Hello All
I would like to use Expose as opposed to the standard iWeb slideshow stuff.

I have created an album using their Album Manager but when I try and run it on my iMac from the Desktop I get a window pop up saying that Adobe Flash Player has prevented an .swf file running because it want to access the internet (actually another file on my Mac).
Anyway, can someone give me a ste by step guide on how to use expose now I have created the album? I publish to a folder and then upload to my ISPs server as opposed to .Mac for this BTW.
I am familiar with how to create Skype buttons and the like if this method is the way it is done.
All help and guidance appreciated.

After everything is created you need to upload three things to the idisk or your server. The expose folder, expose.html, and showpic.html. If you upload to the sites folder in your idisk you should be able to find it by going to homepage.mac.com/yourusername/expose.html Once you type this in your browser you should see your slideshow. Now to get it on your website use an iframe.

Unable to expose a method in web service

Hi,
My scenario is to expose a method in service. This method will take date as input & should return all the rows.
To Implement this, I took employeeVO of HR DB(Employees Table) & created a ViewCriteria "GetEmpbyHireDate" with Hiredate as input param.
& in AMImpl the code is

P.S. from Jdev Help I understood that "Only methods with simple attributes as parameters and return types that are either void or view rows will appear in the list." & my method is returning rows of a EmployeeVO.

2 comments:
1) View Criteria can be directly exposed as find methods. Its on the last wizard page (just click the View Criteria tab). So no need for an Impl method
2) If you wanted to expose a method, then the documentation I think is crystal clear: "oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl or any subtype" Your method returns BaseEmployeeVOImpl (see the difference ?)

Problems with shutdown, expose and window switching

Hi there,
Recently I've been having a few issues with OS X. First of all it wasn't shutting down properly -- the menu bar would disappear and it would look like it was going to shutdown, but it never did. I could move down to the dock (on auto-hide) and it would re-appear, at which point I can bring up a terminal window and use 'shutdown' to do the job. On startup I'd reset the PRAM, and then do a disk-check, but the problem keeps coming back.
Subsequently, I've also been having problems with expose and switching windows (i.e. command-tab). Namely, neither of them work. Expose won't fire from either hot corners or the keyboard, and if I re-launch the app from the Apps folder (without trying to kill it first, I should say), it does nothing. Cmd-tab gets interpreted as just tab, and the keyboard shortcut for dashboard also fails (although I can start the dashboard from the dock).
I read in another post about an invalid jpeg in the downloads folder being able to cause the Expose problem (seems like a most unlikely bug?). Anyway, I cleared all pictures from my downloads folder and functionality came back, but now it's gone again. It's really very frustrating as it makes moving between windows a lot more hassle.
Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

As for actually helping you, and not just satisfying our curiousity, if you start cutting pieces of the code you will probably end up finding the source of the problem (and we won't have too big a program to handle). Since DSC is a likely suspect, you may want to start there.
Also, are you creating an installer and using that to install? If not, you may wish to try that.

We should rethink if we want to clear hostFormat rather than have a hostFormatChanged flag. If there is no hostFormat at measure then it has to be fixed because there is no line break format to check for auto-size.

Oh my god, it is too long! You definitely check out types, casting and especially ODP.Net (it does everything for you)... etc. They can help you to simplify your code. I do not have enough time to copy paste it to Studio and understand and solve your issue, so I got title of your message as your main question.
In Oracle, you can create an autonumber field by using sequences object. This is really useful when you need to create a unique number to act as a primary key.
Basically you can create a sequence simply typing;
CREATE SEQUENCE MY_SEQUENCE;
now you have a sequence called "MY_SEQUENCE"... Then, I advice you select a number from sequence;
select MY_SEQUENCE.nextval from dual;
I said I advice actually kinda must, although it called sequence, I cannot be sequential. Do not even try to predict the value. You can be sure that it is unique number so you can use it.
Then insert you record and use that number part of your primary key. I think that's it. Have fun.

Portege M800 - Exposed Sensitive Touchkeys does not work

I am owner of the Toshiba Portege M800-105. Everything does its work. After 2 month working on it, my exposed sensitive touchkeys next to the POWER-Button does not work. After I deinstalled the "Vista-Value-Added-Package" everything is working proper. Why? Now my FN-Keys are not working or are diabled. Why?
Before deinstallation the package, the first button next to the power-button had the function to turn off the backlight from the Logo, from the senitive touchkeys an from my touchpad. NOW it turn off the sound!!!! Fairy weired if you aks me. How can I fix my buttons up to factory settings and get FN-Buttons working?
I reinstalled the value added package again, and have the save problem as before: the first two buttons next to the power button does not work!
Unter the Application: Thoshiba Button Support, for the first two buttons there are no Keynames depositd/marked so that I can change there configuration.
FN-Keys works after installation the package, though not the sensitive keys! Please, who can help me?
The Value Added Package has small programs. One of them is the Toshiba Button Support. Whenn I deinstall it everything works. When I install it, nothing works.

