It seems that after 1 - 1:30 hrs after the server start the response from app server
(weblogic 5.1 here) is very very slow. This remains as it is until we stop and
restart the server..But again after the same period of time the problem continues
and the server tends to respond slowly.Where could be the problem? If you can
let us know the underlying problem, it would be great.OK, check in the admin console for Garbage Collection. You will see
the heap usage reach 100% and the drop off suddenly. If this is the
case, consider increasing your heap, if that isnt an option.. Try
checking your code to make sure everything that is called is
destroyed.
That may help... If not it could be JDBC,other connectivity, or code.
But try that 1st and let me know.

  • Error during disconnect from FTP Server

    Hi Everyone,
    Here's my problem:
XI has stopped picking the messages from the repository of one of servers.  Though, we have checked the XI system and can find no problems from the infrastructure side.  The adapters also show no errors and the communication channels show no errors.
We have also checked the log viewer in XI and found the following entry:
"Error during disconnect from frtp server ABC, ignored: com.sap.xxx.adapter.file.ftp.XXXXXX: 421 Terminating Connection."
This FTP error relates to what we FTP server says, "421 service not available, remote server has closed connection."
We looked at the server side, the server is working fine.
What do you think is the error? And do we resolve this one? I'm really clueless about this..Im thinking of just restarting the J2EE engine...
    Thanks,
    Grace

    Mary,
This question would be more relevant to the Xi forum... but on googling the error code..
    http://help.globalscape.com/help/support/Error_Codes/FTP_Codes.htm
Error 421 Service not available, closing control connection.
    Error 421 User limit reached
Error 421 You are not authorized to make the connection
    Error 421 Max connections reached
    Error 421 Max connections exceeded
    Possible Solutions:
You may receive a 421 error if the FTP server you are connected to limits the total number of connections available or limits the connections available to one user.  There are three things you can do:
    1. Limit the number of connections to any one FTP site by selecting Tools > Global Options > Connection and set "Per site max connections / transfers" to 1 (By default it will be set to 2).
    2. Remove items from the Transfer Queue.  The Transfer Queue is where you see items ready for transfer, in transit, or just transferred.  Sometimes the Queue Pane can become cluttered with unfinished transfers.  To clear the queue, right-click inside it and choose Remove All.
Also try using an FTP manager like cuteFTP or something of that sort to see if you can open the connection - it could be related to the FTP settings...

    Hope it helps....

  • Indesign disconnects from Networked server

I have Indesign 6 installed on a macintosh 10.6.8 and always work from files on the server. Indesign is part of the creative suite 6 with the latest updated. The issue I am having is that if I don't use the software for about half an hour it disconnects from the server; if I go for lunch and leave an artwork open, to only way of getting it back is to force close indesign and restart the software and the file is recovered. Does anyone know if Indesign creates a cache file on the hard drive - I think this may be the issue as it does not exist in any folder. If there should be one such file, how to I recreate it or anyone knows how to repair indesign without re-installing it. Thanks.

This is a well-known problem with ID and network connections. The best advice I can offer is don't leave files open and leave the machine.

  • Why does my mac keep disconnecting from SMB Share

    Hi Guys,
I'm having a little issue with my office network. We have a small network of 4 Windows 7 PC's and 2 Apple Macbooks pro running Snow leopard 10.6.8
We use to have an old server that was running Windows XP which was working great with all the computers. 2 weeks ago the server died, so instead of buying a new server I just moved the "Shared" folder (with all our files) to one of the Windows 7 PC's and made that our new server.
Everything has been working fine between the PC's, they have NO issue. But the macs refuse to stay connected. They'll connect fine and work Ok for a few hours, but eventually they will always disconnect and we'll have to restart them. We restart them several times a day and it's very annoying.
The windows 7 share is just a regular share with the "everyone" group getting full permissions (even though we connect with the Administrator account on the PC). I disable 128bit encryption, and enabled SMB file sharing on the macs, I disabled sleep and hibernation on all machines but it still disconnects.
Does anybody have any ideas to what could be causing this or what alternatives I can take?
Is there a way to start an AFP server on that Windows machine?

    Hey sydthekyd5,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your home Wi-Fi network. Check out the following resource for relevant information regarding your symptoms:
Wi-Fi: How to troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202222
Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly
    - Your Mac may not not stay connected to your Wi-Fi network reliably.
    - Your Mac may stop accessing the Internet during use.
    Solution
Use these steps if your computer disconnects from its Wi-Fi network unexpectedly.
    1. Check your range to the Wi-Fi router and reduce the effect of interference.
If your computer is too far from your Wi-Fi router or your environment has too much Wi-Fi interference, then your computer may not detect the Wi-Fi network properly. The easiest way to check for range limits with your Wi-Fi network is to move your computer or your Wi-Fi router closer together and make sure that there are no obstructions (such as walls, cabinets, and so forth) between the router and your computer.
See Potential sources of wireless interference for more information about interference and solutions.
    2. Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your computer works fine when connected to a different Wi-Fi network, then the issue may be related to your network router or ISP. In that case, contact the manufacturer of your router or your ISP.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Dreamweaver reports file "not found" when attempting to open files from SMB server...

