Itunes Movie down loads appear to be getting slower and slower in my area mates are having the same problem with their apple tv s we all use to be able to wath a rented movie straght away but now it take up to 6hrs to be able to watch a HD movie

I'm in NZ and have a 100Mbps link, tested on Speedtest, and downloads from Apple - and ONLY Apple - take forever (like 2Hr or more before a movie will even play). I've tried setting the DNS to my ISP's DNS manually. There is no local interference, WiFi is working well otherwise.
It isn't local to my network, and seeing as access to the internet otherwise isn't demonstrating this sort of sluggish behaviour, I'd say it isn't the ISPs problem either.And what do you know, lots of other people are reporting problems with access to Apple's services being glacial and getting slower over time.
It is patently clear where the problem is, and it is at Apple's end of things. They clearly have insufficient infrastructure to support downloads at a reasonable speed.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Movies down load for Pakistan,how it possible?

Mac app store does not offer rent or purchase movie down load for Pakistan, where as if choose the other region/country then it has but for payment through credit card a valid address of billing is equired. Can any one help me to convince apple to up grade the Pak Mac App Store so that I may enjoy the movies.

The Mac App Store does not offer movies for download, only iTunes.

Pakistan is not listed under Video Content. It may be a digital rights management issue.
Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.

Purchased movies, download movie which can take more than 2 hrs. Too late to watch so turn TV off

Well we found out what to do, Go to itues Prefrences and then go to play back, check the Preferred Video Version, and make sure it's in 720p not 1080p, you can down load 1080p movies and tv showe, but on the 1st and 2nd Gen Apple TV's they only play back 720p, the 3rd Generation plays 1080p and it's only 99.00. We are getting one for Christmas from a Family member I think. Good luck, and I hope this helps!!!

Are trying to get an HD movie that you produced with iMovie on the iPhone downloaded to your PC? I have had this problem with a long movie but not with a short one. Thus far I have had success with a 4 minute movie. I spoke with Apple support twice and they were unable to help me or even acknowledge that they were aware of an issue

I had the same thing happen two days ago with my d-link wireless router. I could see that the connection icon (ice cream cone) was connected, but it wouldn't connect in safari.
I hadn't loaded any new updates or anything. The only thing that happened was that the power was interrupted in the middle of the night, and I had to reboot the router. My other computers(laptop/desktop) came back and worked fine, but my MBP running 10.4.11 wouldn't connect.
It was still under 90 day warranty, so I called APL-CARE. They said that one of the recent updates, required me to change the security settings on the router. Apple only felt that running a WPA account was the safe way of using wireless. I was running on WEP. So I went into the router(in my browser) and turned off security all together. Sure enough my MBP worked. I then changed the setting to WPA, and gave it a new password.
I went back to all my computers, logged into all of them with the new security settings/password and I am all online now.

Movies & TV shows I have from I-Tunes are currently not able to play on my Apple Tv unit.
I have unplugged numerous times ,updated ,reset modem,put back to factory settings,

I'm having the same issue on Apple TV 3. I can play the content on my computer, iphone or iPad but I can't on my Apple TV. I just bought Guardians of the Galaxy via my Apple TV and the purchase went through but when I try to play the content I get this error. However I tried renting a movie and guess what? I can play rentals just fine. This is only effecting Apple TV. Not just movies though, I can't play my iTunes music either. This is BS it's been going on for days now. Tried resetting the appletv to factory defaults and reconfiguring it and nothing.
I Want acknowledgement from apple that there is an issue and they are working to resolve It.
it's a shame, since Steve Jobs passed I've noticed a decline in the quality of work that Apple does. Not a fan of the Post-Steve Jobs UI's that seem to be only half thought-through either. Why do I enter a URL in what appears to be a raised button in Safari on Yosemite?
Apple better tighten their **** back up or soon the quality will be more on par with what you would expect from Windows or a PC.

If you downloaded it on your Mac then it should be in the Movies section of your iTunes library - is there a 'rentals' tab on that screen ?

Thanks for your response. My mail server is Road Runner (Time Warner). Their techs checked all of my System Pref settings and confirmed that they are correct, from which they conclude that the problem lies with Mac Mail.
Is there a way to check the certificates problem you suggested as the problem?

Rented or purchased movies can be synced onto the iPad through iTunes. You must have enough storage space on the device of course.
If you are streaming from another app (like netflix) you need wifi to watch.
