Slow mobile internet (but it's faster on PC using hotspot) :/ ?

I guess I'm one of the lucky users because tethering is working on my Xray. I always use hotspot as I find it faster than tethering. And (I don't know if it's just me but) I think the connection is faster when using hotspot than tethering. And also I can't use any internet app on my phone except Opera. The Youtube, stock browser, FB, Gplay app is not loading (mobile data). But on my PC everything works fine, (connected to hotspot [mobile data]) I can watch videos on Youtube and download on internet. What could be the problem?

It's not Apple that makes an adapter, it's Clear. Originally, they made a Clear Spot that made a Wi-Fi hotspot out of your Clear USB modem. Clear no longer sells them directly, but you may be able to find them elsewhere.

Insert query is very slow on prod but is very fast on the local

Hi,
An insert statement ( bulk insert..) takes around 45 minutes to insert 25,000 records in prod but the same in our local env( local env is a copy of production) takes 3 minutes for inserting 1,50,000 records . This is a very huge difference. The explain plan of queries on both the env is same. The query is a simple join between a GTT ( 25,000) and a normal table ( with 10 records).
I still dont have the trace for the query from prod . The database version on prod is 11.1.7 and the version on local is 11.1.6
In the mean time while I wait for the trace it would be really helpfu If any of you can let me know the parameters /next steps that should be followed. I have compared the session level parameters on both the env and its the same.

Look for cost, bytes, and rows. These numbers can be off-base since they're estimates, but I'm wondering if the values are the same on both systems. Different values could mean the CBO is interpreting the data as having different characteristics. "almost the same" could suggest the CBO is making different decisions - not all operations are listed in execution plans. For instance, I've seen sort operations taking place from V$SESSION_LONGOPS when no sort was directly listed in an execution plan.

Slow down the Creative Entertainment Center Fast Foreward when using the X-FI Remo

Hello,
When watching videos on my computer using the?Creative Entertainment?Center app and the remote with my X-FI SoundBlaster card the fast forward goes from zero to ludicrous speed instantly. I usually end up fast forwarding half way through the file without intending to. Is there a setting or registry or any other adjustment I can use to slow this down to a sane level? A 30 second skip for instance would be wonderful!

Creative doesnt seem to hav plans to release Entertainment center for Audigy 2 ZS. But theres a way to install and use Entertainment center with AUDIGY 2 ZS Platinum/Pro. I first installed the Audigy 4 Modded PAX drivers for Audigy2 ZS with all softwares(i downloaded Audigy 4 ISO) , Then i uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled Audigy 2 ZS drivers , and again installed Entertainment Center, Guess what now Audigy 4 doesnt prompt me that i dont have the required HARD WARE before installation starts, and i can install ny Audigy 4 software(nothing much new though , only Entertainment center and Smart Recorder). and i am now enjoying Entertainment CENTER with my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and with Audigy 2 drivers!!!!.
I think its not proper on part of CREATIVE not to release Ent. Center for Audigy 2, as the IO box and remote control of Audigy 2 and Audigy 4 are the same( RM-500 remote). so wats the point in keeping Ent. Center just for Audigy 4 and Up?

-Even the Press of CMSS button takes u to the full screen app. again causing INTERRUPTION!!!!!
- Doesn't Have a SEARCH option to search for tracks from thee Library
- No BASS/TREBLE/BALANCE Control thru. it

I don't use a proxy server to connect to the internet, but Firefox automatically configures itself to use the loopback address.

I have a direct connection to the internet and don't use a proxy server. Every few weeks, Firefox automatically resets itself to be configured to use a proxy server at the loopback address (127.0.0.1). Manually changing it back to "No proxy" works, but I have to do so each time I open the browser or even a new tab. The only fix I can find is to create a new profile which gives me a new, clean install of FF, but then I lose all my add-ons. This has happened repeatedly now and it's extremely frustrating. I have scanned for malware but have not found any problems.

hello rjlasser, first of all please make sure that none of your extensions is causing the issue (some youtube censorship circumvention addons also make use of proxies for example).

