Slideshow and navto-button

I have made my own table of content in a folio.
On this page I have a few slideshows.
There are a few picture you can swipe:
Now I make an button on top of this slideshow and create a navto: instruction to another article.
But now the slideshow doesn't work anymore:
To action on one place....
Is the a solution to create two interactive actions on one place?

note after you paste it there you need to give it the navto action again.
Not with this piece of magic: http://indesignsecrets.com/extension-deadens-pain-working-multi-state-objects.php
That said, navto: actions are pretty safe in this regard. It's the go to state actions that get lost.
Aad, I would suggest reconsidering this layout, as well, but I would kill that swipe action. It doesn't do what most people would expect it to do so either have it auto play or use buttons.

  • How can i create forward and back buttons for a dreamweaver slideshow?

    Hi
    I am an illustrator attempting to create a website in dreamweaver (basically it will be an online portfolio). I would like to have a box/slideshow with images of my work that someone can browse through by clicking 'next' and 'back' buttons. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been trying to find out how to do this for ages - i dont want to use flash if possible as i am worried about making the site too complicated. I know how to make swap image thumbnails, but i think my site would be more user friendly (and look more professional) if i could have next and back buttons. Would this involve complicated css code (which scares the life out of me!) or is there a relatively easy way to do it? I have got two 'dreamweaver for idiots' books, but neither of them cover this topic. Can anyone help?

    If you are using CS4, there is a Command to create a Web Album... this does it automatically for you.
    Otherwise, you can create this manually.  Say you have 3 pages,
    page1.html  (is the index page of the album)
    page2.html
    page3.html
    Therefore, using ordinary text links
    Home would link to page1.html
    Previous would link to page3.html
    Next would link to page2.html
    You would need to make adjustments naturally to each page as you move along with the gallery pages, changing the previous and the next links as needed.  Below is a a basic example of setting up the links in a simple table structure.  You would also then style the table layout as you see fit - yes, using css preferably  :-)
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td><h2>MY GALLERY OF PHOTOS</h2>
    <a href="page3.html">Previous</a> | <a href="index.html">Home</a> | <a href="page2.html">Next</a>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <br>
    <a href="../images/img_2401_jpg.jpg"><img src="../images/img_2401_jpg.jpg" border=0></a><br>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    Here's an article on creating an album using the DW Command I mentioned earlier. You could create the album and then copy and paste the code into a current page if you've already designed on.,... not too difficult, I just tested it.  You do however, need to have Fireworks to process the images.

    You could also check out the Lightbox effect which is very popular:
    http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/
    Or do a google search for 'jquery'.  There are different album effects using that framework as well.
    Hope some of this helps  :-)

  • How to customize the prev and next buttons separately in slideshows?

    Is there a way to customize the prev and next buttons separately in slideshows in muse? When I import a background image that looks like a right arrow it puts the image for both prev and next buttons. I import it by selecting the next button, and then clicking on the folder icon labelled "Image" in the Fill drop-down menu in the Tool bar at the top of the Muse page.

    Yes, it should be very easy. Here is how I do this:
    First, I move the arrows onto the image, and double click the box so that I can remove the arrow character.
    Then, I go up to the "Image Fill" and click the file icon to fill with an image
    Then, I select the other arrow, and do the same
    Hope this helps!

  • I've customized a slideshow and no longer see the "add" button to add slides. Can I still add new slides? How?

    I've customized a slideshow and no longer see the "add" button to add slides. Can I still add new slides? How?

    Hi
    By customization what exactly you mean ? if you have applied states, effects etc to slideshow still add button should work. Or if you are using the slide show in some container.
    Please provide more details.
    Thanks,

  • "prev"and "next" buttons no longer work on Yahoo/other slideshows. Still work in Chrome.

    In updating for FFX 6 and 7, the next and prev buttons no longer work in slideshows on Yahoo news and similar sites. Sometimes the status bar shows the links as javascript: void or :null. Sometimes longer links. All javaconsole add-ins are shown as incompatible with these version of FFX.

    i woudnt suggest it, but if your warranty is up it could just be a bad connection from the wheel...what generation do you have? my 4th generation 20 gig ceased to function and it was because somehow one of the cables had a bad connection. i took it to the apple store and they gave me an estimate for something i wasnt willing to pay on a 2 year old ipod so i just winged dissasembleing it and after taking apart the whole thing and reassembling it worked fine.

