Sliding pages

I would like to create dynamic sliding pages for my web page.
I have 4 Buttons... Home, Services, Contacts, and About Us
what i would like to do, is have dynamic information for each
of these pages slide in and out of the flash window. For Example
On click event of t he Home Button, the text and graphics for
the Home Page slide in from right to left, settling in the center
of the page. Then on click even of Contacts, iwould like the Home
Page Slide to slide from right to left OUT OF the page, and have
the Contacts page slide in.

Sliding page interface - nav buttons

Hello, I am creating a site for a client that involves a
large movie clip with 9 different "pages" in a 3x3 grid. Each page
is the same size as ths stage, so only one can be seen at a time.
The use will click arrows to navigate up, down, left, or right, and
the pages will slide into view.
I have figured out how to have buttons that take the user to
specific pages, but haven't been able to figure out how to do arrow
buttons that will just move the move clip in one page increments,
relative to wherever it is.
A problem I can see already is that the user should never be
able to slide the movie clip totally off the stage. In other words,
when they are on any page except the middle, there will be an
outside edge, and they should not be able to navigate in the
direction of the edge.
I have attached a link to a rough sample .fla illustrating
what I'm trying to do:

Safari doens't show background Image when sliding page left

I display a web page with a large-width photo (say 2000 pixels jpg file) & a repeat small background image in mobile Safari & the right part of photo is beyond the screen.
I touch & slide the page left to see right part but found there's no background image below the right part but only white blank background.
Does anyone know how to make Safari display the background image below the right part?

Does this mean that the large photo IS the background and set to repeat via CSS or HTML? In this case Safari might cut off the image that is not within the viewable bounds of the web page for memory reasons. Just a thought.

How to close sliding pages and beginner help plz

When I swiped I have every page in my history coming up I'm not wanting a bunch of pages & apps running in background how do I close everything ?

Press the Home button once to return to the Home screen. From the Home screen press the Home button twice to raise the Dock/Launch Bar and reveal all apps that have been opened. Tap & hold one app's icon until they all start jiggling and the appears in the upper left coner. Tap the to close apps.

Mobile menu - sliding page reveals menu (like Gmail app) -- how to?

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to make a menu that is similar to the way the Gmail iPhone and Android app works. It is very simple: there is the typical mobile menu icon at the top. When that icon is tapped, the current page slides right about 75% of the way, revealing a menu below. The menu scrolls/swipes up and down to show more choices than one screen can display. When a menu choice is tapped, the page that slid away to the right slides back into position displaying the newly selected page. There are no sub-menus, just one long list of menu items.
I am attaching an image to show this.
I sure would be grateful for help with how to do this. I have searched and viewed some tutorials, but can't quite get it. I would be happy to buy a widget that does this.

Page Turning Animation in IBooks Author

I am able to make "industry standard EPUBs" with the new Text-to-EPUB service using Automator Workflow that have beautiful curling page turning animations that even include M4A/M4V audio and video: perfect for poetry books I am working on. But how can I turn these into IBooks using IBooks Author and ITunes Producer for sale on my Paid Books account in the ITunes store? It seems IBooks Author only allows sliding page transitions.

Also, I wasn't reading ITunes Producer right. I can produce and upload the EPUBs directly to the store without going through IBA at all.
Actually, you can't use iBA at all for standard epub generation...only .ibooks -
Uploads are done via iTunes Producer.

Screen twitches when scrolling pages

Hi everyone. Well, I have my Macbook Pro with Retina display for 2 months now. Yesterday I booted it in safe mode and, I have no idea why, but my screen started twitching and now every time when I'm scrolling/sliding pages it twitches. I've rebooted my pc for at leas 3 times (yes,I now, it wasn't really necessary), I've reseted Safari (firstly I thought that it is Safari problem) but nothing has changed. Any ideas what it could be or any suggestions what should I do?

Reset, hold at same time Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself. If you have a screen protector on, consider removing it.

Turn off animation replying to mail?

Is there a key combo when starting Mail that will supress this? I know I can do it with a write command in Terminal but I'd prefer a key combo instead. Thanks

It's not the finger brushing. I have a similar (unfortunate) reaction to modern computer games with moving 3D graphics (e.g. first-person shooters and those explore-your-surroundings type of games).
I have turned off the effects in apps like Stanza, but unfortunately just navigating the apps and reading my mail (unnecessary sliding pages) is barf-inducing.
Rats. I can scroll as long as I don't lift my finger so the momentum scrolling isn't engaged, but I'd really like to get rid of the sliding effects when switching between screens/home pages.

I found Apple's sample CSS and HTML files to draw a full-page list (like Contacts and iPod) and round rectangles (like Settings). Is there any documentation or samples on creating the pinstripe background, the top title bar and its back button (the one at the top that's named as the previous screen name, not Safari's Back button on the bottom)? (All I found was Apple saying it's bad programming to develop your own back button instead of using theirs, but it didn't say how to access the feature.)

Yes, but that page is almost useless. I spent 2 days trying to draw pages and rectangles (with no clue on how to round the edges), then I found:

That actually has sample files for the full-width & rounded rectangle pages, but not for the other (probably built-in -webkit- type) hooks, such as the title bar and its back arrow, sliding pages left & right, or the background pinstripes.

Flash movie gets stuck in the middle

Hey,
I have simple sliding pages mechanism in my flash file, all done with AS3 code. Now the pages, which are movieclips, are slid off the screen on a button press. Sometimes, everything goes smoothly, but on some people's computers the sliding pages get stuck in the middle, and then the next slide starts from the wrong position. This throws everything off the loop...I cannot understand why this is happening..as it only happens sometimes...I have rechecked the code millions of times...why is this happening??? Is it the code??

Can't say anything without seeing the codes.
I guess you have some errors at calculating the sliding effect.
When clicked too fast sliding errors occur.
You have to disable the click event till the the page stops at the right position (removeListener for the button, then addListener....)

Turn off animation effects to prevent nausea?

I've spent an hour poking through the forums, but couldn't find this issue addressed (maybe I'm using the wrong keywords), anyway:
I just got an iPod Touch yesterday and while I love it in theory, in practice I can't use it for more than a few minutes without getting motion sickness from all the sliding and flipping when switching between screens and momentum scrolling. Is there a way to turn off these effects or reduce them? I would like to be able to use this device without wanting to vomit for hours afterward just because of interface animations.

Targeting issue

Hi there,
I am making a website which includes sliding pages and a
popup menu.
The sliding pages are in their own movie clip and the buttons
to control this slide are located in a main menu movie clip both
running in the main timeline.
I can control the slider using the following, if the buttons
are located on the main timeline directly:
_root.buttonName.onRelease = function() {
endX = 985;
andY = 0;
for example.
When trying to use the buttons in the movieclip 'menu' the
targeting selection gives me:
_root.menu.buttonName
but in conjunction with the above:
_root.menu.aboutpage.onRelease = function() {
endX = 985;
andY = 0;
I have no luck.
Would realy appreciate if someone could shed some light.

I have tested the movie with some of the menu buttons and
some of the buttons on the main timeline. I can still control the
ones on the timeline so dont think that the slider movieclip is
cathcing all.
