Slideshow with text instead of thumbnails

Hello all,
Is it possible to create a slideshow that instead of thumbnails has text? So the images names are placed on the side of the slideshow window and the user can change the image by clicking on their name.

The good news is when you use the Composition > Featured News widget (aka trigger/target) it has a nice "repeat" function. If you delete all trigger/targets except the first one (I think we give you three by default), style the trigger (add the image name, set the font, color and such), then hit the + sign to add a second trigger/target Muse will apply whatever text and styling you've applied to the first to the duplicated second. That way all you really need to do is change the name from say Image 1 to Image 2.

I am not sure what program (if any) will do this. We need to make a presentation .... photos, with some text and music.
I know you can do the slideshow in iphoto.....with music...but not sure about the text portion.
Any advice or pointers would be GREAT!!!

Help with setting up individual thumbnails with captions

I'm wondering how would be the best way to set up several individual thumbnails (in dreamweaver) which open up to a larger image with a caption; so they are set up like this site:

Maybe there is a widget for doing this??
I see lots of ways to do thumbnails with captions but not lots of single one like in the site above...

Option to have bullets instead of thumbnails within slideshows

Hi,
I think it would be great to have the possibility to insert bullets instead of thumbnails for slideshows. Like they have it here e.g.: http://projects.craftedpixelz.co.uk/craftyslide/
Of course I can make the thumbs extremely small and with rounded corners so that the impression of bullets occur, but this seems circuitous. Any other ideas?

Just got it! Terry White teaches in his video "How To create a hero slideshow with Muse" how to do it - he does it using the tooltip-widget. Smart!

Slideshow with clickable thumbnail

Hi everybody
I want to to a slideshow with thumnail that you can click and that will show a large version of the picture.
Is the a smart way to do this like 'dynamic text', so that I dont have to assign 'show and hide element' to all the images?

Thank you for helping me filling my gaps in CSS3 : background-image is indeed a good track.
Regarding the dimensions problem :
• "background-size":"contain" resizes the image so that it just fits inside the containing element, even if there is some blank space left over
• "background-size":"cover" resizes the image so that the entire element is covered, even if some of the background image hangs over the edges and out of view.
To handle images with varying dimensions : "background-size":"auto"
Thus, adapting Zaxist's example :
• thumbnails : a slider symbol with a nested container symbol, itself receiving dynamically created instances of a placeHolder symbol (containing an empty div divThumbnail) ;
• picture : an empty bigPicture symbol

The JSON file stores the radicals. And for each there is a <radical>.jpg file and a <radical>T.jpg file (thumbnail).

When i export from lightroom slideshow and choose the 1920x1080 resolution the end product is a very small video in the middle of a black background. i have double checked and do not have any borders turned on. Another option would be to export from the library but lr mogrify does not seem to put text overlays on video either. Any input would be welcome.

Problem with Alt Text output from thumbnail image of Lightbox widget

I’m having a problem with the Lightbox widget not producing alternative text based on the image properties. I’ve set ALT text for the image properties on both the larger Ligtbox image as well as the thumbnail. But the HTML output from Muse does not include the ALT text on the thumbnail version of the image. Here’s an example:

This may be a problem that came in a previous release of Muse. I have a few older examples where ALT text is produced, but it’s no longer updated if I update the Image Properties.

How do i create gallery with text under thumbnails?

Hi. Im new in Muse and im trying to learn. My next challenge is to make thumbnails with text under like this:
And when visitors click a thumbnail it should pop up the original size picture in a lightbox. A mouseover big pic
should also work.
Like this site. Affinity Surfaces | Color Gallery Here they have text on thumbnails and when you click on it it shows the full aize pic

I had to manually put pic in thumbnail and in lightbox. (or is it an other way?)
I also had to put the text under thumbnail manually... but thats ok. To bad i cant group it with the thumbnail.
Is it a way around that?

Spry Image Slideshow with Filmstrip, thumbnail problem in Safari

I'm adding a spry image slideshow with filmstrip in Dreamweaver CS5 on a Mac. I have a folder of images with a large and small (Thumbnail) version of the photos I'd like to use. I've relinked all of the images that are inserted as placeholders by the widget: Source for thumbnail versions and link for large versions. When I preview in Firefox all is well. When I preview in Safari, the filmstrip has white boxes rather than the thumbnail images. Everything else is fine. (It previews correctly in Safari before I change the links.) What am I doing wrong?

I have a similar problem. I've added a note to reference your problem. I've not got an answer to date.

Slideshow with pure text

Is it possible to make a slideshow with pure text, for quotations, in Muse without too much trouble?

Sure! I think that ant of the composition widgets would work well, however I would use the tooltip widget! You can use images, text, or any combination! There is also an "auto play" feature that you can use to automate the sideshow!

Is it possible to get the my searchengines back vertical with text as it always was, instead of seeing only the icons ?

in the menu bar at the top, there's the search bar. I have a lot of searchengines, and they show up when you press on the magnifying glass.
however since the latest update i guess. I only see the icons of my searchengines.
Is it possible to get them back vertically with text on the right of the icons. because i had them arranged in a specific order and knew exactly where the click when i performed a specific search.
now with only icons, it is more difficult because i have to hover over them to see the text which icon wich searchengine is.
so, i hope i can get them back to show up vertically :) with accompanied text.

That is the new Search Bar scheme which was introduced in Firefox 34, back in early December.
You can revert to the former scheme like this.

When I import or drag/drop an image from Finder into Pages, it floats the image instead of keeping it inline with text

I'm new to Pages and I've searched online for an answer to this question but haven't found anything quite what I need.
When I import an image from Finder (or drag and drop from Finder) into Pages, the Text Wrap default is "automatic" which seems to be "in front of text." I have to manually click each image and then change it from "Automatic" to "Inline With Text." Is there a way to change the default so it's not "Automatic" but "Inline With Text" to save me these steps for every single image I import?
(If importing from Media Browser would behave differently, I don't use iPhoto except for Photo Stream so I need to bring them in from where I've saved them in my Finder.)

Good questions... I'll have to try and figure out when the problem first happened - I was thinking it was when I upgraded to Safari 5.1.4 but that might not be the case... I'll try your suggestions to see if any of them eliminate the problem (I have restarted recenlty and that didn't fix it) but I'll try repairing permissions,etc. Thanks!
hmmm... Mcbuffy: are you implying that you *don't* get the webloc when dragging an image out of Safari and that this isn't a caused by change to Safari but is a big/conflict in mine?

Phone is really slow with text messages

hi, im new here and lookin for a little help. iv had the phone for a few months and now my curve freezes when i try to open a text message. also when i press send it freezes up. i dont have to restart it or anything but it takes about 7 seconds to regain itself. this only happens with text messages. emails work fine, facebook notifications work fine. i send and receive quite a bit of texts, emails, and facebook notifications and i have 14 applications. i did the update/ recovery& reboot thing on my computer. i have wifi preferred as my connection preference and tmobile is my mobile network. any tips? or do i have to just live with this?
EDIT: i searched around on the forum a little bit and resolved the issue. i didnt know that it was only happening when i texted one person because i mostly only text this one person. but i guess i had to go to my phone book and text this person thru that instead of just replying. after that i can open and reply with no problem. sorry for takin up space on the forum. im new lol

Sometimes I think I don't get told about a message until I unlock my phone and when I do I get a notification and a text tone as I unlock and it can be off a conversation I was having 10/15 minutes ago.