Note carefully that not all carriers support this function. Note further that, of those that do, many charge extra fees for it, and therefore it needs to be specifically subscribed to from the carrier. Either of those could be the case given the message you receive, so I'd recommend ringing up your mobile service provider to find out.

AppStore charged first and then told me i can not download through mobility internet. how to get money back?

i just about had it with this incompatibility. you offer micro card slots for mobility internet, but i can not use the app store with that?
please could someone tell me how i get my money back for an app the appstore wont let me download?
there is no wifi where i am, just lte and 3g.

N73 Mobile internet Problems

G'day,
My Nokia N73 Was on 3, and it was sold to me unlocked. I put my optus sim card in, and set everything up. I originally had a bit of trouble setting up the mobile internet, but i tweaked on of the settings, and it worked from then on. Recently, I had to re-formatt my phone, which reset everything. i have restored all of my settings, except i cant remember how to change my mobile internet settings to make it work for me. I know that it is possible to do without new programmes, but i just cant remenber how to do it!!!! Can anyone give me a hand or maybe even a clue as to how to get back on my mobile internet??!

Go to Tools > Settings > Access Point and see if your provider's access points are defined.
Go to Tools > Settings > Connection > APN Control and see if there's any restriction. If yes, go and unlock it with your PIN Code 2.
Go to Web > Settings > General > Access Point and see if the correct access point is being selected for your provider.
That's all the settings available for your phone from what I remembered..

I need your help to clarify the situation.
I am the user of iPHONE 8GB since October 2007.
Most recently, I found my phone bills have mobile internet access fee which I did not use (I left my iphone at home during my travel from Jan 13 - Feb 5, 2009). I made several phone calls to Fido, Canadian cellular telephone service provider to understand the matter. They gave me different sets of story. Today, their representative said that might be caused by Apple by sending the data to update my iphone.

Maybe someone borrowed your iPhone while you were away. Why'd you leave it behind anyway? I thought the whole idea of having a mobile phone was to take it with you. Can your provider at least tell you where the calls originated from? I mean what sites were visited? If you are not Chinese and your provider can tell you that all the charges relate to visiting sites in Chinese, then that might give you a clue.
As the proud owner of a new 3G phone for only a week I am pretty much of a virgin when it comes to iPhone problems. Haven't even got my first bill yet.
In addition I have a wireless network in my home and unless I am actually making a phone call I don't even unlock the SIM. My router is always switched off whenever I am not at the computer so no-one can park their cars out the front and use it.

I was hoping someone could help me. About a week ago I stopped being able to use roaming internet, sometimes the pages attempt to load for a long time before telling me there are connection problems and other times I am told that I am out of data and need to top up. I don't get why it would be either of these things as I've used the internet before in those locations and a signal is being picked up, and I just brought a new packet three days ago with 2gb of data which I've not been able to use because I can't access mobile internet and haven't come close to using the 2gb of data in any previous months. Fast fios on internet BUT VERY SLOW DOWNLOADS that also drop out and stall!

Spent hours on with customer service to no help!
FIOS works great and fast exploring and browsing the internet but beginning to today for no apparent reason on every computer on my network using MAC's every download is SLOW. For instance 500mb take 2 hours+ when normally they take 2 minutes to download. Also, every 1 of 2 downloads stop and don't even finish.
Any ideas or suggestion will be incredibly grateful!!!!

Is video streaming from various websites also affected? How about uploads?

How much free space on the startup disk?
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you have a minimum of 15% free disk space.
If you have anti virus software installed, that could be a factor.

* The first time you start up any application after turning on your computer is called a cold start, which is why Firefox takes a while to load right away. (I've noticed that future versions of Firefox start up faster on a cold start then Firefox 5.0.1.) Also, a lower amount of RAM could be slowing its start-up down since Firefox is kind of memory hungry.
* As for the second part of your question, press ctrl,Alt, and the delete keys on your keyboard. The Windows Task Manager should start. Go to the processes tab and look for 'firefox.exe'. Right click on the firefox.exe and click 'End Process'. Hit Yes and wait for a minute.
* Then opening Firefox again.
