so bad and useless, I wonder, if there is some (3rd party) gallery application, which works like ACDSee or Irfan or any other normal program?
    Thanks,
    Sergej

  • Slideshow and image filenames

Hi, is there a way to display each image's filename on the slides generated by the Slideshow module in LR1.1?
    Thanks for any help,
    DLMST

Thank you, I tried using the ABC feature but it added the same text to EVERY slide. I couldn't figure out how to apply the text to each slide independently. (I do use that feature to add copyright and contact url applied to all slides however.) There must be something I'm doing incorrectly. :-( I'll re-read the LR Help.

  • Using LR 5 to make slideshow and images in the preview are correct but when I play the actual slideshow the pictures are a lot smaller than what they should be. Help!

I'm making a slideshow with Lightroom 5. I'm using a 2014 Macbook Pro. Everything works except when I play the actual slideshow the pictures are smaller than what they should be. But the preview is showing the correct photo size. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks!

    Hey ronfya
Did you ever get any feedback on this? I haven't read the Technicolor link yet.  I was just trying to figure out why my stuff comes out darker on Vimeo. Could this be because FCPX is displaying it to brightly?

  • FW popup menu and image gallery IE7 isssue

I was trying different things and ran across this issue, I
put a Fireworks CSS popup menu just above the thumbnails in the
gallery demo and when I tested it in IE7 (not sure about IE6 or
older) the thumbnails show through the menu when it pops up?
Seems to work just fine in Firefox 2. just like IE to cause
    CSS issues.
I put the sample up on the server, check it out here.
    http://www.bardenhomes.com/pcs/gallery/index.html
anyone know what I need to change in the CSS to make these 2
    things play well together?
    thanks Jim

Have you tried giving the menu a higher z-index via CSS?

I've looked around and can't find a tutorial for it anywhere,
Does anyone know how this is made
or can give me a link to a tutorial?
    Thanx

MSN is probably using something proprietary.  Below you'll find some free slideshow and image gallery solutions that might work for you.

  • Dreamweaver cs6 web image gallery

hi to all, i need help with web and image gallery, as far as web is OK but im trying to involve a lot of pictures inside, the problem is im trying to put table inside div tag with auto resize to thumbnails, i hope it is possible o is there another solution for images gallery

Here is how you deal with jQuery:
Firstly, you go get the code from the image gallery that you prefer that I linked to above.
Then you find out which version of jQuery you need.
Then you go to jQuery.com and download the code.
Then you create a folder in your defined side in Dreamweaver. Call it js.
Put jQuery into the js folder
Put your plugin (the gallery you chose) into the js folder.
Call both jQuery and your plugin in the <head> region of your web page thusly:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="js/plugin.min.js"></script>
Then follow the specific directions for whichever gallery you choose to activate the plugin. For example, "fancybox" wants you to create a div class called fancybox. Then, in the <head> region of your web page underneath where you called the plugin(s), place the following:
    <script type="text/javascript">
              $(document).ready(function() {
                        $(".fancybox").fancybox();
    </script>
    And the plugin will work.
    That's how to apply.
Alternatively, you could purchase a plugin from Project VII or other sources that will automate everything.

  • Image Gallery Text Fields

How do I change the font and size of text fields in creation of and image gallery?  I am able to change color.  I have Lightroom 3.  Thanks.

LR's advanced web settings are hidden by default, but you can access them on Windows using Ctrl-Shift-Alt-/. On Mac: switch to the Web Module, click on the Help menu, press Shift+Option and click Use Advanced Settings.

  • How do i use numbers for image gallery and arrows?

    Hello there,
I'm hoping someone can advise me on the best possible way.
I would like to use numbers to help the user navigate through the image gallery i'm creating and arrows on either side of an image (one image viewed at any one time). I have attached an image of what i'm trying to acheive. I feel like the arrows will help aid the user to navigate and the numbers will inform them on the number of images to view.
I have so far created the site with a template (logo and nav bar) and child pages for: home/about/work/contact.
Hope to hear from someone soon.
    Nicola

With so many pre-built image galleries available to you, there's no reason to re-invent the wheel.

  • Image gallery to autoplay and highlight the thumbnails

    Hi all,
I still haven't been able to find anything suitable for an
    image gallery with thumbnails that:
    - autoplays
    - highlights the thumbnails and displays the main image at
    the same time
    - and when the mouse is over the thumbnail, the thumbnail
highlights or has a border around to show that it's been selected.
Here is a sample of what I'm looking for:
    http://components.earthscienceagency...nts/slideshow/
Of course the captions need to be loaded as well as a
previous and next button to scroll through the images.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi all,
I was able to resolve some of my issues, but still have a
couple more. The images from my xml appear out of order (so the
last one inserted in the xml appears first) and also I'd like the
thumbnails to be highlighted as the main image transitions in and
out. I have the main image autoplaying and the thumbnails are
    pretty much static.
I've provided the AS below. For the thumbnails, would it be
possible to create a similar to the slideshow function and have the
thumbnails play at the same time too?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Image gallery approach for additional details and add to cart option?

With efficiency and minimalist downloads for smartphone users I would appreciate advice on a product image gallery.
Currently I have an intro page and other simple information pages. My gallery pages ( four distinct pages for different leather goods) need  either a pop up or a link to a new page for additional details and an option to add to cart.
Within the image gallery, How should I link each photo to the new detail/cart page? Can clicking  the image itself be the action or do I need a button?

I made a mistake. I think I got it right this time. The pop up of the title box works but the images are all gone.

  • How to add a 'Download' feature in image and video gallery?

    Hello,
I have created an image gallery on one screen and placed few videos on another screen.
Now, I want to add a download feature in photos & footages both.
Does anyone know how so I do that?
Prompt response will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jay
