Sliding case for 3GS

I use to have an Agent18 EcoShield Slider case for my iPhone 2G. It was very convenient because I could just slide the bottom half off and put it in the dock. I ordered their 3GS version of that case, the iPhone EcoShield, but although it looks similar the bottom of the case is almost impossible to get off once I've got it on. It obviously won't work with my dock because it's such a pain to get off.
Does anyone know of other sliding cases like this?

  • Best case for 3GS that wont scratch the phone (metal lining)

I've had the silicon cases before and they would always cause scratches on the metal part of the phone which was always annoying (most likely due to debris rubbing against it when the silicon case moved around). I was looking at the Incase Slider and it seemed that this would be a good case. Anyone have any issues with this case or can recommend a good case for it?

Just finished applying the Zagg Invisible Shield to my new iPhone 3GS and it's fantastic! Elegant and durable while retaining the sexy form factor of the phone itself.
It has been mentioned that it looks overwhelming to apply. I can't stress enough watching the videos on the site a few times to 'run through the motions.' It's imperative that you are in a dust free environment, work with a lint-free cloth, clean your hands really well and keep your fingertips and the adhesive film wet at all times.
What it lacks in speed of application, it more than makes up for in protection with no added bulk.
    Just my two cents.

  • Recommended leather case for 3GS with Ed Hardy clip on cover

My girlfriend bought me one of the Ed Hardy clip on back cover's for my 16 GB iPhone 3GS.
Unfortunately now my Knomo leather case http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TU776ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0NA&mco=MTE0MzU0NjY will not fit.
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good quality leather case that would fit my 3GS with it having the Ed Hardy cover on it. Here's a list of leather cases from the Apple Store UK:

Well the pelican case is one of the protective cases like an otterbox or a lifeproof. The biggest difference is its muchhhh smaller and thinner than the other ones and has more protective qualities. Actually, I work on an ambulance and pelican makes the cases that the medications are stored in so the medicine doesn't just roll around plus in case anything happens they are super protected. Pelican isn't as popular because you can only get it through AT&T, but they are only $60 and have a 180° belt clip Unlike the otterbox ones that are vertical. Plus, they aren't slippery like otter.  Since you say you want leather, if you search on etsy for iohone 6plus leather (or something to that extent) MANY will pop up! They have everything from faux leather to different cuts of custom leather punches. youve just got to search. One Ive found that allows you to put your own belt clip on is the one I'll put link in for. If you search belt clip on that site you will find their kit.  Their basic site is mobilefun.com.  (Just in case it doesn't work, I'm still new to these threads!)

  • Protective Case for 3Gs

    Hi all,
Now that I have the new iphone 32G and like to protect it, what cases would people recommend? Real protection from dropping. I've seen some that doubles as a extra battery, etc.
Also, for obvious reasons, it's probably going to be impossible for me to visit a local shop that would carry such accessories like AT&T and Apple. Is there another retail shop that I can actually go to that I could go to? I live in 20120 zip code, that's Centreville, VA, a suburb of our Nation's capitol. Thanks.
p.s. Since I'm of the male persuasion, how does one carry their iphones besides the belt clip style? Are there cases that can strap arond the neck? Do you think this is a bad idea? Can't really put it in my pocket. What have people done?

Over this last school year, this chick I know and had class with went through 3 iPhones. She kept breaking them (and her dad is filthy rich). But anyway she never used a protector until the 3rd one, LOL. She would keep dropping them and told me the screen breaks really easily. Depends on how it lands.
My salesman at AT&T really warned me about them too because there is no raised surface to protect the screen, so if the screen lands on ANY rock or bump.. it can break. So I got the iFrogz case.. they're nice and come with a thin screen film protector. They also slide onto the iPhone from 2 pieces, together. They are raised above the screen ~1mm so that it protects your screen where it wasn't protected before. $30.

  • Who uses a case for their iPhone 3GS?

I have a case I've been using just to protect the back of my iPhone. I'm thinking of taking it off and just going naked (the phone that is).
Anyone have any problems with their naked iPhone in their pocket? Any scratches? Just wondering.
    Thanks.

Has long as you do not have coins or keys or the like in your pocket, then your iPhone should not get scratched while in your pocket.

It doesn't add any additional bulk to the iPhone and it just gives the iPhone a cover of the front, back, sides, it also has a soft velveteen interior. I can highly recommend the case.

