Expiain the purpose of each field of the global internal table 'slis_t_listheader' ?

slis_t_listheader gives the heading of a list.It is composed of the list title in the title bar and of any column headings. These can be maintained as part of the text elements of an ABAP program for the standard page header.

There are three types of slis_listheader-typ
1. Typ H is for displaying header data. Ex.
wa_list_header-typ = 'H'.
wa_list_header-info = 'Capgemini Mumbai'.
APPEND wa_list_header TO LIST_HEADER.
CLEAR WA_LIST_HEADER.
output: Capgemini Mumbai
It displays data in normal font with bold and big character.
wherever you define this in a sequence of typ S and typ A, it always holds the top line in alv report list header area.
If two typ H are there than according to the triggering they get displayed in successive lines.
There is no use of list_header-key with typ H.
2. Typ S is for selection.
We use typ S to display text as well as its value in a single line. We can't display text and value in a single line by using typ H or typ A. Ex.
WA_list_header-typ = 'S'.
wa_list_header-KEY = 'Date::'.
wa_list_header-INFO = sy-datum.
APPEND wa_list_header TO LIST_HEADER.
CLEAR WA_LIST_HEADER.
output: Date:: 20080525
( you can change the above showing date format by concatenate or any formatting options)
The key text displays in normal bold font and info value displays in normal font. These two have font size just half of the font size of typ H.For this reason we prefer only typ H to display header data in header area of alv report like company name, purpose of the report etc.
3. Typ A is for action.
WA_list_header-typ = 'A'.
concatenate 'typ' 'A' into wa_list_header-info separated by space.
APPEND wa_list_header TO LIST_HEADER.
CLEAR WA_LIST_HEADER.
or
WA_list_header-typ = 'A'.
wa_list_header-info = 'typ A'.
APPEND wa_list_header TO LIST_HEADER.
CLEAR WA_LIST_HEADER.
output: typ A
It displays data in normal italic font with font size same as font size of typ S.
wherever you define this, it always hold the bottom line in alv report list header area.
There is no use of list_header-key with this typ A.
so according to our requirement we chose typ. -

Basically, it goes thru each record and depending on the due date places the amounts in the following buckets (example). 0-30 day Overdue, 31-60 days Overdue, 61-90 days overdue, 30+ days overdue, 60+ days overdue) etc all the way to 6+ years overdue.
There are also cooresponding buckets for coming due analysis. For example, what is: 0-30 days coming due, 31-60 days coming due, 30+ days coming due, etc...
To do this, first I needed to be able be able to produce an open items statement at any given time in the past. Now, this seems impossible because of how the items go from open to cleared all the time. And an item that was open one month ago, may not be open anymore.
What I did was first remove any selections on item status. Then compare the posting date with teh key date in the past, if the posting date is less than or equal to the key date, keep the record.
Then compare the clearing date with the key date. First, keep all that are #. (This keeps all records still open from that posting date/key date)
Then, add another check for all items that were cleared after the key date (GT Key Date). This gives you the open items on that date.

in alv report i need to display the different customers in different blocks in the alv output, for example customer : 1000 in one block with all the details , and

Hi,
I have an issue in ALV totals and subtotals.
Scenario is like this.
i have a vendor data to be pulled out of SAP and to be shown in the form of report.
i am populating all the data and doing do_sum based on Vendor ( has expansin & collapse option ) and display the number of reports .

but my problem is in the same report i have a date field .
if i have a five vendors created on 03/03/2008. in the same report for the date field having ( expansion & collapse ) , when i expand based on that date can i be able to sum up all the vendors created on 03/03/2008 and display in the same report along with the vendor count.

How to increase the field width of a field in ALV report.
I mean, in a ALV report, the field description of a field is not showing correctly. IF i try to extend the field width by the mouse/coursor, it displays the correct description.

i have written a program which displays data in an alv grid report, now i need to extend my program a bit more.
when i double click on any field value the corresponding record should be displayed
can anyone suggest if i need to call any fn module for this, if so wht's the fn module

What are the steps needed to write a REPORT to find out
open and close items for a given vendor.
Which are the fields i'll have to take and what are the comparisons i'll have to make.
