Slideshow export issue

I have 2 slideshows that export just fine. BUT when i combine them and then export them as a single slideshow aperture produces a file that will not open (only 4k, no alert boxes pop up to tell me anything went wrong).
Is there a maximum length or size to a slideshow?????

I was with the same problem and followed the instructions from another discussion in this forum.
Try this:
. Do a simple file search (via spotlight) on the files related to "3ivx" codec.
. Remove the files or uninstall this codec
. Try to export from iPhoto again.
That should work.
Hope this helps.

  • Slideshow export issues

I'm running Yosemite 10.10 & iPhoto 9.6.  I've created a  28 minute slideshow using the Scrapbook theme. The Slideshow plays fine in iPhoto. I export the Movie 1080p without error using the export button. The resulting file starts to play fine, and then after a minute the video continues to play but reverts to the  first frame picture. At 10 minutes the video plays normally  for 1 minute and then the same thing happens. At 20 minutes the same thing again. When I imported the file into iMovie I can see that the video has been made that way by iPhoto export (this is not a playback issue). This is totally different to how it plays within iPhoto itself. Any Ideas?

    Bill,
It looks like they are all 400x300.
I can increase or decrease that in Photoshop if need be.
    Thanks.

  • LR5 Slideshow export issue - small images

I've been having quite the difficulty exporting 1080p slideshows from Lightroom 5. After exporting to a 1080p slideshow, some images will fill the screen correctly, while others appear much smaller. I rendered full 1:1 previews to try and fix it but that didnt help. Im at a total loss. Has anyone else experienced this and/or know of a solution?
The first image is one that exports correctly, while the second is whats happening with the other smaller ones.

If you Zoom to Fill the Frame you risk loosing part of your image (the Slideshow module works in a similar way to the print module but doesn't allow you to maximise space).
This slide is Zoomed to Fill Frame (and is wrong)
This slide is not Zoomed to Fill Frame (and is right, the full photo is shown, the derelict road marker is visible and the whole sky is visible)

I've made a slideshow using a white background, zoomed to fill frame and used identity plates. It turned out exactly how I needed it to be. Now I'm making a second slideshow using all the same intro and ending screens and identity plates but with different pictures (same size as the first slideshow) and it's not the right size when exported. I feel like there is some sort of glich happening...
Are you a 100% sure you are using the same settings and the exactly the same version of LR (2 slideshows with LR5.7 for example and the same settings)?

  • IPhoto slideshow export issue

    Greetings,
I am runnng iPhoto 11 v9.4.1 and cannot export a 100 picture slideshow. I have a MacBook Pro runing 10.7.5.  After creating the slideshow, I click on the export button, select the display option of 1280 x 800 and then click OK.  iPhoto starts the export and then will quit, finder will come up with an error message: The operation can’t be completed because the item can’t be found.  The slideshow QT movie does not get created.  I also created a new iPhoto database, imported 5 pictures, created a new slideshow and then exported - I got the same error message.  I am stumped, any ideas or suggestions?
    Thank you,
    Matt

  • Remove fade in/out from iPhoto slideshow export?

I'm bringing in some pictures from iPhoto and I've had bad luck with photo resolution when I used iMovie to import the picture and apply Ken Burns effects, etc. I've seen some suggestions here to use an iPhoto slideshow export instead.
I have my settings for 1 second slides, no transition and a ken burns effect. I'd like to make an export for each picture, but iPhoto insists on opening the slideshow with a fade in and closing with a fade out. Is there any way to prevent this? I'd like to add the transitions in iMovie instead.
(I realize that the iMovie forum might be a better place for this so forgive the crosspost)

Thanks, I think I'll skip the Ken Burns for now since I've had nothing but problems with it. My issues before were that 1) iMovie would play the images in sequence just fine during playback but at export would mix up the order. 2) The resolution on the pictures was absolutely terrible. I have a new movie now and haven't seen either problem.