  • Transparent Hard Case For 15 inch MacBook Pro

OMG this is so cool, im going to get one for my other lap top :D!
    http://gavilan1010.wordpress.com/2006/10/14/transparent-hard-case-for-15-inch-ma cbook-pro-2/

    Hi Everyone,
I am one of the engineers at Speck involved in designing and launching the MacBook See Thru Case. Thank you for your interest and feedback regarding this product. However, after reading through this discussion page, I feel it is necessary to dispel some misconceptions about this case. We are a case company that has been designing, engineering and selling cases for years. I'm not sure which Agent 18 case (great cases by the way) is being referred to in the previous thread, but without knowing the exact case, I am assuming there are inherent differences in the mounting system used. Specifically the following:
    1. The "Sandpaper effect" occurs when two surfaces rub against each other. In the example with the ipod case, I believe (and because I don’t know which case it is, I can be wrong) that the scratching was a result of the ipod sliding into the case, or sleeve. Typically hard PC cases have tight tolerances, which leave a minimal amount of clearance. Because of this, the ipod is more likely to be scratched when inserted into the case. However, unlike the ipod case example, the Macbook case clips onto the MacBook. Instead of a sliding motion, the MacBook See Thru is a snap on and lift off system. Also, because the See Thru is clipped onto the Macook, it is a static system, thus no surfaces would be moving against each other.
    2. More importantly, we designed the MacBook See Thru with small spacers that keep a minimal distance between the surface of the See Thru and the MacBook. This means that unlike the Ipod case that sits against the surface of the Ipod, the MacBook See Thru maintains uniform clearance.
Lastly, from a consumer standpoint, and user of many, many different CE devices, I am always hesitant to use adhesive films on my products. In my experience, they tend to leave a residue, which is sometimes difficult to get off, and makes your device have a higher affinity for dirt. This is not to say that all films are created equal (because there are some companies that have engineered them not to leave as much of a residue). Also, films tend to scratch and rip easier. Please remember that there may be some bias in my comments (being a Speck engineer that has been so involved in this project), so take them at your own discretion. But don't take my word for it, go out to the Apple Store and check them out for yourself. I think you won't be disappointed.

  • Requesting suggestions for a curved case for 4S

I am used to the the curved surface of the 3GS. Though I like the 4S, I am not able to hold it for long as the "sharp edges" of the "industrial design" are pinching some of my nerves and I get a similar feeling in my palm as I get in my wrists when I uses someone else's MBP.
So I am looking forward to responses from people who use curved cases for this or other reasons. Thanks.

Well there I was thinking I was the only person in whe world who did not like the ergonomic aspects of the styling of the iphone 4 and 4s!
While my reasons are based upon design and ergonomic considerations - really whoever thought a flat angled shape in the hand was a good idea?! Design for designs sake and speaking as a designer I feel that they did if for a combination of "trying to make the phone different reasons rather than PURE good design. None the less the aesthetic is a classic of its type and I now surrendered by 3G to get one. But I look forward to a v 5 where maybe they will go back to realising that the human touch interface will benefit from curves in the hand.
Funnily enough I bought a morphie juice pack air and the main thing I like about it is ......it has a lovely feel in the hand and a curved back! At the cost f turning a trim little phone into a brick ( that can actually make t through almost 2 days without a recharge !) I hope you resolved your problems by now and will forgiveness expressing design views on your message!

  • HELP! Looking for 3GS for sale but can't find one!

We want to get a 3GS 16GB but can't find one anywhere in UK.  I've checked all the carriers, Apple, Amazon, and several others but they seem to have disappeared.  Anyone know where I might find one, new preferably.  Thanks.

I like the OtterBox cases for iPhone. They have the defender (water resistant) and armor (water proof) case. It's got 3 layers of support and it doesn't make the iPhone too big either. This site has reviews for the OtterBox cases that they offer, and it's pretty useful: http://semsons.blogspot.com. I just read on a blog from Semsons & Co. Inc. that they are offering free shipping on their unbeatable OtterBox cases for iPhones and BlackBerries. You can find the cases here: http://www.semsons.com/cases.html. This offer expires 4/14/08.

  • Cases for KIN Two ?

