Slideshow Widget and Composition Widget Synchronizing Problem

I have a slideshow with images and composition widget of text that corresponds with each slide. The settings are the same for both, works fine on desktop yet on the tablet and iphone versions, they are messed up.
Here's the BC site: dezinegirl
I have been waiting for Customer Care via Chat to figure it out looking at my files, but it's been an HOUR and I don't think he knows.
Anyone else have this issue?
BTW: I am working with a purchased template.
Thanks!

Hi Pam,
Instead of using the slideshow widget in sync with the composition widget, I will suggest that you switch to using one composition widget. Slideshow widgets does not allow text frame but composition widgets allows images as well as text frames. So you can allocate individual text frames to each target and that should give you the effect that you are looking for with no sync issues.
Let me know if you need more clarifications on this.

  • Muse COMPOSITION Light Box Display Widget and other Widgets

    How is one supposed to import images into the COMPOSITION Lightbox Display Widget.  I followed an Adobe tutorial that said, "place an image to the page, then cut the image so it's on the clipboard, then paste it to the thumbnail".
    This seems ridiculously tedious and  time consuming.
    Why is there no right click menu on the thumbnail itself for placing images?
    After following these instructions I was confronted with the fact that the image did not resize automatically to fit the thumbail.  To get the "Trigger", "Image Frame" and "Image"  to be equal in size using the arrow tool is no quick task.  (Muse badly needs "fit frame to content" buttons.)
    I managed to link several images to several "Triggers" but can't figure out how to link more than one image to the "Target" div.
    The "Target" Image frames are stacked one on top of the other so once I linked an image to one of the large target hero slides in the gallery it was impossible to link any other images.  It is possible to drag out the "Target" frames so that they are visible so long as the gallery doesn't exceed five images and one has the available screen space.  But this brings me to my next issue with Muse.
    Why don't the alignment tools work in any of the widgets? It's so extreemly time consuming and tedious to have to size and center all images by hand.  What makes it more tedious is that there doesn't seem to be an isolation mode where one can just work with the image portion of a gallery widget without accidently selecting other parts of the widget instead.
    Why doesn't "group" functionality work inside the Muse widgets?  The ability to group objects would make scaling and resizing tolerable.
    In addition to trying to use the COMPOSITION Lightbox Display Widget I also tried the SLIDESHOW Lightbox Widget and had many of the same issues as described above, save importing images.  What is the intended distinction between the Composition Lightbox and the Slideshow Lightbox?
    I wanted to build a website in Muse because I thought it would be quick and easy without the tediousness of hand coding.  However I'm finding it's taking longer to do things in Muse since the widgets have such limited functionallity and the customization tools are so clunky.
    What workflows did the Muse team have in mind for customizing image galleries, specifically with regards to linking images for thumbnails and large slides; scaling lagre slide images for uniformity of size and centering slide images?  Or is Muse just a victim of it's own simplicity?
    I would love to know that there are indeed workflows for these issues otherwise I see more disadvantages than advantages in using Muse over other tools.

    I would also like to know this. I am having trouble editing a composition gallery from a purchased template. I basically want a lightbox gallery with triggers on top for different categories. :/

  • How to VAlidate Google Widget  and pageflakes Widget URL

    Hello every-one , we r using google and pageflakes widgets in our site.
    and we check these urls like this
    HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
    GetMethod method = new GetMethod(url);
    method.setFollowRedirects(false);
    int statusCode = client.executeMethod(method);
    But it is give us the status code of url , but it is not provide complete validation that there is widgets or not on that url.
    so plg give the answer of this question soon.

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Google suggestions can be shut off by installing 3rd party add-on Glims. When installed, Glims preference settings/options are found as a separate panel in Safari Preferences. Also, a much more functional search panel replaces Safari's default window.
    Regarding the URL prompts, press the space bar once before typing the URL. No prompts appear. This is the only workaround.

  • AC 8 - Does this version come stock with the email widget and print widget?  Are there other non stock widgets I should also purchase?

    Thinking of purchasing AC8 for training and quizzes / assessments.  Does it come with the print and email widgets?  Are there other widgets I might also need that don't come stock in Version 8?
    Thanks
    Tina

    Thanks Lilybiri for your response.  I had a version of Captivate version 7 and had to purchase an email piece separately so I would receive notifications on quiz completions etc.  I just need to know if that would also be the case for the print function and email function in 8.
    Thanks

  • Youtube widget and audio widget crashes gmail

    Hi -
    I have my site as a business catalyst site - and on some machines, it crashes gmail when I open youtubes or the audio widget I bought from Musegrid.
    Has anyone had this happen?  And perhaps when I host from GoDaddy or sim, this problem will go away?
    Thanks -

    Hi
    Please share the site url and exact steps you are taking to replicate the issue.
    It should not crash any other browser site.