  • Removing the "next" and "previous" buttons in the slideshow

    Hi all,
    I added an html snippet so once you click on my link, it bypasses the album mode and goes straight to the single pict mode. I like it because for me, it seemed like an extra step. So, now that I don't want to use album mode- i want to remove the "back to album" and the "previous and next" buttons (to clean stuff up). Anybody know how to do that?
    thanks!

    They make a call to JavaScript, I'm guessing you knew that?
    I'm 96.7% JS illiterate, so I'm incapable of explaining it.
    You have to download the Spry Framework, unpackage it, look
    in the Demos folder, then look in the Gallery folder. Gallery.js, i
    think, is where that JS call goes to in order to switch out the
    next/prev image.

  • How do I create my own favorite template for DVD slideshows? I used to be able to select this from pulldown menu, but cannot now do so. I am directed straight to templates, which take more memory. I have a large slideshow, and need all the space I can get

    First, how do I create my own favorite theme template for DVD slideshows? I used to be able to select this from pulldown menu, but cannot now do so. I am directed straight to already existing themes, which take more memory. I have a large slideshow, and need all the space I can get. I just want to use a picture as my DVD cover, and then insert a slideshow. Also, when I try to burn my 8.5gb double sided slideshow, all that burns is the music. It is a large slideshow, a memorial on the life of my now deceased brother. This means a lot to me and to my family, and I am having so much trouble trying to burn it. I have gone into Project View and selected appropriately. The bar shows I have room to burn this DVD, but it does not burn.  I have burned so many DVDs in the past, but this one just will not burn. I am so confused at this point. I will say this is the first 8.5gb I have attempted to create and burn. My specs list a 7.7gb or 4.7gb as operable....but there are no 7.7gb dvds. I had to purchase 8.5gb. Help? What am I doing wrong? I have spent so much time on this, and just cannot figure it out.

    Final Cut is a separate, higher end video editor.  The pro version of iMovie.
    Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow.  It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them.  You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
    When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
    Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
    Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
    Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
    Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
    To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
    Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
    The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version).  Personal preferences showing here.

  • Problems with Next and Back Buttons ActionScript 3.0

    Hi,
    I have set up a Back, Play and Next buttons in a slideshow I am making.  The next and back buttons work correctly until it gets to the end.
    If I press the Next button it goes back to what appears to be Frame 1 and will not go to the next slide. If I press the Back button it will then go to Frame 201 and If I press next again it will go to Frame 1.  It will only go back and forth in between those frames.
    If I press the Back button from the beginning it goes through the slide show correctly then it gets stuck at Frame 1.  If I press next button it goes to Frame 121 and gets stuck in between 121 and 1.
    I can't figure this out please help.
    My code on Frame 1 is:
    stop();
    play_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,playslideshow);
    function playslideshow(event:MouseEvent) { gotoAndPlay(2); }
    forward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_2);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_2(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(40);
    back_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_8);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_8(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(281);
    My code on Frame 40 is:
    forward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_7);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_7(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(121);
    back_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_9);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_9(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(1);
    My code on Frame 121 is:
    forward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_3);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_3(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(201);
    back_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_10);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_10(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(40);
    My code on Frame 201 is:
    forward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_4);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_4(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(281);
    back_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_11);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_11(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(121);
    My code on Frame 281 is:
    forward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_5);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_5(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(1);
    back_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_12);
    function fl_ClickToGoToAndStopAtFrame_12(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(201);

    I found the solution!  Flash CS5 Tutorial 6 Click On Button Go To Another Frame.avi - YouTube
    I had to Convert to Keyframes each frames I wanted to jump to on the buttons layer.  Then highlight the button and give each another instance name! Like forward1_btn, forward2_btn, back1_btn, back2_btn...  I did that and adjusted the action-script for each button.
    Frame 1
    stop();
    play_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,playslideshow);
    function playslideshow(event:MouseEvent)
    gotoAndPlay(2);
    forward1_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Shoot_1);
    function Shoot_1(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(40);
    back1_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Back_1);
    function Back_1(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(281);
    Frame 40
    forward2_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Shoot_2);
    function Shoot_2(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(121);
    back5_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Back_5);
    function Back_5(event:MouseEvent):void
      gotoAndStop(1);
    And so on...

