Slideshows don't function on tablet versions?

Is anyone having an issue with slideshows and drop down menus on tablet versions. I cannot get these to work.
Home page: About and Services has a drop down that works perfectly on desktop version but no go on tablet.

May I know which widget did you use to create these slideshows?
Please send you .muse file tous at [email protected] If your file is greater than 20mb you can use something like Adobe SendNow or SendThisFile.

Tablet version - Slideshow prevents scrolling when touching the slideshow

Hi There,
On the tablet version of my site here: http://cmmconstruction.businesscatalyst.com
When you get to the slideshows in the portfolio section of the site, they are preventing the user from being able to scroll up and down while touching the actual slideshow - swipe is enabled but I'd prefer to not use lightboxes for the tablet site.
This scrolling bug is not an issue on the phone version which contains the same type of slideshow widget.
Because of this the user must touch outside the slideshow in order to scroll and navigate the site on the tablet.
Is there a way to allow swipe enabled slideshows while also letting you scroll the site?

I am having the same issue since the upgrade to 2014 this is something that needs to be fixed it is preventing my site from scrolling vertical over a slideshow in the layout??? This has to be a mistake...

I have two big problems with my own site www.mhgrafikdesign.de:
1. I have different slideshows in my tablet version of my site. I created the slideshow before one of the updates with the feature "Enable swipe" came out. However, it worked well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1n. Now I have a Microsoft Surface and it's not working anymore although "Enable Swipe" is enabled. I don't know if the Microsoft Surface has problems with the slideshow or one of the updates has "damaged" my slideshow. Please help me! Any ideas?
2. I have a HTC 8S smartphone and if I type www.mhgrafikdesign.de my smartphone always show me the tablet version. Any idea why? P.S. Swiping there is also not possible.

This is now a slideshow created with Muse: Homepage
The slideshow uses fullscreen mode and was build with the latest version of Muse. On my Win8-Tablet, it is not working. I tested this with the IE11 in desktop- and in modern-ui-mode.
Next to this problem, I also run into these things:
1. Using the buttons to go forward and backward in the slideshow will select the text-arrow inside the button when touched.
2. Clicking the forward- and backward-button behaves different. Windows Desktop -> slideshow does not roll back, so you can click forever in one direction, no feedback that you reached the end. On iOS -> slideshow will be rolled back and you get the visual feedback to start over again.
3. Zoom into the fullscreen-slideshow will result in strange and not really controllabel behaviour. Zooming in does not allow to pan.
But I am not talking only about the phones. It is more about windows tablets in general. So, content can be viewed in the InternetExplorer11 in desktop-mode and also in modern-UI-mode (touch does work in both modes). But it is also possible, that people use other browsers like Firefox and Chrome. I think, it would be a quite a good idea to translate the movement of the mousepointer into gestures. Can you convert your desktop site plan into the phone & tablet version without re-creating the landing pages? This seems too extensive to have to re-design each page?

On your nav bar there is a shorcut to other pages.
The most effecient way I have found to do this from the phone layout,
click on the page icon shown above
type in the name of the page (and select the desktop version as indicated by the icon of the monitor)
select all on that page (CTRL A / Command A) and copy (CTRL C / Command C)
revert back to the phone layout page and paste (CTRL V / Command V)
then resize, delete what you dont need, make any other edits and your done!
There is not a way to copy a page entirely over. The mobile version should have less information and less imagery to enable fast load times.

Planning function to copy version A of year 2007 to Version B of 2008 - IP

I have a copy planning function which has a variable on from version and to version and it works fine.I can copy.So version to version for the same year works fine.
           Another requirement is to copy Version A of year 2007 to version B of year 2008.For this in the planning function I made version,year and calyearmonth all 3 as changeable and have variables on from version from year and to version and to year.I don't have a variable on calyearmonth.
          I run the query for version B and year 2008 and CALYEARMONTH 1/2008-12/2008 and it returns empty results as there is no data for version B for year 2008.then I execute the planning function to copy data from version A and year 2007 to version B and year 2008.I am getting the following error "CalyearMonth is not included in selection".I ran the query for 1/2008 - 12/2008.I didn't understand this.
        In the planning function filter I don't have any filter for calyear and calyear month.But it is there in the query.

