Slideshows on icloud Keynote

Anyone managed to play a slideshow with icloud Keynote?
I tried in different browsers and different computers and with native keynore presentation or icloud-built. All that I get is a black screen.
I am desperate!!! I need any solution for my lectures. I cannot connect my own computer so, I wanted to use my slides on the cloud.
By the moment.. I am going back to powerpoint.

I managed to have it working on Windows XP and Chrome. It seems a problem of the navigator, and not from iCloud itself.
How can happen that I cannot see the presentation at fullframe in Chrome or in Safari? Do I have to configure something? I have the same problem in my Mac-mini and Airbook 11.

I am fairly new to Keynote in general, however I would like to leverage it's capabilities to enhance my projects at work (where I have a Windows7 PC w/o admin rights to install software). Try this:
File>New>blank file
Duplicate the background layer, and work on the background copy layer
Get the Elliptical marquee tool out of the toolbxox. Drag out an ellipse
Go to Edit menu>Stroke (outline) selection, try width=4x, position:inside
Use the eraser tool to erase part of the ellipse
Use the transform tool (CTRL+T) to rotate and skew the remaining curve to suit
It's a bit tedious, but it can be done.

Why didn't iCloud Keynote save my document?

I was running iCloud Keynote in Chrome and saw that Chrome was ready with updates so I relaunched Chrome but when I came back to my iCloud Keynote edit there were only 5 pages instead of 10. How do I manually save an iCloud Keynote document if autosave isn't going to work in these situations?

Can you embed an iCloud Keynote?

With the iWork.com public beta ending soon, I was wondering whether iCloud provides a similar embedding system as iWork.com. The beta currently allows me to upload Keynote documents to iWork.com, and then provides an embed code for me to use on my blogs and websites, so people can browse my presentations without downloading the document.
After a little experimentation, I cannot find any trace of this facility within iCloud, and am wondering whether it is possible to do so. If not, will I have to convert all of my Keynote presentations to a separate format to maintain this function, or is there another system that can replicate this functionality (I'd like to maintain the animation types, such as magic move, but without limiting my users to requiring iWork to view)?

It's not possible at the moment. But whether Apple will roll the features of iWork.com into iCloud in the future remains to be seen.

How to create a link in a keynote document towards an iCloud keynote document

Hello everyone,
I want to create a keynote presentation (located in iCloud) and make a link to another Keynote presentation, also located in iCloud.
Apparently, this is not possible, since when I create a link, the only possibility is to link to another file located on my physical drive.
If anyone has any ideas how to bypass this...

Note that there's currently a bug in the way annotations work on an OCG. The link will disappear but the bounding box of the link will remain an active hotspot. In your case however the bug may be useful, as if two link objects partly overlap on the page and one isn't on an OCG, turning off the OCG does indeed disable the hotspot.
Follow this process to see what it can (and cannot) do:
From the Tools > Print Production Panel, open Preflight
Select 'single fixups' - the third icon
Click the "Layers" section just so things will go in a logical place
Click "options" then "Create new Preflight Fixup"
Name it "Put all links on the Links layer"
Click the "Layers category" and scroll in the right-side list to choose "Put objects on layer"
In the "Objects identified by a check" menu, choose "Annotation is of type Link"
In the Layer name field, enter "Links"
Click OK to save your new check.
Assuming you have a document open, select your new Fixup and press the Fix button.
You'll be asked to save the file with a new name, then you'll get a message about the layers being modified and instructing you to close and re-open the file (that's a limitation in Preflight, until you do the new layer won't show up).
To understand how the overlapping OCG-nonOCG bug works, now you have a link on the Links layer, create another one using the normal tool (which will not be on the layer). Half-overlap them and see what happens when you turn the layer off and on.
The simplest way to test is to create a blank document and add a "go to a web page" link with a visible rectangle - then when you migrate it onto a layer, you can probe for the hotspot by hovering your mouse and looking for the URI tooltip.

How do I add tables using iCloud Keynote

I'm using keynote bata (I know it's bata)...I want to add a table on to the current slide I'm working in but can't find an easy way to add it. I don't see an icon that would allow me to insert a table. I know I can using the actual app on a Mac but I'm trying to start getting use to iCloud and it's power. Anyone know where the insert table feature is located on keynote on iCloud?

How to upload to Youtube a slideshow made with Keynote: it has separate video

I made my 1st slideshow with Keynote tonight, but when I exported it, or converted to a video, it was in 2 pieces! A video and a audio file. I wanted to upload it to Youtube, and I don't know how to do it. Youtube has a "Video Editor" but I couldn't get it to work. I wish Keynote would export like iPhoto and produce a video that has the sound included (but iPhoto isn't so good for including text). Do I have to put Keynote slideshows into iMovie to add sound?

Photos Slideshow from iCloud Album Displays comments

When projecting a slideshow from a shared iCloud album standard iCloud Photo Sharing comments box (you know the like box) appear on bottom left over the projected photos. I can't find anyway to turn this off. There are no settings for this. Must be a bug?