  • Restful services, widgets and the widget foundation

    Hi,
    I installed the widget foundation and found the tutorial helpful when craeting a simple RFC call widget for displaying a customers details.
    In the description document I raed even RESTful services can be created with the foundation.
    Is a tutorial or at least a prototype application available ? How can  a REST service be build in SAP anyway (say for a customer) ?
    Would be great to skip all the RFc and SOAP stuff in favour of http://myserver:port/customers/12345 for all the details.
    Any help on this is appreciated.
    Marcus

    REST service can be simple BSP page which takes some parameters and process them and returns the result in xml or json format.
    check out my weblog at /people/durairaj.athavanraja/blog/2006/10/10/sap-logged-on-users-list-widget ,
    i am using a similar approach

  • BCS and BW fields synchronizing problem

    Dear all,
      I want to add a field for document description in BCS, so I first add that field into the document ODS. However, I don't know how to synchronize this filed to BCS side. Someone tells me how to do? Thanks.
    Jin Ming

    To the best of my knowledge this cannot be accomplished. The Documents ODS is created automatically via generation of the BCS databasis.
    One option that may work, is adding this as a characteristic to the BCS transactional Infocube, assigning it the dimension of sub-assignment, and regenerating the databasis. However, doing this will require breakdown categories to allow this as optional for each item that entries are to be made.

  • Slideshows within composition widgets

    Is it possible when inserting different slideshows into a composition widget (different slideshows placed within different targets) to have the slideshows start from the beginning when the corresponding trigger is clicked? I'd like the slideshow to play in order, starting with the first slide, when the trigger is clicked rather than have it playing continuously when viewing other targets.

    Hello,
    Unfortunately it is not possible to start the Slideshow when the Composition Trigger is clicked.
    All the slideshows with Autoplay option enabled start as soon as the page loads.
    I would suggest you to post this as a feature request on our "Ideas for features in Adobe Muse" section of the forums : http://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas

  • Slideshow Starts When Clicking Trigger in Composition Widget

    When inserting different slideshows into a composition widget (different slideshows placed within different targets), have the slideshows start from the beginning when the corresponding trigger is clicked. The slideshow would play in order, starting with the first slide, when the trigger is clicked rather than have it playing continuously when viewing other targets.

    This seems like a no-brainer. I mean why would we want all slideshows to start at the same time when you're only viewing one at a tme. WHen I click from one slideshow to another, it should start from ONE! Muse staff....any ideas?!!!

  • Issue with Anchor Links in Composition Widget

    Hoping for some help regarding anchor links. I was successful in nesting a Slideshow widget within a Composition widget. The Composition widget contains six panels, each of which contains one Slideshow. Thankfully, that all works as it’s supposed to.
    What I want is to direct users (from another page on my site) to a specific Slideshow within the Composition widget (i.e., for example, to the slideshow on the third panel of the Composition). The anchor link does work in that it directs users to the page with the Slideshow/Composition combo. However, it displays the first panel in the Composition and not the third. I’ve tried inserting the anchor link on top of the actual picture in the Slideshow, and also within one of its text labels. Still the same result.
    My question … can an anchor link be used to direct someone to a specific panel within the Composition widget? Perhaps I can export my site to HTML, open the .html file in Dreamweaver and … I don’t know, move or rename the anchor somehow? Is anyone else having this issue?

    This is a bit late in the day looking at the date of your post, but I asked the same question recently and Brad Lawryk answered (thanks Brad - saved me hours of fiddling!):
    Unfortunately the only way to do this now would be to save a copy of the page with the desired tab focused. Unfortunately this does cause duplicate content and is not SEO friendly though.

  • Composition Widget: Why won't my triggers sit atop my content box?