  • How do I position the back and next buttons in a full screen lightbox

    I'm working on a portfolio website, and it has five sections (each section is 1440px wide).  I am trying to put in a full screen lightbox for some images.  When I adjust the settings for the lightbox, I am just keeping the Back and Next buttons.  However, when I put the buttons in one place, they either appear in a different position in the browser, or just don't appear at all.  Maybe there's a technique I am missing with regards to putting the buttons in a place most computer browsers will be able to find it.  (Pictures of the problem are below, and they use the sample pictures for the slideshow, but it doesn't make a difference what pictures are in there.
    Muse document.  The arrows are pink and can be seen on the left and right sides.
    Web Browser Preview.  No arrows, even though they're in the Muse document.

    I see that you are using a long page with slideshow in lower section of the page. Navigation arrows are placed around 3200 , so when you will scroll the page down you can view the next and previous buttons.
    Try to change navigation arrows and then check.

  • Photos slideshow pause/play button not displaying in 3.0

    I've been running 3.0 on my first generation Touch for several months. Throughout, I've noticed that the Photos slideshow lower-center pause/play button no longer displays once I've paused a slideshow. While the left/right arrows show and I am able to advance photos one at a time, I am unable to re-engage the slideshow.
    In software versions 1 and 2, one could freely pause and play a running slideshow. Now, when I pause the slideshow, I'm forced to bail out of the slideshow and start a new one.
    A longtime Touch owner, I'm not certain if my problem is a 3.0 software glitch or things have changed. Has anyone else encountered the issue?

  • Slideshow and Elements 11

    Hello
    I have a 20-minute clip which looks reasonable. I then have a related 20 still images which I would like to include maybe after the movie, but I don't really want to simply add them one after another. I was thinking more of a slideshow (not sure which software to do that in, though).
    Is it possible to build a slideshow and then somehow incorporate it into Elements 11, or would I need to consider the movie and slideshow as two separate entities and just burn one after another seaparely onto a DVD?
    Thanks again.
    Steve

    Steve
    The main menu of the DVD template typically consists of a main menu and scene menu.
    The main menu is characterized by a Play All (Movie) button to do just that and a Scene Selection button for the viewer to navigate directly to a particular scene in the movie that you have targeted by placing a scene marker at the beginning of Timeline image. But, many of the DVD Template main menu pages have a 3rd button. Sometimes it is called Main Menu, sometimes Bonus. It is that Bonus feature that we are going to take advantage of for your purposes. Check out menus such as Fun and Aquarium to see what I mean by Bonus button.
    There are several variations on what you want to do:
    The first does not use a stop marker to isolate the stills from the movie playback, the second one does...
    1. Major movie at Timeline level...scene markers for the movie scenes that will be displayed in the Scene Selection Page of the DVD-VIDEO.  At the end of the major movie, immediately place your stills. At the beginning of the first still place a main menu marker. Outcome...
    a. From Main Menu, you can hit Play All to play straight throught from start of movie to last still on the Timeline.
    b. From Main Menu, you can hit Scene Selection, can pick and choose what scene you want to see. But remember, if you have say 10 scene markers and click on 5th, the playback will be from 5th scene to the last still on the Timeline.
    c. From Main Menu, you can hit Bonus and go directly to the stills where they will play back from the first to the last still and then return to the main menu.
    2. Major movie at Timeline level..scene markers for the scenes that will be displayed in the Scene Selection Page of the DVD-VIDEO. At the end of the major movie, place a stop marker. Leave a few frames gap. Then place your stills. At the beginning of the first still place a main menu marker. Outcome...
    a. From Main Menu, when you hit Play All, it will play from the start to the end of just the movie and then return to the main menu.
    b. From the Main Menu, when you hit Scene Selection, can pick and choose what scene you want to see in the movie. Now if there are 10 movie scene markers and you click on 5th, the playback will be from 5th scene to the end of the movie, not to the end of the stills.
    c. From Main Menu, you can hit Bonus and go directly to the stills where they will play back from the first to the last still and then return to the main menu.
    If you are incorporating some aspects of the Elements Organizer into this work, please let me know and I will incorporate the appropriate integration details. A major perk in the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor slideshow is that you can create a slideshow there, output it in a non wmv video format (.psess), and, once it gets to Premiere Elements, you can use Break Apart Elements Organizer Slideshow in order to do further work on the slideshow.
    Please review and then let me know if any of that works for you.
    Thanks.

  • Stop and play buttons...