The whole thing is really strange. I really dont know what happen on your notebooks. The fact is that those buttons are controlled by software. If I am remembering well it called Button support or Button control and it is part of Value Added Package.
VAP contains several different tools and utilities. When you remove VAP it will be removed the application responsible for FN functionality (Flashcards) and this is the reason why the FN doesnt work anymore.
So, theoretically everything should be OK when you install VAP again. I repeat theoretically. Why you still have this problem I dont know and I dont believe nobody can say for sure. Maybe some registry entries are corrupted now? Who knows?
I presume you dont want to use most radical solution and make clean OS installation again but this can definitely help. With clean preinstalled OS (factory settings) everything will work well again.
At the end I must say that I use Satellite U400 (similar to your Portege) almost 6 months now and all buttons work properly. I still use preinstalled Vista version and I didnt made any changes. It works well.

In normal path based site collections/web applications, reverse proxy configuration can be done using alternate access mappings with Public URL = "proxy URL", internal = "HNSC Share Point URL" so that share point sends response back
to Public URL = "proxy URL".
In Host Named Site Collections, alternate access mappings are not supported. Each HNSC is designed to have only one URL in each zone. Zone is one of the five zones(Default,Intranet,Internet,Custom,Extranet) with each of which only one alternate
URL is associated. This is what we are able to get using power shell command "Set-SPSiteUrl", but this will not help us to get the response back to proxy URL after a request sent to share point because we could not find any mechanism in share
point HNSC to respond to a different URL(proxy URL). Consequently, Share Point URLs are exposed to external users.
Below share point article in MSDN blog is symmetrical to what we are observing with Share Point 2013 and Proxy Server. It mentions that internal HNSC URLs can’t be hidden using any proxy server. If hiding the internal Share Point URLS is a requirement,
it suggests to use a web application instead of host named site collections.
Though I’m also observing the same behavior with Share Point 2013 HNSC, Could you please confirm my understanding is correct.

You are right that only one URL is allowed for each zone of the host-name site collections in both SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013.
It is by design that each host-name site collection only support one URL for each zone.
The article below is about RTM version of SharePoint, and it is the same for SharePoint 2013 with the latest CU.

So to make the URL of HNSC not exposed to external users is not supported, you need to use path-based sites instead.

Try expose svn via http, but Location directive does not work.

I used svn exposed via http in OSX 10.6 and 10.7 using collabnet.
Now I take OSX server 10.8 and installed svn inside XCode.
SVN is correctly installed, apache respond to default site.
I copied the modules dav_svn_module and authz_svn_module compiled on my machine with same svn version of XCode [version 1.6.18 (r1303927)] .
I created a file into /etc/apache2/other called svn.conf that contain follow code:
LoadModule dav_svn_module libexec/apache2/mod_dav_svn.so
LoadModule authz_svn_module libexec/apache2/mod_authz_svn.so
<Location /repo>
DAV svn
SVNPath '/Volumes/VMware HD/svn/repository'
</Location>
Checking if module are loaded with sudo apachectl -t -D DUMP_MODULES i obtain:

dav_svn_module (shared)
authz_svn_module (shared)
Syntax OK
So file svn.conf is loaded and the module too.
When I try to check via browser with http://localhost/repo I obtain in /var/log/apache2/error_log the following error:
[Wed Feb 13 12:41:12 2013] [error] [client 192.168.1.114] File does not exist: /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/repo
Is Location directive failing?!
How can I expose the right repository location instead of default site?

Web Service - Expose BI data

Hi,
We are in BI 7, trying to expose BI data using QUERY_VIEW_DATA.
I did basic configurations using Tcode - SICF.
In WSADMIN, when I execute
" Web Service QUERY_VIEW_DATA default_host/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ QUERY_VIEW_DATA " getting following error message:
"You are not authorized to view the requested resource"
Also verified with basis team the J2EE server address, They confirmed my configuration values correct in Tcode - WSADMIN (goto--> Administration Settings), Soap runtime version is - v1.00_final_6.40
Is there any basic documents available to verify existing configuration.., also what are the Authorization objects required to perform this.
Appreciate, if any documents or solution provided to over come above issue.

Thanks for Information. After Adding WSNavigatorRole, previous error is not coming.
Now there is new error : Cannot download WSDL from http://...servername.com:port/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/QUERY_VIEW_DATA?sap-client=020&wsdl=1.1: It is not allowed to access this service. If you believe you should be able to, please contact your system administrator .
If we call the above URL directly, you will be able to access the file.
What might be the issue...

Why is Expose lagging for Snow Leopard only in my account, not in guest account? How do i solve it?

I installed an itunes update and somehow my 'expose' starts to lag, not being as smooth as before. I don't know how this can be linked to me updating itunes but somehow i think it is. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Expose requires a lot of system resources and it is posible that you may have a program or programs on your account that are running in the background using a lot of these resources. If you open Activity Monitor and look at the tabs on the bottom and if you click on CPU and Memory and notice that FREE does not have a lot of space than that might be the issue and if you look above that on the charts you may see some apps that are using a lot of these resources and you may wish to close them.