  • Video export issues with 5D mk II video

Using a trial version I keep running into issues with video slideshow export.
I have some 1080p '24fps' video clips from the 5D II, added them to a new Slideshow, did a Custom Export to h264 with height 720 (which from memory took the width to 1152) and 24fps - I want this to play on AppleTV, but the resulting video starts ok, but has multiple sections of blank video - in QT the frame rate has also been upped to 36fps!
It also takes a ridiculous amount of time to export a short clip, but that's seems par for the course for many of Apple's apps. This is on a 2008 8x3GHz Mac Pro with plenty of RAM, though running Leopard.
Anyone done any A/Bs of performance in Leopard vs Snow Leopard - does it make better usage of multiple cores? (They all have a little activity but it's 10% or so, perhaps 1 core at 70-80%, I can't understand even if it's not using all fully why one isn't getting maxed out with the conversion process).
The slideshow export function seems incredibly buggy - it used to output using AppleTv preset with incompatible frame rates, though they may have fixed that.

Just a thought, but 24p was just added to the markII through a firmware update.
Yes, which is why I thought it would be great for AppleTV which can only officially support 720p at 24fps (though 25fps will often work).
If I use an AppleTv preset it will now rescale to 960x540, but I want to use 1280x720.
Previously in 3.0 the AppleTV preset output 720p but at 30fps which is too high for AppleTV.
Are you sure it's not the footage? Have you tried it in FCP? Also, it maybe that 24p isn't supported in A3, but this all just conjecture on my part.
Good thought, but I would imagine QT is the engine supporting the Aperture exports, and if parameters are set correctly it should give the appropriate output.
I'll try using QT Pro and see what that does with a clip.

  • Bizzare export issue

Here is a very weird export issue. Windows XP.
Project is set at h264 1920x1080 mono audio 29.97 fps
I have 30 shots that make up the sequence. Each shot is exactly 90 frames. I exported each sequence at h264 1920x1080 with one channel of audio. The first shot exports just fine and is 5 MB. The second shot exports at 10 MB. The third is 15 MB, the tenth shot is 50MB. But the picture is still 90 frames for each shot. BUT, when I export without audio each exported file is just 5 MB. If I look at the properties of each clip the duration of the video and audio is just 90 frames. If I open one of these clips in QuickTime Pro and re-export it as source then the files size goes back to 5 MB; same video, same audio yet with the correct file size.
    Anyone seen this before?
Is there a setting that could be incorrect?
    -cablet

Weird, man. Not sure what might cause that.

  • Missing metadata after slideshow export

I love to show some metadata - like a description - within exportet JPGs. That way they are visible on any device used to present the pictures. As far as I found out this is only possible by doing a slideshow export (watermarks unfortunately can not pull information out of the metadata fields). But all the exported JPGs are missing all metadata, so I can not even sort them automatically later in other software solutions.
Any idea how I could both show the description field within/under the picture and do not loose all metadata information within the exported files?

    Sorry, I misunderstood.
Looks like you cannot have both metadata in EXIF and metadata as text overlays on the image, without using a third-party plugin.

  • Slideshow Exports are not sharp but fuzzy

Trying Slideshow in A3. Chose Export. Tried the Mobileme/Youtube setting. Uploaded to Youtube - the whole show, the images are like a low quality blurry. It looks the same if I open in iTuns or Quicktime.
SO I tried HD 720. Only slightly better, but bad.
The images are all high quality. Nikon RAW - all processed and when uploaded again via A3 - look prefect on MM.
SO I have tried each setting for SLideshow Export. Each totally unacceptable quality. WHat am I missing. I did put some original music behind it too.

If by MM you mean MobileMe, remember that the displayed resolution of the web.jpg image version used for MobileMe galleries and slideshows is never any better than 1024x1024, regardless of what Actual size you uploaded (or specified as Download size) or the size of your browser window or monitor.
So don't go crazy uploading hi-res versions if you're only going to be displaying them on-line.
    -Steve
Nope -just exported to the desktop to view. Nothing I do, or resolution has always been blurry, fuzzy.

  • Crystal JRC PDF Export Issue

We are experiencing a PDF export issue with Crystal JRC version 12.2.202.  The PDF report shows 1 of 3 pages but ONLY the first page is generated.  When this occurs, ALL other users that are exporting to PDF experience the same issue with any multiple page report.  I can't find any errors in the log that would indicate what the problem is.  To resolve the issue, I have to recycle the WebLogic application server that hosts  the JRC, which would indicate something gets "locked" in memory and gets cleared when the app server is bounced.
Any ideas on how to resolve this ?

