SLM248p web interface down and time reset

My SLM248P web interface keeps locking up (i.e. I get noting when I go to the IP address of the switch).  I need to power cycle the switch to get the web interface to work.  Also, whenever I reset the power, it goes back to Jan 1, 2000 (time).  The swithc alsow seems to loose connections every now and then.  And I keep getting a waring in the log that looks something like
"%STP-W-PORTSTATUS: e26: STP status Forwarding"

I have the newest firmware.  It has no impact on the situation.

    Hi TJK, Thanx for answering,
My MBP have already a three months bought, what i should do, call to apple or to dealer?
I supposed its in warranty yet. THX
Your MBP has a one year hardware warranty on it.
As Trey suggested, it wouldn't hurt to try an SMC reset. If that doesn't work, you definitely want to contact AppleCare so you get it taken care of under warranty.

    Try Here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

  • Difference between Timer.stop() and Timer.reset()?

    Hello,
What is the difference between Timer.stop() and Timer.reset()
functions because it seems that the 2 functions do the same thing?
I image Timer.stop() to stop the timer and when Timer.start() is
called the timer starts from where it stopped. For example, if I
have a 3 sec. timer (3000 ms). If I stop the timer after 2.5 sec.
and start the timer again, I would expect the timer to expire/trip
within .5 sec. Is this a correct assumption?
    Thanks,
    Nilang

    Hello,
Here is a better description of what I am trying to do and
    the problem I encountered.
I am developing an application that plays multiple sound
files at different time offsets. For example, snd1 starts at time
offset 0 and snd2 starts at time offset 5000 ms (5 sec). I have
created a timer for each sound file and enabled the handlers via
addEventListener() function. I encounter a problem after the timer
has been stopped (Stop button pressed) before the timer expires.
When the user presses the Play Button, the timer seems to be reset
because the onTimerComplete() function is triggered after an
additional 5000 ms (5 sec). Is this normal behavior? If this is not
the correct behavior, is there a workaround Any help would be
    appreciated.
I have created a small application in Flash CS3 that depicts
the problem with just a single sound file. I have Flash Player
9.0.124.0 installed. Sample code is above.
    Thanks,
    Nilang

  • No sleep mode at low battery - data loss and time reset

I'm having this issue for about a year now:
When I run my macbook pros Battery down, there comes the low battery warning. After a while the system just goes down without suspending anything to my harddisk. When I restart my computer it does a normal start and after logging in I'm experiencing a lot messages due to the reset time. I correct my system-time and restart my mac and the system is back to normal.
Usually I'd say: Replace your CMOS-Battery (I know I have an EFI-Firmware), but where is it?. Or in other words: Is there a "System"-Battery, that would prevent my mac from forgetting the time?
Since I'm not running down my battery to 0 very often I only experience this issue from time to time and never took time to do anything about it.
I would also appreciate a workaround so that my mac immediately starts shutting down, after the low battery warning. That would be great.
    iStats battery-Status says: Health:83%, Cycles:333, charge 50%...

Well, the problem, seem's to have reoccured: Battery ran out (even the indicator leds on the side didn't show any life), Time reset  to 1.1.2001, again some rebooting and setting the time again...
Is this a sign of a degrading battery health status?
It looks like reseting the SMC didn't help after all.

    Hi Ganesan,
I am proposing a design like this. You can have the STP in pvst mode and have a different priority set for the core switch to make it core a as root bridge. There is nothing wrong with your design you have made you core switch which will be physically down to your firewall... but in real it comes on the top of your firewall as well... But spanning tree conf should be done properly to achieve this... I have proposed my design which is pretty simple but easy for troubleshoot....
You can have your firewalls connected to core switch on the down and can directly connected to router on outside... always core a -->py fw--rtra will be the primary path... if anything goes wrong then secondary line will come in to picture....
make sure that your hsrp will have high priority to ur core a vlan conf for the access switches.....

  • Is there a Web-Interface to configure Time Capsule?

Every router has a web interface to configure it from any locally connected computer independent from what computer or OS you are using (Mac, Windows PC, Linux, etc...). So far, as I figured out, Time Capsule can only be configured via the AirPort Utility on Mac OS. As I am using a heterogenous network with Macs, Windows and even Linux PCs this is very disappointing to me...

Sorry but none of Apple's routers (including the Time Capsule) have a web interface for configuration.
Time Capsule can only be configured via the AirPort Utility on Mac OS.
It can also be configured using AirPort Utility on a PC running Windows XP (SP2) or Windows Vista.

  • As I open my computer, there's a notification telling me to allow these files for a connection, which are very unsual for my mac. I allowed one and my date and time reset to january 1 of 2001. It caused my internet connection to stop working properly.

Please help me figure out what causes my internet connection and airport extreme run erratically.  It occurred twice already and my only solution is to reset the date and time, and restart my macbook pro. after that, everything seems to work perfectly again. This is only problem that my macbook pro encountered for two years. Thanks!