    How would I go about adding stop and play buttons to a slideshow?
    stop1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, stop1);
    play1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, play1);
    function stop1(event:MouseEvent){
    if(this.currentFrame == 1)
    { gotoAndStop(this.totalFrames);
    function play1(event:MouseEvent){
    if(this.currentFrame == 1)
    { gotoAndStop(this.totalFrames);

    well idk if the code is even right i need help?  The way the slide show is working is i have it on the timeline....  With this code it doesnt play automatically and when i push play it goes through them in like 2 seconds and you can't see anything?
    stop1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, stopSlide);
    play1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, playSlide);
    function stopSlide(event:MouseEvent):void {
    stop();

  • Slideshow and Multi-Projects

    Windows 7 and CS4 Production Premium, LR3 and Acrobat X.
    Encore CS4 :
    Project "A": Slideshow to DVD. Set up the project (Encore CS4) with a main selection menu to allow the DVD viewer to either select manual advance or the complete set (all). I have been able to have one project for manual and one project for all but not as one project. For the "manual" selection, a timed menu is displayed explaining use of the remote's chapter buttons (|<<- and ->>|) to change slides and a return to the main selection menu is done with the title remote button. For the "all" selection the complete slide show begins directly from the main menu. Again title returns to this menu. When running the "all" operations, each slide may have a different required duration.
    Q1: Any suggestions on how to do a one project for both?
    Project "B": As per "A" but need to assign different audio clips on a slide basis. Some slides are group photographs. It is impractical to try to overlay a text description of the group individuals on the image. Need to provide an audio description of the individuals at the start of the slide and either cut it off on manual next/previous slide advance or have the slide duration equal audio length for the "all" main menu selection. The ideal support would be not only have the ability to have each slide have its own audio clip but to have another audio track to play the entire show length with ability to tone down or stop the full show audio track when a slide's audio clip plays.
    QB1: Does not appear any Adobe product supports this function for slideshows (Encore or Lightroom). Have I missed something?
    QB2: If I have not missed something (QB1), anyone have any suggestions on a product to use?
    Project "C": This is a general one for either slideshows or video DVD presentations. Say I have two slideshow projects: one has its own selection "Main" menu to select "auto" advance in a travel slide sequence and the other, a menu  to select manual advance for a scrapbook set of pages (each page a slide). Then say one video project with its own "main" menu to select chapters and/or subtitles for that sequence. Each project runs about 4 or 5 minutes.
    QC1: Is there any way to have a "master" menu to allow a DVD viewer to select the first menu of each project? This would be nice since it permits more efficient use of the DVD media.

    I'm not sure I understand, but I'll give you some reactions.

    I do not see an option other than making the slideshow twice, and including both in the same project.  One is set to manual advance, one is set to auto.  U Unless the slideshow is very long, this should not be a problem.

    This is similar (assuming I understand what you are looking for).  Make a menu with 3 buttons.  One button goes to the video menu, one to the auto-slideshow, one to the scrapbook show.  However, I don't see why you need the separate slideshow menus.  The common method is a main menu in which you select the "play video", a bu tton for the video scene selections,  a button for slideshow one, and a button for slideshow two.

    I do not see an option for per slide audio.  Also keep in mind that a DVD can only play one audio track at a time.  For example, when a "commentary" track is "added" to the audio from a movie, the DVD is playing back a single track - one that had to be specially edited with the original movie and the commentary.  Your primary option is to create the slideshow in Premiere, adding what audio you want, but this will not allow manual advance.  I don't know about other options.

  • Slideshows and movies

    Anybody know is it best to have completed movies on one DVD? Than having slideshow and movie all on one DVD.

    When adding video to iDVD, slideshows from iphoto will not show up in the media browser (the customize drawer)
    Once you send the slideshow from iphoto to idvd with the share button, idvd should open up automatically with your slideshow already imported into it.

  • Dealing with slideshows and lightboxes

    I have a site I am working on and I am using a lot of slideshows and lightboxes.  The problem I am having is that the widgets are a knightmare to setup and deal with.  I guess this is not a bug, but it just feels overly complicated to use at times because of the options and how easy it is to screw something up on them. The lighbox one seems to be the worst offender.  Placing the next and previous buttons can be a knightmare becasue I have to align them to not overlap a certain photo, but when I click to move it the widget kicks in and moves to the next photo.  I just wish the widgets were a bit easier to use right out of the gate. I am getting good at using them, I just think they could be better laid out for ease of use.
    All that said I love this program and plan to buy, and thanks for listening to my rant.

    Thanks for the feedback. We'll be working to streamline Muse's UI, widgets included, in the future to make things easier to work with.
