Slideshow is freezing at same time spot (song transition)?

I have the most current iLife 6 suite
iDVD 6 has been good to me, but this last issue has me stumped. I have a iMovie HD movie that is less than 30 minutes. After I shared it to iDVD I added a slideshow, the slides were imported from iPhoto, preferences in iDVD were 3 seconds, dissolve transition. I added the songs from an iTunes sample folder (river walk, peach cobbler and acoustic sunrise). When previewing, and viewing a burned DVD on the G5 all is hunky dorky. In my stand alone DVD player (which has had no issues with dozens of other projects with and w/out slide shows including iTunes audio) this particular slideshow freezes.
It is always betwen the first and second song. YET when I make a DVD without the iMovie generated video footage, just a DVD with only the slideshow using the same photos, dissolves and audio selections, it plays through without a hitch.
Saving as a disc image doesn't help.
I have made an iPhoto slideshow and imported that, which plays fine, but would prefer the fast forward features of the iDVD generated slide show over the QT clip with imported iPhoto slideshows. Plus I just like it when things work.
I have done the plist removal biz.
Haven't yet tried switching songs/order yet.

Ok, I will move the chapter markers in the iMovie. I drug the 3 songs from the iTunes sample folder, info states it is an "apple lossless audio file" which I looked up in the help folder, I know that format takes up less drive space but other than that?
And yes, the saved disk image when burned to DVD would have the same freeze at the same spot, just as first song ended.

there are none in the slideshow, the movie portion of
the dvd plays fine.

Did you use MP3 music? I'm not referring to AAC or
AIFF.

Does that mean?: When playing the disk image with DVD
Player software, you have the same issue?

Having problem with a MMAPI imp.
The simplest way of doing it is to start one thread playing a audio file of any kind.. As it is playing start a other thread that start a audio recording.
As soon as the audio recording is allowed to record (Security promt) the audio playback stops. And the playerListstner sends a END_OF_MEDIA event.
So my question is: Is there a way of doing playback and recording at the same time or is this a limit on the phone or the MMAPI?
This has been tested on Nokia N90 and SE W550i with same reults

Yes, you should be able to do that easily provided your home network can handle it.
If you are trying to do this by using the Airplay icon you can't.
The correct way to do this is to access the iTunes library via AppleTV using its Computers menu.

Delete songs from playlist, library and off the hard drive at the same time

I have playlists full of captured radio streams that I keep briefly for discovering new music. But periodically I want to clean them out. I know I can delete the files from the playlist, then go in and delete the song from the main library, and the authorize iTunes to go ahead and move those songs to the trash. But since these songs are nice and efficiently grouped by playlist, I want to have the option to delete the songs from the playlist and at the same time remove them from the main library and move the actual files to the trash. Any way to do this?
I know the idea is to keep you from accidentally deleting your original song files just because you want to take them out of a playlist, but I want the option to get rid of them all together.

Answered: Select the song in the playlist, hit command-option delete, and you'll get a dialog box with the option of leaving the song in the main library or moving it to the trash.

You can click on multiple songs, and change info in the Get Info > Info screen. This applies to most fields EXCEPT Name. iTunes has never allowed the simultaneous change of Name of multiple songs, presumably on the grounds that it is usually an error to do so.
Regarding Genre, yes, this can be changed for multiple songs at once, using the Info tab of Get Info.

You can select a range of songs by selecting the first, then holding shift when clicking on the last. You can ctrl+click to add or remove from the selection. Once you have a selection press Ctrl+I to Get Info. Type in the new Genre and press OK.

i have lots of song twice or tripple in the song list. the main reason is i have them also in the source hd dupplicated. It is not easy to find the dupplicated songs in the hard disc, they are in different files with different names but same songs . ı have to delete them by checkin the files each for every duppliceted song it is not possible practically.
but in i tunes i see them all in a list and can delete. but they will still be in hard disc. If for any reason i have to reload the files to itunes, they come again and i have to start form the zero point.

Try this:
Insert a group on body_code. Then create a running total called Distinct Count. Field to summarize -> ID, Evaluate on change of group Group # 1 Body Code, and Never Reset.
Then insert a chart in the report header:
In the advanced layout, select body_code on change of and select Distinct Count running total in the Show values.

If you mean searching for a song that you already have in your Library, then you can select "Music" first. Then, go across horizontally to Genres and select that; then by using the drop-down menu found under "View" & (of course) select "View Options"-- you will be presented with a limited # of choices to sort by.
My iTunes 11.0.5 shows 4 parameters to choose from: Title, Artist, Year and Rating. Then you can sort & finally...

Yes, you can reconfigure the Time Capsule (TC) to "Join a wireless network." In this case the wireless network would be the one created by the other wireless Internet router. In this configuration, the TC can still share its internal (and external) hard drive and a printer attached to the USB port. MacBook Pro Freezes while using more than two applications at the same time

Over the last two weeks my MBP has been freezing every time i use two or more applications at the same time. For e.g. my whole system freezes from time to time when i use itunes and safari at the same time. This problem never existed before and has just started recently and is really annoying. What can i do to fix it?

Rather than re-installing Safari have you tried simply "Resetting" it (head to "Reset safari" under the "Safari" menu). It is possible that something in your user folder that supports Safari is really the cause of the problem. Re-installing Safari won't deal with this, but re-setting it can.
In fact the first thing you should try is simply choosing "Empty cache..". If your cache files are corrupted then this in itself could explain the behaviour.
If you choose to do the Reset first try it with just "Empty cache" and "remove all website icons" selected. This will reduce the amount that you will "lose" in the process. (Cookies, history, etc). Add in additional options if the first attempt doesn't fix it.

Yosemite Freezing at the same time on 3 Mac Pros

I've installed Yosemite on 3 Mac Pro's ( variety of models, 2010 and 2011)
They are all regularly freezing up at exactly the same time.
When I say freeze, I mean everything is unresponsive except the cursor still moves. The clock stops for the duration of the freeze, the macs lose their connection to the network ( I can't access them via ARD)
They all burst back into life around 5 minutes later
Sometimes the time between freezes is an hour, some times longer

You can do it with Automator.

My MacBook Pro 15" Late 2013 Retina freeze every hour at the very same time. Before every freeze in console i see something like this:

I have 512GB SSD Drive which has 2 partitions. One for Mac OS X 10.9.4 (13E28) one for Windows 8 (which I'm not using) also I have Parallel Desktop App which I use once a month. Also I'm using TimeMachine + external HDD (do backups once in 2 weeks).
Everything was ok for 4 month. A month ago I've start experiencing freezes 1-2 a day and now it became worse, every hour. I've try to repair disk permissions, repair disk. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I read in one of the website that some people fixed this issue updating ssd firmware. But I'm not sure where to get firmware for my ssd.

There are two options, keep the Time Machine HDD connected full time or turn Time Machine off and on only when you want to make the backup.