Hello.  Has anyone tried any of the cases for the Kin Two like the Body Glove?   I'm pretty notorious for dropping my phone.  I can't imagine a case wouldn't interfere with the sliding qwerty keyboard but wondered if anyone has tried a case.
    Thanks.
    Pam

I received my new case from AccessoryOne last night (2nd link below).  I had seen this case on Amazon for only $4 or $5, and then went directly to the Company website and the same case was only 99 cents there.  Bought a full screen protector as well for 99 cents, that covers the entire screen and not just the display area.  Shipping was $3.95 or so.   I had read on this forum where a few people had tried cases from Amazon and said they were fine, but I didn't see where they gave details on which case they bought.  First impression?  You get what you pay for !!   The second I opened the box, I thought...yuck..this case looks CHEAP.  The rubberized plastic feels good in your hand, but it's a cheap plastic, and no padding on the inside of the case to give added protection.  I bought the lime green, and it looks like a kiddie case.  I have a lime green "SwitchEasy Torrent" on my Itouch, and that's a beautiful case.  But that's a $35 case.  This one from AccessoryOne is just cheap looking.  Well what do you expect for a case for only $1.  The case fits, but it's not designed well, and causes a lot of friction when you try to open the phone.  It opens, but there's friction because they didn't leave any space between the top part of the cover and the bottom part.  I thought maybe I'd use the top part of my black Body Glove case that I bought through Verizon which is designed really well (1st link below),  along with the green bottom cover from AccessoryOne and create a funky combo case.  The lime green looks cool with the green theme on the Kin Two, BUT....that combo case lasted about 10 minutes before I took it off as it just makes the phone look cheap.  So the Body Glove case is back on my phone.  While I thought the Body Glove case bulked up my phone too much, now that I tried an inferior cheapo case, I appreciate the Body Glove case a lot more.  It has a nice texture to it and feels good in the hand.  While the texture and grippiness feels nice in your hand, it does make it a little harder to slide into your pocket.  The bottom of the Body Glove case is lined with a padded velvety material protecting the back of your phone, and giving it a little padding, and the top cover of the Body Glove case is designed very well and doesn't interfere AT ALL when you slide your phone open.  It's actually a lot easier to open the phone with the Body Glove case rather than the phone with no case as the phone is slippery.  Someone on this forum said the Body Glove case for the Kin is $12.99 at the Verizon store, but I ordered it online at Verizon for only $7.44 after my Employee discount.  Full price online was $9.99 .  When I just checked now online at Verizon, the case is coming up for $19.99.  I wonder if they offer accessories at a discounted price when you are going through the process of purchasing a phone online.   I really prefer to go case-less with phones, but I'm just too clumsy for that.  I was looking at my Brother's Droid yesterday, and said HEY....is that a Body Glove case?  It had the same texurized material that my Body Glove case is made of.  He told me that it was a Body Glove case, and he tried several cases from Verizon and he thought this one was by far the best.

  • I'm trying to change my phone case, i have the bumper that screws in if i goto the apple store will they unscrew the case for me?

I have the bumper case that screws in so it doesn't fall apart, but i want to take it off. Will the apple store unscrew the case for me? or would i have to go to At&T to have them screw it off?

    Hey,
I can confirm what xtremecaron has said, Apple will defo not remove the bumper for you. Best bet is to try different screwdrivers.

  • Trying to buy a protective case for MacBook Pro MD314B/A 13.3"

    Hi
It's my first message on here so hope someone can help me.  I've been an Apple user for three years now and absolutely love all of their products and currently have a MacBook Air, iPad 2 and iPhone 5.
I am trying to buy a protective cover/case for a friends son who is getting a MacBook Pro MD314B/A for his birthday but I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find one for that particular model, in all my searches (pretty exhaustive so far) all I seem to find are ones for the model A1278 none seem to be coming up for the MD314B/A model that I am wanting.
I only have that to go by as that is all I have been given by his mum who's pretty computer and Apple savvy so I presume it's the correct information, I just can't understand why I can't find one as I it was a doddle when I found a cover for my MacBook Air.
I know it is the 2011 model of MacBook Pro and really don't want to guess and order a wrong cover and disappoint someone on their birthday.
I hope someone can throw some light on how to make sure I find the right one, obviously I can't check on the MacBook itself as it is all boxed up ready for the big day.
    Many thanks to you all

  • How to relate dispute case for a AR document

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to change the reason code change date of dispute case(DIspute management) for the related AR document.
Basically i am posting a AR document through BAPI. Now i wanted to take the last dunned date(MADAT) and find the related dispute case after that change the reason code change date using last dunned date.
so my question how to relate relevent dispute case for the AR document?
    Thanks advance.

    Hi.............
Better and simplest way you can get it through a simple qury report. Create a query by joining two tables ODLN and OINV. OINV's docdate means the closing date of delivery challan.

