Slideshow pictures blank in preview

I'm creating a DVD with several slideshows and one of them doesn't show the pictures when I preview it. It does the transitions but the "pictures" are just white and blank. What should I do? TIA!

Where are the photos from? iPhoto? If so can you view the full sized version in iPhoto OK?

Select one and hit the Space bar to view it in QuickLook. Use the forward arrow keys to move from file to file. If the file can't be viewed in the QuickLook mode then the file is damaged and probably can't be copied or moved.
You could try a photo file recovery application like MediaRECOVER which can scan the memory card and tell you what files, if any, can be recovered before you have to purchase it.

Slideshow Thumbnails Blank - Some pictures missing

My first time using iWeb and iPhoto to publish pictures to the web. The iPhoto interface to Homepage seemed to do this much easier... but anyway.
I created my album, clicked the iWeb button, chose a template, updated text and gave my pictures captions. Published to .Mac and when I view the slideshow, the navigation part at the top is all blank pictures, and the slides change very slowly. Most of the pictures do show up in the slideshow - but some don't. Looking at my iDisk, I have plenty of free space and all the pictures (including the thumbnails) appear to be there. If I click on each picture by itself on the main page it loads and shows the pictures one a time that way.
I've removed the files from iDisk and uploaded again, I've erased the site and tried again etc. I've tried Safari, Firefox and Explorer (on a PC). I've cleared the Safari cache, reloaded pages etc. Always the same thing. maybe mucking around and deleting has caused issues? If so - how do I reset everything? Any suggestions?
Running on my PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0, 10.4.5, iPhoto 6.0.2 and iWeb 1.0.1.

There is also no reflection that I've seen on other's sites. Not sure why. The reflection is neat and not sure I'm bought into it - but maybe it's a symptom of what's going on here.

I see it now as well. Wonder why there was a delay. Perhaps I whacked out the iDisk somehow and it too some time to clean itself up ?? Not sure - but you are right - it works. Thanks for checking and helping out.

Blank pictures on the previews Whats up

Hi I have read some the posts on this issue with other people and I thought I had understood them but maybe not. I have the same problem as some of you I cannot see me previews of pictures when I download off of my card from my camera or my printer. I am currently running Vista 32bit. I have install Photoshop CS3 and lightroom 2.3. And pretty much that is when my problems started. my raw pictures are not showing up and my jpegs now. Help me please. I have just recently selling my pictures and if I had not put my pictures on discs i would of been out of luck. I really relied on this program to help me stay straight with my clients, they are now asking for reprints help.

FYI, I am using windows Vista 64 and I had just installed a new printer and thought the prints were a bit dark. Looked in the forums and started reading up on calibrating monitors, and how to set up lightroom to print. I followed the advice of some guy who suggested setting the monitor to Epson gamma 2.2, which I did( but it was called "Grey gamma 2.2). Anyway, when I turned off Lightroom and restarted it......No photos....they were there OK as I could read the data, but no images on display. In fact the loupe image displayed whatever was in the window behind!...Very disconcerting!
Anyway, going to the monitor setup again in Control Panel and picking sRGB has solved the problem INSTANTLY. (I am so happy I enrolled on this forum...a thing i never do, just to thank you )

I need to add videos and pictures and text and slideshows to different areas of the site. I put them in place and then as soon as I preview and start to scroll they fly all over the place.

Photo images blank in Preview

Thanks for any help with this. All attachments (jpeg images) in emails are no longer visible in preview. I can see the photos on the sidebar, and when I select print preview I can see them also. If I try to rotate the photo on the preview pane, it rotates in the sidebar, as though the photos were there, but the screen is blank. Text attachments open fine, and I can open photos in iphoto. This is only occurring with photos.
I've been around the block on all the preview preferences, and nothing changes. This is a new problem since changing laptops and to snow leopard. (I cloned my old laptop onto the new one, and this wasn't a problem previously.)

This did not work for me, I open a jpeg file and the picture is blank but I can see the icon of the file on my desktop. Also some pdf files open up with just meanlingless text where the text should be.
Both will open fine with Acrobat 9.
I also have problems viewing streaming video sites with quicktime X ....
Snow leopard has not been goos so far.
Any other ideas?