User's work-files are hosted on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 volume accessed via SMB. She's been opening and saving the files from the server successfully in Dreamweaver for years from other Macs running Dreamweaver CS4.
Now she has an iMac running 10.7.4 and Dreamweaver CS6... and it's not the SMB problem you'd expect.
She mounts the server volume. She opens and saves files normally with full r/w permissions from any app... except Dreamweaver. For any file that she attempts to open in Dreamweaver -- whether from the Finder or from within Dreamweaver -- Dreamweaver pops up an alert reporting that the file at the file-path was not found. The same file is easily accessible from other apps and from the Finder. She continues to have full read/write access to the shared volume.
Local copies of the files do not have the problem. It only affects files hosted on the server and it only happens in Dreamweaver.
So, I create a new user account and everything works fine... The user mounts the sharepoint, opens a file with Dreamweaver... perfectly normal. Then she quits Dreamweaver and relaunches it... everything's fine. Repeatedly. It all works normally. She quits Dreamweaver and unmounts the share, then she mounts the share again and tries to open a file in Dreamweaver again... and it reports that the file was not found.
This is reproducible: If the server volume has been mounted and unmounted repeatedly under any user account, that triggers the error which continues occurring under that user account from that point on. A restart will not fix it. A safe-boot will not fix it. (In fact, restarting seems to trigger the problem by unmounting the volume.)
I tried trashing the entire contents of the ~/Library folder in one of the test-user accounts. It doesn't fix the problem. Once it strikes a user account, the only temporary fix seems to be using a new user account. And that's like a ticking time bomb just waiting for the problem to pop up again.
    Any ideas?
    TIA!!

I've seen on two computers so far. Looking at the mount point under unix, the share is being mounted at two different locations. This is normal behaviour for Macs when you mount two different shares with the same name.
    From terminal I run:
    df
    Which returns something like
    /dev/disk0s2                           1951845952 224463456 1726870496    12%    /
    devfs                                         360       360          0   100%    /dev
    map -hosts                                      0         0          0   100%    /net
    map auto_home                                   0         0          0   100%    /home
    //[email protected]/website  204360384  38067872  166292512    19%    /Volumes/website
    //[email protected]/website  204360384  38067872  166292512    19%    /Volumes/website-1
    map -fstab                                      0         0          0   100%    /Network/Servers
Notice that the share "website" has been mounted once as website, and again as website-1. This is the underlying unix name for the share, which is how most programs (99% sure including Adobe suite products) will reference files. So, if it thinks that the file is at /Volumes/website/site/index.html but can only see /Volumes/website-1/ then it doesn't know what to do.
The confusion arises because both will show in Finder as "website". Even more annoying is that Finder does not always unmount shares correctly, so that /Volumes/website might not be accessible but /Volumes/website-1 will be. As far as the user is concerned, the share "website" is still mounted, but as far as Dreamweaver is concerned, it isn't, although website-1 is.
It's the same share, same data, but is being referenced by different names, so does not seem accessible.
    BUT
I don't have a solution yet, apart from force unmounting both (or rebooting), remounting, and checking that Dreamweaver is using the right share (perhaps by removing and readding from within Dreamweaver).
    Tedious.

  • Cannot bring up saved page, complete or HTML only, if disconnected from internet: "Server not found"

I right clicked, chose "Save Page As...", chose both HTML Only and Complete on 2 different tries. When I tried to bring the page back up when disconnected from the internet network, I receive the "Server Not Found" error page. I shouldn't have to be connected to bring a saved page back up. I've not had this happen before, and it has only happened w/ a particular page, but one which is perfectly normal. What might be the explanation and solution? Thank you.
    Jeff Bowrs

I would start with seeing if the Web Browser on the G4 can get to 192.168.0.1 which should be the web server (Set Up pages) on the router.
If that does not work I would double check the cable (Use another).
If you can I would connect two computers together and see if the Self Assigned IP (169.xxx.xxx.xxx) works to eliminate the Ethernet Card.
You have no connection to the Internet.
You need to sort out where it is breaking down.
As other devices seem to get on the 'Net then it would appear to be:-
The Ethernet Port on the routing device.
    The Cable itself.
The Card or Port on the Mac

  • I have been disconnected from my server. Can't reconnect properly.

I just tried to upload a new page I realized that I was no longer connected with my server.  I called my host and someone walked me through resetting the connection.  It seemed to work but the files are going in the wrong folder so there must be something wrong. I called them again and the second person didn't want to do any Dreamweaver support and was not helpful. Can anybody help me?
First page: I have the right site name and the right local site folder.
    Server:
    Server name "unnamed server"
    connect using: "FTP"
    FTP address: mysite.com (Port 21)
    Username: "myusername"
    Password: (correct password)
    Root Directory: no entry
    Web URL: "http://mysite.com"
more options: use FTP performance optimation..
    Version Control
    access: none
The files upload but  go into the general folder for the site instead of the public_html folder.