  • How can I use the same event case for different controls dynamically

    OS: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 #1 SMP Sat Apr 19 00:37:55 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
    LabVIEW: Version 8.2
I have a lot of (about 50) controls (numeric, boolean) on my front panel. If a "Value Change" event will be fired by any of them the same event case shall be executed. As I do not want to add all 50 controls to the same event case manually I am looking for a way to do it at run time. Additionally the VI is still under contruction, i.e. controls will be added and removed.
    Thanks for any help here.
    Regards,
    Johannes
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Johannes,
collect all your control references (you can use the FP property for it) and create a user event. Connect this user event to your event structure. Now you have one event case for all your controls. See the attached picture.

  • How to get total, maximum, mimumum no. of cases for this report

Description:     Reason For Contact For Customer - This report will provide the total number of cases created for a particular Reason For Contact for a particular Customer with a valid Business Code. This report will also provide the Maximum, Minimum and Average number of cases created for a particular Reason For Contact for that particular type of Customer. This report will take From Date, To Date, Agent Group and Business Code as inputs and generates the report on the screen. All the input criteria will be mandatory.
See the attachment for the Report.
NOTE :1) FOR TOTAL,WE HAVE COUNT NUMBER OF CASES CREATED for a particular Reason For Contact for a particular Customer with a valid Business Code
      2) FOR Maximum, Minimum and Average CONSIDER number of cases created for a particular Reason For Contact for that particular type of Customer.
For this report,I am using 5 tables. In the table ScaseParty  i have C_Bus_Code,C_cust_type coulumns are there.
I am taking Input Criteria For Business code(ie c_bus_code).suppose business code is 'F0106',I have to get how many cases(means records) are there for a particular Reason For Contact for that Business Code.I AM GETTING THE TOTAL BUT
for getting maximum, minimum, average , i have to check the C_cust_type For that Business code ,after that I have to take all the business codes for that C_Cust_Type and with in the business codes ,i have to take the maximum number of cases which business code have for that particular Reason for contact For that particular customer type.
Eg: Reason for contact  Businesscode   customer type
         Delivery Timing     0306            1
         Delivery Timing     0306            1
         Delivery Timing     0310            1
         Delivery Timing     0310            1
         Delivery Timing     0310            1
         Delivery Timing     0310            1
In this way i want the result
Maximum =4 since, for reason for contact(delivery timing) for that customer type(customer type =1),the maximum no. of cases are 4 bcz, business code = 0310 comes 4 times.
Minimum =2 bcz, business code = 0306 comes 2 times.
       The Problems i am facing
    1)  Since i have taken the input criteria Business code = 'f0106' ,the data filters in the where condition and the getting the number of cases exist for that business code(f0106) for that Contact of Reason data only. But i have to take all the business code exists for that Particular type of customer for that Particular reason for contact for getting the max, min, avg.
I can't handle max, min, avg in one report since it checks total cases for that Business code only.
SO,I THINK I HAVE TO INVOKE A SUBREPORT PASSING THE C_CUST_TYPE,iSN'T IT????
    2) iF I TAKE THESE THINGS IN SUB REPORT,HOW CAN I find out the maximum number of case with in the business codes for reason for contact for that particular customer type.
CONSIDER THE ABOVE EXAMPLES, I AM GETTING 3 CASES FOR CODE = 0306 N 2 RECORDS FOR CODE= 0310 ,hOW CAN I GET mAXIMUM cASES ie 3  BY COMPARING THESE TWO CODES FOR THE DELIVERY TIMING  .  IS THERE ANY FUNCTION??????
In which way i have to handle this report.
      Regards,
      Vijay
      mail : [email protected]

    Hi Vijay,
The most efficient way to acheive what you want will be to create a stored procedure or command object in which you have a subquery that calculate your maximum, minimum and average values.
If you are looking at a solution within Crystal Reports without having to write a SQL Query, then as you said, you can use a subreport that will returns the cases created for a particular Reason For Contact for that particular type of Customer.
( You will need to link the subreport to filter the data down )
Then you can calculate the minimum values in the subreport by using the Minimum function and manually counting the values in a variable, the formula will look like:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Shared NumberVar MyMinimum;
    If Minimum({Business Code}) = {Business Code} Then
       MyMinimum := MyMinimum + 1;
Insert the formula in the details section of the subreport.
This will count the number of time the minimum Business Code appears in the subreport.
You can create a similar formula for the maximum values by using the Maximum function.
As for the average, you can create a summary that counts the number of of Business Code, divided by the distinct count of Business Code, so it will give you the average. The formula will look like:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Shared NumberVar MyAverage;
    MyAverage :=
    ( If DistinctCount({Business Code}) <> 0 Then
         Count({Business Code}) / DistinctCount({Business Code}))
Then you can display the above shared variables on your main report.
    Hope this help!
    Regards,
    Patrick