    Hi Ted,
    Thanks for the response!
Though, the mentioned Sun JVM Bug explains the root-cause, the Bug status also state that it is not fixed yet.
Also, we are reluctant to change the JVM Option to -Xint due to unknown impacts on JVM optimizations.
Is there a patch released for CrystalReports to deal with this behavior? We are using CRJ runtime 11.5.7.620 and seeking for a patch on this version.
    Thanks.

  • PP CS5.5 FLV To MP4 Export Issues / Problems

I just upgraded from Production Premium CS5 to CS5.5. I do a fair amount of converting/exporting of imported FLV files (downloaded from internet news sites) to H.264/AAC w/ MP4 wrappers using Premiere Pro (PP) and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). My equipment is a 1+ yr. old HP Win 7 Pro w/ an Intel i970 Quadcore, 12 Gb RAM and MSI nVidia GTX 470 GPU. I have never experienced any queue or export issues w/ CS5 (at least that I noticed), but I am experiencing noticeably degraded queue export and direct export problems with these files in CS5.5.
Description: (1) The queue export times for the exact same imported FLV clip(s) using the exact same sequence settings and H.264/MP4 export settings are noticeably slower in CS5.5 (sometimes 2x, depending on the export settings, e.g. using maximum render quality) than in CS5; (2) My MSI Afterburner GPU monitoring software indicates 5-10% GPU usage during queue/export in CS5, while indicating 0% GPU usage (flatline) in CS5.5; and (3) When I attempt to direct export these files using CS5.5 I get the following error message: "The source and output audio channels are not compatible or a conversion does not exist."
I suspect that it may have something to do with "conforming" anomalies when the FLV file is imported into PP, but I would put that squarely in the category of rank speculation on my part.
Has anyone experienced the same or similar problems or have any insight into what may be the problem(s)? Of course, thanks for any help/insight you can provide.
    Jim

What do you mean by a better routine?
A better compression routine than H.264.
Is the quality better than H.264?
    Yes.
Does this use an MOV wrapper?
    Yes.
Also, would it import correctly into PPro?
    Yes.
we would import files into PPro exported out of FCP and would get a red pixelated glitch during preview and export. Does this codec solve this problem as well if it is an MOV wrapper?
I don't know anything about FCP.
Sorry for all the questions, just want to get things right before diving into a new codec.
    It's harmless, and free.
Download it and run some tests.

  • Simple flash export issue

    hello
I'm trying to export a flash video using Adobe media encoder from Premier Pro, but when I do I get this error " there are no clips to build".
I have another file that I am able to export and it does not have this problem.
They are Windows Media files and play in Premier fine. I am using Premier Pro CS3.
Lastly, I'm not a video expert but I really need to get these up on the web for work, there is a lot of pressure and I need to get it done.
    Regards,
    Tom

    fixed the exporting issue.

  • Slideshow Export ends with long black phase

I am exporting a large slideshow from iphoto. The export goes through all the pictures and movies, but after the last one the progress bar is still only halfway completed and from then on shows a black thumbnail picture (or several ongoing) and hardly moves anymore.
Not sure if the export will eventually finish. This did not happen with small slideshow exports that I tested with 4-20 pictures.
Anybody had the same problem? Any suggestions where this is coming from and how to avoid it?

Thanks, I will try that but I've had some bad experiences with imovie, the pictures don't seem to render right and you cant see the expressions on peoples faces.
I can't be the only person who has tried to sync music and pics in iphoto, and yet there is no one else on the discussions commenting on it. I've even read a tutorial about adding a commentary to your photos in iphotos by working out the timing, so it must be possible. Someone put me out of my misery please!

  • Slideshow export option plugin?

Does anyone know of a plugin to change the format of Slideshow export from mp4 to DVD format? Currently, I am converting the mp4's through DVD Flick, which works fine. It is just antoher step to do. It would be nice to just export it this way.

  • IPhoto slideshow export custom button missing

I have been exporting slideshows to QuickTime and since upgrading to '11 and snow leapord, I had a custom button on the slideshow export that is now not there.  I can only do the standard export that is an m4v file and only the standard sizes.  Anyone know where the button was deactivated?

    there is no equivalent button

    middle
    right