Im using BizTalk server 2010.cretaed Certificate in IIS and shared to client the same as a public cert.
Im using httpsTransport with customBinding.followed below url

When I try to Browse in BizTalk server with https, im able to browse, but in the client side, they are not able to browse
and they get "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." Is there anythng that needs to be set in BizTalk or the settings should be done at the client end?
IIS autehntification mode is anonymous is configued.plz let me know anything to do in biztalk and IIS level

This is because your client has not provided the certificate while browsing the service URL.
If they (client) have installed the certificate in correct folder and then while browsing folder the service, client should provide the certificate through browser.
For Internet Explorer, a pop-up should with all the certificates
installed in their personal store. They need to select the certificate that they already installed in it.

You will get an error that says “HTTP Error 403.7 – Forbidden” “The page you are attempting to access requires your browser to have a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
client certificate that the Web server recognizes.”

FireFox go to Tools –> Options –> Advanced –> Encryption –> View Certificates
Click import and select the certificate with private key file you exported earlier (the .pfx file)
You will need to clear history now or restart browser
Just FYI for installing certifate correctly in client side, if they use Windows (off-course):
MMC, add certificate snap-in for “current user”
Browse to Certificates (Current User) –> Personal –> Certificates
Right click this node and select All Tasks and Import from the popup menu
Follow the steps in the wizard, selecting the public certificate you have shared o client.

New to the game, expose help.

New to the mac game here, some mac experience otherwise though. Anyways so I've got my shiny macbok pro here and I want to expose my windows, I know I hit F9 to get that going, but it brings up the lighting for the backlit keyboard.... what do I do.

Problem with Expose and Adobe AIR application -can't click on app in Expose

I just installed a new Adobe AIR application called TwitterLocal. The app was working fine until I accidently hit some keyboard shortcut and the application window disappeared. I figured I accidently assigned the window to some other "space," however I do not have SPACES turned on. Furthermore, when I select EXPOSE, I can now see the content of the application's window, however if I click on the app (which takes on that grey-highlight appearance when you mouse over it) the desktop returns to its normal position. I can see via the top status bar that the app is currently selected, but I cannot access the app window.
Is there any way to send an app that was "sent" to expose back to the normal desktop? I've tried rebooting and even uninstalling/reinstalling the app but it is still lost in expose.
Any thoughts on this would greatly be appreciated.

Solution was to change display to lower resolution, then the Adobe AIR app TwitterLocal became visible on the standard desktop and I was able to click on and move the app window towards the left of the desktop. Once I switched the resolution back, everything was ok.

Expose doesn't work anymore. Please help!

I recently installed the latest software update for my Macbook and just noticed that Expose no longer works. I tried changing the corner that would activate Expose but have had no luck in getting it to work.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions that I could try, they would be most appreciated!

OK - just tried printing on 10.2.8 and no problem. Was able to get into the Print Center (X.2) and from there the Lexmark configure option worked fine - checked fluid levels, did the alignment, can print in "econo" mode. I notice that X.2 has an application called Print Center while in X.4 this app is called Printer Setup Utility. Are these the same animals or different? The windows on the two are similar but different:
Both have the heading Printer List
X.2 Print Center
Options - Make Default, Add, Delete, Configure (note Configure pulls up the Lexmark Utility application and allows you to check fluids, etc.)
X.4 Printer Setup Utility
Options - Make Default, Add, Delete, Utility (same icon as Configure in X.2), Colour Sync, Show Info. Note that clicking on the Utility icon produces a "Lexmark utility unexpectedly quit" message
Double clicking on the Printer Name on each produces a different result:
X.2 - brings up the printer status (i.e Job printing) window
X.4 - brings up the printer status window with options of Utility (clicking on this pulls up the "unexpectedly quit" message) and Supply Levels (clicking on this produces an "information not available" message)
I'm thinking that the problem might be in the Printer Setup Utility that appears to have changed in X.4???? Thoughts?

IMovie won't open, but can see in expose

I am unable to open and use iMovie. When I open it I can see the menu bar, but the project screen doesn't show up. When I use three finger swipe to go into expose, I can see it in there. When I click on it it goes off to the right, top corner of screen and I can't use it. I have restarted, quit, force quit, restarted again, shutdown, detected displays, etc. I just can't figure it out. Please help! I'm sure it's a setting that was changed somehow. I've included a shot of my screen when in expose so you can see the iMovie. However, if I click on it that's when it flies off to the top right corner.

Follow up to web services question: How do I expose java components as web services on iPlanet 6.0 app server?

My task - my company has several legacy PowerBuilder applications that access a variety of Sybase and MS SQL databases. Rather than re-inventing the wheel by re-writing these applications in Java, we would like to enable these applications to call java components (EJBs) that will provide new functionality. I would need a piece of software called CSXtend (from www.cynergysystems.com) to allow PowerBuilder to call a web service. However, I am not sure how to expose my business functions (EJBs) as web services on the iPlanet 6.0 App server. Thanks for all previous responses! Any additional info would be greatly appreciated! I have used Glue (http://www.themindelectric.com/products/glue/glue.html) to expose some of our stuff as Web Services. I recently found this on serverside. It's pretty good.

I believe that the middleware they use can be plugged into IPlanet. There is also an article in the knowledge base on the IPlanet site.