Hi Siva,
Since you do not have the calmonth as the change characteristic in your plannning function.The values would be copied to year 2008 with month as #.
So there would be no values for months of 2008 and hence you are getting that error.
You need to copy the month figures also for data to be seen in the report.
Assign points if useful.

Well if you haven't already read it two or three times the User manual is really very good. Apple really did a nice job with it. The on-line version is nice because it is searchable.
After that the Apple Pro Training Series book Aperture 3 is very useful. Its basically split into three parts. The library, adjustments and sharing. In addition if you get all the way through it you can take the Certification test and become, well certified.
Rwboyer who posts here on and off has a good site and a couple of ebooks that I found useful.

actually a very similar problem here. the recording was 35 min and it jumps and skips down to about 7 min. I thought it was a problem with the wav file that was recorded so I converted it to mp3 to and the same problem.
i do have firmware 1.2.1 but had never successfully used it before this attempt. did you ever get any resolution on this?

After I downloaded and installed the latest iTunes upgrade (to 10.5.1), I am no longer able to download free app upgrades for the apps I have on my iPad/iPhone/iMac which i had previously purchased. Itunes tells me I "don't own the major versions".

Actually It doesn't. It says he's on a MacBook. I don't know all the different types of Macs. I was having a ton of problems with iChat. I opened DMZ to my computer, knocked down all firewalls etc and left everything exposed, still with bad results. A few weeks ago my power supply went out on my D-Link. I bought a linksys. Since I'd left all firewalls off I figured it couldn't be the router. I power cycled everything n the netork, still no luck. Today I bought a universal Power supply and started up my D-Link Router. Everything worked perfectly. My wifes computer - a laptop running Tiger worked fine with the Linksys and did my machine before the Leopard upgrade. Now that I've got the D-Link online everythings working.

When I try to preview my site in the browser it will only show the tablet version.

I am having an issue with 'preview in browser'. When I try to view the desktop version of a site in preview it will only bring up the tablet version no matter what design editor I am on. I tested it out on a few designs with tablet versions and those will only use the tablet version in preview also.
Any idea what is going on? I use Muse extensively and am ususally able to resolve any bugs that come my way, however this seems to be the only big issue I am not able to resolve.

That solution is for after the muse site is published.
I have the same issue as iamDK. The preview in browser option only returns the tablet version, while the preview screen in muse works just fine. I exported the site as html and the tablet and phone version open just fine, but the desktop version still shows the tablet page. Incredibly frustrating. Any other thoughts?

There is an updated version number 10.7.0.21 that is available if you go to the iTunes link here on Apple.com. It won't show up under Apple Software Update and if you check for updates via iTunes it likely won't show either.

That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...

Built my desktop and tablet site in Muse. Desktop works fine, tablet version does not redirect when viewed on iPad.

Do I have to upload the tablet version separately or does Muse 'see' the new tablet version as changed content?
Either way, I need help since my iPad version goes to the desktop version regardless.

Please make sure "Redirect from desktop" is checked in site properties for tablet. you can find this from File > Site Properties > layout > Tablet.
Please look at the screenshot as well.
Once the option is checked re-upload the site and then check on iPad. Please share the site URL if the issue still persist.

'Phone' and 'Tablet' versions of Tumblr blog embedded into Muse

Hi, I have managed to embed a Tumblr blog into my 'Desktop' Muse website which works fine however my problem is when I go to create 'Phone' and 'Tablet' versions the blog is cropped. Does Tumblr have Moblie Site formats to use for these formats or can anyone recommend a way to have the blog as a moble site?

We are migrating our apps between different environments and we observed the following behaviour:
When using the command select to_char(sysdate,'D') from dual, this gives out a value of 4 in sqlplus version 8.1.6.0.0 (win NT). The same command gives out a value of 3 in sqlplus version 9.0.1.3.0 (win XP).
The underlying software is Oracle Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.4.0 in both the cases. Why this difference in behaviour? Can anyone please advise me.

The first day of week depends on the globalization parameter NLS_TERRITORY. Set it for the instance or for the session to AMERICA to get the week start on sunday. You can also set this in the NLS_LANG os variable (export NLS_LANG=american_germany.we8iso8859p1)