IDVD Slideshow picture glitch

I keep getting a rogue image in one of my slideshows that pops up at the end of the slideshow. It doesn't appear in the preview mode and I already deleted the entire slideshow and redragged all the pictures back into the slideshow. This one image keeps popping up at the very end in between the dissolve. How can I get rid of it and how can I actually preview the disk image without having to burn an entire DVD? Please help!

If you double-click the disk image, a virtual disc will appear on your desktop. Follow the instructions below for selecting and playing.
Suggest you create a disc image and then burn the DVD. File/Save As Disc Image...

This will isolate any encoding/burning issues you may encounter. Once the disc image is created, double-click the .img and burn the virtual disc that should appear on your desktop, using Toast to burn the DVD. Disk Utility to burn the .img file. Usually, you can select a burning speed in Disk Utility.
Open Disk Utility (in Utilities folder in Applications folder), click on the virtual disc (not the .img, the one below) in the left-hand window. Click the Burn icon. A new window should drop down. Select a burn speed. Your SuperDrive tray will open after clicking the Burn icon. Insert a recordable DVD. (DVD-R preferred by me.) Click the Close button. Wait. Then click the Burn button.

b Also, you can use DVD Player to play the virtual disk to check your iDVD 5 project before burning to DVD. Launch DVD Player. File/Open VIDEO_TS (Open DVD media... in Player 4.6). Find the VIDEO_TS folder and open that. (The audio folder is for DVD-Audio disks.)

Recently updated to iphoto 9.2, I have blank thumbnail previews.

I have recently updated to iPhoto 9.2 (626), my most recent imported pictures have blank thumbnails. I have tried to rebuild the thumbnails, and have tried to import new photos with multiple settings on the camera and nothing seems to be the fix.
I am running OSX 10.6.8

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Pics from new phone show up as blank in Preview. HELP!

Installed Leopard today, and the pics form my new phone show as blank in a very wide preview. The pic files arent corrupt or anything, they open in photoshop, safari etc... Only other detail i can give is that they usually open rotated. The old phone (Razr) pics open fine, thi is a Krzr.

Are the pics saved as a .jpeg file on your computer??
If not you just have to change the file name to xxx.jpeg and then you should be able to view your pictures...
My phone does that to me every now and again..

PDF's are blank in Preview

I hope this is an appropriate place to post this question...
I have come across some PDF files that when opened in Preview are blank. The number of pages will be correct, but each page is blank. I can open these PDF's just fine using Adobe's Acrobat Reader, however I prefer to use Preview for its speed and simplicity. Does anyone have any idea why some PDF's are blank when opened using Preview? I want to note that one of the PDF's that I tried to open recently did not have anything special about (no forms, no extra JavaScript), it was just a plain old PDF. Any ideas?

A form has to be saved in Preview in order for it to be corrupted, not merely opened. What OS is used when opening a corrupted PDF in Reader/Acrobat doesn't matter.

OWA Blank Attachment Preview with Office Web Apps Server

After implementing Office Web Apps server per the Integration with Exchange 2013 instructions, attachment previews in OWA show up as blank windows. The pop up says Opening your mailbox, then goes blank. I have the WAC endpoint configured in Exchange,
I can access the discovery URL from the Exchange servers, and I am seeing event 142. Some forums say that these events should be in the CAS application logs. I am seeing mine in the Mailbox server app logs. Has anyone seen a similar issue.
I have also attempted to view the ULS logs on the Office Web Apps server, but I don't see anything that looks like a rendering request. But, I also don't know what that request would look like. The Exchange and Office Web Apps server are
in the same network with no firewall in between them The local firewalls have also been turned off, so any type of blockage should not be the issue.

Slideshow showing up in preview but not online?

I''m running Dreamweaver CS3. I am working on a shop website for racing products that you can see at www.proheader.com/alpha.html
As you can see on that page, there is a large white space under the orange bar titles Featured Products. That is where the flash slideshow is supposed to be. I uploaded the .swf file in the same directory as the html file. I also uploaded the scripts folder with the AC_RunActiveContent.js file. When I preview the slideshow in DW, it shows up but when I see it on my website, it doesnt show up. I need the slideshow implented soon, and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!