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

  • Windows 8.1 EPM 10 NW Web interface BPF and Excel Launch error

    Hi all
We have a issue with Windows 8.1.
When we try to launch excel from the web interface (Admin) or through a BPF, we get TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED error.
This is only on the Windows 8.1 machine.
    We tested on few machines.
    All have the following:
    Office 2010 32bit,
Internet Explorer 11 32 bit (even tried with 64bit)
Chrome (on chrome we get com_sap_tc_ui_ria_fcp plugin error)
Mozilla - can't get Mozilla to work at all...doesn't even show the activities or the Launch options.  Only Admin launch.
On the Windows 7 machines it works.  But not on Windows 8.1.
Already tried to search in the RegEdt the 5.6, 6.6, 7.6 etc but that isn't the issue.
Has anyone ever found this issue?
All other EPM functions work 100% with Windows 8.1.
Also installed SP17 for the EPM office add-in as well as the patch.
    Thanks

  • DataMart Interface - Date and time of the transferred data

    Hello,
We have a requirement to build a datamart (cube to cube) between two BW systems, using deltas; this is OK and should not present any issue. However a further requirement has arisen, requiring to provide date and time of the created files to outbound systems. I have been looking to RS* and RO* tables for finding out the details of the delta queue.
Table RSDMDELTA provides the Data Mart Delta Management: could this table be used to provide required details? Or are there any other relevant tables containing this info?
    Thanks&Regards,
    Begonia

    Hi,
Thanks for your quick response. We are not using openhubs, but a direct cube to cube datamart - by generating the cube as exporting datasource.
Is there any equivalent table in this case?
    Thanks&Regards,
    Begonia

  • Calendar and Time resets incorrectly when syncing

Over the last week I have just noticed this problem. I think it started after I downloaded the latest upgrade. As soon as I connect my iPhone to my computer the date and time change to some unknow (and incorrect) settings. Anyone else having this problem. How do I fix it?

Welcome to Apple Discussions: Your fix is related to the daylight savings time in your computers calender. Open up your computers clock and insure that you have the correct time zone selected. Put a check mark in the Daylight Savings Time choice and then check the computers time. Change it if necessary and then resync your iPhone. This should fix your problem.
    Good Luck

  • HT1515 My Airport Extreme keeps flashing amber. I have powered it down and hard reset it several times.  Airport Utility on either of my MacBooks and any of my iPads cannot find it.

My iTunes library is on a HDD attached to the USB port of the Airport Extreme.  We tend to run iTunes on my wife's MacBook and use Remote on our iPads to play music and interrogate the library.  Ther connection from the MacBook regularly drops and iTunes defaults to the MacBook HD location for the library.  When connection is restored, it therefore requires a rebuild/reload of the library, which can take some time, as it is over 70Gb.  This time connection has been lost, the Airport Extreme is flashing amber and none of the Airport Utility programs on either of our MacBooks or iPads can see it.  Can anyone advise as to how I get access to my iTunes library?

Since I can't seem to reset it here with the computer I have, can I take it to the apple store to reset it, and then bring it home to use it?
The old Express must be able to "see" your wireless network to "join" it, so unless you take your main wireless router with you to the Apple store along with the Express, things won't work.
The Apple Store might have a Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard....but I would make an appointment first before I hauled everything down to the store.
Things would be much easier if you could invite a friend over to your house who might have a Mac using Leopard, or Snow Leopard, or a PC.
It would only take 5-10 minutes to get the Express configured.
Or, should I jsut buy a new one?  And, if I am buying a new one to stream music, shouldn't I just go ahead and get apple tv (I think the price is very similar)?
Sorry, I can't tell you what is best for you. Talk the folks at the Apple Store to get some opinions.
If it were me, I would get a new Express. Careful on the AppleTV as it only has a digital audio output..... that may or may not work with your existing equipment.

  • HT1689 I keep getting the error: Cannot connect to ITunes Store. I recently updated the iOS on the ipad3. Have tried heaps of fixes as suggested in various threads. DNS, date and time, reset etc

I am a fairly new apple user, just got the new ipad, as part of an evaluation program. I recently did an iOS update and now keep getting the error message:cannot connect to iTunes Store... I tried date changing - no good ... The only thing that worked was to change the DNS setting to 0.0.0.0 as described in another thread. This fix for a day and now still getting the same error message and DNS setting changes do nothing. I have tried the reset method several times to no avail. I'm beginning tho think the ipad wasn't a great idea.... Apple need to attend to this. Like many, I have already wasted too much time looking for a fix. I am part of an IT in education group that will soon be recommending a specific hardware and OS. Could result in the loss of thousands of ipad sales for apple ....
Anyhow... All or any suggestions are welcome :)

Also, I've just learned that I can connect to download new apps, but cannot update any apps I've downloaded in the past. How might I go about connecting my reset apple ID with its history from before it was reset? I assume that is the biggest issue.