    I made a slideshow with the Composition widget. I want to move my triggers to sit on the main content window, in front of the photo content. But when I move them, the triggers will only sit behind the content window, not in front of it. What am I doing wrong? Object--> Bring to Front does nothing. Thanks-

    Hi
    You can use slideshow widget for this, as because with composition we can place the trigger but only to its corresponding target container.
    We cannot insert all triggers inside every target container, slideshow is the best option for this as you can place the thumbnails over slide images.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Slideshow within composition widget - 100%width image causes bug

    Hi community,
    I asked once before for a solution.
    Tried to solve it by myself, but everything I tried didn't change the problem and no one posted something similar.
    I placed a combination of a composition and a slideshow widget at my site because I want to have
    - triggers on which you can klick
    - 100% width images
    - the background images of the middle part of the site should change together with the slideshow image
    So I placed in every target of the composition widget a slideshow with only one image (set to 100% width) and the other elements.
    When I start the preview in the browser (Safari+Firefox), the images of the slideshow are set to 100% indeed, but the most times during the slideshow they are shifted to the right (always to the position where the other content starts),
    or - if I have a very small browser window - they are shifted to the left.
    In that moment I change the size of browser window a bit, they switch back to their 100%width look.
    Can anyone help me?
    Add some screenshotsr better understanding
    If I set the images not to 100%width it works well.
    Thanks
    nadine

    Did you find an answer to this?  If so, it would be great to see what you found.
    If not, I've come up with a workaround although it's not the best designed solution, but it works.
    First an explanation.  Although I didn't spend enough time researching Adobe Muse generated JavaScript for all the details, I found that the slideshow seems to correctly dynamically set its pixel width to a width that spans the browser window, however the css left property is not always dynamically adjusting properly and therefore shifts the image off of the screen. This appears to be something buggy or unintentional with the Adobe Muse generated code.
    So to solve this, the workaround is to keep triggering the window resize event so that the left property updates through the Adobe Muse generated script.  It would be better of course to trigger this only when the slideshow changes.  Or would even be better if the Adobe Muse team fixes the bug as well as makes it easier to create 100% width compositions so that the slideshow workaround is not even needed.
    In the meantime, here's how to implement the fix:
    1) In Adobe Muse, go to the page that your slideshow exists on
    2) Object > Insert HTML...
    3) Paste the below JavaScript
    <script>
    function triggerResize() {
    //trigger resize event
    if (document.createEvent) { // W3C
        var ev = document.createEvent('Event');
        ev.initEvent('resize', true, true);
        window.dispatchEvent(ev);
    } else { // IE
        document.fireEvent('onresize');
    //call the trigger evey 100 milliseconds
    setInterval(function () {triggerResize();}, 100);
    </script>

  • Composition widget slideshow won't auto resume on mobile

    I have a composition widget which is working as a slideshow. Works absolutely fine on desktop but the scaled down mobile version won't auto resume once you touch a slide.
    I have tried changing resume after times but it makes no difference. It also makes no difference if show target is set to click or rollover.
    If anyone can offer any suggestions, it's the first time I've encountered this issue!
    Thanks.
    It

    yes thank you, that does solve the problem.  I'm guessing this is an issue with muse, its a pity you can't still have swipe and auto-resume, maybe Adobe could comment on this?
    Thanks again

  • Muse Crashes After Editing Composition Widget and Trying to Preview

    I'm working on a site that has a Composition widget (used as a slideshow, stacked options). To duplicate some content I go to one trigger container, Copy a graphic, select the next trigger then Paste In Place. After doing a few of these I try to Preview (sometimes in Muse, sometimes in Browser) but Muse invariable crashes with the message "DBCW/assertTheDataBaseFileIsUnchange- Database file has been modified externally".
    I tried saving the site first, then Previewing, but Must still crashes with the same message.
    Right now I need to shut Muse down before Previewing my work, not the greatest workflow.
    This is Release v 7.2, Build 232, Build 779928.
    Thanks for any HELP!

    Yup, that was it. The site muse file was on an NAS; I moved it to my local drive and the problem went away. Inconvenient to be sure, but at least I can work. I'm going to try to put the site muse file on an external USB drive, maybe I can make it portable that way.
    Thanks for the response.

  • 'Blank' and 'Tooltip' Composition Widget disappearing

    I have created a slideshow of sorts using the 'blank' composition widget (also tried 'tooltip comp'). I chose to use this so that I can add interactivity eventually and link text. Everything is working fine, until I start scrolling down the page. Once the composition is about half-way underneath my top menu, it completely disappears and no slides are visible. I've checked my scrolling/opacity settings and cannot for the life of me figure out what is triggering this. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! The composition I'm referring to is the first one that appears on the page, just as the top menu drops down and contains a slide that says 'connect'.

    Thanks in advance!

    Place the trigger where it should be and rearrange the sequence of the triggers by changing their stacking order: Rightclick the trigger and choose "Arrange/…". The most backward trigger is the first one to open.