Thank you for your reply, Nancy.
It's a very small site with a very small audience who are not likely to see my typos immediately.  I DO preview major changes locally, but usually not every day additions.  My editor sits across the room from me and I know how to delete from the server.  Could you tell me how to upload on save?  I know I've seen it recently, but can't seem to find it again.  This been one of those days when something that should have taken 30 seconds has cost me a day. I do not know what happened to my settings.

  • Trying to disconnect from a server

I used my personal laptop at my old job and IT connected it to a server. When I left, I forgot to have them disconnect it and now I get very annoying error messages, the biggest during my login: "There was a problem connecting to the server. The server may not exist or is unavailable at this time."
I've tried these things from other discussions, to no avail:
    - Finder/Go/Connect to Server, I clear recent servers. No luck.
    - Under System Preferences/Users & Groups/Admin user Login Items it shows the server, but I am unable to click the box to "hide" or even delete it, although I can edit other items in this list.
Please help! This is very irritating!

I get the blue screen asking me for a forgotten password -11 months of storage and an old brain. Thanks very much i am windows gluent and as a friend remarked when he'd queried me as to which laptop i'd bought told him i'd gotten a good deal on an old g4 model, he said " you're not a pc user anymore, you're a cult member. I still smile at that.

  • MAC Office 2011 continues to disconnect from Exchange server.

Just install / deploy a new iMAC running OSx 10.9.5 and MAC Office / Outlook 14.4.5 (141003).  After a period of idle time the Outlook client indicates "not connected to <exchange server>".  Have to exit and re-open / relaunch Outlook
client in order to get the client to update / sync.   Tried recreating account / profile -- doesn't resolve issue.
    OWA works fine / smartphone works fine too;
Windows PC running Windows 7 and Office 2013 works fine too.
    Please Help.
    Thank you,
    Bill

    Hi Bill,
Based on my knowledge, here are some differences between Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Mac when connecting to Exchange:
    1. Outlook for Windows accesses autodiscover via SCP, MAC Outlook
uses only the predefined URLs, the HTTP redirect check, or the DNS SRV lookup method. This is similar to what Outlook uses when it runs Autodiscover service from outside the organization’s network.
    2. Outlook for Windows use Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) to connect to Exchange 2013 while Outlook for Mac uses Exchange Web Services to communicate with the Exchange server.
Since the issue only happens in Mac users, I suggest we can ask a question in Outlook for Mac forum for more suggestion:

  • OUTLOOK 2013 DISCONNECTED FROM EXCHANGE SERVER

Outlook 2013 works fine on Laptop that did not participate in the update on Tuesday for Office.  The desktop unfortunately did perform update.  Since that time Outlook cannot connect to the Server.  What happened?

    Hi,
Do you mean the Outlook in desktop can't connect to Exchange server since installing a update? Does it show "Disconnected" in the bottom-right of the Outlook window after opening Outlook?
Please make sure your desktop network is well and it is restarted after performing update. Then disable Exchange Cached mode in Outlook and use Outlook online mode to check whether it works well. If everything works fine in Online mode, please
    create a new Outlook profile
for Cached mode to check whether the issue persists.

  • N95 - emails vanish when disconnect from server??

    Hi,
I've set up my N95 to send and receive emails - its doing both even though when I "send" it says server not found but the email DID arrive at its destination..??
My other problem is that after I have downloaded emails to my phone and I then disconnect from the server - when I then goto reconnect those emails dissappear.. Is there a setting to stop this from happening?
can you help me with eithe rof those issues?
    Thank you
    Angela

Good luck with that.  It most likely has something to do with the network, and Bridge is really not set up for network function.  It works that way but Adobe says there are so many variables with networks that can not be quantified.  Not sure but if  Bridge does error checking like Photoshop does it could lead to what you see.

  • Clean way to disconnect from server?

I can't find any socket.disconnect() method (just a socket.isConnected()). What's the cleanest way to disconnect from a server? I just do a socket.close, but then i get this exception on the server:
    java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
    at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(Unknown Source)
    at java.io.ObjectInputStream$PeekInputStream.read(Unknown Source)

    at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readStreamHeader(Unknown Source)
    at java.io.ObjectInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source)

You can send a bye message.
Once the server has that it knows that it can close the socket on its end (and it can safely ignore a reset error.)

    Hi,
I'm working on a small automator workflow that helps me synchronizing iTunes music across 3 computers. Basically it connects to a server, uses the sync folders action to synchronize the contents and then I want to disconnect from the server.
That's the point where I'm stuck ... searched the web but couldn't find a real answer how to disconnect from a server using Automator.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot!

I don't have an answer for you.
Did you ever get it working?
If so I would like to shamelessly steal your workflow.