When Apple support contacted, they acknowledged there was an issue with not all photos syncing
I haven't seen any issues posted in this forum before about missing pictures in albums, which hasn't been down to the file format being incompatible with tv, take a look at the photos which are missing are they all either JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF or PNG, if not they are not compatible.
Is any one else having problems?
I'm not experiencing this problem at all.
Also when trying to sync a iphoto slideshow, only the music plays on ATV, no images
Now that is strange, for now I'm going to assume that this might be that some of the photos in these slideshows are the photos that won't show up as per above. You are probably better solving the first issue before giving this one anymore thought.

How do I display iCloud Keynote files on Apple TV?

I've saved some Keynote files into iCloud, and I would like to be able to bring them up onto my Apple TV. I just downloaded the most recent Apple TV software upgrade. I see "icons" at the bottom of the Apple TV screen for all kinds of things (like "my computer," and "NBA" and "Netflix"), but I don't see an iCould icon.
My Keynote files are in iCloud. How do I pull them into my Apple TV so that they can be displayed on Apple TV?
I do have an iPhone4 and an iPad2 which I have been using as "remotes" to operate the Apple TV. This is my first time using iCloud.
(Previously I tried "mirroring" the Keynote files straight from my iPad2 or iPhone4 onto the Apple TV, but the picture was kind of blurry. I'm hoping that the Keynote slides will appear more readable if they're coming from iCloud).

I believe mirroring is your only option at the moment.

How to remove white margin for pdf file shared by iCloud Keynote?

No. I checked every page. Top side no white margin. In left and right side, the white margin is about 1mm, and in bottom side the white margin is about 2mm.

Will my recording slideshow on keynote translate well as a power point on a PC?

Hello, I'm creating a power point presentation while narrating it using the" record slideshow" option on keynote. I will need to turn it in a for a letter grade. However my professor will be using her power point program to view this presentation, and I was just wondering whether or not my voice narration would be transferred over?

The best information is in the Keynote user manual from Page 107.
Be aware that many users are having problems playing back Keynote with narration, especially in Mountain Lion.
Additionally, the links to media files are lost when exporting from Keynote, therefore the narration will have to be imported into Powerpoint again. I never use Keynote to export to PowerPoint if there is video or audio involved, it just does not work properly, I therefore work in PowerPoint directly. If you don't have PowerPoint, download Open Office for Mac, its every bit as good, and being freeware it costs nothing.

Keynote slideshow -? show music track

Hello all,
I am a new user of Keynote, and found the program satisfactory until I was trying to burn my slideshow to DVD. As so many of you have experienced, my slideshow was without audio. I spoke to a young man at Apple, and he gave me a (tedious and time consuming) workaround - but it worked - and I was able to produce audio in Quicktime, but the music was slightly off. I am new to iMac and Apple software, and am used to working with a wonderful program "Photodex ProShow Gold/Producer." In their program, under the slides I am using, I am able to see my sound track, and adjust my slides/music to match the tempo/beat, as I choose. Is this possible is Keynote? Using, say, Imovie? Any suggestions? Keynote is a polished, and elegant program - I am just frustrated with the limitations I am experiencing. Applel should take a look at the Photodex site - and take notes.

You can do the smallest size slideshow possible in Keynote, and then export low-med quality in quicktime. That really isn't too good of a solution though, since there is a loss of quality.

Keynote (iPad) - Slideshow of multiple images on one slide

is there something similar to the osx keynote-action where you select a bunch of images of different sizes, apply an action to them such that they are uniformly resized and cycled?
how can that be achieved on the ipad?

i have several osx-keynote presentations which extensively use that 'slideshow on one slide' action which, as you mentioned, doesn't work on the ipad. when copying these presentations to the ipad, such slideshows are transformed into animations where each image gets a fade-in along with a fade-out property. (since i am using the german version, i don't really know the exact names for those properties, but i am sure you'll know what i mean.)
however, those transformed slideshows most of the time get messed up somehow, positions of images change and also masked images are displayed incorrectly.
it would help a lot to have an easy workflow for quickly producing such slideshows directly inside keynote for ipad. say, i have some imported images of varying size and define transitions between them. the problem: when resizing and masking them to a common size (hard enough on ipad), moving them one on top of the other will make it impossible to select one after the other in order to assign the fade-in and fade-out transitions. i would have to do that before the resizing, but for 10+ images that's real cumbersome....

Keynote refreshes presentations via iCloud but doesn't stop

Winston, if you're reading this, I've had the same problem, but with a 497.7 MB presentation.
It simply refuses to update to iCloud. The blue progess bar does not advance.
I've done everything you suggested above, and while the 'Updating 1 Presentation' progress wheel was going around, I updated a 7.6 MB presentation at the same time. It updated straight away, but the large presentation is still stuck, hours later.
Before I tried your suggestions, I noticed that the progress bar on the original update would prgress slightly about a third of the way along the progress bar, then jump backwards slightly; a sort of continous loop. However the re-named file is going nowhere, locked at the start.
Is their a size limit for iCloud syncronization? Or is their a bug somewhere.
My presentation, 'Grandkids', has 6 short .mp3 sound effects and 3 short .avi movie clips. The presentation whilst uploading only shows as 497.5 MB in iCloud (greyed out).
Any advice from anyone please?
