Sliding Boxes Transitions isn't showing up in my effects

I'm trying to do a letter by letter text sliding effect for a project but the effect isn't available in my Premiere Pro CC. Does anyone know where it could have gone?

I truly do not understand why Adobe takes away features in new releases, but they must have a reason. I just can't imagine what it might be. Unless they have to pay royalties, or they think that nobody is watching.
It is amazingly easy to do it in After Effects. One of the only easy things to do in that program!

"Sliding Boxes" transition in AE?

Noob question:
Can anyone tell me the most efficient way to create the "sliding Boxes" video transition effect in AE (Sliding Boxes is an out of the box transition effect in PP)?
More Details
The effect transitions from one image to another buy building the second image as a series of stacked (horizontal or vertical) boxes (bands) that slide into place.
For example, Image B slides over image A in moving (horizontal stacking) bands. It looks as though Image B has been cut into strips. These strips move on the screen sequentially from left to the right building the complete image without seems; Image B is built from right to left as each strip slides in from the left to the right in order - each sequential strip vertically stacked next to the previous one until a complete image is formed.
This effect is an out of the box transition effect PP. I imagine in AE you can create a bunch of masks and then move them into place. Is there an easier way - an effect that already exists that I can't seem to find?

In addition to Rick's suggestion, you'd may be happy with the "Venetian Blinds" effect, along with, or instead of some mask animation, and transformational (positional) animation.

I want to point out that the last time I posted this, the discussion was completely blank. This is a repost and hopefully it won't be blank this time
In my most recent short movie, I decided that I would focus a lot more on sound than I normally do, so bought a microphone, a recorder and a boom pole etc. I also decided to implement more sound effects (Bear in mind that I'm 16, not a professional).

Note that at about 0:10 seconds in, you can hear an alarm ringing, but also a sort of 'thump' sound (It's actually the sound of a vault opening/closing). You couldn't hear it normally, so I turned the bass up on it to 17dB. When playing it back in the timeline, it sounds perfectly fine, but when I export the video, much like the attached one, it's muffled and you can't hear the alarm or anything else.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to try and fix it, also that scene takes a while to export so I couldn't quite do any trial and error.
Now however, I'm going to enter the video into a small competition, so I thought I'd try and fix it...because it does sound terrible/unprofessional.
Any suggestions? Remember, it sounds perfect (In my opinion) when playing it back in the timeline. I'm using Premiere Pro CS5.5 on an 11,2 (October 2010) iMac running Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8, it's also being exported to a G-Drive FireWire 800 hard drive, not a RAID, perhaps that could be a problem?

That's one of the problems, people kept saying "Oh, this line's too long..." and shortnening it, and like Jim said "If you can't fire people, you're at their mercy" so I can't exactly deduct pay or anything...because they're not being paid

And tried using the original MP3. It still didn't sound good.
I then tried exporting the sound on its own, with the bass, then imported it, but it still didn't sound as good.
I asked my friend (Who happens to also have the surname 'Curtis') and he said "just sounds to me like you have it so loud that it's clipping" and suggested that I "multitrack" it, basically layer several of them on top of each other, but that didn't work either.
He decided to add the bass in and fix the 'clipping'. It sounded good, but once imported, you could barely hear it, so I thought I'd try putting the bass up to 17dB like before...had the same problem. It seems to only sound nice/fitting with the 17dB bass...am I just going to have to turn it down and live with it?

Hi, I have a fairly simple question. Can anyone verify that the wipe transition "sliding boxes" is available in Premiere CS5 for Mac? It wasn't in Premiere CS4 for Mac, it only featured in the Windows version....

Just dit a check of the 'sliding boxes' in CS5.5, but didn't found it.
However do you know about the new plugins from FilmImpact.net?
These are great quality transitions for Premiere Pro CS5 & CS5.5.

Can't backup to iCloud because it's full, bought more iCloud storage but it isn't showing up.

I just bought a new iphone it's saying that it can't back up to icloud because theres not enough icloud storage. I bought more icloud storage but it isn't showing up. is there a waiting period or did i do something wrong?

If you just bought a new phone, don't you want to restore from backup to add data from your old phone to the new phone?
Purchasing more storage is not always the answer. Understand how iCloud backup works and how to manage what you store.
Open settings
iCloud
Storage and backup
Manage storage
Select the device you are using
Show all apps
Now you can see what is backed up, and what is using the most storage in iCloud. Photo and video are usually on top.
ICloud does not backup the Apps, just the data in the App, if backed up to iCloud. Turn off any app you don't need to have backed up.
Consider removing photo and video to Dropbox or Box for IOS, these are free, online storage apps which can be used on any device to move and store your pictures, video and documents.

Ipod isn't showing up as a playlist for easy transfer of manually selected songs?

Hey Apple Support Community. Previously iTunes allowed me to add songs individually to fill up my ipod bu right clicking and adding the song to the ipod by way of the "add song to playlist" option in the drop down box. Sunddenly my ipod isn't showing up as a playlist for easy transfer of manually selected songs? I've had to create a temporary playlist and use the "autofill" on the ipod screen to add the songs I want. It's kind-of tedious. What happened? Has iTunes changed the way you're allowed to fill up your ipod? Or is there some glitch in my ipod that iTunes can't see it so as to provide it as an option for being a playlist?

Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

You and your partner might have different browsers, different versions of the same browser, or most likely a fervent version of the PDF plug-in.
See if just clicking on the Enter key sends the form in.

Hey, i've tried connecting my ipod to my laptop itunes and it's not working. My laptop shows it's connected but itunes isn't showing it's there. i've tired reinstalling, taking itunes off rebooting the laptop and putting it back on. I don't know how to get it working. Plus on top i restarted my ipod and the choice between wifi and connecting to itunes i'm choosing itunes but it's still not showing up. I can use the help for the Windows 7 and ipod touch. I registered my new iPhone 5s to my usual Apple ID, however it isn't showing in my devices when I log in. I tried to register it by adding a new device, but it tells me it's already registered to a different Apple ID. I'm really not sure how to fix this.

When I check on the phone itself (iCloud and App Store settings) the Apple ID is correct. I'm not sure where else to check.
Whilst setting up the phone, it prompted me to register, which I did. Then when connecting to my laptop through iTunes it prompted me again so I registered again. I even got a confirmation email to the email address associated with my Apple ID that the registration was successful.
How can I add my iPhone 5s to the list of devices on the correct Apple ID?

Have you reset or restarted your iPhone since the update?
Hold down the home button and the power button until you see an Apple logo
Release both buttons and the iPhone will restart.

Updated OS & now Time Capsule icon isn't showing up on desktop

Just finally upgraded to 10.5. Now my Time Capsule icon isn't showing up on my desktop. Light is green on TC and I can navigate to it through Macintosh HD folder, then shared devices. I just used it as an additional external hard drive at this point. How do I get the icon to reappear. I already updated Airport too.

Presuming you mean the volume of the Time Capsule's internal disk, mount that, open the Accounts panel of System Preferences, authenticate by clicking on the lock if it's "closed", select your account, select the "Login Items" tab, then drag the icon of that drive to the login items list.
Note that this will cause a window of that drive to appear each time you log in. If you search these discussions, you may find some older threads that discuss ways around that.
